I usually always start positive. The location was nice. We were a group of 13, there was room enough outside when we arrived, but no, we had to sit inside. And it was a very warm day. Uninspired personell, the girl did her best, she was nice enough. Other person completely uninterested. My chicken burger, and my two collegues burgers were completely dry and I am a serious salt eater, but for the first time I could not finish my french fries, they were way way too salty. For a night out or sitting outside with nice weather and just fingerfood and drinks, its a nice realy Amsterdams kroegje. But personell and cook could probably do a little better 😀 or maybe a large group is too much. Who knows, maybe we were just a little unlucky that day.

The food is so much better than you'd expect! Cheese fondue all year round! The owner is a sweetheart. Even if you accidentally offend her, like I did (this isn't a tip, just be nice!) It's a nice mix of Amsterdam locals and tourists.

We ordered bread with aioli and returned it because it was moldy. The replacement we received was also moldy.

what a nice place! spent the evening outside on a friday at the nieuwmarkt and they had more than enough space whereas everything else was full, extremely nice staff, and when i went inside to pee i saw how nice and cosy the inside was so also could’ve stayed inside. great experience, loved to find a new cafe at the nieuwmarkt that i hadn’t been to before, mainly because of the nice staff:) (also the food that was delivered to the table next to us smelled amazing)

This restaurant offers a calm and subdued atmosphere, ideal for escaping the bustle of the bars opposite. Its superb bar area offers signature and classic cocktails, prepared with care. Special mention for the ribs, served generously. A perfect address for a relaxing evening in an elegant setting!

First time visiting this cafe, our experience was very good, the young lady at the bar was very kind with us, after our coffee we decided to have dinner which came to the table super fast and was very delicious!! the whole experience was worth it for us!!

In the begging it seemed like a nice place to sit and enjoy a drink, but unfortunately the staff was rude and didnt care about our order.

Yesterday my partner and I were hungry and made the choice to sit here, in the first place we saw. It turned out to be a really bad choice. The place was disgusting on the inside. We realised the staff and even the cook touched everything bear handed. When the pizzas came (which were obviously frozen), my pair of fork and knife had stains on them!!! Then we asked for new, and the barman argued with us that “they look absolutely fine”. Bad service, bad quality, worst experience!

Not a good experience. It rained heavily last night, and we thought this might be a good shelter for a nice drink. While we were looking for a spot, we were greeted by a very unfriendly (or rather rude) English-speaking bartender, who pointed out that we had not said 'hello'. I said 'hi', but that wasn't good enough according to the gentleman. Despite our friendly explanation, he remained unpleasant and did not want to know anything. It's funny to have someone point out norms and values ​​that they don't have themselves. When I read the reviews here this happens more often. Doesn't belong in the catering industry. Of course you have to do what you want with it, but if you walk a few meters further you will end up at Café Cuba. Nice staff there, they understand catering 😉

Hamburger without anything. No Ketchup or other dressing. No tomato or salad. Just a dry patty on a dry bun. The baked potatoe was a naked potatoe without Sour cream. I enjoyd Amsterdam, but this wasn't a Restaurant. Poor.

There is now a steakhouse here that is not recommended. Very little sauce and a dry potato with a packaged Becel margarine. The waiter only talks to his friends and cares little about the guests. The worst thing was the hamburger without lettuce, tomato without sauce, just the bun with meat. And very proud prices too. At the moment we are sitting in the construction site, but of course the restaurant can't do anything about it. Not recommended

A highlight of our trip. Just a lovely "local" bar and Joe creates such a lovely atmosphere we smiled the whole time. Simple food and drinks in an unfussy environment that we loved

Our theatregroup started going here after rehearsals since it was the nearest place, but after our second visit we decided to go elsewhere because of the rude barstaff. It was one person, so it could be that the other staff here are friendly, but that person took an active disliking to us from the moment we first arrived and none of us are sure why. I can appreciate in this area you might get quite frustrated at drunken tourists, but we were all sober and the place was otherwise empty. We also ordered food the first time (cauliflower tacos) which was undercooked and drowning in sour cream. We won't be back again, which is a shame as the ambience of the place is really nice.

Tasty cocktails and delicious food

Nice place with an outside seating area that's a great people watching spot. However there was only one server who had to take orders and pour the beers all on her own, on a Friday night! Help the poor girl and hire more staff.

This place was great, until I was throwing up at 3 AM that night. I'm 100% sure something here caused it, I didn't eat anything out of the ordinary the rest of the day. Stay away from the beef burger, folks!

We went late in the afternoon. Great service and great nachos and cheese fondue. Lots of locals seemed to be enjoying a drink and snacks. If you’re looking for a fast bite, this is perfect!

We have been there several times and everything was great. Unfortunately not this time. Ordered drinks three times which were not delivered but were taken again each time, food took a very long time. The bartender also indicated that everything went wrong tonight. That's a shame if you end up paying €200

We made a previous booking and they forgot, only interested in sell wine... we order 4 fondues, in the bill we found 5, extra beers and when we complained about that the boss got agressive and through us away insulting us... we paid the complete bill but for sure we won't come back... horrible

Dutch local Cafe lounge vibe great salads, a Nepalese Lentil soup, steaks, pre-book chicken skewers, good wines, be nice or go home vibe.

The bar itself is nice, however the waitress was not too friendly. Also didn't come outside to get our order (we had to walk inside multiple times to order additional drinks). The soft drinks are obviously good, not much can be wrong with that. However, the hot chocolatemilk was tasty, but the 2 cookies tasted super old.

I was wondering around in the center before going to a next appointment. Everything was busy, busy, crowded, noisy. Almost decided to just go to the supermarkt and eat something small on a bench near the water. Fortunately I bumped into this little pearl. Tuinfeest is small, warm, cosy, relaxed and was in this case not crowded and extremely busy. The vegan burger was good, the service relaxed and nice. Loved it and will for sure come back for a nice drink outside soon!

Dit frisse en vrolijk ingerichte eetcafé wordt met de jaren beter! Het heeft een ruime en opengaande pui, veel ruimte aan de bar, tafels en terras, lekkere bieren van de tap, een fijne keuken met voor ieder wat wils en bovenal een topteam achter de bar!

A great place to chill out and rest feet!

Lovely staff, very polite. The burger was cooked medium and was perfectly executed, the bun was a little on the hard side though, but tasted great. It was a very chill atmosphere.

Tuinfeest Das Lokal liegt Mitten im Amsterdam bei der oude Waag. Gegenüber eines kleinen Platzes und einer Kracht. Ein kleines am Eck gelegenes schönes und uriges Lokal. Gehen schon über 20 Jahre dort als mal essen. Das Essen war wieder super. Bedienungen sind immer freundlich. Das Bier immer gut, wie üblich in Holland. Am besten wenn es das Wetter erlaubt raus sitzen. Man bekommt den ganzen Trubel mit, und die halbe Welt läuft dran vorbei. Man könnte sagen Amsterdam ist ein Bienennest voller tolle Kulturen. 4 hoofdgerechten besteld. 1 gerecht kwam 15 minuten na de andere, de biefstuk was praktisch rauw (was overigens niet gevraagd hoe het gebakken moest worden…) Pepersaus kwam rechtstreeks uit de koelkast, ijskoud. Seizoensgroenten waren smakeloos gekookte broccoli en bloemkool plus rauwe winterpeen, rauwe bleekselderij met selderij en rucola als “garnering “….?!?! de chef had duidelijk een extreem slechte dag

Supervriendelijke meneer in de bediening die zelfs aanbood mijn waterflesje even te vullen. Een gewoon sfeervol kroegje, anders dan de schreeuwerige tenten op de Nieuwmarkt en de Wallen. Lekkere Rosé en keuze uit verschillende speciaal biertjes.

Enkelt att få plats. Väldigt god och vällagad mat. Trevlig service där personalen gör det lilla extra. Vår hund fick vatten utan att vi frågade efter det.

Twee verschillende biertjes gehad en allebei smaakten ze niet zoals het hoorde. Erg jammer.

Chillige Location. Bis auf den Fisch war es sehr gut. Der Fisch war allerdings schlecht. Haben ihn nicht essen können. Freundin hat ihn sich nochmal durch den Kopf gehen lassen müssen, obwohl sie nur zwei Bissen probiert hat.

A true gem in Amsterdam: laid-back, trendy and with great food. Service was friendly and appropriate. Greetings from Italy :)

Food was great! Typical Dutch eetcafe which was exactly what I wanted to show my American family. Service was poor, however. It was very difficult to order as all three waitresses found it more gezellig to sit behind the bar together and drink. At one point, one waitress spilled an entire beer (which we didn't order) over my brother, and then ceased to return, possibly out of embarrassment. He had to walk to the bar with a beer-soaked pant leg to ask for a towel. The young waitresses need training in customer service! Other than that, it was enjoyable. I would recommend!

Waar moet ik beginnen?! Wat een absolute one-of-a-kind kroeg. Geweldige (eetcafe) kaart. Riante porties, top kwaliteit, bediening 9+. Gewoon gaan.
