Thai Company Restaurant in Amsterdam in Kinkerbuurt

Ordered food, waited 2.5 hours without any message. The delivery person finally arrived, the entire trunk of the scooter containing just one soup with all my dishes that my family and I had been waiting for. Called the restaurant and they only say you will get your money back. No other solution to urgently provide my family with food. Ridiculously bad service & I will never order from here again!!!!!!

I have been ordering here for years and it remains the best Thai restaurant I know. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and of top quality. In addition, the staff is always friendly!! Everything was delicious again this time. Absolutely recommended!✨✨

I ordered food with them, It should have areived 30-50 minutes. After 1 hour 20 I called. They say it is very busy and it will take more time. When I asked how much more they say about an hour more. Really 2:20 for 2 dishes? They did not applologise, nothing. I asked for cancelation and refund. They said They are to busy to do it... I said it was unacceptable and asked again to cancel. The lady said that she will. Two and a half hours later I received a notifocation that my order was delivered. Which is not true! I naver got it! And still till no money refund... This is unbelivable. No food, no money, much time wasted on communicating, zero output.

I ordered nmr. 45 Kai phad memuang. It was amazing. I was expecting a much higher rating on google so I am surprised. That’s why I think they deserve this 5 stars from me even more. The waitress was also really attentive and friendly. 10/10

I recently ate at Funky Thai for the first time, and what an experience! Finally, I ate Thai food in the Netherlands the way it should really be. The flavors were authentic, rich, and perfectly balanced. Additionally, we received excellent service: friendly staff and a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. It was so good, in fact, that I ordered home again that same week, and it certainly didn't disappoint then either! For anyone who truly loves Thai cuisine: this is a recommendation you won't want to miss.

Just been there. We were assigned a large table, and the lady wearing a headscarf said she would clean it for us. A group of five were sitting at a small table and asked if they could sit there, and the lady wearing a headscarf agreed. We didn't say anything because another table became available. The lady told us we could sit there. No problem, another lady without a headscarf came and made us stand up because she'd just received a phone reservation. Well, sorry, this is anything but customer-friendly. You can't just let people sit, then get up and give them away for a second time. Especially the way it was said is absolutely unacceptable. Worst service ever!

Fully Halal Thai restaurant in Amsterdam. Food is nice, tasty and authentic, but feels like it could have a bit more of that "wok-hei". Atmosphere is nice, you can talk with others in the restaurant as it is not too loud. However, their pin machine is broken, which is not too bad as there is ATM next door!

For 35 euros, a meal for one person was delivered. Tasteless, 4 shrimp, sticky rice, and the satay without sauce. Shame on you.

Had it delivered to my home, it was a sight to behold and the taste was downright tasteless. I will never order from here again.

Less than zero. Ordered the food over thuisbezorg, 2.5 hours later got no food, no answers on the phone, absolutely no information. For over 1.5 hours it was showing that the order is being delivered. No updates, no answers. Horrible customer service, should not be trusted at all.

We had the fried rice with beef, but the beef was tough. The rice wasn't good. I'm very sorry, but it's not worth a second try. The service is also terrible. The spring rolls were good, though!

We had a delicious meal at Funky Thai. The food is fresh, well-seasoned, and you can taste the care and love behind the food. We chose the Pad Thai with shrimp and the chicken with cashew nuts – both dishes were excellently prepared, and the portions were just right. The staff is friendly, relaxed, and attentive. Thanks to Aya for the warm service. The atmosphere is modern and stylish, yet cozy and warm. You can tell the team really goes the extra mile to give guests a pleasant experience. The price-quality ratio is excellent. In short, highly recommended for anyone in Amsterdam craving good Thai food, or just looking for a nice place to eat together without rushing. We will definitely be back.

Reasonably tasty food but the table was sticky and not cleaned.

I ordered food and waited for more than 3 hours. The food never arrived until they closed. If you can't deliver you shouldn't accept orders.

Nearly 3 HOURS after the order was made it was finally delivered. Had to call 4 times and got various updates. Not worth the waiting. If you like just carbs and fat, enjoy. And bag of kroepoek for 4,95 is a complete rip off. If it is too busy, just don’t take new orders. This was a complete shit show in any possible way.

We ordered phad thai which came two hours later than promised, it was dry and not warm. All together a low quality experience.

The food was delicious! The restaurant has a beautiful interior and looks hygienic. The flavors are authentic, like being transported to Thailand—super delicious! The staff (Lina) provided excellent service, and the chefs deserve a huge compliment. Definitely recommended!

Indeed, the food looks great, and most of it tastes good too. But when I once took leftovers of the soup home, I found a metallic wire inside !!!! ⚠️⚠️⚠️ my mom actually pulled it out of her mouth. I contacted the owner back then, showed him photos (I still have them), but I didn’t want to post them publicly to avoid causing inconvenience. It was clearly from a metallic pan/wok cleaner. Recently, I gave the place another try, and it was an even worse experience .. the food wasn’t as tasty as before. That’s why I finally decided to write a review, after holding back for a long time. Back then, I didn’t write anything because I’m not here just to roast a place. But honestly, it’s not fair to pay money and end up with such bad experiences. That being said, I did like the soup and the main dish, they tasted good. The appetizers were fine, and the price is fair too.

What a mess. Total chaos and no cooperation among the staff. The waitress acts like she's forced to work there. The drinks fridge is somewhere on the other side of Amsterdam, so it takes ages for the waitress to return. When you finally get your food after a very long wait, it's incomplete. The dish came without rice. After asking 30 times, it finally arrived. It's almost uncomfortable to eat there, the staff are so grumpy. I'll never go back. It's a shame because the food tastes great.

I have had takeaway here before but the quality has gone downhill, just bad! I ordered the massaman curry and it was very watery, normally this and a normal curry are a bit thicker. The taste was nowhere to be found and there was more potato in it than vegetables or chicken. There was also no rice, apparently that has to be ordered separately. That was not clear. There used to be cashew nuts in it, now apparently peanuts (which are very dominant in the food). I do not recommend this Thai!

This was my first time at a Thai restaurant. We went for the chicken rice with vegetables and cashew nuts, which tasted sweet and was very tasty. We also had phadthai with shrimp and chicken! As a starter we had the fried dumplings, which were served with a delicious sauce! The food is comparable to eazywok but taken to a level higher! The pinocolada was also nice and creamy, too bad there was little choice for desserts Price and quality I give it a mark of 8!

Nice staff, very tasty food, I give it not 5, but 4 for the lack of non-spicy salads. It would be great to add at least one non-spicy salad to the menu as an alternative. I liked everything else overall.

The atmosphere is nice, sweet girls who work there, sometimes lost track a bit, but they were very helpful. For a quick bite this is a good place, not for a long dinner or after dinner. This is because it is quite small and you are almost on top of each other. I went for the fried rice with chicken, this was okay. Maybe try a different main course next time. The starter mix was very tasty and the sauces too. There was little choice in terms of soft drinks. But price quality ratio is good.

Had food taken away. Home after 10-15 minutes and the food was still warm. Taste was perfect, well balanced. Portions were sufficient for a big eater. A big 10 from me

I recently visited a fantastic Thai restaurant Funky Thai and I can definitely recommend it! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a pleasant evening. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The menu offered a great selection of authentic Thai dishes. I tried the Thai shrimp soup and it was delicious, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The curries were also a highlight, packed with fresh ingredients and rich sauces. In addition, the presentation of the dishes was beautiful, which made it even more special. All in all it was a great dining experience and I can't wait to go back and explore more of their menu!

For the first time in all the years that I have been coming here, I am not satisfied with my fried rice with chicken. The food was already ready and was thrown into the pan to fry for a while. The rice was much too soft and turned out to be sticky. I hate to have to write this, but I find it unacceptable to receive my food this way. I hold this restaurant in very high regard, but I find this such a disappointment, even though I get my food here so often.

This has become my regular ordering spot for Thai food. Extremely tasty and freshly prepared. Delivery person is always on time too! Highly recommended!!! BEST in Amsterdam

The worst tom yam I have ever had. Extremely sweet, like a syrop and not spicy at all. Usually tom yam is served with rice, but not here. I don't know, maybe it is the Netherland's specific but I ate tom yam in the different countries and rice always was served by default.

I have placed an order online a few times, always very satisfied. This time I thought it would be fun to eat out and visit Funky Thai myself. There is a nice atmosphere, the staff was very nice and attentive. The music provided a nice summer vibe, not too loud, just right. And the food… it was a delicious taste explosion. I was surprised, only indicated that it should not be too spicy and that I would like a dish with chicken. In the end the number was 49, lots of vegetables with a large portion of white rice and the oyster sauce was chosen as a sauce. It was incredibly tasty. And for dessert the American pancakes with strawberry ice cream and syrup, this was really a party and very tasty. Thank you for the hospitality and the great service!

We had the food delivered. Very bad food and that for over 40 euros for 2 people. Salad tastes old and tough😱. Bami also old, stuck together and lumpy and a few small pieces of chicken in it. The 4 fried shrimp also seem from yesterday and double fried. Tough. Well I won't order from here again!!!

It’s a new place, cool atmosphere! Only women are working at the open kitchen, they also talk Thai to each other quite loud which adds to experience! Food is good, it’s not the best Thai food I had but it’s good, I would go back! We ordered drunken noodles and fried rice! Fried rice was delicious and portion is huge! They don’t serve alcohol just non alcoholic drinks.

They have Som tam (which is tough to find in Amsterdam) and it’s quite good. The gai kratiam and vegetarian green curry were also super yummy. Bit surprised by the bad reviews tbh, I lived in Bangkok for 4.5 years and this is solid Thai food for Amsterdam.

Modern Thai restaurant where everything is fine: the decor, the cleanliness, the food, the price/quality ratio, the staff, the atmosphere, the music. They really do their best here and with great attention to details. All the food appears very fresh. Most guests leave the business with a doggy bag.

The food took 2 hours for delivery (20 mins delivery time was advertised), after calling to enquire about my food, I was told that it was "on the way" and then hung up on. This happened twice, they refused to pick up after this. The service here is very poor, definitely will not order from here again.

Food used to be great and staff friendly. Last experience was disappointing - you can’t pay with debit cards (pinnen) even when the sign is on the register. They only want cash / contant even if I did not have any - only my phone and debit cards. It’s been more than 2 months that the payment device is out of order and this is not acceptable. Will not go back for that reason. Get your payment device fixed!

We very much liked the food. I ordered #40 and it had a fitting mix of chicken and vegetables. Before ordering the lady warned me that the food will be spicy and asked me how spicy I want it, which was very attentive. Overall we had a good experience. When you are looking for Thai food this is the place to go to.

Thai company een soort van 'Thai street food'. Leuk eenvoudig tentje. Het eten is er lekker. Na een lange tijd weer bij hun gegeten. Er is het e.e.a. veranderd op het menu en de prijzen. Voorgerecht 'Thai Company Mix' voor 2 personen gedeeld. Hierna één garnalen gerecht met knoflook en een zelf samengesteld wok gerecht, rijstnoedels met biefstuk in curry met als topping een gebakken ei. Beiden lekker van smaak. Nu is het geen eettentje waar je lang blijft zitten en zeker als de verwarming binnen niet aanstaat als het buiten tegen het vriespunt zit ;)

good thai spot. a lot of asian food spots out here seem to be adjusted to non-asian taste palettes. this place is closer to authentic thai food that i’ve had. seasonings and all. and the cooks were all thai. waitress too. i’m currently enjoying my meal as i write this review 🥂

Het leek meer op Chinees, het smaakte naar tjap tjoi. De bezorging duurde ruim een uur. Dat kost je dan €25. Hier bestel ik niet meer als ik zin heb in Thais. De groenten en rijst an sich waren vers.

Het eten is goed alles vers gemaakt - puntje eten mag wel wat warmer gesauveerd worden was nu lauw.
