What a depressing experience. I placed an order here, just one sushi box, one poké bowl, and one bubble tea, and then had to wait over THREE HOURS for it to finally arrive. That's not just a minor mistake or a slight delay; it's just plain disrespectful to your customers. The most frustrating thing was the complete lack of communication. No notification of a delay, nothing at all. I had to chase up my order myself several times, and each time, I received vague answers that were useless. You just feel completely ignored as a customer. As if your time and evening are of no importance at all. Waiting three hours for food might sound like a minor detail, but for me, it ruined my entire evening. I was literally waiting hungry, plans fell through, and the whole point of "ordering conveniently" was completely lost. By the time the food finally arrived, I was no longer hungry, and frankly, the bland food only tasted worse because of it. How hopeless. I could have easily watched an entire Lord of the Rings movie during this time and still had to wait. And as if that wasn't enough: barely a single apology, no compensation, no accountability whatsoever. Even a simple "sorry" or an extra drink would have made up for it. But no, the feeling you get is: "Just sort it out." And that's perhaps the worst of it all. I regularly order from other restaurants and fully understand that things can go wrong, but this was by far the worst experience ever. A three-hour wait, zero communication, zero customer service, and ultimately a disappointing meal. For me, this restaurant is completely worthless. If you respect your time, your mood, and your evening, absolutely do not order from here. There are plenty of other places that do take their customers seriously and understand that service is just as important as the food itself.

Food never arrived, after calling when the food was not delivered for an hour she told me it was the next in line, then it still never arrived and when I called again 40min later they never picked up again. Simply embarrassing and lying like that on the phone brings this place closer to a scam than to a sushi place. very sad because the sushi was very decent last time, it will be very expensive for them if we cannot even get a refund.

This was, without a doubt, the worst experience ever. I placed an order at 6:50 PM: 1 sushi box, 1 poké bowl, and 1 boba tea. Nothing special, just a simple order. The expected delivery time was 8:10 PM, but I waited over 3 hours! My food finally arrived at 10:00 PM, even though the restaurant itself closes at 9:30 PM. How is this even possible?! I waited for 3 hours, hungry and frustrated. Three hours! I called four times: three times they didn't even answer, and when they finally responded, I got a lukewarm "we're waiting for a delivery person." How can you wait 3 hours for a delivery person? And the worst part: no apology, no compensation, nothing. Just complete indifference and disrespect to the customer. This is ridiculously bad. For me: NEVER AGAIN. Want disappointment, frustration, and hunger? Feel free to order here.

I had to wait over two hours for my food. After an hour and a half, I called to ask where it was. An English-speaking woman answered the phone. She kept trying to cancel my order. She got very angry. She wasn't understanding, and it turned out my order still had to be made. After about two hours and fifteen minutes, I received my food. The food was very sloppily placed in the box, as if it had just been dumped in. This is also the first and last time I've ordered from this branch in Groningen on Nieuwe Ebbingestraat.

Hello everyone, I just picked up and ate my 2nd order at uchi sushi. I ordered after 9 o'clock and I could pick it up at 21:30. I was helped quickly by a friendly young man. Despite the many bad reviews, I just ordered something again, because it was perfect the last time too! After opening the bag, I found many tasty sauces and enough soy sauce! The sushi also looked good. No brown bits, just fresh products. The sushi was not expensive and tasted very good! Top shop!

Hoogezand location: Thuisbezorgd said 15 minutes for pick-up. After ordering, it suddenly became an hour. Something went wrong with the 1+1 urimaki box. After calling, a discussion about how that went wrong but no solution was given. So unfortunately no 1+1. The avocado in all sushi is rock hard and brown. Overall not very satisfied.

Lousy service and pure scam! If I could give zero stars I would. We ordered a Sashimi Deluxe and two boba teas for 1:00 PM in September, but only received our order 1.5 hours later – and completely wrong. The Sashimi Deluxe only consisted of some salmon and surimi (which shouldn't even be there), and the boba teas were both brown sugar and way too sweet, while we had ordered other flavors. In short: nothing was right. We immediately called to complain. The employee admitted that he didn't have the ingredients so he just threw something together. No mention of this when ordering, no alternative suggested—just randomly put something in the box. Not even a word was said about the boba. The employee barely spoke English and came across as very unprofessional. We demanded a refund as the entire order was wrong. He was almost begging for the manager to get mad at him, but that's not our problem. He promised a refund within a week, but heard nothing after a week. We called again twice: more empty promises. We ended up visiting in person. When we showed the receipt, the kitchen staff just laughed—apparently it's funny to rip off customers? The cashier put us in touch with the manager via phone, who promised to call us back the next day. But after that conversation I never heard anything back. We had to chase our money for three months, but in the end we were just cheated. This is absolutely outrageous and disgusting. If you value your time, money and patience, stay far away from this place. This business doesn't deserve any customers.

The one star is for the sushi, because it was tasty and the 1+1 discount deal is of course great! But organizationally something is going wrong here. We already ordered around half past two in the afternoon and communicated the delivery time (4:30 PM), the food did not arrive until 6:00 PM!!!! In the meantime, we were called twice by an employee who spoke limited Dutch and English that the chopsticks had run out. Both times we clearly indicated that this was no problem and that the order could be sent without chopsticks. She promised that the delivery person would come. In the end it took another hour and she called again with the same question. When the order came there were suddenly chopsticks in it. So she did not respond to our request twice to send the order, so why do you even ask and make us wait 1.5 hours?! All very bad!!!

Used to order here before discovering Okami Sushi in the city, always was happy with service and food. Today we were walking home from the city and wanted to stop at Uchi Sushi for bubbletea on the go, we arrived at 9:30 PM while the establishment states it works until 10 PM. When entering the restaurant we got looked at strangely and the employee mumbled: "I am done." in Dutch, which equals "We are closed." Yet there was still half an hour on the clock left? They thus refused to serve us and send us away. Judging only by the in-store service we experienced today, I would recommend to order elsewhere. I didn't feel very good after the encounter. Don't order for delivery from them, they won't deliver for hours. We waited 3 hours for our food to be delivered. We called them at least 6 times. The first two time, the guy told us they will deliver to our address soon, think for a little bit and said again they would not deliver. In the third call, after 2 hours and complaining to Uber Eats about it, it turns out they did not receive our order but the restaurant already told us twice they will deliver our food. Heerlijke pokebowl. De verhouding rijst - overige ingrediënten was prima. Meer specifiek, meer overige ingrediënten dan rijst terwijl dit meestal andersom is. Kwaliteit van de gebruikte producten is ook uitstekend. Bestelling was iets te laat maar Uchi Sushi belde keurig met excuses om aan te geven dat het iets was vertraagd. Pokebowl besteld. Deze was erg lekker. De bezorger had echter een ongeluk gehad met zijn scooter. De bestelling kwam dus iets later aan, maar in ruil daarvoor kreeg ik een gratis blikje cola erbij. Porties zijn ruim voldoende , vriendelijke eigenaar met veel horeca ervaring. Eten is goed gebalanceerd en verrassend lekker. Een aanrader !

Gisteren bij dit restaurant voor de eerste keer sushi gehaald vanwege de goeie reviews. De sushi werd vers bereid en was ontzettend lekker! In vergelijking met andere afhaal sushi restaurants in Groningen is dit een hele verbetering. Aardige mensen en hele goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Ik hoop dat ze deze hoge kwaliteit behouden, ik ga hier de volgende keer zeker weer bestellen!

Delicious sushi at Mr. Sushi Groningen! Ordered yesterday and what a delight! The sushi was super fresh and incredibly flavorful. Every bite was pure delight, with beautiful combinations and fresh ingredients. Delivery was fast and everything arrived perfectly presented. Highly recommended for anyone who loves good sushi. We will definitely order from them again!

I've eaten here twice with a friend; it was delicious and no problems. I ordered food from them today... What a disaster! There's hair in my child's fries, there's eggshell in the chicken batter, and I clearly stated there was no sauce with the beef, but they didn't even read it. Really bad... 40 euros wasted. I'm going to file a complaint with home care.

Tasty but really expensive for rice with some filling. You can easily pay 14 euros for 8 pieces of sushi
