Dear Tandoori Express, Today I placed an order through your website at 6:08 PM. The expected delivery time was considerably shorter, but my order didn't arrive until 7:50 PM—more than 1 hour and 40 minutes later. Furthermore, upon receipt, the sauce had leaked and the food looked less than perfect. This was very disappointing, especially since I had ordered three dishes and expected a hot, fresh meal. I find this experience far below the standard I've come to expect from you.

We went to the restaurant for dinner on a Tuesday evening. We received a warm welcome, and all the staff were incredibly friendly. This is a place you almost have to stumble upon by chance, but when you do, you're pleasantly surprised. The food is SUPER delicious, incredibly flavorful, and the menu is nicely varied, with delicious options for vegans and vegetarians as well. Highly recommended!

We arrived, expecting to be seated. We didn't see any tables, but were quickly approached and led to a back room with three. I was skeptical, but they truly exceeded my expectations. The people were so welcoming, and the highlight, of course, was the food. You come here for a truly extraordinary experience, one that's not based on restaurant etiquette, but on an experience. You leave with a big smile and a completely full stomach.

Sevinc & Usman are an amazing ambassadors of this delicious place - Seriously some of the best indian food I ever had - TAKE OUT only - But worth the trip - Would love to see you open a restaurant- I would send all my friends there - Amsterdam Would really be lucky - Very CLEAN !!!!

First order a month ago and got sick. Thinking it would be a one-off, ordered again this week and got sick again. Very unsanitary and certainly does not worth the price.

Good food and brilliant service

Waited 2 hours for a delivery made online which included 27 minutes on hold on a phone call to the restaurant. DO NOT ORDER!! DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH THE TROUBLE OF WAITING 2 HRS FOR A MEAL THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER AND MORE HIGE HUGE REGRET CONVENIENT

This place's butter chicken is an insult to butter chicken itself. Too sweet abd no spice at all! They are just a ripp off. Ordered biriyani and it didnt seem fresh? It smelled like heated food in the oven and the portion! Like they literally gave me so much less on my 2nd order.. Just the worse...

I was visiting Amsterdam and was craving for Desi food and found this place near me, So just popped in and there was only two dirty tables in corner, I ordered tikka masala with naan and it was just Curry with few chicken pieces in it. All this was bearable but there were 8 to 9 delivery boys standing beside me and one of them was continuesly staring at me. Horrible experience no recommending at all.

Usually I don’t review but experience was so bad, had to write. The food had a very unpleasant taste and had to throw it in garbage, It was not close to Indian cuisine at all, forget about authentic. It's a complete misrepresentation of Indian food and overall very disappointing.

We ordered food yesterday around 4:30 PM (as we often do at Tandoori Restaurant), but unfortunately, we had to wait over three hours before the delivery driver finally showed up. It's a real shame because their food is quite good. I hope they'll keep an eye on this and deliver the food a bit faster in the future.

Chicken was clearly undercooked. Curry quality was poor. Did not taste fresh at all. Also saw some hair in the food. I vomited right away. Have a messy stomach now. It was during my work shift when I ordered this food (I work in healthcare with vulnerable patients) I tried calling back to give a general feedback as all restaurants cannot be perfect but gotta reflect on feedbacks to improve quality. The person I spoke to was too defensive and kept telling me no worries I’ll give you discount next time you ordered. I did not call to get a refund or compensated. I called to give a feedback to help the restaurant maintain its reputation and protect others from gastroenteritis. Unfortunately there was no cooperation which seems pretty unprofessional. I mean I’m a doctor. I’m not a beggar to beg you for a refund of 24 euros. Clearly the individual just assumed what he thought of why I am calling (compensation) rather than listening to my concerns. I believe a general inspector should give them a surprise visit and evaluate it their a threat to the health safety of the population as I worked with a lot of patients in the area and gastroenteritis is common. They also share a similar story—-> we ordered take away and ate food similar to what they offer on their menu. I just don’t make assumptions it’s all from them but there’s definitely a big chance after I tried their food. I’m writing this while I’m stranded in the bathroom. Lived in Africa for 4 years and believe me even street food there was more hygienic/fresh than this restaurant. Never ordering here again

I’ve been waiting for my order for almost 2 hours despite the delivery time was shared as max 30 minutes. I’m trying to call the restorant to check, however their phone is not working!!! Do not ever order anything from this restaurant! They ruined our sunday dinner time

Total Rip-Off – Never Again Absolutely unacceptable. I paid nearly €50 for two hamburgers and fries, and what I got was a joke. The fries were old, dry, and clearly reheated more like leftovers from someone else’s plate than something freshly made. The burgers? Barely decent, nothing special at all, and definitely not worth the price. For that kind of money, I expect quality not cheap, lazy food thrown together without care. Shame on this place for charging premium prices for substandard food. I won’t be back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Go here for the Indian (tandoori) dishes. The tandoor, rice, and saag paneer were very tasty. But the Surinamese side dishes were less so: the egg curry sauce tasted like something out of a can. The tempeh was simply doused in chili sauce... the long beans had a few glazed onions mixed in, but it was pretty bland. What is good: the veggie roti roll comes with tofu and tempeh, along with potatoes and long beans. So, it's quite filling. Actually, 3.5 stars. But hey, I'm not the worst ;) The atmosphere is really bad: takeaway only.

I don’t usually write reviews, but i feel like i have to warn other food enthusiasts by writing an honest review. The butter chicken was simply horrific, it reminded me of canned tomato soup. Nothing wrong with tomato soup, but for 36,- euro’s for 2 portions I expected so much more. Honestly, its a insult to the Indian kitchen. Please do not order here!

After I had to cancel an order because it was made twice, I immediately called the restaurant about it. They saw and confirmed the double booking and promised to refund my money as soon as possible. We are now almost 4 weeks and many phone calls later, but I am constantly being sent from pillar to post. Promises are not kept (refund, call back, etc.) and the boss is - at least for me - no longer reachable. Worthless treatment, disrespectful to the customer!!

The best chicken butter we have ever tried! The service is unbeatable, the boy is super nice and speaks Portuguese 🙌🏼🙌🏼 on top of that he is halal. Whenever we can we go to get food, we love it

The worst Indian food I have ever eaten. The butter chicken in particular is really gross. In addition, there are jalepeños in the tikka masala???? Rice isn't even good either. I literally threw up while eating it.

These packages are a company with tandoori express such a great quality it is top notch. Even my brothers but they fool everyone restaurant and express why cooked food for Surinamese go to a Surinamese and for Indian go to an Indian but these are scammers.

Tikka massala, saag paneer and naan and rice everything is just really great, €43 for a great deal with butter chicken also delivered to your home, order this every week, you can really eat Indian food with 5 people for €43 with that deal, but the butter chicken is really the nastiest butter chicken I have ever eaten, they really need to do something about it, my father calls it orange gunk

Ordered via Uber eats, and it was delivered in 45 mins even though I live 300 metres away and the Shahi Paneer I ordered was the worst Shahi Paneer I had in my entire life, it was like I was eating raw milk, had to throw it away and eat the Naan with pickel I had.

I always order butterchicken here, they are delivered quickly. And it's super tasty! Lots of chicken and the rice is fluffy, and the naan is super big.

Worst service ever, have to wait 2 hours for my order, they answer the phone once and say it will be there in 10 minutes and then another hour later. They stop answering their phones and you won't get any contact via Uber Eats. I have no idea where my order is now.. If you have the patience you can order here, I strongly advise against it.

I placed an order at 10:07 PM and received it within half an hour, even though I live quite a bit further from the restaurant. So this is really nice!! We don't have to say anything about the food, in one word DELICIOUS. You can taste that it is homemade. The delivery person very nice and polite. This will be my regular ordering address.

Authentic Indian food with perfectly balanced flavours - simply delicious! I'd definitely order again. The homemade samosas were excellent. Delivery took a bit longer, but that's understandable, given we're on the opposite side of the city. Highly recommend!

Ordered food from this restaurant today via Thuisbezorgd.nl (roti chicken fillet). I'm quite disappointed. The portion was more than enough since I ordered "special". There was also plenty of pepper. Also plenty of long beans, potatoes and 'sauce'. So why disappointed? The chicken breast was "sour" (just like the potatoes) and on the dry side. Not tender. Half an hour after eating I still have that sour taste in my mouth and my stomach is slightly upset. The flatbread was too thick in my opinion. I took a few bites and threw the rest away. It was an offer that should normally cost €17.95, but I don't think it's worth it! I am of Surinamese descent and Indians make the best roti. We know that. But this wasn't close to what I'm used to. I thought it was really dirty. Update: I have been contacted by the restaurant and I have received a suitable solution. I think that's very nice of them! Thank you.

We are officially addicted to this restaurant, all dishes are a feast of great taste. If you like spices and a lot of meat and chicken, I can say that you have never eaten anything like this here when you are hungry in the evening.This is the only place open. Ordered here for the first time last night. Butter chicken, Chicken tikka masala, Saab paneer, 2 papadums, Mint sauce, Mixed salad, 2x nan, with Basmati pulao rice. Everything is freshly prepared in the kitchen at the back of the store. The staff is friendly and hospitable and will help you with your choices. The prices are good, especially for the quality you get. If you like Indian cuisine, this restaurant is definitely recommended!! The food is very authentic and tasty.

We were very hungry late at night and thankfully this quaint place was open and kind enough to serve us at a late hour. The food was exactly what I was searching for, the location safe and easily accessible by public transport. Yet most of all, the service we received was exceptional. The main man on the desk who served us was kind, efficient and quick. I highly recommend if you are in need of a late night curry. I’d recommend this ‘late night curry place’ EVEN in the day time. Go crazy.
