Sushi Toyama in Wijk 04 Noordoost

Very nice restaurant with very tasty food! We recently ordered sushi and boba here. Unfortunately, the boba arrived broken, but we received a free replacement! Top service. In addition, the people are also very nice. Haven't eaten in the restaurant itself yet, but the food is really delicious.

Dear Toyama, I was always very satisfied with your sushi. but what I received today disappointed me quite a bit. sushi top is very mediocre. orange eggs are only on the top man, very limited seaweed and onions. I hope this doesn't become your new standard. otherwise I will look for a new sushi place. greetings,

Bad sushi I've eaten for years. Not fresh at all and the rice overcooked. It looked like our sushi box was left over from the night before. We ordered 42 pieces. Half ended up in the trash. Waste of your money. Don't order here!

The place is very nice, almost as nice as the people. The sushi is delicious and everything was ready incredibly fast. The bubble tea is also wonderful. We will definitely return.

We did not experience the service or the atmosphere. But our takeout meal was very disappointing. Sushi was of average quality. Chicken skewers were just average. Rack of lamb was chewy and low quality meat...we couldn't even finish it.

I ordered the tuna poke bowl and spicy salmon sushi here based on the good reviews. Unfortunately, it seemed a bit like I had to season everything myself; poke bowl was the vegetables and sushi rice put together and that was it. With a decent bowl of this price you expect at least some furikake, kewpie mayo and/or sriracha, masago, etc. Sushi was a slightly more complete picture, but not great either. Friendly people, but I wouldn't order from here again unfortunately.

Best sushi in Utrecht, without a doubt. Fresh, tasty, top rice, fish always good and fresh. Gyozas are great.

We ordered delivery. They forgot the drinks but sent somebody to deliver them even before we called. They still arrived by the time they originally stated (the sushi was half an hour early). They were friendly on the phone and I appreciate that they fixed the mistake. Overall great service. Sadly, the sushi itself didn't impress, it was falling apart and the taste was just average.

First of all, the service is good, friendly people and it is in a pleasant location. I only found the sushi to be average. The pieces are a bit large, the rice falls apart quickly and I find the taste a bit mild. In my opinion there is little taste to it. This is the second time I order and I wanted to give it another chance. Otherwise a great tent, just not for my taste.

The fact that this Sushi (takeaway) would be the best in Utrecht according to a review and where Google indicates 4.8 stars on its maps based on around 70 reviews, made it worthwhile for me to order here. After a leisurely walk of more than 45 minutes from Utrecht Vredenburg, I placed my order 20 minutes in advance and according to the website it would be ready at 5:00 PM. The website asks you to order via an app, but that app does not work with recent phones, at least Android 14 is not supported, lower than Android 9. My advice is not safe anymore so ignore that app. +points *Fast service when it's not busy *If you like little or no salt, this is your sushi spot* *The ingredients are fresh *Close to public benches *The Salmon was firm and that's how it should be *Well stocked Gunkan * Bonus 4 instead of 2 - points of attention ) *Bland in taste, all sushi in my order *Wasabi was mushy *The soya is desperately needed in this case *Shari without meshi My order M7 menu +Gunkan spicy Tuna 2 pcs, I got 4 +Flamed Eel Nigiri 2pcs, I got 4 For me, Meshi without Shari Zu is swearing in the Sushi Church. That was the reason for lack of taste. As a rule, I need very little soy, just because I am critical of the quality of the soy you get with every takeaway. The unagi and the sauce on it was also very bland which surprised me. While at some takeaway shops I can immediately taste the synthetic sugars from the meshi in addition to the acid, that was not the case here. This is certainly a plus for the Sushi lover who prefers to reduce sugar and salt. The rice was well cooked. Nice firm clear grain, not too soft. I later regretted my choice for a spicy Tuna Gunkan, it was a mild Sambal Oelek mixed in, which did add salt, but I still missed the meshi with every sushi that completes it all for me. No punch in every bite, including the wasabi which was a kind of paste. With the sticks together through the gunk and you have something, this is my first wasabi paste and the color was a kind of chemical green. When I placed my order, I actually asked if I could have more wasabi and ginger in the comment. The ginger was sufficient and crispy, great. In conclusion not the best in my ranking, the score of 4.8 is grossly exaggerated if the rice is always without meshi. I think they are more of a 4.1-4 3 with annotation. Maybe the bonus sushis were to compensate 🤷🏽‍♂️

Very friendly entrepreneurs who prepare the sushi in an open kitchen. It was nice to be able to see the craftsmanship for myself. While I was waiting, a fresh tuna was filleted. Super hygienic with a face mask and gloves and with a clearly trained hand. In addition, the sushi is also really delicious. Every time I am impressed by how fresh and tasty everything is. An absolute must!

Really good sushi great service and also passion for coffee! It is fine to be inside but it is not a great place to eat in in the afternoon at least, maybe it is nicer in the evening

Sushi was super lekker. Vers en erg smaakvol! Ze hadden er zelfs gratis extra sushi bij gedaan. Geweldige service. Dit was de tweede keer dat ik hier heb besteld en beide keren was de sushi top. Zeker een aanrader!

Ik heb al een aantal keer sushi hier afgehaald en elke keer is het eten super vers en lekker, met liefde bereid. Maar vanavond was het helemaal geweldig. Nadat mijn papieren tas scheurde en alle sushi over de vieze grond lag, bestelde ik een nieuwe box waarbij ik in een berichtje uitlegde wat er gebeurd was en dat het me speet van de verspilling. Vervolgens kreeg ik een nieuwe verse bestelling met 4 cadeaubonnen voor het hele bedrag van de box! Echt super lief, dit was precies wat ik nodig had na een zware werkdag en de eerdere teleurstelling. Heel erg bedankt hiervoor lieve mensen van Sushi Toyama!

Great quality sushi! The fish was fresh and all items ordered were well made. Have tried a few Sushi restaurants in the area and so far this is my favorite. I ordered delivery from their website and it came earlier than expected. Recommended.

One the the loveliest restaurants we’ve ever been to - the owner is so friendly and kind, and all the staff are very welcoming too! The sushi is absolutely delicious. Some of the best food I’ve ever had in my life, it’s all handmade, and tastes so fresh. The miso soup was heartwarming, and the Torikatsu was unbelievably delicious!! The children really love the Temaki handrolls. I would love to make my way through the entire menu! I will be revisiting again and again - I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! A truly memorable experience.
