The burger wasn't good, the fries weren't good either; the food was bad. There's a McDonald's across the street that's much better. The service and the location were fine, but they're not to blame for the terrible food.

Absolutely unfriendly staff (except of 1 lady). Burger cold, asked if it's normal and i got an arrogant "yes" and walked away. never seen such a behavior before... bad mood? stay at home please.

Absolutely disappointing. Coming to a country famous for waffles, I ordered a chicken waffle and was served a toasted croissant shaped like a waffle instead. When I pointed it out, they completely denied it. I’ve eaten both waffles and croissants my entire life—I know the difference. This was misleading and honestly a waste of money.

Best Dutch burger? I don't know who voted, but these are the worst burgers I've ever eaten. As for the service, the blonde waitress needs to review her manners.

We spontaneously decided to have lunch there and ordered the Caesar salad. Honestly, we couldn't even eat three leaves because it tasted so bitter and strangely sweet. I've eaten some truly disgusting food in my entire life, and we unfortunately had to leave it. The service and menu, however, were nice.

Came for lunch a couple of times while staying at the hotel so very convenient. Burgers are spectacular as are the Fries of Mine fries. If you drink beer, give Dancing Dolly a go. I liked it! Went very well with the burgers.

Me and my friend visited Ter Marsch & Co today. The food was amazing, really nice burgers and fries. I had the special burger, which was super yummy, and the truffle fries were delicious too. The elderflower lemonade was also really refreshing. Everything was going great until it came time to ask for the bill. We waited around 15 minutes after asking before it arrived. I even caught the waitress’s eye before she remembered, and she looked quite sulky and unhappy when she finally brought it over. We asked to split the bill, and she left us to work it out ourselves, taking another 5–10 minutes to come back. When the bill arrived, we noticed an extra charge for sauces, one mayonnaise and one sriracha, which we hadn’t been told about. If we’d known there was an extra cost, we wouldn’t have ordered them. I checked the menu and there was no mention of a charge for sauces. When we asked about it, the waitress seemed annoyed and went to get the manager. From the moment he approached, his attitude was rude and dismissive. We explained the situation, and he simply asked if we’d eaten all of the dip. When we said yes, he told us we had to pay for it. We tried to explain that it wasn’t about the cost, it was about not being informed, but he was extremely unprofessional. He eventually took the charge off, but made a sarcastic comment about how “€3 is so cheap and we can’t pay it.” The food was genuinely great, but the poor service and rude management completely ruined the experience. It’s such a shame because the kitchen team clearly know what they’re doing, but the front-of-house staff and management seriously let the place down. I won’t be recommending this restaurant to anyone.

We stopped in for a drink because the place looked so cool! We didn't order any food, but the tables around us had burgers and they looked really good. It's located in a hotel but it's a super cool spot and would go back.

🤢 Restaurant to flee, the cooks scratch their nose, hair, and put food directly in their mouths, and then come to touch our food, without taking the trouble to wash their hands of course! It’s disgusting. We canceled some dishes, and we left. 🤢 If you have allergies to certain foods, be careful as they do not seem to do.

Gotta be honest…. Not what’s it’s all cracked up to be. Supposedly they have the best burger in the Netherlands’s, I’m here to tell you, they must not have had much competition in this award. The burger was not bad, but you can find something in any town, US that is better. The burger was a little more medium rare than I’m comfortable with and the meat did not have much flavor. Might a suggest Burgee Meester if you’re looking for a proper burger. All in all I’d go 3.4-3.6 if I could. The fries were solid.

Across the Flower Market corridor, right on the corner, you'll find this burger place. The meat is delicious, as is the bread. The White Mama beer is delicious. The service is good, it's clean, and the staff is very friendly. 80s music plays.

The service was very good. The staff was very friendly. They let me charge my phone and were very attentive to our order. But the 3 stars are for the food. The fries were super crispy and delicious, but the burgers didn't impress us. Especially considering the price, we expected more. It has a good atmosphere and a cocktail bar that's perfect for just going for a drink.

This place is great, very good location, excellent facilities, very colorful decor, service is a 10 for the waiters and waitresses, friendly, helpful people attentive to every detail, the food is excellent, good value for money, the burgers are very large, you don't need to accompany them with fries unless you eat a lot, or with some fries you can share between 2 or 3 people. I recommend 100%.

The burgers here are truly outstanding – juicy, flavorful, and among the best I’ve had in Amsterdam and also in Europe. The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming, and the staff really makes the difference. Special thanks to the waitress from Calabria :) whose energy and smile made the experience unforgettable. The sweet potato fries is must try! I tried the 2024 award winning burger and the rest ate the previous winner. For mine, I can say it’s good but not mind-blowing yet. They said theirs is nice but the bacon is a bit too salty. I think you can’t go wrong with either and just decide which one you prefer by looking at the burger ingredients. They can cook the patty until medium rare and that’s the only way to enjoy a good burger. One of my party ate the chicken burger and he said the thigh meat was tender. Funny thing was the inclusion of bean sprouts inside!

Not tasty... We took toast with avocado and salmon, the salmon was kind of stale, the avocado was sour. The Caesar was also not very good, the chicken was like yesterday's dried out. And the potatoes are not the tastiest in Amsterdam

We went for dinner last Friday, on the recommendation of a colleague of one of us. We had the honor and privilege of eating the very last sandwiches from the chef who created them before he left the restaurant after 10 years. We consider ourselves truly fortunate and happy to have had such a wonderful dinner in this beautiful and well-kept restaurant, with its kind and competent staff.

Thats my favorite burger place. However, I feel sad about last visit. I came to have a dinner dozens of times. Ordered a negroni without looking into the menu, nobody noticed me that they offer their own type of negroni. It was not even near a negroni , it was gin tonic like cocktail and I did not wanted to drink. They say you must pay this its on you to check the menu, I would expect a better service in this restaurant. Cause the meal is great. If they would offer me another drink, I would not be that unsatisfied..

Loved my time here, it was delectable. Would definitely recommend getting the “Big Bus Daiquiri”… best alcoholic beverage I’ve ever had in my life.

You can't get much worse than that in the Netherlands. It was pretty quiet. After being ignored for 15 minutes, I walked away. They sat at the table next to us, but they walked right past us. Don't eat there. Worse than bad.

I was in Amsterdam and wanted to eat the best burger there. So I came here. The burger was really good! Really, pretty good! There are just a few minor things... The meat was cooked medium-rare - yes. But: It still wasn't as juicy as it could have been! Maybe they could work on the quality of the meat or the fat content. Still, I can recommend the burger! But: The price for a burger there is really way too high.

I’ve visited Ter Marsch&Co. several times, and I usually order the Gozira along with a beer. The food is consistently good, and the atmosphere is really nice. Most of the time, the service is fast, friendly, and attentive, though when the place gets really busy, service can slow down a bit or be less focused. Still, I definitely recommend it and will be coming back!

such nice waiters/waitresses!!!! they were all really humorous and funny. we lost a ring and they also helped us to look for it. the drinks were nice too. when I get back to amsterdam I would totally stop there again!! <3

This place deserves a better rating than the 4-ish score it currently has. The two burgers we had were absolutely delicious. We asked for rare, and they were cooked exactly as requested. The staff was efficient but also gave us plenty of space. Overall, a great experience and a really nice spot to enjoy a burger in one of Amsterdam’s busier districts.

The many burgers that have been named the best in the Netherlands/Benelux offer a taste experience that goes beyond the usual standard burgers. From premium meats to spicy sauces and exotic toppings, there's something for even the most adventurous. Both the 2024 and 2020 winners were extremely delicious! The fries are also second to none. Overall, it's not cheap, but in terms of value for money, it's a better choice than a burger at the Golden M. The shop was beautifully designed, but the chairs were rather uncomfortable and everything was a bit cramped. The service was competent and friendly, and the food arrived quickly. Overall, though, it's definitely worth a visit just for the burgers!

The meal was okay, but for the price, you'd expect more. The menu and the stickers on the window display awards for best burgers for many items, but it's not necessarily noticeable. The restrooms are clean, and the staff are friendly.

I'm a big fan of basic food done well. Unfortunately I didn't read the menu properly before sitting down, and the burgers here were all too fancy for my peasant palate. I managed to find one that looked decent with a few ingredient removals, and it was pretty tasty. They also correctly didn't include the things I asked to be removed, which isn't always a given at some places. The chips were fantastic, too. Friendly and helpful service. Nice corner location to sit at and watch the world go by.

Service +++, top decor down to the little details of the restrooms, and the burgers wooooah! The best ever eaten and I weigh my words. We had a great time and the fries are good (as Belgians) with a truffle sauce that is simply incredible. If you are hesitant, don't think twice and go for it.

They announce the closure of the kitchen at 22:30, but 22:15 refused to take an order and my kid stayed hungry because of that. The Manager didn’t help. No efforts were made to help with the situation. Never again

We were neatly assigned a table on a busy King's Day, which, as the host himself indicated, is not nice. We were put at a bar, as the only option at the time of entry. Then a minute later we see that a table becomes available, we sit here so that we can have a good seat for dinner. Then the same host comes and we are told that people are waiting outside (there were no people behind us when we entered). I indicated that we (like other customers) would also like to sit better, we received the comment that the table has been "reserved" for people outside. After stating my argument, the host again asked for an explanation, and we walked away in disbelief of his response. In my opinion, every customer should be treated equally. Based on the other reviews say the food is probably good, this is purely about the service.

Nope. Another influencer recommendation that left nothing to be desired. Me and my friend were seated at the entrance area, so I can’t say anything about the setting. Atmosphere was not pleasant. The waiters were unreadable. I felt like I was targeted as a Black customer. They were dismissive and I felt uncomfortable. Maybe they were overworked. The day I went the pace was not jumping, and yet me and my friend were slyly told to finish up. The food was nothing special. I would not recommend.

It was okay, a bit pricey and the burgers fall apart a bit. Not a good offer for vegetarians and vegans. Tasteful but convincing.

They are not the most allergy friendly place. I appreciated that they had a list of all the allergens in each of their dishes, but we ultimately had to leave as all of their dishes included either eggs or fish, two quite common allergens. So this is less of a food review and more of a warning to others with allergies (or restrictions/preferences for that matter). For what it's worth, the hostess was very kind and did her best to help us 🙂

I love burgers, so I couldn't avoid this place in Amsterdam. But despite their many awards for best burgers, I wasn't entirely convinced. Their burgers are good for sure, but the best I've tasted? No. But good atmosphere, and a good selection of food and drink for every taste.

Visitamos aquí recientemente, ya que nos encantan las hamburguesas (que no) y estábamos de paso y con hambre. Tenía la hamburguesa holandesa y mi marido el santo molido. Todo lo que puedo decir es que eran bastante promedio. Sí, hay una gran variedad de ingredientes en ellos pero no me dejé sorprender por ninguno de ellos. El bollo de hamburguesa era duro como una roca en lugar de tostado y las patatas fritas eran muy grasosas y sin sabor. Sin condimento parecía y tampoco había sal en la mesa. Tienes que pagar extra si quieres papas fritas, así que por 17 euros esperarías una bestia de hamburguesa, no es el caso. Suficiente sí, pero esperaría más. Tampoco hay menú para niños, así que el nuestro acaba de compartir una hamburguesa y una porción de patatas fritas. Las bebidas también son súper caras. 5 . 90 para una coca de 330 ml. ¿Nos visitaría de nuevo, probablemente no. He tomado mejores hamburguesas de una furgoneta en Francia por una fracción del precio de estas.

Service was good, the gentlemen were friendly. But I've never had such disgusting fries. Fries were hard and a lot of oil, just burnt. Mayo was too sweet. This honestly just gave me a stomach ache. I have never had such disgusting fries. My girlfriend got sick. Not recommended. And the restaurant smells quite bad. Inside I was scratching my head.
