A hidden gem in Schagen. Super delicious food, great craft beers, and friendly service. Highly recommended if you don't want to be in the crowds.

The food was tasty, but very little for 18.50

The food was okay, but not exceptional for the price. For example, three satays were very small for €10.50. I was with children, and after 45 minutes I asked where our food was. The takeaway service was quite fast, from what we saw. People ordered and were gone with their food within 10 minutes. The food didn't need to be prepared at that moment; it was heated up from containers. I really think it's a shame we had to wait so long and that it was so expensive for what you got. So, we won't be returning.

There was no staff so you could only pick up but the rendang was not made with lean meat and the tofu and tempeh was very dry and at 15 euros it was very expensive

Great atmosphere! Wonderful to eat good food at an affordable price! Good vegetarian options. There aren't many places in Schagen where you can eat affordably with such a great atmosphere.

We picked up a meal for two people. We didn't opt ​​for a set menu, but ordered separately and heated everything up at home. Noodles, portions of satay, some vegetables, and risotto. It was all incredibly flavorful and authentic, truly delicious. It's not cheap, but everything is fresh and prepared with passion, and you could really taste it. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic meal at this restaurant specializing in Asian cuisine, of which there are few in Schagen, specifically Indonesian! The service was also very hospitable, which made for a truly fantastic experience!

I had a really delicious roti. I also tried some of the nasi. Everything was freshly prepared and served straight from the pan, so it was nice and hot. Definitely recommended. Although the first impression doesn't quite suggest it, you can also enjoy a delicious meal here.

LEKKER! :D Very tasty food, friendly staff and nice decorations. We had 2 menus that we could choose the ingredients for: sayur lodeh, sambal toreng tahu(amazing), kerrie boontjes, ayam pedis(citrus flavor), daging rendang with bami and nasi. All in all a really pleasant visit on our holiday!

I occasionally get food from Taste of Bali and it never disappoints me, always a nice atmosphere and cozy, the food is certainly tasty and they are very customer friendly

I often get a menu for home at taste of bali. Now my son turned 21 and we both thought it was a good idea to choose the catering of taste of bali. I made an appointment in the store and chose the dishes. Everything is possible, what a service. It was neatly delivered and prepared. 18 people had a good meal. Delicious food and well priced, got a tip from family. My wife and I took the menu option, available in small, medium and large, and large is really large :) , with several types of meat and vegetables. A rice table is also possible. From the street it looks like a takeaway restaurant, but behind the bar there are several tables, that is not easy to see from the outside

Brought delicious food for 4 people on King's Day. It tasted delicious, noodles, vegetables, egg and meat for a reasonable price, just warm it up in the microwave and definitely worth repeating.

Due to family circumstances, I was looking for a catering company that could provide an Indian rice table for 120 people in a short time. I ended up at Taste of Bali from Schagen. After visiting in person, I was spoken to by Ron Portier. After explaining what I wanted, a menu was immediately put together and delivery date and times were agreed. The menu consisted of: Nasi Kuning, Nasi Puti, a vegetable dish and 3 meat dishes. The food was delivered on time (distance was Schagen - Den Helder) and the warming containers were installed including plates and cutlery. The food was excellent and tasted like what we and our guests (120 people) were used to from the Moluccan kitchen. The reactions from our guests were great. We were asked several times which catering had been approached. The answer was of course Taste of Bali. Everything was picked up again at the agreed time. Quite a story, but I didn't want to deprive you of my experience with Taste of Bali. Once again Taste of Bali, thank you!

I thought the Roti was sublime. The chicken thigh was wonderfully tender, well cooked and nicely seasoned. This also applies to the potatoes and beans. This dish is highly recommended. The noodles and chicken satay were also approved. Just like the Bali Rames. Very happy with this Taste of Bali.

I found the food very tasteless and not spicy even though I asked for it, not authentic flavors, a pity it never tastes like the Dutch mouth, that is the biggest mistake you can make.

Catering, the extended version, ordered for 10 people. Delivered on time and complete with warming (au bain marie) containers. We had some of the spicy flavors, delicious! Pick up or eat on site, always good, just like it was from Anna Paulowna! Recommended for Asian (Indonesian) food.

Ordered a large Bali Rames menu. It was delicious!!

Delicious food in a special section, well separated from the takeaway section. We ate the Rames menus. The medium is a plate filled with 2 types of vegetables, 2 types of meat or chicken or vegetarian (of your choice), egg telor and satay skewer. The homemade sambal is also recommended. Friendly staff. Will definitely come back.

Delicious traditional Indonesian food at Taste of Bali! The flavors immediately brought us back to the beautiful adventures in Indonesia. Taste of Bali? Taste of Sh.t did not taste good, dishes on the menu cannot be ordered sold out. And this in a restaurant? How then is no clothing store that things are sold out. De gado gado is niet echt Indische maar een Hollandse variant met grote gesneden wortels en broccoli. Had geen idee dat in de sawa's in balie broccoli groeit. Ik ben zelf volbloed Indonesische ik heb dit nog nooit meegemaakt in Gado Gado. Niet echt Indische. Had het graag anders willen zien echt Indische onder ander met lontong.

Relatively quickly helped and received the food. I thought it was special that they didn't have several dishes from the menu. Food wasn't great, only the tempeh was really good. The tables are specially arranged with the counter. I also found the smell in the restaurant peculiar.

An oriental ambiance in itself, the temperature in the restaurant was cold. The open door was not allowed to close at our request; a small heater was turned on meters away. No prawn crackers or something like that as an appetizer. Wrong starter served. The restaurant area overlooks the back of the counter. Nice young ladies in the service; they really tried. Food was okay; have had better Indonesian food elsewhere (Djaya Makmur Alkmaar, Sampurna Amsterdam.

Great for takeaway but food is heated in a microwave. So not everything was in stock. No dessert menu.

Ze zijn verhuist naar Schagen. Het is meer gericht op afhaal dan een restaurant. Bepekte keuze aan drank voor wijn en fris dranken. Een aantal gerechten waaruit je kan kiezen was niet voorradig.(morgen weer). Geen dessert kaart. En tot slot je eten wordt opgewarmd in de magnetron. Hou het bij afhalen.

The food is really delicious, Unfortunately the portions are very small and therefore it is very expensive. 2 beers, 2 lompias (spring rolls) and 2x sate with rice or noodles just under 50€. As tasty as it was, unfortunately we weren't full.

Coincidentally, I walked past this shop and recognized the smell of delicious Indian food. Upon entering, I saw a well-known Nieuwedieper nyong Portier! I was given a private tour of this beautiful and spotless business. I ordered delicious bami semur, sweet and sour and prawn crackers and ate them at the table. The taste is as it should be... just like at home!

At 6:30 PM the roti was sold out, most of the vegetables were gone and even though I wanted it warm, it was cold. You expect different from a takeaway restaurant. The rendang was tough and did not fall apart, satay was dry. Too much star anise used, making it taste very bitter.

De prijzen zijn wederom gestegen en/of je hebt minder keuze. Zo jammer dit. Ze begonnen ooit in AP met redelijk betaalbare prijzen. Nu te duur voor wat je krijgt. De verhuizing/verbouwingskosten Schagen moet eruit.

After the move of Taste of Bali from Anna Paulowna to Schagen, I immediately ordered and tried it. The rave reviews made us very curious. The food could be picked up after 45 minutes. Once there, we were asked if it should be cold or lukewarm. The food was then put in the microwave. Special choice... Once we took it home, we still hoped for a tasty meal, but unfortunately the opposite was true. The chicken with the roti was spoiled, the pasty the same. The gado gado was particularly dry, tough, old and tasteless. We had to throw away the food. A huge shame and a waste of money. At 9:15 PM there is little left to pick up. So let's make a sandwich. It's a shame.

I had a Daging Semur sandwich and a risolles. That last one was fantastic. The sandwich was also tasty, but very boring. Just the meat and two slices of pickled gherkin. Dressing up the bun a little more would be nice. Other than that, nice.

Was already a fan of Anna Paulowna, and now in Schagen is absolutely great. Delicious fresh dishes and super friendly staff. During collection today, the staff had to get into the flow for a while, so we had to wait a few minutes, but that was really no problem. Give the owners and staff time to get used to the new location. While waiting we were rewarded with fresh spekkoek! 5 stars 🌟

Got 3 dishes here today for 50 euros, the roti (potato) is very sour as if it has been cooked in vinegar, we have Indian family and go to many Indian restaurants but find this really disappointing.
