Delicious sushi and friendly service. Everything was fresh and served quickly. Definitely a restaurant I will return to.

I went on a business trip to Groningen for a couple of days. I tried several restaurants and Yasumi was the best one, I’ve been there 2 times in a row. The atmosphere was good and the food was delicious. You can choose all you can eat or a la carte, I recommend all you can eat. I highly recommend this restaurant if you visit Groningen.

Quaint and stylish sushi place in the middle of Groningen. Stunning à la carte menu with a lot of varieties for all-you-can-eat, and tasty desserts. Super fast services. The owner lady is very friendly, and they are very considerate of your dietary requirements. Truly the highlight of my Tuesday evenings.

I’m always coming back to this one! I find their salmon really fresh and I was quite impressed because the Eel / unagi is really good. When it came to the hot dishes I particularly liked the crispy duck and the Takoyaki. Also really good mango ice cream?! Good value, good food and really quick service even just to clear our plates. €55 for all you can eat and drink

Yasumi Sushi & Grill - Groningen A few years ago, it was a top-notch all-you-can-eat place. Unfortunately, a large number of aspects have deteriorated. First of all, the layout has become very poor, leaving guests with little privacy. The number of options available to order every 10 minutes has decreased significantly compared to how it used to be, while the price has increased (quite a lot, in fact). The food itself has not improved and does not taste very good. More than half of the staff speak English (something to keep in mind). Additionally, customer friendliness has dropped enormously; it is now a matter of bringing in as many customers as possible rather than making the customer feel at ease. Some react almost antisocially to a normal question. The most bizarre thing is the hygiene, about which I cannot say much... All in all, there are plenty of other dining establishments in Groningen that still want to give the customer an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately, you have lost me as a customer and are damaging your image through these deteriorating developments.

The À la carte menu is pricey, but the all-you-can-eat option is well worth it. Everything was very fresh and delicious.

After having eaten here for years, I notice that the quality has deteriorated significantly and the hygiene is substandard. Both I and the person who accompanied me became quite ill from this (food poisoning). While eating the salmon, I suddenly felt something hard in my mouth; it turned out to be a piece of an iron cleaning sponge. This is unacceptable, jeopardizes guest safety, and shows that they are not paying proper attention. As compensation, we received two free drinks, but that absolutely does not compensate for this experience and how the situation was handled. I will certainly not be returning here.

We had a delicious all-you-can-eat meal. Everything was tasty. Sometimes it did take a while, though. So order the next one on time.

Great restaurant! I’ve been there more than 10 times now. The food is amazing and flavorful (unfortunately, the portions are small), but don't let that spoil the fun. The service is fine, though unfortunately almost 75% of the staff doesn't speak Dutch. So I need to try out my English again. For dessert, you have to ask the staff separately. You can't order this on your phone, but you can order everything else. The atmosphere is fine too. Just a bit cramped. You could almost call the aisles a one-way path. This restaurant is very toilet-accessible! I am very satisfied with the restaurant and will keep coming back to eat there. However, there are always downsides.

Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly. We had a delicious meal and the staff was friendly. Two downsides: I find it very annoying that I have to speak a different language in my own country, because most of the servers do not speak Dutch. Another major downside was the price for children under 4 years old. We were with a group of thirteen people, including one 2-year-old child. We had chosen unlimited food (€41.50) and unlimited drinks (€15.00). The unlimited food was free for the child, but the all-you-can-drink package had to be paid for in full. What surprised me is that they reason that a 2-year-old child won't eat that much and therefore doesn't have to pay. However, it is striking that the same 2-year-old is required to pay the full amount for the all-you-can-drink package, even though such a child can't even drink two juices. Otherwise, it was a fine evening and the food was tasty.

This review has been updated a few years later; they've really grasped the concept of shrinkflation here. Where did the fish go? Sushi is drenched in mayo and sprinkles, but the quality leaves much to be desired. It was much better years ago!

Anti-vegan business. Beware. There was no indication that the basic wok contained eggs. Super disappointing for vegans whose sole desire, for ethical reasons, is not to support animal suffering in the industry. It's really not that hard. That in 2026, in a progressive city like Amsterdam, is truly shameful.

The food was too greasy, salty, dry, and overly sauced. You could taste the grilled items being dirty. Extensive selections but incredibly poor food. The service was fine but not very welcoming. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

A decent Japanese sushi and grill restaurant at the Vismarkt in Groningen. You can choose the "All You Can Eat" concept, but also à la carte. You consult the menu and order via a QR code on your phone. I must say they have a fairly wide selection of sushi and grilled dishes. What disappointed me was the very cramped (and closely spaced) seating (not very comfortable if you can hear your neighbors' conversations). Also, the dishes aren't served simultaneously (sometimes there's a very long gap between them, or they're not served at all). I also regularly received dishes that weren't mine or were cold. Furthermore, I found the whole place a bit grimy (the highlight being the dust-covered ventilation in the restrooms).

I ate at Yasumi Groningen with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The sushi was fresh, beautifully presented, and truly flavorful. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and relaxed. Everything was served quickly, and the quality was consistently high. Highly recommended for a fun night out; we'll definitely be back!

I don’t think I will be there again. One of the service members who is young and bold is rude and emotionless. But the lady is very nice. The food was fine but some are too salty and oil. At the end it is impossible to eat at all. I suffer from thirsty for a whole night.

The food and flavour of the food is not great. Speed of service partially makes up for it but not enough to really recommend going here. Probably if you can spend two hours for the all you can eat menu it can be worth it if you keep eating. But don't do it for the culinary experience.

If you like sauces and a lot of variety at a reasonable price, this is the place to be. If you like your alcoholic drink with your food, you can also get the "ALL YOU CAN DRINK" for 15 euros and go all out, hahaha. They have vegetarian and meat options, but I think this is really the place for you if you want to eat unlimited sushi. Their service is fast.

The problem we had was that we did not know what most of the arrived food was. They look very similar and we had to guess. It was busy so the staff did not have time, understandably. Really great location at the vismarkt! Inside its quite big, and there is a beautiful cocktailbar. A bonus was that you could see the chefs as well. We came for all-in lunch and some cocktails. Food was good and came quick. Matcha martini was a new one and I can really recommend it.

First, the edamame beans we ordered weren't delivered. We reported this, and an hour later, we finally received them. The fried shrimp were cold, and we ordered two desserts, only one of which arrived. After 15 minutes, we finally left because there was no service. We reported all this at the cash register, and there was no apology or compensation, such as a free drink or anything like that. Poor service.

They offer unlimited beer. This beer is rather limited, given that the owner checks when "everyone" has finished their glass. When this is brought up in conversation, there's no room for a listening ear. I already disliked the sushi, but now I'm sure.

But wait, you don't get a bottle. No cold tap. No, not at all. This master pourer will personally fill your glass. What you get isn't beer, but a foam tower that would make the Eiffel Tower jealous. Every pour felt like a live cabaret performance: "Watch, ladies and gentlemen, how I fill seven glasses with 90% foam from one liter of beer!" The sushi? It was fine. But that whole unlimited beer concept felt more like a social experiment about hope and disappointment than a restaurant offer. In short: want an evening where you mainly practice zen, self-control, and accepting your fate? Book now. Just don't forget to bring your own beer—or a raincoat, in case they pour next to your glass.

We used to go there often. Now, a lot of changes have been made to the menu, and the quality has declined. The portions are smaller. Apparently, there's a new owner and chef. Unfortunately, the food doesn't taste as good for the price. It's a shame, but it was our last visit.

Nice place for Korean grill dishes. All you can eat concept. Plenty of choice in vegetables, fish and meat. Ice dessert is included.

We had a great meal here. First we went shopping in Groningen for a day. We were looking for a nice restaurant close to the shops. Yasumi is perfect! Right in the city!

Tasty sushi, meat nice and tender and good service. Tip: don't take on too many guests when it's very busy and make sure there's some more space. Went on Saturday and were seated in a much too small place against a pole where half the table was sitting in front of and two others were sitting less than half a meter away from us, we could barely hear each other and literally heard everything from the other table. Very unfortunate and very unsociable and noisy.

Everything is thrown together on 1 plate, for example if you have ordered terriyaki (beef) with 6 people, you have to eat everything from 1 plate, this is also the case with all dishes. Several dishes were missing per round and you sit terribly close to each other. In addition, the desserts are very minimal. And all that for a hefty price. The service was quick, mind you. Not to be repeated!

I'm still amazed by it. How bad it was. I've been to many (ayce) restaurants but this one is really one of the worst. And that at a reasonably high price and at a prime location. The staff is not friendly and puts the food on the table incomprehensibly. Many sweet sauces and extra ingredients are added to the food that are not on the menu. Everyone sits uncomfortably close together. While it seems like desserts are included, this is in reality very limited. You can choose 2 very small desserts. Some things were quite tasty but we certainly won't be back.

Everything was super good, the waiters were super friendly, they spoke to us in English until 2 waiters also spoke Spanish. The food is truly delicious, one of the special sushi is spectacular as is the rice.

Slechte bediening, het moderne in de stad internationale mensen die voor een dubbeltje het eerste rang gaan serveren, maar het vak niet verstaan (wellicht kun je het hun niet kwalijk nemen). Verder moet je uit kijken dat je er geen poot word aan gedraaid. Echt een bespottelijke ervaring een tent voor paupers. Geen stijl geen klasse en zeker niet het geld waard. 115 euro na een uur weggegaan, kortom oplichters.

Eating with friends! The men were looking forward to what we call raw guppies, we are going to do Sushi. The men came over from Friesland. Parked the car under the cinema and after a short walk we were warmly welcomed, we were on time so it was not that busy yet. Table for 4 where we could sit comfortably and relaxed. We ordered drinks and were given instructions on how to order. I saw a card with numbers and thought: hey, could it be a note? No, nice and trendy with your own phone, scan the QR code, choose and order. Big tip! Have everyone scan the code! This way everyone can choose the right dishes at their leisure. You can already guess who the fool was. That's exactly what I was. Scroll, choose and order. It was already pleasantly busy, but that did not detract from the service and the speed of the chefs and waiters. Nice scoop of ice cream and one of the men thought I would like a creme brulee, no problem. It was a beautiful evening, we had a delicious meal and now that I'm writing this I'm thinking... was it also a long time before we had dinner? Usually you are allowed to do an x ​​number of rounds in a certain time. I don't think that was discussed. That's absolutely fine, you don't have to feel rushed. We will come again in due course, there was still plenty to taste on the menu. With 4 people we had several beers including a tip of 50 euros per person and that was not disappointing.
