A small restaurant with more of a snack bar feel, but there are a few places to sit. The food is excellent! It's freshly prepared and delicious. A definite recommendation for anyone looking for something vegan!

Terribile experience. We were there and waited so much to Order and much more to receive the food. When it arrived, we had to wait many minutes before having cuttleries.. Food was for my taste not good. The rice and the vegeblese really bad. The problem is that we saw other people around us all waiting since endless time and at some point the waiter went to them and said sorry we are close the food is finished.

Chilled Caribbean fused Japanese vibes with a large choice of tasty 100% vegan dishes. All cooked with time so don’t be in a rush. Plan ahead. WiFi too which is a bonus.

At first, I was a little scared. The tables were a little sticky and the waiter seemed dour. But when I saw and tasted their dishes, I understood the customers’ enthusiasm for this establishment. EXCELLENT ! As for the waiter, he finally laughed when I asked him to pass on my marriage proposal to the person who had prepared the dish 😂.

This place is a marvel. I was delighted with the fusion of flavors and how well achieved all the vegan products were. The portions are generous and I don't find it expensive for Amsterdam prices.

I was quite hesitant to go for dinner to this place. But actually this was one of the most exciting food experiences I have ever had! The unusual combo of Japanese and Caribbean cuisine was such a pleasure to discover! The dishes had so much soul in them, it was incredibly delicious! Nice menu, a lot of choice! I left satisfied and inspired after having dinner here ❤️

We were looking for a vegan place to eat in Amsterdam and we found it, the location is modest but the food is good.

I ordered a burger with fries, the fries were really good 😊, the burger also, worth the price. The ambient in the restaurant it’s really nice, like the mix between Asian/African decoration to it. The service was fine.

Dilicious! Had the tonkatsu bowl and some wraps. Very good. Ambiente is fine but you sit quite narrow to each other.

every time i go to this place it makes me realize how vegan food is as tasty (in this case even tastier) than normal food. i got the jackfruit and it was soooooo goooddd!!! also the plate is super complete and they serve big portions. highly recommended this is a gem in the heart of amsterdam!!!

I've had Jamaican food before and this doesn't come close. The waiter took our orders while chewing on his own meal. The dish that was placed on my take was dirty and spotted, but the nice waiter was quick to respond. My friend had paprika allergy yet the food still had green peppers. Worst part for me was the lack of ventilation. Not only did i have to shower immediately once home, but washing the clothes once was insufficient to get the frying odor out. I'm in disbelief at the squandered potential.

What a surprise, we found that place by pure chance and we were so pleased and happy!!! The smoothies are mindblowing!! We had the gyoza and the dish with the banana blossoms and it was so good!! For desserts, we had the açai bowl and the brownie and it was amazing!! The description of the dishes on the menu is a bit short and we didn't know what to expect but like we said it was great!! We'll come back!!xxx

I ate here a few times. Food was very nice, but the place makes clothes and hair smell of cooking oil. The whole place smells even if you sit near window. They really need to get extraction fans. The staff always looked unhappy.

Quando sono arrivato, fuori c'era freddo e pioveva, dentro non c'era il caldo che speri di trovare. Ho pranzato con la giacca. Mi sono accorto subito che il locale era intriso di olio fritto, forse per questo motivo la porta d'ingresso non la potevo chiudere del tutto?! I 3 piatti che ho scelto erano tutti molto buoni, ma quando sono uscito i mie vestiti sapevano fortemente di fritto. Io effettivamente non mi sono aiutato, perchè ordinando gli spring roll e l'hamburger vegano che aveva le patatine fritte, ho mangiato troppa roba fritta. Consiglio: mettete meno roba fritta a menu, aggiungete una kappa di aspirazione, fate qualcosa per rimuovete il fritto dalla stanza.

The best vegan BLT I’ve had! It was out of this world! I will be going back for sure! My husband also liked his Tonkatsu Bowl a lot too! Atmosphere is good, we were just there at a random time of day and the only people there.

best vegan burger I‘ve ever had!

The restaurant doesn't look like anything inside or out. Greeted by - to put it kindly - a very listless employee, we ordered “vegan plate” and “gyoza plate”. In addition, the menus were (not exaggeratedly) very rancid and simply dirty pieces of paper on a clipboard. The taste of the food was quite good, but it was far from the best vegan food I've ever had. Anyone who has already been around a bit can confirm that - contrary to many reviews here - there are many other restaurants that are much better. Conclusion: the food is impressive, but that's it. Wouldn't come here as a vegan.

This place is amazing! The food is the best I had in Amsterdam. Would recommend the Ital-Vital plate and coconut milkshake.

Some of the food is delicious and some is just ordinary. But overall, for vegan food, this is very good. Being in the middle of Amsterdam, it makes it very easy for us as vegans to find food. The gyoza is delicious.

I came here in October. The food was really nice - although less than a fusion than I expected. The service was pretty poor - I felt like we shouldn't be there.

This is one of my favorite vegan restaurants in Amsterdam, so I felt like dedicating a few words, the place is unique and reminds me a lot of one of those classic local Caribbean restaurants, But! The service is practically non-existent, the waiters at most say hello, as there is no real service, the place is a bit expensive and it could be and do so much more, by the way the philosophy need to be support it and the style of the owner is TOP !

Nice atmosphere, selection and taste of the food was very good, gladly again. You had to allow some time for the service, but otherwise it was great.

The food was delicious (open bun with avocado, next to it: lentils and spinach). Everything super seasoned and fresh. I will definitely come back to taste other things. Thank you that it was ready quickly too (I didn't have much time because of a concert and indicated this). It's not often that I leave feeling satisfied, but here I did.

Food was good. Interesting mix of Japanese and Carribean. I got the vegan lust plate which felt a little more Japanese but was good nevertheless.

This spot has a real homely vibe. The samosas were nice and I had fried plantains as well. The cheesy sticks (not seen in the pic) were good, but I didn't quite like that they use the same brown sauce for the samosas as well. Making those two side dishes taste almost the same because that sauce is really predominant. - no wifi for guests - they toss nori flakes on all the 3 side dishes I ordered and I have the feeling that they just toss it on almost every dish + love that it's all vegan and I want to come back to try out the main dishes

The food was so so good!! I had the gyoza plate and spring rolls. The atmosphere was pretty fun and we enjoyed our time there.

A very cozy place and where the menu is quite original (vegan Japanese-Jamaican fusion). Typical Amsterdam prices and acceptable quality (this happens sometimes with vegan food if there is something already prepared). The teas made by them are highly recommended. Good place.

Very touching, lovely restaurant. I would have liked to give a higher rating, but the food (except for the good cassava fries) really tasted like nothing. Very unfortunate.

Dirty sticky table, it was very quiet but the staff took a long time to come out of the kitchen, also before he came to take the order, burger with sweet potato fries, the last one was greasy and not tasty, much later the burger came, hmmmmm not tasty food desired very much impersonal, not even asked afterwards if you enjoyed it, so first time and last time!

Terrazen Centre, within a 6min walk from the central station, might be my favourite restaurant of all time. Entering the small building, the colourful furniture and wall decorations as well as the rocksteady music vibes from the disco model JBL speaker already promise you a laidback and vibrant experience. The friendly staff fits the atmosphere well, meaning that you might have to wait a little longer to order or to get your drinks, but Terrazen is not meant to be experienced in a rush or impatient mood. The chalkboard or clipboard menu offers a wide range of exciting Japanese or Jamaican inspired dishes that are impossible to experience in one visit. The ramen I ordered here the first time is unmatched, I haven't found any other ramen in other establishments that was as flavourful as this one. Unfortunately it was always unavailable during my next few visits. Which on the other hand is a good thing, otherwise I would have never tried their dragon sushi roll, Jamaican plate, crispy roti roll or okonomiyaki. Piece by piece exquisite dishes that you have to come back for. One notably good side dish is the jackfruit karaage, which makes you yearn for more. Even though the food is high in greasy or fried ingredients, it is a journey of flavours and textures unlikely to find in other places. If you are looking for a sophisticated and luxurious dining experience with a quick and skilful service you should save that for another time and instead go for this low-key, but vibrant and inspiriting experience that is a guaranteed pleasure for your tastebuds.

First saw them on TV or something. A Jamaican guy and his Japanese wife open a vegan restaurant in Amsterdam? This was one of the first places I wanted to visit, and it did not disappoint!! It's small, it's a family affair, and it is an absolute gem! I'm just gonna post pics of their menu. Pictured is the Gyoza plate, and I got the Jamaican plate to go.

Hosts are great, very chill atmosphere, food was delicious (had a spicy- sweet “chicken” with rice and vegetables), and coconut milkshake. Servings are great, and I eat a lot. Only downside is that the place is really small (as most of the places in Amsterdam), but luckily we sat outside 😁

Delicious food, plenty of choices, all of them sounded delicious. We had Jamaican curry and the vegan plate. Sadly they don't serve desserts anymore, but we were happy nonetheless. The staff was very friendly although it was packed. The place is small and looks more like an Imbiss. We are crazy hungry people, so the portions could have been bigger, but we would go back anytime! Probably Amsterdam's best restaurant. One of a kind food. Maybe not to everyone's taste, but definitely different from the boring sandwiches that are sold all around in cafés

Enjoyed the Jamaican plate. Healthy and nutritious feed at a reasonable price. Groovy vibes in the restaurant with reggae music playing. It's a bit of a hole in the wall with hand painted art on the walls - love it! Service was slow - the waiter was a bit inefficient. But food came out fairly quick. Cash only.

A disappointing experience in every way (we are vegan). We had the vegan lust and the dragonroll. Basically just tasteless fried stuff. The setting of the restaurant…. It's almost a shame. The cards are ten years old, they are torn, creased, stained and above all no longer up to date (some dishes are crossed out with a pen!). I don't understand the ratings from customers who gave very good reviews of this restaurant. For my part, I do not recommend it, there are much better vegan restaurants in Amsterdam.

Saw this place on youtube and was dissapointed. The waitress seemed so blasted out of this galaxy so high, really low energy and not the "happy vibes" that owner mentioned in the video. As he came to order i clearly mentioned i wanted the "Ramen" there was a chalkboard and it had the menu selection written up. Apparently they didnt have Ramen, he never indicated that nor did he ask if i wanted to order any food as my friend had ordered the jamaican plate (which tasted great) and drinks, his order came and he had already finished his food, other guests had been served and then the waitress asked "have you ordered anything"? He seemed so high which is fitting for a jamaican restaurant but i was frustrated by the situation and in a rushed mood i just asked for something which was not to my liking but i assume the dish was well made. It was the tokonomiyaki and maybe i should have asked some questions but service seemed incapable of doing the simplest host service and i found out its extremely sweet. In hindsight i shouldve ordered the jamaican plate but we wanted to share our dishes but my friend was hungry and finished his dish, wanting to try something new i didnt wanna order the same. Prices were fair

The one star reviews almost scared me away. I’m glad they didn’t. I had the Jamaican plate and it was delicious. I ate here many years ago and was happy to see that it was still around during my most recent visit. Note: the staff can get a bit overwhelmed, it seemed like there were only two people working and about a dozen customers, so prepare to wait a bit

Probably the best vegan food in Amsterdam. If you're vegan and you're visting Amsterdam and reading this, you HAVE to come here. Come here even if you're not. The decor and things are a little dated. They are super nice, but ordering and service is a little relaxed. But don't let that dissaude you.

Unique menu, everything vegan, which is great. Tons of different kinds of dishes. Service could be a bit faster but that’s no dealbreaker.

When ordering, we asked the waiter for details about the food and drinks. He told us he was new and didn't know. We asked him what Fritz Soda was, he didn't know. He told us he had some diet coke left. So we ordered two from him, and he served us two coconuts. We told him that was not what we ordered. He told us yes, and that we were going to have to pay them even though we hadn't touched them. We told him we didn't want to pay for something we didn't ask for. He brought the coconuts back to the kitchen, and another waiter came to tell us that the chef refused to serve us and that we had to leave. A word of advice: teach your servers to know their job and the products you offer!

What a great place to get your nourishment! Very welcoming and with a truly unique menu. The best blend on Ital Japanese cuisines. 100% vegan. 100% delicious! We ate to the sweet sounds of Ansel Collins' Nuclear Weapon and the legendary Toots Hibbert. Very recommended! Irie.

A lovely small vegan restaurant with some delicious dishes. Staff was friendly and we got our food and drinks fast. We had the Jamaican Plate, the Ital Vital Plate, Cassava fries, Plantain Fries, 2x Mango Juice, Coconut Milkshake and a Ginger Beer for a total of €75. I found the portion sizes of the main courses to be pretty big! But in a good way, love a good full plate of soul food. Everything tasted delicious, the only thing i’d say is the plantain fries were pretty simple. But we had a great dinner.

Tastes good here! Quite expensive, as is unfortunately the case everywhere in Amsterdam. But the taste is really very good. Many dishes that you rarely see in vegan restaurants. Yummy!

Amazingly good. Exceeded my expectations. I ordered the lust Vegan with a side of spring rolls. My friend ordered the Jamaican Plate. We sampled each other foods and everything was delicious. Perfect seasonings, perfect flavors and texture. The star of my lust vegan plate was the vegan bacon. Now I know I haven’t had real bacon in about 3 years but to me this vegan bacon was spot on. I brought me back to what bacon use to taste like. Anyways, I digress but this place is spectacular and you’re going to love it , I promise .
