I waited more than 2 hours for food for 2 people

I had to wait 2 hours before I got my food don't go there

Ordered a tuna sandwich got served a tosti. In that ham and kaas tosti, ham was missing. Absolute disappointment guaranteed. Staff is ignorant so don't expect any service.

The food was filling but tasted very bland. We had to wait over 45 minutes for our food and had to ask for the menu ourselves. €18 for a carpaccio pizza is on the pricey side, and the crust wasn't tasty (soft) and not very crispy, as it wasn't made in a stone oven. The truffle mayo was mediocre; more could have been served for the price. And a tip for next time: put the arugula on the carpaccio instead of underneath it.

The pizza was absolutely fine. Unfortunately, the ribeye was poorly prepared and not very flavorful, the vegetables were hard, and the béarnaise sauce was very acidic and a bit curdled. The service and atmosphere were excellent.

The food is terrible, with very little pizza selection. No calzone, no quattro stagioni, no Hawaiian pizza, no ham in the kitchen. In short, these kinds of restaurants shouldn't be called Italian. Don't eat there... the mice are running around the restaurant (inside, that is)—it's definitely something for the food inspection service...🤮🤮

NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!!! What a WRONGLY organized restaurant!!! It wasn't even very busy. Waited an hour for an appetizer! Which had apparently been ready for fifteen minutes! We only got 3 out of 4 dishes! Communication with the kitchen is terrible!!! Mice running around! The manager is extremely incompetent! NEVER AGAIN

Great place. The best Caprese salad I tasted in the Netherlands (so far) :) The place is always tidy and clean. Very enjoyable to sit in the garden during the summer months. Kids love the playing area. I come here regularly and will continue to visit the place in the future!

We had a church lunch there and it was lovey. The staff was accommodating to move us from the terras to inside and the food was so tasty.

Nice place to have lunch. It was not very busy but it took quite a while before we had our dishes. Nice, friendly staff. They also had fun among themselves.....which was not disturbing by the way.

The place outside is great and for the kids it is a great place. Bowling great. We had a package, bowling + food. Bowling from 5pm - 6pm. At 5:10pm we could go bowling. Can happen. At 6:15pm we were sitting on the terrace, at our table. As indicated, nice place. Starter was there at 6:45pm. "Main course is coming, sorry, next drinks on the house" After some insistence " Sorry, the food will be there in 5 minutes" At 8:35pm I was fed up and went to ask for our main course. Immediately indicated that I wanted the full amount back. Without any resistance I received a signed form stating that I would get my money back. Then I got the food (not everything was cooked properly) and then completely ignored by the entire service. Final score. Home at 9:30pm. Crying children, who had their ice cream at home and had a bad feeling about everything. The strange thing is, there is more than enough staff.

Nice looking restaurant with a cozy outdoor area where you can relax during a summer day. Nice playground for the kids. And the food is average to good. It may take a while before you get your food, but I didn't mind that. The young lady who served us came every fifteen minutes to ask if we wanted to order another drink, and this was served quite quickly. And no, you shouldn't go here for a quick bite, then you have to drive to the mc Drive. You have to see it as a chillout visit, without being rushed. I don't recognize the negative reviews. Did they perhaps have a temporary staff shortage or something? My experience and also the company I was with (12 people) thought it was all okay!

I was there with children for a party. Bowling was great, as was the service there. The food in the restaurant was fine. The weather was nice and the service was always outside. Unfortunately, this meant that my order was taken much later than the children's, but that the children also had to wait a long time for their food. I walked outside several times to ask if we could be helped. If you organize parties inside, I think you should also have service walking around there.

Horrible place. We had to wait 15 minutes for waitresses to bring as a menu, as no one came to us and when you wave with hand they just ignored like they do not see you. Not accepted such treatment. In the end menu was brought by the manager. After this it took another 15 minutes till we could order and again my husband has to walk to a waitress because no one came to us to take an order. We ordered calamari and in the menu was written 8 pcs and we assumed it is a calamari ring which our kids love and eat in every restaurant we go and in the end they brought crunchy overcooked calamari small like 20 pieces of 1-2.5 cm, of course kids did not want to eat it. Advise here do not mention 8 pcs and put different description. The top of why we gave 1 star (if we could we would give 0!) we ordered ice tea green for our small kid and normally ice tea served in a glass bottle and separate glass with ice and sometimes lemon on the side of the glass. They brought glass with lemon and ice inside the glass which already was filled with ice tea ( have no idea from where this ice tea came from a bottle or tap or anything else). We told our kid cannot handle lemon he is small so please bring another glass without lemon and they took it away and surprisingly within a minute came back. When my kid started drinking he told it is disgusting and taste lemon and when we looked inside the glass there was pit from a lemon inside. What waitress did she simply took away lemon (maybe even with the hand which we do not know but seeing the service we would not be surprised) and brought us back same glass. Sorry this is not okay as taste of lemon which was inside still there. Disgusting what they did. We asked waitress what is this and explained it is not okay and if our kid has allergie and you do so? Great food, only they can improve a lot in terms of service

Little choice, the menu used to be more extensive. We ordered a pizza BBQ chicken and the chicken pieces had an aftertaste. Furthermore, the atmosphere was nice and the staff very friendly, with good service.

We came here for a drink. Delicious sangria!! Only the mice that walked through the restaurant were not very tasty. Response was yes we see them here often🤔

Generally satisfied. We had a group reservation for 17 people. Children's food arrived much later than the rest of the group, which I found disappointing. When the children's food arrived, the rest had already been served. Otherwise, the staff was nice and we were even allowed to switch places when the weather was bad

What a terrible service they have at Sweet Lake Italy. It takes an incredibly long time before you are helped, you have to ask for everything yourself. They don't even come by to ask if you want something to drink. After asking to order, the waitress indicated that she would ask a colleague, which did not happen. It takes an incredibly long time before you get your food. The food itself was mediocre, the spaghetti carbonara is a lump of pepper. Orders are forgotten, the service is more concerned with themselves than with the customers. Not only at our table, everything went wrong, we also heard irritated customers around us. The place itself is nice, but there is simply no manager who supervises everything. Too bad, we will not come here again!

I come here regularly, but this time the pizza was sparsely topped and limp, not baked properly. Staff was friendly and we got a drink on the house.

The quality of the food is good for the price. The location is perfect for slightly larger groups. I come here often, but unfortunately the service let it down completely. Truly a disaster. Bad staff in the service makes or breaks your evening.

At 12:39 we walked in. At 13:00 my wife asked at the bar outside because it was taking so long and no one came to us, "should we order here at the bar?". Answer: yes that's right. Says the girl. And what about the food? Oh yes we send someone with a terminal. 10 minutes later still not and the restaurant was not even 5% full... We are going to leave now and eat/drink somewhere else. This is bizarrely bad.

We booked a children's party at Dekker for our son because he turned 6. We had a delicious meal at Sweet Lake Italy, went bowling at Dekker and the children also had a great time playing inside. It was a successful party!

The Easter breakfast was much better organized than the Saint Nicholas brunch. Fun activity for the children during the egg hunt. Staff very attentive and active, consciously focused on service. Thanks!

It was another great family day in combination with bowling.

The pizza (prociuto crudo) was beyond expectations! Really buonissima! I will definitely come back often! The terrace is super cozy. Some employees could chat less and pay more attention to guests. This certainly also applies to bowling.

We had to ask several times if the table could be cleared. We weren't the only ones; the entire restaurant was full of tables with dirty dishes, nothing was cleared away. In the end we put the dishes on another table ourselves. It was also a letdown that cocktails/mocktails could not be ordered. We had a birthday boy among us, so we asked for some fireworks at the table. We were promised that this would be on the table within 5 minutes, and after keeping track of the time, we ended up having to wait 23 minutes. We don't know why, because staff was literally doing nothing behind the counter upon entering. There is a very nice play area for children by the way!

We celebrated my daughter's birthday on a Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Sweet Lake Italy with 25 people. The party included bowling for the kids, snacks, drinks and pizza. We all (young & old) had a great time. Sometimes we had to wait a while for our drinks, but the service was visibly working up a sweat, so nothing but praise for their efforts. Thank you for this successful afternoon. We would love to come back here.

Great location for a nice price for bowling and a delicious meal with us, seen by people of all ages. The staff provided good service and if we had any questions, they were able to answer or solve them well.

There was a lot of chaos when we were there, but the manager took our complaints very seriously and handled them very politely. Our compliments really, this man really saved the place there. Furthermore, the food was good!

We were 4 people and had made a reservation at 5:30 PM. But it really took two hours (!) before the food arrived. And it wasn't the first time we had to wait a long time. This was not the case in the past, but it has been the case in the last two years. That's fine, but I think they shouldn't take reservations if the kitchen can't handle the number of guests. The restaurant was nowhere near full. So it's a mystery why you have to wait so long. We won't be back.

Addition to my previous review. Bowled here yesterday, followed by dinner. Bowling was great fun, food delicious. Just a bit small, it was a combination deal, bowling with pizza and pasta. There wasn't much meat on the pulled pork. Pasta prawn was small but very tasty. Finally, the remaining pizza crusts were dipped in the oil left over from the pasta.

To start with, the service here is top notch!! Very friendly staff with a sense of humor who will help you and help us. The food was delicious, I have only received positive comments from my group. We will come back in the warm spring/summer days for the outdoor terrace!! For these prices, an outing remains affordable.

Met de smaak is niets mis, maar het is elke keer weer een ‘verrassing’ welke pizza qua formaat en hoeveelheid beleg je op tafel krijgt. Hier zit weinig consistentie in. De ene keer is de pizza groter dan het bord met zeer veel beleg en de andere keer lijkt het meer op het formaat van een Dr Oetker pizza. Jammer.

We were 11 adults and 6 children (family gathering). A long table was arranged for us. Close to the entrance so that the children could easily go to the playroom. What nasty sour people who leave a review here. Ok, if you want a Michelin-worthy menu then you might be better off at another location, but it is certainly not bad. What a pleasant service and how kind they are to the children! Enjoyed it with the whole family, I'm looking forward to the next time! I also had a children's party with my youngest daughter with bowling/eating/playing. It's great. Both for the Kids and for us! Never had such a relaxed party!

Recently ate here with the family. We had ordered a shared pizza/pasta menu, so that the restaurant could prepare for it and we would have the food fairly quickly. Unfortunately it took 45 minutes before we got our food. In the meantime, drinks could still be ordered, but some drinks were forgotten. The food was certainly not top shelf. The pizza was either burnt or limp and the one vegetarian pasta had too much garlic. The food was also not hot enough. The pasta pesto was tasty. Unfortunately, there were also few vegetarian options. After the main course we wanted to order a dessert. This already took a very long time. When the ice cream was served, it still took a long time before the chocolate cake was served, even though we could just see it standing there. When the waiter was serving the cake, he licked his fingers and then took the forks without washing his hands. Hygiene was lacking. We finally got it, but it was a shame it took so long. When we went to pay, they had added the padel (which we had done earlier and had already paid) to the bill, so we had to pay too much. We did not have a good experience here and would certainly not recommend eating here.

It's a bad day, the catering industry is struggling with a major shortage of employees and Dekker is no different. Yes, it takes a long time, but if the staff is very friendly and hospitable, that makes up for a lot and if the errors are resolved correctly, it is a sign of professional competence. If the service had been better, we would have liked to come back here. We don't rule it out either because they are certainly friendly to deal with.

When there was contact with the staff it was good and they are very sweet. Unfortunately, they were not always easily accessible for an order and I had to walk to them. In addition, a film crew suddenly arrived. That caused a lot of unrest in the restaurant. They should have either announced that or refused. I eat here regularly and will continue to do so.

We had dinner here with a group of people. After an hour and a half I asked where the food was, but it never came because there are only 12 pizzas in an oven. Food wasn't too good either. Hamburger sandwich no melted cheese, no fried bacon and meat much smaller than the bun. Pasta and pizza not filled properly. If you eat here with a group, don't order a pizza because otherwise it will take a very long time.

Great place for a bowling outing with food

We had pizza/pasta/bowling package. Nothing to complain about. Employees nice. Bowling alley worked without a hitch. Pizza was tasty and large. We were one person less due to illness, but because we had already paid for the package, we were able to take the pizza home for the sick person at the end. Great service!! We would love to come back again.

Never had such bad service before. The food is really unacceptable. You have 1 top girl in the service who answered today, the rest are all snowflakes. 2 pizzas out of 5 burned. We had fun playing padel, but my pizza is somewhere in the greenbelt because it comes out as quickly as it went in. Highly recommended!

Such a beautiful place. I like coming here. When the weather is nice it is more fun because you can sit outside with your feet in the sand and children can play both inside and outside Parking is well organized here. Lots of free parking spaces in front of the building And there is a lot to do here. Sports Pool bowling.

Fun for the kids: an indoor and outdoor playground. The pasta carbonara was a little too salty. We didn't think the veal burger was worth 19.50 euros. The penne with prawns was ok. Price-quality ratio is not quite right. Service was ok, they were in a hurry and didn't really seem to pay attention to the customers. There were ice creams for the children, such as cornetto, treasure chests, etc. The children could get these themselves from the lady and each ice cream costs about 3 euros. Also pricey! The atmosphere/decoration was nice. We will come back, the kids enjoy playing there, but not for dinner.

Very nice place to have a good meal and where the children can play

Had dinner at Dekker's today. Pizza is mediocre with little toppings on it, there was almost no tuna on it but a lot of capers on mine. I didn't really like the combination of tuna and capers, but this is of course taste related. It's nice that the pizza can also be ordered gluten-free. The pizza for children was very nice in the shape of a rabbit, which was very much appreciated. I also tried her pizza but I thought it was mushy and not that tasty. My tuna pizza was crispier on the bottom. We come here sometimes, but more because of the opportunity to play in the playground.

Food is bad, no other name for it. The service does its best, but there is understaffing. Mistakes are made everywhere.

Super tasty and eaten with a great view! There is also a playground with sand for the kids (so bring shovels and a bucket is a tip) and an indoor play corner in bad weather. Nice staff and service also good! Recommended!!!!!

I read a lot of negative reactions, so I went there with a slight gut feeling. However, I have to conclude that it was all fine. Maybe they learned?! We had shared dining with pizza and pasta for about 20 people. Delicious. Pizzas were perfect, hot and tasty as well as the pastas. Sufficient service, full terrace, who regularly came to ask if we wanted anything. We lacked nothing.

Last afternoon we went for a drink at Sweet Lake Italy. Nice location to go there with children. We ordered some drinks there and some fries for afternoon drinks. Unfortunately the food was very mediocre. Soggy fries and fairly lukewarm. Although it was very quiet that afternoon, the staff was very busy with themselves. Conclusion: a nice location for children with a good atmosphere, but where there is certainly some room for improvement regarding the food and service.
