An interesting discovery and an excellent place to have vegan dinner for cheap in the city center!

Essential vegan comfort food. Healthy, hearty, simple, and perfectly spiced.

It smells delicious right from the start. Ordered a Jamaican plate and Jamaican ginger beer. Both delicious! Friendly service. The tables are placed close together, leaving very little space between the chairs.

Food was greasy and not that tasty overall. The price is steep for what you get. I will not return nor recommend.

A great vegan spot in Amsterdam that was quiet when we arrived for a midweek lunch but pretty full as we left. I tried the roti wrap which was delicious and my son got the salt fish plate - again, delicious and interesting too! Would love to go again...

Food was impeccable and the service was excellent. I went for the tonkatsu bowl and a coconut milkshake. The coconut milkshake is the yummiest drink I’ve had in a while, it is a must try!

Had the jamican curry and i loved it. It has great flavour and i loved the plant based chicken.

The food is completely plant-based and business-like. The okonomiyaki, tempeh burgers, and Jamaican dishes are absolutely delicious. The drinks—mango lassi, coconut, and cashew shakes—are also incredibly tasty. It's a bit noisy for the small space, but the amazing food makes it worth it, especially since you can also sit outside.

Unfortunately, we sat for 20 minutes, the card was placed on our table without a word, and then nobody else came.

Looking for a nice, cool, good, hearty, and vegan restaurant? Go for it! Admittedly, the decor might make you want to turn back, but honestly, don't let that put you off. I'll gladly go back. Thanks for a great time.

I truly cannot express in words how much I love this little vegan restaurant. The prices are great for the fantastic food, everything is delicious and flavor and there are many different options. Service is great!

I love coming to this restaurant. Everything is so tasty! I have brought non vegan friend and they also loved it.

This is a local eatery that is not big in ambience, but it has good flavor. I ordered the Jamaican platter and it filled me up. They do not offer tap water and the tables are a bit sticky. There are also some fruit flies that you can see in the restaurant. Service can be a bit slow. If you are in a rush, just ask the waiter how long it might take before you place an order. The house made ginger beer was delicious. It's worth at least a one time quick visit. Don't expect fancy! They take credit card.

Great little unassuming gem; a bit hard to find. All 3 entrees we ordered were delicious. Two small nitpicks: menus were clip-boarded very-wrinkled paper, and our waiter spoke extremely quietly.

We had to wait an hour for our food and drinks, and then the waiter told us there were no burgers. Inattentive service.

What a wonderful experience. The food was incredibly fresh and tasted fantastic. The plate with the fried snacks and the rice with a slice of lemon was especially highly recommended. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed and very cozy. You can tell from everything that the food here is cooked for the guests with great care and attention. We enjoyed ourselves immensely here and will certainly be back soon for another meal.

Very good place, though long wait for food and no air-conditioning, otherwise good atmosphere and good food, i ordered the jamaican plate i forgot what it's called but it had really good healthy feeling rice, cooked veggies with chicken, great side salad, and some interesting fried banana, had the sauce on side - asked for it especially because I didn't want it spicy, i recommend having it on the side, it's a good to great place, some in between

Complements to the amazing Chef. The flavors, texture, and colors all came together on my bean burger, rice, and salad. Each bite was a walk in heaven. The surprise crisp burger exterior and smooth bean inside, topped with a delicious salsa of sorts. Next to the texture of the rice, maybe it's rice like. The shredded fresh lettuce, carrots, greens, cucumbers on top of hummus, with sprinkles of pomegranates, and some pickled beets, each bite magic. Well thought out. This was a lovely vegan welcome to Amsterdam. Dank u well. Eet Smakelijk

Let me start by saying that my boyfriend, who eats fish and meat, was in shock at how good the VEGAN food tasted!!! The atmosphere was so chill. THE food there was close to perfection, everything was on point- seasonings, flavours, portions aand most importantly you could taste that it was made with lots of love. Highly recommend!!! Some of the best vegan food I’ve ever eaten. It’s Japanese and Jamaican fusion and works amazingly well. We visited during an absolute sweltering heatwave and the staff were friendly and the service was good. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! :-)

I ordered the "Vegan Lust" dish and sparkling water (250ml) and although it was okay, the rice had no salt and was reheated cold, in the end it cost €30.60, nothing like the €10-20 thing in general.

I ordered Jamaica Plate based on the waiter's recommendation. The tables were clean but sticky, perhaps they need to be wiped with a different cleaning product. There are power outlets available to charge phone, as well as free wifi and clean restroom.

The food was amazing! Very creative plates and super lekker food combination. The service was very nice, not pushing the clients, very respectful. So, we loved it! Totally recommendable!

Tasty and flavorful food—even for non-vegans. They offer plenty of protein and side options to customize your meal. We had the crispy chicken wrap and the chicken karaage, and both were excellent. We’d love to come back and try more!

Nice lunch spot. Good variety of food choices. My wife got the Japanese pancake, and I got the vegan platter. The platter was the better of the two, but they were both good. My only complaint was that they forgot about out drinks, and they did not arrive until our food was almost completed.

Small family-run place. Service a bit slow, but they were very accommodating to another customer with severe diet restrictions. We ordered crispy roti roll which was fantastic, and a rice plate with vegan chicken, also delicious.

The selection and the food were good. The sticky table and the general cleanliness were off-putting – you wouldn't want to look in the kitchen. What can you do? It's difficult to find vegan food in Amsterdam.

Lovely little spot with homey cuisine that’s an interesting fusion to such singular cuisines. The stir fry medley was a nice and simple but felt one-noted in terms of seasoning. The roti wrap was similar in that regards but also had the troubles of the wrap itself working against the filling since it didn’t have the usual pliability a roti has. The patties were really delightful!

Absolute hidden gem!!! Couldn't believe this place was vegan, the food was so good I questioned it. Really wonderful fusion food. I wish we had came here before our last night so that we could have gone again! Do make sure to visit an ATM before you come here though as it is cash only. But great spot, absolutely recommend

I visited this amazing hidden gem many years ago (pre-covid!) and still dream about the Jerk chicken and natto dish I had back then. Truly one of the most memorable meals I’ve had anywhere in the world. I asked Gemini if it still existed and was so pleasantly surprised to learn that it is around and thriving. Such a great and authentic place. For good Caribbean food, this is the place to be. And all vegan! Which perfectly aligns with the positive vibes of this culture. Only downside is almost all food is deep fried, and when you leave all your clothes and hair will smell like fryers. Service is slow so keep that in mind!

A very little and cozy restaurant in Amsterdam, perfect for vegan food lovers! The sushi was amazing and I remember the little cheesecakes, one of the best vegan desserts I've ever had. 🌱 The staff was calm and friendly and the interior was cozy. Perfect for dinner dates. My favourite restaurant in the Netherlands, let alone Amsterdam. All vegan food with interesting dishes in a pleasant, quiet street away from the noise of the city. I recommend the crispy roti wrap, delicious and a good portion size.

I had this on my list for a long while to visit. It definitely did not disappoint! The food, which is the most important thing was brilliant, I had a delicious curry with plantain and some samosas. The decor is pretty old and worn out, it gives very much old cafe vibes which can be intimidating initially, particularly when empty, but after a while, the relaxing music and great staff make you feel like you're waiting in a family run bar in the carribean! The outside also makes it hard to spot. I'll definitely be back.

Found online but very hard to find as no big board of name and in a small street. But once u find it you cant eat from anywhere else. Very delicious food. Its vegan and its soooo yum. They make fresh so it takes time to receive but taste is wonderful. I went and tried all dishes sweet potato fries, vegan plate with temph, tofu salad, Roti wrap and coconut water are my favourites and I recommend whoever visit must go there. It makes you full as well.

Don’t be fooled by the nondescript appearance from the outside. The food and service is top notch. The samosas were a vibrant new take on the dish that I’d never seen before, bite size, crunchy outside chewy inside, yet the flavor remained refreshingly authentic. The crispy roti wrap was similar in the sense where I could taste the homage to the traditional rotis I’ve had, but the style and flavors were fresh and modern. The “chicken” inside was authentic tasting and moist and crispy. I took one star off atmosphere only because they could probably use a refresher, as this was the only thing deterring me from trying the restaurant sooner, and I wish I had. I love the quirky character of the design as it feels warm and unique, but I feel like even a small renovation could go a long way. Or maybe keep it the same so the place doesn’t become too popular?😜 But I’m splitting hairs on what’s already a solid restaurant. Will definitely be back to try more dishes. Highly recommend for vegans and non vegans alike.

My girlfriend and I came here with high expectations given the reviews. I'll start by saying that our experience was terrible. The service was nonexistent, with a waitress who barely spoke English. We were made to wait 10 minutes to be seated, 20 minutes to take our order, and another 20 minutes to be served, and there were only four other diners in the dining room. The food was unbalanced, so much so that we didn't even finish our course. The prices are reasonable for the city, but I feel like I wasted my money. (The bathroom was very dirty.)
