Very tasty food. Even the tenderloin satay which was cooked perfectly and my girlfriend the Spicy ribs. She can handle hot food well but this was her edge of intense. Nice staff only very noisy but hey we are very sensitive to stimuli so that is very personal. Definitely recommended.

A beautiful, "aviator-style" restaurant with a casual atmosphere and excellent cuisine. The selection of dishes is limited, but perfectly adequate if you've chosen that style of cuisine. The food was a delight, and everything was perfect. The starter bread and sauce were delicious; I would have had them as a main course. The steak was perfect. Even though we were full, we couldn't resist dessert and devoured it all because it was so delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive. If you want to spend a relaxing evening in one of Amsterdam's typical restaurants, this is a recommendation from me.

After all these years still a nice and reliable place for good food (the classics are classics for a reason). Friendly and (also nice) Dutch speaking service with a heart for the business.

Great food, great beer. The waiters are incredibly friendly and there is a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. They have a good selection of beer and the food menu is simple but polished.

Dinner prix fixe was excellent value. €39.50 for starter, main, and dessert. The Japanese beef rolls were delicious with the slightly sweet and salty teriyaki sauce and wasabi, the catch of the day was sea bass which was served with mashed potatoes and micro asparagus. The fish was perfectly cooked. For dessert, the sticky toffee cake was a great finish. The staff are friendly and attentive.

Had a great party here at t'' Vliegertje last Tuesday. We ended up here because we wanted to celebrate a retirement party. Marcel helped us excellently and met our wishes perfectly. The food was superb. Especially the spareribs and satay. Location is excellent and close to the RAI. I can recommend it to everyone!!

Been coming here for years with a good friend! They know us and that alone makes it extra fun! The more regular items on the menu are already fine, and the chefs do their best to regularly come up with something extra special. Exotic and for gourmets! The Scheldestraat has become pleasant, but some motorcyclists feel that they have received too little attention in their lives. Then you better keep quiet for a while!

Had a great meal but was kicked out within the minute after our reserved time slot. Food wasn't even finished yet. Slightly nasty aftertaste. Response: Thank you for your response. The fact that there is no time slot available at 8:00 PM is not a reason for me to know that we have to leave immediately. You indicate that you never show people the door after the end times, we were not offered an alternative, were we? Anyway, you already have the right to show us the door at this point. It just felt like a shame because we weren't in the mood to leave yet. And yes, it was not at the minute, but at the twelfth minute. Doesn't change the aftertaste, which is just right for me. By the way, from the entire group.

Every time I fly into AMS, I have to visit t’vliegertje. This time I tried their spicy ribs and as usual, they did not disappoint!! I’ll see you all the next time I’m in town. Cozy old-fashioned pub converted into an attractive restaurant. The service was off and on. One moment everything came quickly and the next moment we had to ask if it was still coming. Waitress is think forgetful. The spareribs were delicious. The rest of the menu is very basic and not particularly tasty. I would definitely come back for the spareribs, but not for the rest.

I give four stars because I have been hoping for years that they will invest in making the restaurant more acoustically pleasant. If you are with a group, you cannot hear the person on the other side of the table and if there are many groups, it will be noisy and noisy and you will go home overstimulated. And believe me, this place is regularly completely full, so hopefully adjustments will be made soon to make it an even more pleasant dinner at t Vliegertje!

Was a really good experience! Nice cocktails. Service and food top quality. Beef carpaccio with pesto was amazing. Ribs and Tuna was both really good. Dessert also. Great deal and perfect size for 3 course menu. Busy Friday evening but attentive and service minded staff. Definitely recommend and will visit again.

Recommended! We were 5 people, no reservation, but we were told that we could sit at the bar and a table would become available within 10/15 minutes. We could even order food at the bar so we didn't have to wait too long once the table was available. I opted for the spareribs and others for the satay, house specials. These are definitely recommended! The spareribs were well seasoned, tender and the right amount, delicious! Desert afterwards was also doable. Staff is friendly, got the impression that it is a family restaurant and came at the right times to ask for drinks and plates were not there for very long. It is not too big, which also creates a nicer atmosphere, so I am enthusiastic and definitely recommend it.

The food was excellent again, but it's a pity that this is the second time that the staff has made mistakes. The young boys did a great job, but the lady was already taking away plates while someone was still eating and cutlery was being thrown down. Very unfortunate.

Picked up spare ribs with fries. Taste was very good. Delicious fries and good spareribs. The ribs were well cooked. Portion was good. Personally, I would like thickly meaty spareribs. Now there were parts that were actually only bone. Perhaps it would then be too expensive, but the portion could be slightly smaller because the proportion of bone meat is different. But will definitely go back again

We were a group of 19, made reservations for dinner about a week prior. 4 of us ordered the "catch of the day" which was Pad Thai noodles with gamba. As soon as the plates arrived and we took the first bite, all 4 of us refused to eat it. it smelled and tasted rotten. After telling the waitress, she took my plate, went into the kitchen, came back about 30 seconds later and put the plate back on my table telling me that "everything is fine"! All 4 of us refused to eat it. We never got offered a different meal so we all just finished the side salads and shared some frech fries with the rest of the group. I asked for the check after dinner (which was close to €1.000 for 19 people) and the waitress refused to take the 4 rotten noddles off the bill. This was unaccpetable and I have never experienced anything like this before. The food of the rest of the group was ok but the whole situation left a really bad impression with all of us. edit after the response of the owner: I understand that tastes are different. I have had many pad thais in my life but yours tasted just awefull and nothing I have ever tasted before. I was not the only one, there were 4 of us complaining about this dish. my point here is: the whole situation could have been handled different from your staff. If we were just offered something else - everyone would have been happy. instead we left early with a huge bill and a bad impression.

Dined with 9 people, excellent service, tasty food, cozy atmosphere. Not 5 stars because there is always room for improvement ;-)

I expected a lot from the spareribs based on the reviews. I found them to have a strong taste. We tried very hard to eat them all. It was a bit much. I think they are old-fashioned with pouring water. Come up with a revenue model. I don't mind paying for water at all. You simply don't drink bottled water anymore, except maybe sparkling water. Because if you sell such sweet/salty spare ribs you just get very thirsty. Service was friendly and helpful. Thank you, we had a nice evening together.

We were there with my 85-year-old mother. We sat in the back, dark corner under the speakers and asked if the air conditioning could be turned off. We had made a reservation. It would have been nice if we had had a place at the front of t Vliegertje. It was asked, but was not responded to adequately, unfortunately. Good/tasty food.

You have to be able to withstand the noise of a cafe in combination with a restaurant. If you have trouble with this, then you will go eat somewhere else. Unfortunately, you will not have been able to taste the tastiest spare ribs in the region.

It remains a gem to make a special drive to. The Catch of the Day (pasta with vongole) had a great taste. Service and atmosphere as traditionally familiar, friendly and professional.
