Sweet Tree in Burgwallen-Nieuwe Zijde

We had a strawberry/Dubai cup, one red velvet tart, and a chocolate tart: we paid 30 euros for this. The service was mediocre, no explanation. It was tasty, but absolutely not so special that we would want to pay that much money for it again.

The sweets aren't anything special, like in so many other shops. As for the service, it leaves much to be desired. I changed an item when I placed my order, and the person who served me (a young man with a bit of a beard and thinning hair) didn't seem to like it much. His words, his attitude, and the way he looked at me will make me lose this customer for good.

Just went out of this cafe. Atmosphere there is fine but the food is awful. We took bubble tea and tapioca there is the worst I’ve ever tried. Dutch waffle is dry with little caramel inside…

Everything was delicious, and the staff member was very helpful and attentive. The drinks tasted great, and when we wanted to change one of our drinks, he was happy to replace it to make sure we were satisfied and that our expectations were met. Great service and a lovely experience!😍😍

The pastries were dry and microwaved. We had to wait ages to be served and then another 20 minutes at the counter to pay. The server was letting other customers go ahead of us. There was a hair in our small crepes because the waitress had her hair down over the display. Everything was bad and tasted stale; nothing was homemade. And the prices are outrageous. Avoid at all costs.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this shop. Despite the long queue, the staff seemed unmotivated to work at a reasonable pace and were generally quite unfriendly. Furthermore, the waffles and cookies were placed directly on the counter without any sneeze guards, which struck me as odd. I also found the prices disproportionately high, although of course, it's up to you whether you want to buy anything.

The place is nice and cozy, and their waffles are delicious, crispy, and perfectly balanced. I tried the Belgian waffle with ice cream, and the combination was amazing, and the service was quick. A quick tip for first-timers: eating it with a wooden fork can be a little tricky because the caramel waffle (stroop waffle) is naturally firm and compact, so you need to press down on it a bit more firmly to break it up and eat it with a fork. But as for the taste? It's definitely worth trying.

What a rip-off! They put a sign saying the mini pancakes were €6.50, but then when you pay they charge you €12.50. They have tiny print indicating that the toppings and sauce are extra. They never specify the extra price for the toppings and sauce. When you go to pay, you're forced to take them because they're already preparing them. The service was quite poor; when I told them it wasn't the advertised price, they were rude. The taste was meh, not worth €12.50... What a tourist trap!

It is a stole. 26 euros for two bad Coffee and two small stroop wafles. There is no price inside.

It's unrealistic for me that this place has this rating. I had a Waffle with milk chocolate and strawberries and it was perfect. The other one with caramel and banana and I don't know which one is better, perfect!!! . One was about 11eur. But it was worth every cent! Plus you have benches in front!

Ridiculously overpriced! €35.50 for three desserts, when the exact same three cost €14.50 just a little further from the city center. Guys, are you actually serious? You won’t earn all the money in the world in one day. Politeness is nice, of course, but it doesn’t add €21 to three desserts. And honestly, the desserts are nowhere near worth that price.

The staff were incredibly rude; they suddenly charged me much more than they had initially quoted. When I asked them about it, they responded horribly and kicked me out of the store. I definitely don't recommend it.

Music a bit busy and loud. Friendly staff. The pistachio fruit cake wasn't our thing. Latte and Matcha were okay, but not spectacular. Little space to sit.

We ordered a stroopwafle and we only found out during the payment that the price was not the one writtem in the menu. The topping on the wafle were not included in the original price but no one said that to us. The stroopwafle was not bad but the staff was a bit grumpy.

My visit to SweeTree in Amsterdam was, unfortunately, a major disappointment. For a total of €36, expectations were high, but the quality of the products left much to be desired. The Mango Cake The mango cake was a major letdown. The chocolate tasted unpleasantly bitter, and the cream had a lumpy texture that didn't feel fresh. Moreover, there was no fresh mango to be found; the filling consisted of a kind of mango puree incorporated into the chocolate. In my opinion, the cake itself did not taste fresh and had a texture reminiscent of an old product. Dubai Chocolate & Strawberries The combination of the Dubai chocolate and the strawberries was also practically impossible to eat. The chocolate was so hard that it was impossible to get through it with the included fork. As a result, I couldn't even get the strawberries out of the container properly, let alone enjoy them. Dubai Brownie The Dubai brownie made the experience complete in a negative sense. The brownie was extremely hard and bone dry, which simply made the whole thing inedible. Conclusion Given the high price and the very mediocre quality of the pastries, I absolutely cannot recommend this place. It was a costly lesson and certainly not worth repeating for us.

The espresso was awful and the macaron wasn't meringue-flavored.

A super sweet Italian man genuinely did his best to keep us smiling and satisfied! So thoughtful of him! The drinks are fantastic and the sweets are so good I brought more home with me 🥰♥️!

The best waffle I've ever had! The Matilda cake is even better than the movie itself. We were delighted with the food, the place is lovely, and the service was very friendly.

The decor is lovely, perfect for taking photos in the mirrors. They have a small seating area, very nicely decorated. The drinks are good and the staff is friendly, with a great atmosphere and good music. Highly recommended.

The welcome was very friendly, but when you enter the shop, you see that the waffle costs €6.50, but it doesn't mention that with two toppings, like chocolate and strawberry, the whole waffle will cost €11! So I didn't dare refuse to pay. The waffle was also very small and not even homemade, and the chocolate was cold. A 33cl Fanta costs €4, and the price isn't displayed either. If you have to spend €11 in a café, this place is not recommended.

Great service...... And these workers go through a lot of tourists that have bad attitudes. . They keep a smile and keep working pleasantly. You can't say anything bad about the goodies. The sweets , everything's delicious, prices are good for where it is. I go there almost every day to get a brownie. It's my favorite.

Atmosphere Very central location in Amsterdam, close to the Royal Palace and Dam Square. Area looks nice and historic, but it is also very crowded most of the time. Feels very touristy. Service Service around this area can be mixed. Some places are friendly, others feel rushed because they deal with many tourists every day. Food / Shops Many cafés, restaurants, and small shops nearby. Easy to find something quickly, but prices are usually higher than average and quality can be hit or miss. Overall Good location if you are already in the city center or visiting Dam Square. But it is very tourist-focused, so value for money is not always the best.

A wonderfully beautiful shop with extremely friendly staff. The young man behind the counter tried to have a good conversation with my 6-year-old daughter, and even though he didn't speak Dutch (according to himself), we had a lovely chat, and the bubble tea and macarons were delicious!

Not good , I got a strawberry dubai cup ans the kanafa was stale. Strawberries weren't cut not even the tops of them. Also had dubai waffle which was stale. Not made fresh to order. Coffees very basic and overall over priced. Wouldn't go again

This was my second visit here, i got the pistachio cheesecake this time and it was great. The first time i visited I got their snickers cake, and it was hands down the best piece of cake I’d ever had. Had to make sure I stopped in again since I was in town.

Simply disgusting. Even as we ate them, we felt like they were the worst churros we'd ever had. We all felt sick! The four of us! Our daughter threw up three hours later!

Iced Brown Sugar Latte was good, but the Churros were pre fried and then fried again after ordering. They were oily and not crispy at all. A waste of calories basically. The chocolate sauce on it was okay, nothing special. Also the tables were dirty and a copper cable under one table????

I was thrilled. A very nice employee served us. The iced matcha latte was delicious, and we had macarons with it. A dream 🤤 If I didn't live so far away, I'd go there regularly. 🥰

Matcha didnt taste like matcha, waste of money

This store caught my eye and drew me in as I was passing by a few days ago. I got a salted caramel gelato and loved it. I’m on vacation so I took a photo of my gelato. I’m really glad I did so I was able to go back and find the place a week later and get another gelato. If you are in Amsterdam and feel like a sweet treat, go to Sweet Tea. They have macaroons and other treats as well as gelato.

We had churros. The price was higher than advertised when we paid. They came out quite dry and not at all fluffy, and they had the wrong topping. Quite expensive for the quality. The leather on the benches in the seating area is already peeling off (due to the cat), and the tables were dirty. The restaurant offers the option of renting a power bank for €1/hour. Unfortunately, this feature didn't work on-site either.

The café has a cute decor. The service was a bit slow, but the staff were friendly. The table and the floor were very dirty. The red velvet cake and the macaron were naturally very sweet, but still delicious. The iced matcha strawberry and the iced tea refresher were also delicious and not overly sweet. All of this is a bit pricey for €23. I'd choose a different coffee next time.

Got no complaints, service was good, food too and the store is beautifully decorated

Freshly made waffles, warm, buttered, and topped with a drizzle of warm Nutella. Just what you need in Amsterdam's cold, rainy, and cloudy weather! The place was very romantic and all pink. The fake flowers on the walls and the neon "I wish you were here" signs gave the place a dreamy atmosphere!

Finally, I had the famous Dubai bar, with white chocolate. It was fantastic, thanks in part to the friendly staff member's helpful advice to let the bar warm up first. The long wait to eat this bar was rewarded with the perfect bar! A taste sensation! And the staff were fantastic!

I don't know what people write here but the. Dubai chocolate I found very tasty and more than worth the money. What do you expect when you buy in the city center? Even in the supermarket it costs more than 12 euros. This is honestly the tastiest Dubai bar I have ever eaten. I have tried several and this one is really tasty I also found the white chocolate version delicious. The atmosphere and the staff are also friendly.

I tried the pistachio brownie and honestly... it was a real disappointment. It was way too sweet and sickening, and it stayed in my stomach all weekend. It's a shame, because the place is pretty and tempting, but the quality of the products doesn't match.

The concept and the people working there are nice. Does not change the fact that you get instant diabetes from everything in there. Doesn’t matter what you order, everything tastes the same: sugar and more sugar. Also there’s a cat running around the store and near the costumers so that’s something to wonder about.

We wanted to leave without buying anything, but ended up ordering two waffles with chocolate. Unfortunately, there was no clear pricing for the toppings, and we were charged 16 euros, which seemed quite expensive. Overall, not a pleasant visit, and we wouldn’t come back..

The food is quite good but it’s way too sweet and way too expensive. I paid 15€ for a cup of strawberry with pistachios and chocolate. I not gonna lie, I don’t really recommend it.

Looks like a nice shop but warning: NO LONGER OFFERING BUBBLE TEA ! I was on a wild hunt to get some and found this shop, and was promptly told they stop offering them recently.

The truth is that we didn't like it very much, quite high prices and average flavor, nothing out of the ordinary for those prices, I honestly don't recommend it.

All kinds of tasty sweets, strawberries with chocolate, cup cost 11 euros, hence the lower score due to price-quality ratio. The strawberries were really fresh and the chocolate was nice and warm, after a while the strawberries stuck to the cup because the chocolate hardened.
