Sushi Mall in Zuidoost

I've eaten here twice with a friend; it was delicious and no problems. I ordered food from them today... What a disaster! There's hair in my child's fries, there's eggshell in the chicken batter, and I clearly stated there was no sauce with the beef, but they didn't even read it. Really bad... 40 euros wasted. I'm going to file a complaint with home care.

Stay away from this place! Dirty tables and chairs. We had to wait a long time for our food. Once it was brought, it was just dumped on the table. We weren't even asked if everything was to our liking. You had to beg for extra soy sauce or wasabi. Empty plates weren't taken away for ages. The tables around you weren't cleared, and you sat among the mess all evening. The children's corner was terrible. There was a constant lack of fresh air throughout the entire place. The only positive was that the sushi tasted okay and we weren't poisoned. I'll never go back. Update after a few years… Sushi Mall has gotten much better since then. The interior looks neat. Empty plates are taken away on time. You order with a grimy tablet, and food is brought to your table fairly quickly. The staff still bother to look guests in the eye and ask if everything is to their liking. Most importantly…sushi is simply the best in Groningen, especially the shrimp with garlic and a delicious sauce, superb!

I wouldn't come here if you really like Sushi. It's just all very low quality. Tasteless, bland, tough meat, too salty, too far and just not worth the money. It may be all you can eat, but it doesn't invite to be worth your money. After two rounds we were done eating.

Food is okay... staff is very arrogant.. they drop a plate of fries.. leave everything on the table without cleaning up.. I have already experienced 3 times that a group of students come.. they make a lot of noise and no one says anything.. So if you want to eat quietly with your family or partner... go to Shufu Lewenborg

I think this is a great sushi place for the price you pay. Also much cheaper than others when ordering.

Sushimall was always known as OK in our circle. This means: not bad, but alternative options in the city are better on average. Yet SushiMall always remained an attractive option for one specific reason, namely that it is (in my opinion) the only sushi place in town with a drink-inclusive option. For that reason we have been there many times in the past and have always left satisfied. Once again we were tempted to go to Sushimall. Unfortunately, our experience this time was very negative. Firstly, the option for drinks included is slightly different than before. Sushimall has now included the drink in the food options, which means that you give up one food option for the drink per round and per drink. So you actually just pay 10 euros extra per person for less food. You can no longer order a drink between rounds, which is possible at almost every identical restaurant. Very unfortunate, but not the end of the world. Unfortunately it doesn't stop there. The drink you then order does not arrive until almost an hour later. You can hardly recover the amount you pay extra to get drinks included, because the drinks you order are simply not delivered. Out of frustration you order a new drink because you are thirsty. Then just before you plan to leave, both drinks are delivered at the same time, while you no longer count on them. In addition, the food. The grilled meat and fish was barely seasoned, it tasted very bland. Sushi was okay in taste, but completely fell apart. It wasn't put together properly. In addition, the food took a very long time and we received an absurd number of dishes that we had not ordered. Our neighbors had the same problem, at one point there were three tables of us exchanging food with each other, because we only received dishes that we had not ordered. 'Do you like this? Then take this, it's not ours.' In the end we just left without being really full and that for 45 euros per person. In retrospect it was a waste of our money. The McDonalds across the street tasted great afterwards, we should have gone there straight away in the first place.

After waiting 20 minutes, we were finally shown to our table by an employee (we had made a reservation for 6:30 PM). We couldn't order until 7:00 PM. However, after ordering, we still did not receive the first part of our order after half an hour. In the end we were only allowed to take our first bite after 20 minutes! Very bad service!

Good food, we would love to come again!!

The pokebowl was very disappointing and the sauce completely ruined it. At first I thought it might be just me, but when I got the fried shrimp I knew the food wasn't good. The shrimp were soft and didn't look good. The package was full of breadcrumbs, but the shrimp were now fairly bare. I was really looking forward to a poke bowl but unfortunately I had to leave it.

The quality of the sushi is reasonable to good. I have a strong feeling that everything is already prepared and in the refrigerator. You press send and your sushi is on the table within a minute.

Delicious sushi food, we regularly get take-out from here and it is always of the highest quality. Chopsticks, wasabi and dipping sauce are included as standard. Very friendly staff, I was a little earlier once and my takeaway order was prepared faster, great! The restaurant is spaciously furnished and ordering is done via a tablet.

Vreselijk, niet wat het ooit was! En zo gruwlijk duur geworden! 45 euro per persoon! Dat is bar en boos! Daar heb je met z'n twee elders ook chateau briand voor. Echt het geld niet waard. Entourage ook hard achteruit, stoelen opgestapeld in restaurant , zag er niet gezellig uit. We gaan nooit weer

Very nice and atmospheric sushi restaurant. The dark tables and chairs complement the decorations beautifully. The food is always of good quality. In my experience, I think this is the best sushi in the province of Groningen. There is plenty of choice, including vegetarian options and even for people who don't like sushi. You order with an iPad and there is an ongoing buffet with a wide choice of desserts. The service is neat and helpful. Sometimes it takes a little longer for the order to arrive.

An interesting restaurant. You pay and eat all you can. You only need to choose a category. The service is good. Budget how to eat sushi. But. Here you can choose many more dishes. Good location. Near IKEA. Huge spacious restaurant. Next time we will also be here and try a different category. 30 euros per person.

The food is not really special, a lot of rice on sushi, which makes you noticeably full quickly, which is a shame.

Just before Christmas you would expect more atmosphere in the restaurant, but unfortunately not this year. The food was delicious as always. The sushi menu seems to have become smaller, but everything is of fantastic quality. We will come again soon.

Bad experience, all inclusive is not worth it

The worst sushi restaurant I have ever eaten at. Nice staff and a wide range of desserts. But the way sushi is made there, I can make it much better at home. In addition, many products are missing from the menu that many sushi restaurants do offer.

Once and never again. In short: sushi dry and tasteless. Sushi also doesn't taste very fresh (pre-made, it seems). Hot dishes, some cold and others tasteless. Do not drink cold and without a spark. Relatively pricey. Toilets not very clean. Well....

Don't judge a book by its cover. Definitely goes for this place! Might be the best Western sushi I ever had.

Dit is niet best hoor, we zagen sushi mall toen we naar IKEA reden. En dachten Lets give it a try. Helaas de reviews pas achteraf gelezen. Wat een vreselijke tent, personeel stelt weinig voor, kunnen nog beter robots staan.

Been here for the first time in two years and have been wanting to go here for a while. Back then there was a lot of choice in terms of sushi and other dishes, unfortunately now two years later there is almost no choice. I didn't think the price was worth 40 euros per person. Decided not to go here again!

The sushi is excellent. The other dishes are also not too greasy. Everything is very salty. The staff does little more than take away plates and bring drinks. They get stuck even with a question. The sushi mall of course remains a food barn and that is how it feels in a large space with tables and chairs with a play corner in the back right with few playable toys, most of them are broken. Dessert buffet is pretty standard. I believe that every all you can eat has the same supplier in that area. I think it is overpriced. It cost 90 euros for 2 adults all-in (and the all-in price for children under 3.6 euros).

Good food Wasabi could be spicier. The atmosphere was a bit less nice. Chinese people can hardly understand Dutch, but it is difficult to understand them

The food was very tasty and we didn't have to wait that long after ordering a round. The sushi was of good quality and taste, this also applies to the meat and fish. Drinks are ordered at the same time as the food. If you only order drinks, you will have to wait 10 minutes before you can order food. That was not a problem, but please pay attention to this. The staff was friendly and drinks were delivered quickly. Desserts were included, we had to pick them up ourselves from a dessert buffet. All in all a good experience and definitely recommended if you want good sushi!!

Yesterday on Ascension Day (public holiday, so higher rates) I had dinner with my 10-year-old daughter. The bill was 82.50 which is equal to 2 adults. I feel a bit cheated. Inappropriate!

This place is buffet sushi for dinner. It's quite good place compared to other place in the city. I would say it's on the upper end. The only problem is the order policy could limit how much you can eat at a time. If you like to eat a lot at once, it's not for you. The freshness is considerably well and sushi taste good

I normally love sushi, but this could not be called sushi... Dry rice, old sushi, cold chicken, everything bland in taste.

We have been regularly getting food from the sushi mall for years and I am never bored. I love the miso soup and the sashimi. I've had better poke bowls before, but the sushi is unsurpassed! I find it less attractive to eat on site, but that is personal. The people who work here are very warm and nice.

Ik kreeg een verkeerde bestelling, toen ik naar de zaak belde was het niet hun fout maar die van thuisbezorgd. Ik moest contact opnemen met thuisbezorgd en die konden niks betekenen voor mij omdat sushi mall de verkeerde bestelling had gegeven aan de bezorger

Price-quality is reasonable for what you get and you don't have to get up yourself, so you can order everything via the iPad. Orders usually go well, except when it is super busy, it is best to come another day. The food is good and is generally delivered quite quickly.

Food was very good :) Waitress was rude and didn't try to explain to us how the restaurant worked. You cannot get a menu without paying for a drink. The water you pay 2 euros for is clearly tap water

Erg teleurgesteld, we hadden heel veel zin om gezellig een hapje te eten bij sushi mall, maar helaas was dit alles behalve geweldig. Er hangt een rare sfeer tussen collega’s waardoor het eten telkens verkeerd werd geserveerd, helaas ook vaak koud. En op een duur waren verschillende soorten sushi’s niet meer te bereiden. Heel raar concept.

Dit restaurant kan je beter overslaan als je lekkere sushi wil eten. Is echt meer voor studenten om zoveel mogelijk all you can drink eruit te halen. Eten komt hier ook gezien de kwaliteit op de 2e plaats.

Excellent food, not very special but certainly not bad either. A bit massive. 10/10 that they have macarons at the dessert buffet.

I have never experienced this before, sushi was not tasty, very soggy, the meat dishes were dry and tough, we sat for half an hour and then paid in pain, unfortunately they did not ask if we had tasted it, that is why this response (we always go to shufu, but we wanted to regret something else for once)

Great fun for once. Most of the food is very tasty (not all, don't choose the salad) and a lot of choice with the tablet. Food was also delivered super quickly, but otherwise the service was not very personal, which is a shame. It is also not very atmospheric inside, you know you are at a large sushi chain. Make sure you leave enough room for the desserts (I did this wrong), they are very tasty.

Picked up delicious sushi, yakaitori skewers and spring rolls are recommended. Delicious, customer-friendly and ordering with tablet also when picking up. Top!

Nice concept with ordering the tablet. There is plenty to eat, it's just a pity that it doesn't really have a cozy atmosphere inside, but that's what you expect with the name.

What a strange experience here. The pictures are literally different from what they serve. There are also many empty seats, but they choose to let us sit next to each other. The wait staff don't look like they have been trained in how to do their job.

The 3 stars for the food is because it wasn't all bad. The 'incl' drinks concept is no longer worth anything because you cannot order drinks separately. Then you just have to wait another 10 minutes before you can eat/drink. Quality is no longer what it used to be and neither is service. Had a blond hair in the boy's food in the kitchen. No apology or compensation.

It was a nice evening. We had some doubts due to a number of bad recent reviews, but we did not experience this. The food and drinks arrived very quickly after ordering, it was tasty, wide choice of desserts and the fact that it was running late was not even a problem. Thank you!

super lekkere sushi, komen er graag, service is haast beter dan het eten, super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. keikeurig, zaak is schoon en netjes, wc is keurig en vooral het eten... oh jongens... neem ajb de shortribs eens voor de gein, ze stellen niet teleur🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 we mochten ook een nieuwe menuoptie proeven, dit was erg leuk en had een mooie compositie. erg creatieve chef!

Nice place with good food. I did notice the quality of the food prepared and pieces of fish on the sushi has declined over time. The raw fish almost always looks dried out like it's been sitting there a while. The staff's always very nice.

Heerlijk gegeten met mijn familie!

De sfeer is na al die tijd wel goed gebleven. Kwaliteit van het eten wel beduidend minder.

Prima vreet schuur. Sfeer en kwaliteit van het eten is wel ongeveer wat je kunt verwachten van zo’n restaurant.

Het eten was niet erg goed, de sausjes die bij de gerechten geserveerd werden waren stuk voor stuk erg vies, de sushi was in orde maar alles wat gefrituurd werd was zacht en vochtig ipv knapperig. De deserts waren ook allemaal ondermaats, de cheesecake bv smaakte alsof het met smeerkaas gemaakt ipv roomkaas. De mensen waren wel erg vriendelijk maar dat maakte het eten niet beter.

Eten niet meer dan gemiddeld/redelijk. Grote domper was ontbreken menukaart. Met 6 man incl 2 70 plussers is het bijna niet te doen om alles op 1 tablet op te zoeken en te bestellen.

Lekker restaurant, maar de banaan-oreo sushi viel een beetje vreemd in de smaak. Wel een topsfeer, zeker een aanrader. Ik kan niet meer lopen, zo vol zit ik.

Oei, laat in de middag nog besloten om hier te gaan eten. De afspraak maken om 7 uur te gaan eten was snel gemaakt en dat voor zaterdagavond. Door omstandigheden een half uur te vroeg, totaal geen probleem. Het was heel rustig, en dat in de vakantie. Daardoor hoefde we niet lang op het eten te wachten, dat is dan wel prettig. Verder hier prima en lekker gegeten. Het bedienend personeel was redelijk afgemeten vriendelijk, niet echt spontaan. We hebben hier eerder wel gegeten en toen was de sfeer wat prettiger. Ach, volgende keer beter zullen we maar zeggen.

Gerechten die niet kwamen.. oh volgende keer beter was het antwoord! De bediening had duidelijk geen zin. Onvriendelijk. Het eten was in het begin van de avond netjes en constant van kwaliteit.maar naarmate het drukker werd ging de kwaliteit snel achteruit. Wij gaan voortaan elders sushi eten.

We moesten erg lang wachten op de drankjes. We kregen regelmatig de verkeerde bestelling op de tafel gezet. Sushi was niet lekker, erg droog. We hoorden ook regelmatig glazen sneuvelen. Toetjes buffet was karig. Bijna alles was op.

Personeel is prima, eten is prima, drinken is prima. Maar het aanbod is goed gevarieerd. All you can eat is zeker aan te raden.

Good food. Nice service. Not the most top quality but definitely good quality. the sushi was often inconsistently filled. Would not be against going back, but want to try some other locations first.

Er zijn gerechten verdwenen van de kaart, Jammer... Sushi was overigens heerlijk. Maar de grill dingen waren daarentegen weer niet echt bijzonder.

Ik ben hier een keertje wezen eten met huisgenoten en ik zou het restaurant zeker niet aanraden aan gezinnen. Er komen ontzettend veel studenten en er is veel lawaai/onrust. Er wordt veel alcohol geconsumeerd en dat is ook te merken aan het geluidsniveau. Rustig uiteten is er hier niet bij. Wel hebben wij een hele gezellige avond gehad en het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk, misschien zelfs een beetje te voor bepaalde klanten. Het eten zelf was okay en werd snel gebracht nadat je het zelf had besteld op de tablet. Ik zou hier niet perse weer heen gaan tenzij ik weer met een grote groep uiteten ga en een ''vreetschuur'' experience wil.

Legendarisch. Favoriete restaurant om met een klein clubje uitstekend te eten. Vooral de desserttafel vind ik een goede (ik ben een grote spekkoek fan). Verder is het aangenaam dat je vooraf weet hoeveel je kwijt gaat zijn wanneer je inclusief drinken aantikt. Goeie sushi, goeie grill, uitstekende service en altijd leuk zitten!

Heerlijk gegeten, echt een aanrader. Ik ben geen vis liefhebber en sushi van een wereldrestaurant vind ik echt heel vies. Maar de sushi hier is heerlijk. De sfeer is heel fijn en er is tijd genoeg om lekker te eten.

Toch maar weer een keer geprobeert,laatste x die ook tegen viel was alweer tijd geleden. Helaas,nu echt laatste x. Sushi droog,niet op smaak en slecht gerolt. Ook weinig keuze. Voor 41 p.p mag je beter verwachten. En o ja,dat achtergrond muziekje werkte erg op onze zenuwen(japanse tjingel muziek). Gillend naar huis

Helaas minder keuze in vergelijking met een jaar geleden. De bediening was onpersoonlijk/onvriendelijk. Gebruikte bordjes werden niet opgehaald. Al met al te duur voor het aanbod. Jammer...

Vriendelijk personeel, snelle service en prijs kwaliteit is oké!
