A decent Japanese sushi and grill restaurant at the Vismarkt in Groningen. You can choose the "All You Can Eat" concept, but also à la carte. You consult the menu and order via a QR code on your phone. I must say they have a fairly wide selection of sushi and grilled dishes. What disappointed me was the very cramped (and closely spaced) seating (not very comfortable if you can hear your neighbors' conversations). Also, the dishes aren't served simultaneously (sometimes there's a very long gap between them, or they're not served at all). I also regularly received dishes that weren't mine or were cold. Furthermore, I found the whole place a bit grimy (the highlight being the dust-covered ventilation in the restrooms).

I ate at Yasumi Groningen with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The sushi was fresh, beautifully presented, and truly flavorful. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and relaxed. Everything was served quickly, and the quality was consistently high. Highly recommended for a fun night out; we'll definitely be back!

I don’t think I will be there again. One of the service members who is young and bold is rude and emotionless. But the lady is very nice. The food was fine but some are too salty and oil. At the end it is impossible to eat at all. I suffer from thirsty for a whole night.

The food and flavour of the food is not great. Speed of service partially makes up for it but not enough to really recommend going here. Probably if you can spend two hours for the all you can eat menu it can be worth it if you keep eating. But don't do it for the culinary experience.

If you like sauces and a lot of variety at a reasonable price, this is the place to be. If you like your alcoholic drink with your food, you can also get the "ALL YOU CAN DRINK" for 15 euros and go all out, hahaha. They have vegetarian and meat options, but I think this is really the place for you if you want to eat unlimited sushi. Their service is fast.

I had dinner tonight with my daughter (5) and my sister. The food was delicious, and the staff was super friendly. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, and the presentation was also very beautiful. We sat at a super cute lighted stone table. A unique experience. We had the all-you-can-eat option for dinner. The ordering system via your phone is very efficient and quite fun. The staff are friendly. Great food. The problem we had was that we did not know what most of the arrived food was. They look very similar and we had to guess. It was busy so the staff did not have time, understandably. I suggest maybe a labeling system? Overall, very good experience. We will be back.

Really great location at the vismarkt! Inside its quite big, and there is a beautiful cocktailbar. A bonus was that you could see the chefs as well. We came for all-in lunch and some cocktails. Food was good and came quick. Matcha martini was a new one and I can really recommend it.

First, the edamame beans we ordered weren't delivered. We reported this, and an hour later, we finally received them. The fried shrimp were cold, and we ordered two desserts, only one of which arrived. After 15 minutes, we finally left because there was no service. We reported all this at the cash register, and there was no apology or compensation, such as a free drink or anything like that. Poor service.

They offer unlimited beer. This beer is rather limited, given that the owner checks when "everyone" has finished their glass. When this is brought up in conversation, there's no room for a listening ear. I already disliked the sushi, but now I'm sure.

Each order took forever, and when it finally arrived, there was no cold tap glass or bottle. No, they brought a pitcher from which they poured our glasses themselves. As if that wasn't enough, we mostly got foam. Lots of foam. Maybe that was the unlimited part. The sushi was good, thankfully—fresh and tasty—but the beer concept felt more like a thirsty illusion than a real deal. Next time, I'll bring my own crate; it'll probably be faster.

After three pleas, a sacrifice to the beer god, and repeatedly raising your glass to the heavens, a waiter suddenly appears—hallelujah!—with a pitcher in his hand as if he's bringing Excalibur. But wait, you don't get a bottle. No cold tap. No, not at all. This master pourer will personally fill your glass. What you get isn't beer, but a foam tower that would make the Eiffel Tower jealous. Every pour felt like a live cabaret performance: "Watch, ladies and gentlemen, how I fill seven glasses with 90% foam from one liter of beer!" The sushi? It was fine. But that whole unlimited beer concept felt more like a social experiment about hope and disappointment than a restaurant offer. In short: want an evening where you mainly practice zen, self-control, and accepting your fate? Book now. Just don't forget to bring your own beer—or a raincoat, in case they pour next to your glass.

We used to go there often. Now, a lot of changes have been made to the menu, and the quality has declined. The portions are smaller. Apparently, there's a new owner and chef. Unfortunately, the food doesn't taste as good for the price. It's a shame, but it was our last visit.

We had a great meal here. First we went shopping in Groningen for a day. We were looking for a nice restaurant close to the shops. Yasumi is perfect! Right in the city!

Nice place for Korean grill dishes. All you can eat concept. Plenty of choice in vegetables, fish and meat. Ice dessert is included.

Tasty sushi, meat nice and tender and good service. Tip: don't take on too many guests when it's very busy and make sure there's some more space. Went on Saturday and were seated in a much too small place against a pole where half the table was sitting in front of and two others were sitting less than half a meter away from us, we could barely hear each other and literally heard everything from the other table. Very unfortunate and very unsociable and noisy.

Everything is thrown together on 1 plate, for example if you have ordered terriyaki (beef) with 6 people, you have to eat everything from 1 plate, this is also the case with all dishes. Several dishes were missing per round and you sit terribly close to each other. In addition, the desserts are very minimal. And all that for a hefty price. The service was quick, mind you. Not to be repeated!

I'm still amazed by it. How bad it was. I've been to many (ayce) restaurants but this one is really one of the worst. And that at a reasonably high price and at a prime location. The staff is not friendly and puts the food on the table incomprehensibly. Many sweet sauces and extra ingredients are added to the food that are not on the menu. Everyone sits uncomfortably close together. While it seems like desserts are included, this is in reality very limited. You can choose 2 very small desserts. Some things were quite tasty but we certainly won't be back.

yum yum YUM! I found their salmon really fresh and I was quite impressed because the Eel was really good. When it came to the hot dishes I particularly liked the crispy duck and the Takoyaki. Also really good mango ice cream?! Good value, good food and really quick service even just to clear our plates. Thanks guys!

I really enjoyed my meal at Yasumi. All the sushi we ordered were on the table within 8 minutes, every round. Here you have unlimited rounds and not like other all you can eat sushi restaurants but 4 rounds. I thoroughly enjoyed the extensive lunch menu and they even gave us some extras on the house! Slechte bediening, het moderne in de stad internationale mensen die voor een dubbeltje het eerste rang gaan serveren, maar het vak niet verstaan (wellicht kun je het hun niet kwalijk nemen). Verder moet je uit kijken dat je er geen poot word aan gedraaid. Echt een bespottelijke ervaring een tent voor paupers. Geen stijl geen klasse en zeker niet het geld waard. 115 euro na een uur weggegaan, kortom oplichters.

Had dinner at Yasumi yesterday, left with an unpleasantly full feeling. An hour later I was throwing up everything. The evening continued with a stomach ache and nausea. I have never experienced this before with food from a restaurant. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone, unless you want to be sick…

Eating with friends! The men were looking forward to what we call raw guppies, we are going to do Sushi. The men came over from Friesland. Parked the car under the cinema and after a short walk we were warmly welcomed, we were on time so it was not that busy yet. Table for 4 where we could sit comfortably and relaxed. We ordered drinks and were given instructions on how to order. I saw a card with numbers and thought: hey, could it be a note? No, nice and trendy with your own phone, scan the QR code, choose and order. Big tip! Have everyone scan the code! This way everyone can choose the right dishes at their leisure. You can already guess who the fool was. That's exactly what I was. Scroll, choose and order. It was already pleasantly busy, but that did not detract from the service and the speed of the chefs and waiters. Nice scoop of ice cream and one of the men thought I would like a creme brulee, no problem. It was a beautiful evening, we had a delicious meal and now that I'm writing this I'm thinking... was it also a long time before we had dinner? Usually you are allowed to do an x ​​number of rounds in a certain time. I don't think that was discussed. That's absolutely fine, you don't have to feel rushed. We will come again in due course, there was still plenty to taste on the menu. With 4 people we had several beers including a tip of 50 euros per person and that was not disappointing.

Positive: smooth and correct operation. Less positive, food good but not more than that. All you can eat inflation. All you can eat is pretty stripped down. Drinks, dessert and coffee are not part of the package. Beer €4 and a glass of wine €4.50.

Ideal place to eat after visiting the centre. There is a wide menu to choose from, including beef, salmon, shrimp and more. The taste is certainly passable. However, sometimes a spicy sauce is added, if you can't handle that, let us know. Friendly staff and you are generally helped quickly. Make a reservation, because it is usually full.

If people feel that this is how sushi, sashimi or any Thai food should taste you’re mistaken and I understand that it could be the best for the city but please try something else. Won't be back. Food is not warm and too salty. Noisy restaurant, the waiters were just laughing out loud with each other. Also overpriced with only a small portion.

Nice location in the center. Had dinner tonight but it was quite busy and it turned out that the kitchen was understaffed. With pain and effort I was able to order 4 times, 3 times I had to wait at least 45-50 minutes until the entire order was delivered and 1 time even 1 hour and 20 minutes, while you are already 2 orders further, the rest was delivered with a long delay. Quality was not special, many sushi/rice were cold/firm, taste was okay. Waiting staff did their best, no complaints about that. But if you know that you are understaffed, close the reservation and time slots. Explain why customers have to wait so long and/or offer an apology and a drink. Everyone around us had to wait a very long time. Understaffing can happen, but what do you do to keep customers satisfied, and that could have been a lot better tonight as a company. Management was snowed under and had to fend for themselves.

I was sitting at the table with my neighbors. Small table was full of dishes. Very noisy, busy, couldn't have a private conversation. (Close together) Noodles were better the first time than afterwards. Sushi fell apart. I also couldn't place my order with everyone in Dutch. We had to order on our own phone, not a tablet, very annoying when the battery is almost empty. For the price you can certainly expect more from this.

Food was very tasty and it arrived at the tables quickly too. Asked for fireworks on my birthday but that was forgotten. When I tried to ask people didn't understand me because they don't understand Dutch and partly English. Finally pressed the tablet for dessert, but after fifteen minutes they only came to clear the table 1 minute before time and no dessert, so with fireworks or whatever they had planned on the phone. It was fun and tasty for once, but that's it for us

We came in and had to wait 15 minutes before we were helped. Then we got a seat and had to wait another 15 minutes until everything was explained. After ordering the first round, a woman immediately came and told us very urgently that we had to order drinks. We received part of our food on time and the rest of the order came up to an hour later. I could also see that some plates of food were not picked up at all by the wait staff, causing people to receive their food much later. When a waitress wanted to bring our food to the table, there was a fingerprint with sauce printed on my plate. I thought it was nice that the drinks were brought immediately. When I got my sushi an hour later I might as well put sand in my mouth because that's exactly what it tasted like. I indicated twice that my food was cold and that I received my food much too late, and the man started laughing. There isn't even any soap in the toilet and the tap looks like an airplane. Also one of the toilets was completely dirty. After eating dinner there was a positive thing, leaving. When I had to pay I wanted to tell them again that half of my food was cold. Whereupon the man said sorry and started laughing at us. We were given a mint for the inconvenience. I also don't like having to write this review with dirty hands because there is no soap in the toilet (again). I am very disappointed and hope there will be improvements in the future.
