This place is a Groningen treasure. The staff treat you like family, and you can tell they put real care into every dish. The sushi is always fresh and beautifully made, definitely a spot I’ll keep recommending to everyone.☺️

These are scammers. The food simply didn't arrive after promising three times that it would be in the car for delivery. After waiting 3.5 hours, we went elsewhere to eat. Don't order from here!!!

Do not order your food at this restaurant!! Our order arrived 4(!!) hours after we placed it. We called 4 times, and every time they told us a different story. All they offered was a free delivery. Read the reviews carefully and don't make the same mistake as we did. Again; do not order your food this restaurant.

What a depressing experience. I placed an order here, just one sushi box, one poké bowl, and one bubble tea, and then had to wait over THREE HOURS for it to finally arrive. That's not just a minor mistake or a slight delay; it's just plain disrespectful to your customers. The most frustrating thing was the complete lack of communication. No notification of a delay, nothing at all. I had to chase up my order myself several times, and each time, I received vague answers that were useless. You just feel completely ignored as a customer. As if your time and evening are of no importance at all. Waiting three hours for food might sound like a minor detail, but for me, it ruined my entire evening. I was literally waiting hungry, plans fell through, and the whole point of "ordering conveniently" was completely lost. By the time the food finally arrived, I was no longer hungry, and frankly, the bland food only tasted worse because of it. How hopeless. I could have easily watched an entire Lord of the Rings movie during this time and still had to wait. And as if that wasn't enough: barely a single apology, no compensation, no accountability whatsoever. Even a simple "sorry" or an extra drink would have made up for it. But no, the feeling you get is: "Just sort it out." And that's perhaps the worst of it all. I regularly order from other restaurants and fully understand that things can go wrong, but this was by far the worst experience ever. A three-hour wait, zero communication, zero customer service, and ultimately a disappointing meal. For me, this restaurant is completely worthless. If you respect your time, your mood, and your evening, absolutely do not order from here. There are plenty of other places that do take their customers seriously and understand that service is just as important as the food itself.

Food never arrived, after calling when the food was not delivered for an hour she told me it was the next in line, then it still never arrived and when I called again 40min later they never picked up again. Simply embarrassing and lying like that on the phone brings this place closer to a scam than to a sushi place. very sad because the sushi was very decent last time, it will be very expensive for them if we cannot even get a refund.

This was, without a doubt, the worst experience ever. I placed an order at 6:50 PM: 1 sushi box, 1 poké bowl, and 1 boba tea. Nothing special, just a simple order. The expected delivery time was 8:10 PM, but I waited over 3 hours! My food finally arrived at 10:00 PM, even though the restaurant itself closes at 9:30 PM. How is this even possible?! I waited for 3 hours, hungry and frustrated. Three hours! I called four times: three times they didn't even answer, and when they finally responded, I got a lukewarm "we're waiting for a delivery person." How can you wait 3 hours for a delivery person? And the worst part: no apology, no compensation, nothing. Just complete indifference and disrespect to the customer. This is ridiculously bad. For me: NEVER AGAIN. Want disappointment, frustration, and hunger? Feel free to order here.

Waited over three hours for my order. Received nothing. I called this restaurant many times, and each time I received a different excuse. Finally, after four hours, the order arrived, but by then everyone had already left.

I had to wait over two hours for my food. After an hour and a half, I called to ask where it was. An English-speaking woman answered the phone. She kept trying to cancel my order. She got very angry. She wasn't understanding, and it turned out my order still had to be made. After about two hours and fifteen minutes, I received my food. The food was very sloppily placed in the box, as if it had just been dumped in. This is also the first and last time I've ordered from this branch in Groningen on Nieuwe Ebbingestraat.

I waited 2 hours for my order! It was Monday midday! As compensation for the wait, they put one can of refreshing drink, even though the order was for 3 people. The gyoza was already cold and the quality of the sushi is very low! I will never order there again!

Hello everyone, I just picked up and ate my 2nd order at uchi sushi. I ordered after 9 o'clock and I could pick it up at 21:30. I was helped quickly by a friendly young man. Despite the many bad reviews, I just ordered something again, because it was perfect the last time too! After opening the bag, I found many tasty sauces and enough soy sauce! The sushi also looked good. No brown bits, just fresh products. The sushi was not expensive and tasted very good! Top shop!

Hoogezand location: Thuisbezorgd said 15 minutes for pick-up. After ordering, it suddenly became an hour. Something went wrong with the 1+1 urimaki box. After calling, a discussion about how that went wrong but no solution was given. So unfortunately no 1+1. The avocado in all sushi is rock hard and brown. Overall not very satisfied.

Food took two hours and at some point they ghosted me because I was checking up on the order.

Delivered quickly, blonde girl is super nice. What I find strange is that the umaki ebi said 1+1 free and apparently that wasn't even the case. (I ordered via home delivery) the avocado in all the sushi I ordered is also hard. Just not ripe yet, isn't that the way it should be?

We've had Uchi deliver at least six times since we moved to Zuidhorn, and we're always satisfied! We love the sushi and the well-stocked poké bowls! Delivery takes a bit longer on weekends (an average of an hour), but we're aware of that and plan accordingly. (Photo taken in the summer.)

14.50 poke bowl it was ok and quite little if you go 1km further you have for 1-2 euros cheaper and more and tastier

I ordered a poké bowl here for the first time and accidentally entered the wrong pickup date. After a single phone call, it was fixed immediately. The meal was then perfectly prepared, and the employee even offered me a free drink! Great place, with excellent food! :)

Used to be quite nice food, ordered here alot. Now they just put less and less ingredients in. Service is nice but i wont be ordereing here again. Just not getting a bang for my buck

How do you manage to take so long to make a few sushi rolls, you incompetent mess. I understand a small delay, but if I have to wait 3 hours for an order and then get a moron on the phone who can't explain anything, then I'm pretty much done with it.

We had to wait more than 2 hours for our order, had to call once (unintelligible man on the phone) to say that it was very busy and the order was on its way (or that's what we assumed), then waited another half hour.

After calling 7 times, getting it wrong twice and hearing a screaming weirdo, I finally had everything, not even everything, one more thing was missing from my order. Ordered for a filling stomach but got a headache instead. Keep it up!

Lousy service and pure scam! If I could give zero stars I would. We ordered a Sashimi Deluxe and two boba teas for 1:00 PM in September, but only received our order 1.5 hours later – and completely wrong. The Sashimi Deluxe only consisted of some salmon and surimi (which shouldn't even be there), and the boba teas were both brown sugar and way too sweet, while we had ordered other flavors. In short: nothing was right. We immediately called to complain. The employee admitted that he didn't have the ingredients so he just threw something together. No mention of this when ordering, no alternative suggested—just randomly put something in the box. Not even a word was said about the boba. The employee barely spoke English and came across as very unprofessional. We demanded a refund as the entire order was wrong. He was almost begging for the manager to get mad at him, but that's not our problem. He promised a refund within a week, but heard nothing after a week. We called again twice: more empty promises. We ended up visiting in person. When we showed the receipt, the kitchen staff just laughed—apparently it's funny to rip off customers? The cashier put us in touch with the manager via phone, who promised to call us back the next day. But after that conversation I never heard anything back. We had to chase our money for three months, but in the end we were just cheated. This is absolutely outrageous and disgusting. If you value your time, money and patience, stay far away from this place. This business doesn't deserve any customers.

The place was empty and pretty dirty. There was a sign with a promotion, but it wasn't updated on their software so I had to order something else. The fried chicken with BBQ sauce was very good and the tuna poke too. I wouldn't recommend eating there, just ordering it to go.

Just ordered pokebowl chicken here. I opened the box and already smells something strange? When I looked there was rotted cucumber and corn in it. It just smells great. Does it seem crazy to me that she didn't see this when making this dish?

Delivery took more than an hour longer than planned (delivered at 8:00 PM and indicated at 6:55 PM). Some uramakis only contain a piece of cucumber, or are cut 1 cm wide. Never again.

The rice was really nasty, like it was a pack of brown rice. There were also hard pieces of rice throughout. Took a long time to arrive and very unfriendly on the phone.

In the meantime, we were called twice by an employee who spoke limited Dutch and English that the chopsticks had run out. Both times we clearly indicated that this was no problem and that the order could be sent without chopsticks. She promised that the delivery person would come. In the end it took another hour and she called again with the same question. When the order came there were suddenly chopsticks in it. So she did not respond to our request twice to send the order, so why do you even ask and make us wait 1.5 hours?! All very bad!!!

Ordered food here at 5:00 PM, I received a call at 6:00 PM that the food was a little later than stated. It would be ready in 10 minutes and then the delivery person would be on the road. My food was finally delivered at 7:45 PM. Abnormal and incomprehension, the manager would contact him, but he did not do so. In addition, the sushi is soft, not worth what it is sold for. Used to order here before discovering Okami Sushi in the city, always was happy with service and food. Today we were walking home from the city and wanted to stop at Uchi Sushi for bubbletea on the go, we arrived at 9:30 PM while the establishment states it works until 10 PM. When entering the restaurant we got looked at strangely and the employee mumbled: "I am done." in Dutch, which equals "We are closed." Yet there was still half an hour on the clock left? They thus refused to serve us and send us away. Judging only by the in-store service we experienced today, I would recommend to order elsewhere. I didn't feel very good after the encounter. It wasn't very friendly or professional.

I had it delivered via home delivery and my food arrived more than an hour late. I called the restaurant and the lady who answered promised to call me back to explain why it took so long, but this never happened. In addition, the order was also made incorrectly and the avocado was already covered in brown spots. I will certainly not order from here again, neither the delivery person nor the restaurant have apologized.

We ordered the pokebowl. Very nice that you can put it together yourself and there is a lot of choice. The gyzo and cup sticks were also delicious.

Don't order for delivery from them, they won't deliver for hours. We waited 3 hours for our food to be delivered. We called them at least 6 times. The first two time, the guy told us they will deliver to our address soon, think for a little bit and said again they would not deliver. In the third call, after 2 hours and complaining to Uber Eats about it, it turns out they did not receive our order but the restaurant already told us twice they will deliver our food. Even after that and mentioning again that they will deliver, they call us 3 times to confirm order and address. This was already the second time this happened. Definitely, we won't order again.

Service was very friendly but the Sushi was very bad. I had a Student Box, tried all 6 types of Sushi included and ALL of them didnt taste like anything at all. How can you sell this for 20€?

Very disappointed in this restaurant, second time ordering as we wanted to give it a second chance. The poke bowl was hard and dry, ordered extra sauce but looked like almost no sauce at all was added also the vegetables were cut very carelessly. The egg omlete was also hard and not enjoyable. Shame this Cost me €30 will not order again.

Waited 2,5 hours for a online order, no chopsticks or wasabi in the bag. Staff who called me told me I would get a discount code because of the wait time but didnt receive anything either. Soya beans were in the box for so long they almost merged with the plastic. Probably a busy evening but I wont order again.

Mediocre poke bowl dry, little sauce and a lot of corn. Vegetables cut very carelessly. Not much Japanese about this place. Service was very friendly!

We regularly order sushi and poke bowls here. It has become our favorite sushi restaurant in town. It is always nice and fresh, and the quantity is also good. The vegetarian sushi is also recommended for the vegetarians among us.

Delicious sushi, fresh salmon is filleted here every day!! You don't see that at many sushi places. Great sushi, and very nice and pleasant people :) I will go here more often!

Lange tijd op zoek geweest naar de beste sushi van Groningen en die eindelijk hier gevonden! Heerlijk sushi voor een prima prijs, zeker als je via de eigen website besteld. Dan krijg je namelijk een rol gratis.

Heerlijke pokebowl. De verhouding rijst - overige ingrediënten was prima. Meer specifiek, meer overige ingrediënten dan rijst terwijl dit meestal andersom is. Kwaliteit van de gebruikte producten is ook uitstekend. Bestelling was iets te laat maar Uchi Sushi belde keurig met excuses om aan te geven dat het iets was vertraagd. Al met al een uitstekende ervaring.

Net sushi besteld, snel bezorgd, vriendelijke man en heerlijke verse sushi! Zeker een aanrader!!!

I have tried many sushi places in Groningen this is so far the best. Suits my taste, good consistent quality.

Pokebowl besteld. Deze was erg lekker. De bezorger had echter een ongeluk gehad met zijn scooter. De bestelling kwam dus iets later aan, maar in ruil daarvoor kreeg ik een gratis blikje cola erbij. Kan gebeuren natuurlijk. De pokebowl zelf was in in ieder geval heerlijk! Dus ik bestel hier zeker nog eens weer.

Sushi smaakt niet super. Ik betwijfel of het vers is. Bewerkt: Een medewerker heeft contact met mij opgenomen en een kortingscode aangeboden. De service is in ieder geval wel erg vriendelijk en er zat ook een lief berichtje bij de bestelling!

Gisteren bij dit restaurant voor de eerste keer sushi gehaald vanwege de goeie reviews. De sushi werd vers bereid en was ontzettend lekker! In vergelijking met andere afhaal sushi restaurants in Groningen is dit een hele verbetering. Aardige mensen en hele goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Ik hoop dat ze deze hoge kwaliteit behouden, ik ga hier de volgende keer zeker weer bestellen!
