Sushi & Grill Restaurant Goya in Hoogvliet

Visited several times to assess whether the quality and service remain constant. This is in response to some very negative reviews here on Google. Visited on several days, and despite it getting busier, the dishes were still served neatly within a reasonable time. The staff are also friendly (serving), although a few (clearing) are a bit timid or quiet. This does not detract from the experience of "eating out" at this location. The menu has been tried and ordered extensively, the quality is excellent. The advice is clear to take the "all inclusive", drinks are on the expensive side. Nice thing. Food is good . What is striking is that over the years, for example, the squid skewers become smaller and smaller, so that it no longer even looks like the photo on the tablet. Sometimes it takes a little longer, sometimes very quickly. Waiting staff is a bit distant (except for 1 or 2). Sometimes it is a bit noisy. Anyway, a good place to eat.

Nice restaurant with all you can eat concept. It costs €45 and that includes drinks. There are a number of dishes that I recommend: the sushi, the salmon, carpaccio, sea bass, gyoza, steak, ripeye, tenderloin, lamb chop, chicken wings. And the beer they sell in Heineken.

It took me a while before I wanted to write a review about this restaurant. After the number 1 for me; Suki Yaki, later Daii Ichi and now that Sakura increasingly lost choice and became more and more expensive, Goya appeared to be getting better and better at the dishes and decently priced with their All-inclusive food and drinks. The service is also very fast and very nice. It remains human work; Both the service and the kitchen, but even when it is busy, it never disappoints. Goya is my new number 1 in Hoogvliet and my wife and I like to come there a lot and highly recommend this sushi restaurant. The influx of guests proves that we are not the only ones who think this way. Highly recommended, even on busy(er) weekends. 5/5

Food is good, but the staff could use some improvement, but the enthusiasm is not noticeable

Despite being a Monday evening, it was pleasantly busy. Staff was very polite and everything was neatly delivered.

The food is good, what you can expect. Sushi often takes a little longer than the rest.

Even though we had not made a reservation, there was still a table available on Saturday evening. We were served quickly. The cava was not completely chilled during the first glass, but the ice bucket certainly helped to get the cava to the right temperature. The service was good, because we were never left with empty glasses: they were always refilled. The food was tasty too. I can recommend the joya selection. A little more pepper sauce could have been used, but the meat was of good quality and well roasted. The slightly spicy patatas bravas were tasty. In short, a good experience!

In terms of food, one of the best sushi restaurants in the area. It's an all you can eat, so it does have a bit of that sauce on it, but the food is really great!

Very bad food. The service is even worse. We ordered three times. Most dishes are not delivered. When we wanted to start dessert, the dishes we had already ordered during the first rounds were put on the table. Eating here is a real waste of money.

I have eaten here often in recent years and I always enjoy this restaurant. Things have deteriorated over the past few years, you get smaller portions, if you order the same dish 7 times, you get the same thing as if you ordered it twice. The later it gets in the evening, the more the quality of the food deteriorates. The meat becomes a lot tougher. The service is very fast with collecting plates and bottles, which is very nice, but the service is not friendly. The girl put her tray down hard on the table and told us to "put it down" that we had to put everything on her tray ourselves, I thought this was very strange and certainly a shame since I always found the staff very good there Besides the fact that the quality has deteriorated in recent years, I still like to come here. Sushi is very tasty and the steak on the plate is very tender The beef teriyaki is also definitely recommended, I think it is very tasty! Unfortunately, this has also deteriorated.

Well, the concept always attracts a certain audience, but there are plenty of restaurants with a similar concept where you don't sit at the table like a herring in a barrel and where the grill items are fresh instead of reheated. A shame about the products. There's not much you can do wrong with sushi, except that you never get what you order... if you ever get it at all. Service also does not give you the feeling that you are welcome; stand a bit like traffic controllers, ordering other employees and guests around. Well, 1 star is sad for the employees who are constantly busy.

We would love to come there! Delicious food, often fast service and friendly staff. Definitely not around the corner for us, but definitely worth it for us!

Food was tasty except the tomato soup

Tasty food for a good price. The menu changes every now and then with enough variation.

We went last Saturday, it was really busy and the staff couldn't handle it. The service walked around like headless chickens, every round we didn't get 1 or 2 dishes and the dishes we got were dry and well done, there was hardly any sauce to be found. Then got food poisoning, vomiting all night.

Food comes either not or cold!!! Management does his/her best But when you have to deliver cold food to the tables, they are the first point of contact. Owner blames it on the cook without apologies! Came for a birthday and is now ruined! Won't be coming back... What a terrible experience this is!

Very messy in delivering to the table. Very long wait and orders that are in the first round come in the fourth round, etc. Not for me anymore. There were many customers who were dissatisfied.

Super tasty food, we are regular customers because it is always delicious, there is a nice girl, nice owner, they are super sweet! Nothing is too much to ask, just super honest people. Always cheerful and our favorite restaurant very satisfied. Gr gonzalez

Large restaurant with good seats and varied food and all orders via tablet. The restaurant lacks atmosphere and experience and there is a lot of noise due to the crowds. The portions are small and unfortunately not served hot and that really struck me and that was my disappointment. Good and fast service by young staff who places your order on the table but without information.

I've been going here for years, and it's absolutely delicious every time! The staff really does their best. Highly recommended to eat here :)!!

Better than your average all you can eat sushi. For a few euros more you can also have an all you can drink. And as icing on the cake, a dessert bar. Definitely worth repeating. P.s the rib eye is highly recommended

At Goya you can dine extensively for 2.5 hours (including an assortment of drinks if desired). You simply order via a tablet and it quickly arrives on the table. What strikes me is that the dishes are put on the table “just like that”. Personally, I would like to be told which dish is being served, as that gives (in my opinion) a better experience. We received extremely friendly and helpful assistance. Parking is free in the immediate vicinity or directly under the restaurant in the garage (please note, there may be charges).

The food was good, it came quickly and tasty. Service I don't know, so that! Atmosphere it is a chicken coop, feed factory, so yes the atmosphere is not really special.

We opted for All you can eat and drink. Unfortunately, we were not told that you have to pay extra for some dishes and drinks. We thought the price stated was if you order it separately. This made it quite an expensive affair. The price/quality ratio was therefore not in balance. The restaurant is unpleasant and very full. We didn't expect to find such a crowd on a weekday. The food was quite good.

Tasty food, nice location. It was quite busy and you had to wait more than fifteen minutes before they came to help you. Bringing drinks took more than 10 minutes and many food choices were not brought. So a tip is to either go very early or after 1930

Have eaten at Goya before. Although it is not cozy at all, the stampus is full and sounds like a chicken coop, the sushi is tasty. The last time the sushi was a bit less. Still decided to go again. Reserved at 7:15 PM. We arrived on time, there was a huge queue at the door... no room for us, huh, we had made a reservation anyway... we eventually left because there were still about 30 people waiting for us, all of whom had also made a reservation. Went for sushi elsewhere. No more Goya for us!

Delicious food. Everything fresh and meat mold. Dishes tasty and individual taste. Not all mixed with one and the same sauce/seasoning. Tastes like repetition. Service nice and smooth.

Opted for all you can eat and drink. Food is mediocre. Old dry rice and clearly some sushi has been ready for a long time. That's why I quickly stopped eating sushi. Then switch to the grill and fry. Meat dry and tasteless. In the end I only found the spare ribs to eat. Fish also of questionable quality. The salmon was ok. Tried mussels, special taste and elastic/chewy. Beer with special foam head and 'flat', then switch to water and wine. Finished with coffee and a piece of bacon biscuit. Nice evening for my daughter because she could let loose, but no repeat for me. Tried a lot from the menu but everything was substandard. Friendly and reasonably efficient service. All orders were processed correctly and most all you can eat restaurants cannot do that.

Nice restaurant that is a bit inferior to comparable all-you-can-eats. Food is not really fresh, reception and payment are not in a logical place.

Delicious food and drinks for a fixed price. Whether you like fish or not, there is plenty of choice. It's really up to you if you don't go home full. Staff were cheerful and helpful. I will eat here again soon!!

Nice meal. Fast service but a bit restless. Nice thing. Very busy on a Friday. Couldn't hear my table partner very well. I personally think the sushi you order if you have to pay a few euros extra is better. All in all a great evening. Helped again tonight. Varied sushi. What I think is a shame is that the tempura shrimp was no longer the same as last time. These just came ready-made from a box and were like breaded shrimp. I was just so looking forward to it

I don't like this concept. This was certainly tasty and good, I will definitely go back here again

I have eaten at Goya a few times before, but based on my last visit it is a faded glory. Now I know you can't expect haute cuisine at these types of concepts, but absolutely everything that was served was substandard. Sushi was warm, most of it tasteless or even impossible to remove and many things were dried out or the fat was dripping out. It was thrown onto the table by unmotivated/grumpy staff. The desert section looked like a battlefield, if there was anything left at all, because refilling was apparently not necessary. Robot cart(s) that play 'happy birthday' everywhere, not to mention the enormous noise, whether or not caused by the acoustics. In any case, you won't see me there again.

Food is fine but not special and very expensive. Service dramatic, food is thrown on your table, you don't get a glass but a straw in your bottle. All very cheap. Not recommended.

We didn't really like the food. Everything was very greasy and put in strange sauces that were not tasty. But tastes differ.

What a terrible place, I thought I'd give it a try. You order food via an iPad after which it is literally thrown on your table, besides that, it has little taste and it is very busy and noisy due to the high level of tokkie that goes on. 1 plus then, during Remembrance Day at 8 o'clock everyone was quiet.

Service is fairly fast. The sushi is OK, you have to ask for wasabi. The hot dishes are also served quickly and well. Large dessert buffet to end the evening.

Goya in Hoogvliet is great experience to dine in. Their Sushi is luke warm to eat. Many options to choose from and tasty, delicious. Warm and cozy atmosphere can be busy in the Weekend.

I don't like the food anymore, it used to be better. Too busy, uncomfortable.

Sushi in itself not bad but not very special.... The meat was really not tasty, strange flavors... tippan rib eye is served very nicely but does not taste anything like rib eye as it should be prepared..... There are also chicken wings on the menu (which my son was looking forward to) but they were no longer available, but there was a replacement with chicken.... no, unfortunately not anymore for us. The service was really good and the food came very quickly and was at a good temperature.

I've had a great meal there a few times over the past 3 years. Until today... 3 "hot" dishes were served cold The sour cucumber was old & shriveled Chicken & Beef cubes from the plate were tough and dry Hard soybeans And mini spring rolls/shrimp skewers without any flavor And €125 lighter... What a disappointment... :-(

Very dry sushi! Upon arrival, I was very surprised by the space and the amount of customers, so we were very excited to eat, but it was really disappointing. The desserts, on the other hand, were great, but that was the only thing! Definitely not worth €40 if you ask me.

Food quite ok. Nothing very special compared to other sushi restaurants. Acoustics are really bad. What a noise... Sushi takes a very long time. If you're hungry, order a soup or salad as a starter! Another tip: do not go for the 2nd session after 7 o'clock on the weekend. When we were ready at half past seven, there was a line of at least more than 50 people waiting for a table. Couldn't even go outside properly...

Matige sushi. De sushi en de rijst was aan de koude kant. De rijst hard en de vis komt dan ook niet tot z’n recht. Je krijgt je bestelling wel snel. De vleesgerechten zijn beter. Daarom een iets hogere score.

Many of our friends had already been here before and had positive reviews. We thought the food was mediocre. Small portions, quite small pieces of meat and very salty, many of the same flavors. Staff is friendly and service is smooth.

Delicious all you can eat sushi restaurant. No more for us

Been several times, but it's been a while now. Personally, we think it is less than it used to be. The ordered items are literally delivered to your table. We think sauce is expensive...had to ask for it several times. Sometimes the bottom was not yet covered. The salads contained a lot of lettuce, nice and cheap and little of what should really be present. I was already waiting at the cash register to pay, but the lady at the cash register thought her phone was more important and was happily texting. As far as we're concerned, the last time..... You can get better for that money!

The food was super greasy, grease was dripping off everything... it wasn't clean either, there was junk and receipts all over the floor. The dessert corner is filthy... a real food shack. When paying, no interest was shown towards us, the ATM was turned on without even looking at you. We won't be coming back here again. Very unfortunate for the price we paid.

Food was really disappointing this time. Much of the food was cold. The soup was heated up in the microwave and the same cups came back. Meat was dry and there was very little sauce with the dishes. The large shrimps were completely fried. Fish was so overcooked it was very dry. The dessert buffet was almost empty, all types of ice cream mixed together in the containers. I think we will look for another restaurant with better quality food. It was really disappointing this time.

When I ate here it was a bit on the busy side so some dishes took a little longer than others. Something to take into account if you are sensitive to that... I am not so I definitely recommend this. The food was tasty, the service was good and the restaurant looks neat and tidy. By the way, I had the drinks package with dinner. But I think you can easily remove this, so I also recommend it!

De sushi was niet vers en alle bijgerechten waren het net niet. Vreselijke bediening We hebben ronde 2 laten staan hebben betaald en zijn weg gegaan. Voortaan maar wat verder rijden.

Gisteren bij Goya geweest. Helaas na toch al een 15 keer heerlijk bij Goya gegeten te hebben viel het deze keer erg tegen. Bijna alle gerechtjes van vlees waren enorm in hoeveelheid afgenomen en soms proefde je geeneens wat voor vlees het was. Ook 1 op de 3 sushi vielen uit elkaar. Aan het einde gemeld want vind het gewoon erg jammer na al die fijne keren dat ik er ben geweest. Tja vervelend was het onpersoonlijke antwoord. Helaas Goya jullie zijn 1 klant kwijtgeraakt en ga op zoek naar een ander all you can eat restaurant. 1 Positief melding toch nog. De snelheid waarmee de gerechtjes verschijnen is echt ongekend.

Toilet has no paper, no soap, no air (air dryer) so the toilet is bad but the food was tasty especially the desserts😋😋😋

Not a nice restaurant. You have to wait way too long before you finally get something to eat. Especially if you order sushi. And they throw everything on your table, even if you didn't order it.

I hadn't been here for a long time, but I will definitely come back more often and sooner, it was all fine! Thank you for the fun and delicious evening.
