Studio is one of, if not the best restaurant in Maastricht. I visited for the first time early last year, and I’m still thinking about how amazing it was. I was truly blown away by everything—the food, from the quality to the flavors and presentation; the staff, who were kind and knowledgeable; and the atmosphere, which was clean, upscale, and cozy. I’m looking forward to hopefully returning soon.

It is known that Gilbert's cuisine is excellent, he is an innovator in the composition and taste experience of his dishes. But also a special compliment to the ladies and gentlemen in the service, they come across as relaxed, professional and very involved. We don't always encounter this in a restaurant with a Michelin star. You really feel at ease here.

From the first to the last minute we entered, we really enjoyed ourselves! The atmosphere, the dishes, the wines and the staff. Everything was just perfect. In summary: best restaurant experience ever (so far()!

Once again a fantastic meal, beautiful dishes with pure ingredients. Very nice and knowledgeable service and it is still fun when the chefs come to the table and tell us something about the dish. Nice wines on the menu with good advice. The 2016 Chablis was a really good choice.

Fantastische avond gehad voor de 63e verjaardag van mijn vader. We hadden het 7 gangen menu met wine pairing waar ik nog het kaviaar gerechtje bij koos. Elk gerechtje was weer uniek en interessant. Ook de wijnen van de pairing sloten mooi aan op de gerechtjes. U wordt vriendelijk bediend door een speels en jong team. Wij komen zeker terug!

Sober decor, good acoustics. Tables at an appropriate distance. Perfect service!! Sufficient explanation of the dishes and wines. Young but well trained staff. Pricey and quality.

Last night we had a vegetarian dinner at Studio. After a friendly welcome, the first dishes quickly appeared on the table. It was an evening with surprising flavor combinations. We greatly appreciated the depth and heartiness of the dishes. The team worked very well together. Really oiled. And all with friendliness and knowledge. The wines were top notch. And the explanation was enjoyable and interesting. Nice that the Chefs presented their dishes themselves. Had a great evening.

We ate again with friends at Studio and each time we are very surprised by the creative way in which Gilbert brings each course of the dinner to the table in terms of taste and presentation. Each dish is an explosion of flavors from different world cuisines. The accompanying wines are well chosen and combine perfectly with the dishes. Each course and wine is explained in detail and expertly in a pleasant manner by the professional and extremely friendly team. In short, a fantastic restaurant and an asset to Maastricht. If you want to be truly culinary surprised, Studio is the best place in the entire region.

We had another fantastic evening at Restaurant Studio last Friday. The dishes were, as always, sublime. What really sets Studio apart is the casual and extremely friendly approach of the staff. Every time we eat here it feels like no other restaurant can match the quality and experience that Studio offers. No matter what is on the menu, it is always delicious and exceeds our expectations every time. An absolute must for anyone looking for a top experience in a hospitable and relaxing setting!

Very nice small-scale restaurant. Staff very friendly and very caring without being pushy. Staff work well together and enjoy it. This was clearly visible in the open kitchen. The food was special. Beautiful combinations of flavors. Certainly not standard. Also a delicious meal for vegetarians, they have a separate vegetarian menu. All in all we had a nice evening! Thank you!

Dining at the bar of studio by myself was a very pleasant experience. The waiter who welcomed me and served the wine was friendly and enthusiastic, and I appreciated all his thoughtful recommendations. The seafood were well prepared, free of any fishy smell, and the acidic like Verjuice, were perfectly balanced, and complementing the dishes rather than overpowering them. All the ingredients used by the chief was both innovative and bold, with several dishes incorporating Chinese and Japanese inspirations. What impressed me the most was the grilled ribs paired with sushi rice—a combination I’d always wanted to cook at home but never had. It turned out to be a surprisingly pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was excellent, and the service exceptional. This is undoubtedly a top-tier modern restaurant in Maastricht that’s worth a visit

We had an unforgettable afternoon at Studio together with the entire Tripolis Business Support team. All dishes were excellent and the service was very good. We were a group of 12 people and the layout of 2 tables of 6 people each was perfect. We have agreed with the team that we will come back in 2025.

We enjoyed it again; this time from the new menu, of which it would be a shame if you had to or wanted to miss a course. Well balanced and provided with excellent matching wines. We had a fantastic evening at Studio, really enjoyed it. We were lucky enough to sit at the bar, which was a super fun experience. Often a nice chat with the chefs and service, and a unique insight into the kitchen. The dishes were unique, special ingredients and textures, had beautiful flavor combinations, and were overall simply super delicious. The non-alcoholic drinks were also very good and original! Really added something. We would love to come back again!

Great experience. Lunch started with 3 delicious appetizers. Both the regular menu and the vegetarian menu were delicious. Extensive explanation from the chefs about the course for each course. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Tasty wines. The homemade sourdough bread with homemade butter was delicious! Eating at Studio is highly recommended. We will definitely go back!

Every plate just makes perfect sense. Everything is full of flavor. 100% best food in Maastricht (probably in NL!) What a home made bread and butter too! That alone could be a Michelin star meal.

Wij komen nu al enekle jaren bij Studio, maar steeds weten ze ons te verbazen, verrassen. Wij houden het niet voor mogelijk, maar iedere keer vinden wij het weer een culinaire reis, naar steeds mooiere en lekkerdere oorden. Gisterenavond was voor ons TOP. Spijs en drank super, bediening kan niet beter, sfeer optimaal. Wij hopen hier nog heel vaak terug mogen komen en nog jarenlang van dit niveau te mogen genieten.

We thoroughly enjoyed a creative menu prepared in an open kitchen. During the evening there is interaction with the entire team, including chefs. The friendly staff contributed to a pleasant, casual atmosphere. Simply perfect and recommended to everyone.

Wij hadden gekozen voor het 5 gangen lunch menu. Wat een overheerlijke smaakbommen! Het begon al bij de amuses bij ons glaasje champagne! Hun zelfgebakken zuurdesembrood en boter met kefir werden meer dan genoeg aangevuld! Kortom, alles was echt top!! Heerlijk en volop genoeg gegeten. Het glaasje rode wijn uit Californië bij mijn gerecht met reebok is een echte aanrader! Top top top👍👌

My husband and I had a delicious meal here yesterday. A unique evening. The menu was not at all what I expected in terms of food. It is a unique menu in the most positive sense of the word. A total surprise for us, which allowed us to try a lot and it was all so delicious. The combinations and the great sauces made it complete. There is a very cozy atmosphere, which makes your evening not only delicious, but also really relaxing. Everyone is sincere and friendly and the chef also visits regularly. We understand why people love to come back here. We enjoyed it! Everything was beautifully prepared. I only thought about taking a photo once :)

For the third time we visited Restaurant Studio in Maastricht, and this time we enjoyed a delicious lunch with five people. Every time we come here we are again surprised by the excellent quality and service, and this visit was no exception. The menu was again superb, with a wide range of delicious dishes that offered something for everyone. What particularly struck us was the flexibility of the staff. Even though we wanted to order another dish in between, nothing was too much to ask. This flexibility and customer focus always make eating at Restaurant Studio an enjoyable experience. The service was, as always, top notch. The staff is professional, friendly and extremely attentive. The dishes were served quickly and efficiently, and the drinks were perfectly matched to our meal. It's clear that the team at Restaurant Studio are passionate about what they do, and it shines through in their excellent service and attention to detail. Damon and I look back on a special evening with our visit to Studio. It started with a beautiful spot, a view of the kitchen and the restaurant. The atmosphere is informal but extremely professional, which created a very relaxed, casual atmosphere as a guest. Unique. It was noticeable that the brigade worked well together and enjoyed what they achieved. For dinner we opted for 9 courses. We were surprised 9 times and afterwards time seemed to have stood still. Beautiful dishes with one flavor explosion after another. Incredible where the inspiration comes from and how it is brought together perfectly and subtly. From Indian, Arabic to French influences. We experienced a very fun and beautiful culinary world trip!

Truly an incredible experience. From start to finish you will be taken on a journey from local flavors Asian inspired dishes influences from the eastern Mediterranean and India. All executed to perfection with the best ingredients. The chefs come table side with excellent explanations The wine pairings are spot on and the wines chooses of great quality and all explained to detail. Fantastic food, it's true art! The service is very nice, spontaneous and cheerful. In short, definitely worth spending a great evening.

Had lunch here with friends on Friday afternoon. The second time for us. And our friends were taken along in their enthusiasm about this place. And it was another great experience. Beautiful dishes with complex preparations and flavors. Various spices used subtly, occasionally using fermentation. And all this in this wonderfully informal setting where you almost get the feeling that you are sitting in the living room with Gilbert and his attentive team. This restaurant is high on our favorites list and will remain so for a while. Closed on weekends. But if you have the opportunity, an extensive lunch is highly recommended.

Wow! After last night I'm only afraid of one thing. Will we still be able to go there regularly in a year's time? The question is not whether Gilbert will get a star, but when and how much. For now: by far our favorite restaurant.

Pleasantly surprised by the younger crowd that sat around us during lunch. And by the pleasant and professional hostesses who guide us through the various corridors. The chef passionately listed all the ingredients before we were allowed to taste and we enjoyed it with a suitable wine pairing! No, the place is not very fancy and is devoid of decades of history, but the food is cooked and served at a high level. Next time we will come and see what the experience is like during dinner. Because once you've been here, there's a good chance you'll come back.
