Surinaams restaurant Shereen in Wijk 21 Regentessekwartier

The food was delicious and the service was great! For an evening of Surinamese food for six people, Shereen and her colleague were very helpful and helped us create a great menu! The next day, I was able to pick it up fresh and warm, and the six of us thoroughly enjoyed it! So many different flavors and dishes. We'll be back! Thanks, Shereen and her colleagues!

The food has seriously deteriorated. The rotis and baras are tasteless. The staff, an older man, doesn't look very fresh and isn't friendly or customer-friendly. Another Hindu woman is also not customer-friendly; it feels like they're running a clubhouse.

I had a great meal at Shereen. The food was deliciously fresh as always and it tasted excellent again! I have been coming here for years and will definitely keep coming back. Thanks for the good service and the real Surinamese taste. 👍🏽

Very bad Food was cold Ordered large peanut sauce got it in a container where you buy a container of American file in the supermarket, they call it large, you pay 4 euros for it. Ordered bami sate, I'm not sure what sate meant? It was just chicken fillet ketjap. Ordered and paid for extra sambal and didn't get it. Roti incredibly dry. We will never order from here again, that's one thing for sure.

Now different owner than when I was there last. This was delicious. I had roti lamb and my husband with chicken fillet. Real authentic taste. Definitely go more often

Ordered nasi chicken fillet ketjap (takeaway). I get nasi chicken fillet curry. No pepper or acid, and very meager portions (chicken) that you can get through with half a nasi. For The Hague standards where competition is high in the catering industry, you expect something better.

Since our move to The Hague, we have tried various Surinamese restaurants. This restaurant has the tastiest sandwiches so far! Well filled, good taste and a tasty pepper sambal. And super friendly owners, definitely worth making a detour for!!

Saleswoman was not very attentive when taking the order. She even thought I had ordered nasi with chicken curry (what kind of combination is that?!). She did not seem very friendly. I also found it quite annoying that the saleswoman was listening to Hindustani songs quite loudly on her phone. The nasi chicken fillet itself is not recommended at all. The chicken fillet was dry and had no taste. With the nasi you got a bowl of long beans (also not a tasty addition, quite salty). I also only got five small pickled cucumber slices. Pretty scanty!

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The saleswoman was anything but friendly; she was dry and distant, which did not improve the overall atmosphere. The food was also a major disappointment: scanty, bland and absolutely not of the quality you would expect. It was clearly not prepared properly and definitely not worth selling. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant to others. Truly a missed opportunity!

We love to come with my whole family at this restaurant. It feels like going to family. The staff is extremely friendly and the food authentic. It is a must to taste the rice with pom and their roti's are huge and delicious!!

Came home for the 3rd time in a short time with roti chicken instead of ordering and paying for special. Roti vegetarian was also given incorrectly. Was the only customer at that time, so it's still a shame to make a mistake. Prices have recently rapidly increased from 6 to 7 to 8 to 9 euros and portions have been reduced. And now the most important thing has changed: the recipe for the curry chicken. Always a tried and tested recipe, already from the owner for Nazir. Now a kind of brown sludge of dry rancid sauce. End of exercise.

This tent has seriously deteriorated. Both quality of food and customer friendliness of staff. You will not be helped properly by a dirty-looking older Surinamese man. Whole outfit including shoes are filthy. If you see him standing behind the 90's Bali, your appetite will go away.

Yesterday, after a long time, I got tello cod and chicken satay. Quality has deteriorated significantly. Weirdest satay ever, rock hard pieces of salty meat in a container? Unfortunately straight into the trash. Cassava also burnt.

We have always loved the roti there for 12 years, but since new employees have been trained, the quality has dropped significantly. I really hope this gets better, but a roti roll without roti, waiting 15 minutes at the counter just to pick up an order and a poorly filled and folded roll is really disappointing. Delicious rotis! Plastic container one euro each? Black plastic is not recyclable anyway, so choose different packaging or just put it in the roti itself as it should be and it will then be free...

Went to Shereen's today and had a delicious meal here. I had a fried cod sandwich with sambal and pickles and a spring roll. These were both delicious. The cod sandwich was warm and slightly crispy with a tasty sambal but not overpowering. Spring roll as a spring roll should be, simply delicious! Brought a bara with chicken curry for the afternoon. We were a group of 8 people and the food was served quickly. Bara was freshly made and well stocked. Empty bara was 3 euros and a filled one with chicken curry was 8 euros. Quite pricey, but it will last you a whole meal. Highly recommended!

Ordered food today, 3 delicious sandwiches, unfortunately the Thuisbezorgd delivery person made a mistake. But this has been resolved very well! I got to keep the roti and stuffed bara with chicken and my sandwiches came quickly after. Food is excellent and tastes good. You don't deserve this review just because of the free food! Extremely expensive. Order spring rolls, expect Surinamese spring rolls.. do you get Vietnamese spring rolls?? The taste of the food is also very disappointing.

Called in advance and ordered 2 sandwiches with 2 pies. When you arrive, they have forgotten to prepare your order. Then you have to wait another 25 minutes, then it turns out that there is only 1 pie left, then when you want to eat, they have forgotten the pickles and the sandwich is dry and tasteless. It was the first time and the last time.

Echt heerlijk hierzo. Dikke aanrader. Was met mn vriendin eten en de service was top! Bami kip, roti rol speciaal, baras, 2 broodje kip kerrie genomen. Leek wel koningsdag toen het aankwam. Eten was ZO GOED. Normaal ben ik kleine porties gewend van Surinaamse zaken maar deze mensen denken daar niet aan. Gewoon volle borden en zeer smaakvol!! Aanradertje!

Kom hier vaak in m’n pauze broodje kip kerrie halen. Ben altijd heel tevreden en ik blijf terug komen! Ook hele vriendelijke mensen :)

De aardappels waren net geen puree de kouseband was heel weinig het vlees was droog en deel aangebrand en het geheel en ik kan niet tegen pittig maar was heel flauw

Vandaag roti kip speciaal besteld. Heb vaak afgehaald, maar besloot om een keer daar te eten na een lange werkdag. Heel leuke en vriendelijke mensen (broer en zus): ondanks dat het mega druk was, bleven ze lachen en vriendelijk. Ze boden hun welgemeende excuses aan voor het lange wachten en een gratis extra drankje (wat niet eens nodig is) aan de mensen die in de zaak aten. Het eten is en blijft top: grote porties, goed gevuld, heerlijk van smaak en 100% halal hmdl. Broer en zus die elkaar het leven op een leuke manier zuur maken, maar dat is die Sranan fattoe :) Lobi voor deze hardwerkende mensen en voor de zaak! Hoop dat jullie het goed blijven doen en succesvol blijven. Krachti nanga lobi!

Ik bestel hier best vaak. Vind het alleen jammer wanneer je punten spaart en korting krijg het eten minder lekker is. Dit keer bij speciaal extra groente hoop dat dit zo blijft. Verder is het lekker 🙂

Saus bij de roti kip was erg zout en waterig. Kipfilet bij de bami was hard. Bij de Soto soep zat in 1 zakje met aardappelfrietjes, gebakken uitjes, tauge en ei. Aardappelfrietjes en gebakken uitjes waren hierdoor zompig geworden. Saus bakje was open gegaan, waardoor heel de onderkant van de tas onder zat. Dit aangegeven aan bezorger. Maar die zei alleen maar 'ja', verder niks.

Roti kip en telo bakkeljou besteld. Heel vaak eten hier gehaald maar gaat wel heel erg achteruit. Roti veel te groot randen uitgedroogd. Telo had wel iets langer gebakken mogen worden, was zo verschrikkelijk taai en geen smaak aan. Bakjeljou dreef in het vet. Nee dit was de laatste x dat we hier eten hebben gehaald.

Heerlijke broodjes, wij komen zeker terug!

Kijk het is wel lekker, maar als ik zeg doe een beetje sambal, bedoel ik ook een beetje sambal en niet een halve vulkaan aan lava in mijn broodje.

Naast de kromo de lekkerste rotitent van Den Haag. Je moet alleen geen haast hebben maar ja dat moet je sowieso niet ;)

Beste gevulde bara die ik ooit heb gegeten. Super zacht van structuur en niet droog de kip kerrie die erop zat ook heerlijk. Zeker een aanrader ! Dikke complimenten.

De kruiden, massala in het gerecht is heerlijk. En het gerecht smaakt heerlijk. Eten zijn betaalbaar en in groot hoeveelheid zodat je buik vol eet. Moeite waard om te komen eten. Er zijn genoeg tafels en wc is ook. 🥂🍽

Ik heb 2 Roti afgehaald. Een kans en een kip. Het was heerlijk van smaak en heb er enorm van genoten. Zeker een aanrader. Let wel op het betaald parkeren in de buurt. De parkeerdienst lijkt een hobby te maken van het rondrijden en beboeten!
