The Thai food here is fresh and delicious. And thankfully, without any flavor, odor, or artificial coloring. The couple is very friendly, with one sociable young man serving. The food arrived quickly. Kah luuw deng: chicken with vegetables. Singha beer to go with it. It was a wonderful evening.

Nice quiet place where you can talk. Friendly owners. Food lacked flavour and freshness. Pad Thai had burned vegetables. Couldn’t taste the basil in the Kra-pauw.

After some very disappointing Indonesian food, I was really hoping to have at least one good Asian meal in Amsterdam before I left. This is THE place - ordered the green curry with prawns extra spicy. It was perfect! I was drinking the leftover gravy after devouring everything else. And coconut ice cream which was ok. So glad I found this place and gave it a shot. Super nice server - family run so might be a bit of a wait to take your order and for the food to show up. But totally worth it.

Had a good meal at this Thai restaurant on the Ceintuurbaan. The location is easily accessible by public transport, by car a bit less so because of the limited parking. We walked in around 7pm without a reservation and were lucky to get a table, a little later the place was full. We ordered various starters and two main courses. The masaman and a dish with pork. The starters were tasty. The masaman was fine but I have had better. I did not taste the pork dish but the person who had it was very happy with it. The atmosphere in the shop is friendly and the interior feels authentic.

Delicious and a bit unusual food (duck and phad Thai). Super friendly staff. I hadn't been here in a long time and I regret it!

Went with 4 people. Very cozy vibe, portion sizes were very generous and reasonably priced. Did have to wait a bit for the food, but you can tell that it's made with love, fresh from the kitchen.

Authentic restaurant and food. Good quality. Service is this case was pretty bad, delivered wrong choice (chicken vs Shrimp). Waiter appeared very pushy, almost aggressive and unfriendly when he wanted to close restaurant. This should be improved!

Get €40 worth of Thai food from this place. First and last time! Vegetables are so big and raw, I would have ordered KrabPauw. I get something different altogether. Not even close. Pineapple in the curry, really not done!

Prima Thai. Klein restaurant met vriendelijk personeel en super lieve koks. Het is het favoriete restaurant van mijn vader en eten daar ieder jaar met zijn verjaardag. Meerdere van ons eten vegetarisch en ook met speciale wensen wordt rekening gehouden. Ik vind dat het wel wat pittiger mag maar wel minder zout. Ik vroeg extra peper en toen kreeg ik losse pepers 😅 Dat werkte niet echt. Maar iedereen heeft weer heerlijk gegeten.

The dishes are wonderfully seasoned. The fragrant ingredients are easy to taste. The chicken with coconut milk and bamboo shoots was kept warm with a clay pot under the fire. We also had the fish dish with garlic. The dishes could be paired with rice or noodles. We had the coconut ice cream for dessert. What fits as a conclusion to the dishes. What I noticed is the authentic cutlery, which really suits their interior. A quiet, cozy atmosphere with well-spaced tables so that you are not disturbed by other tables if you were having a conversation.

Food was amazing! Full of flavor and d fresh and served hot and right off the grill. Served was very nice and helpful and service was great. Will definitely return again.

Really only worth 3 stars. The curry was good. No one was happy with the satay and the pad thai was also medium. Plus no plastic containers!

What a wonderful little real Thai restaurant. The welcome and farewell will definitely stay with you because of the wonderful enthusiasm.... The food (Pad Thai) was delicious. The atmosphere is no longer completely contemporary, but I like it... You imagine yourself in Thailand again...

Couldn't have gotten better food even in Thailand, we had a 5 course meal, and everything was truly authentic.

Since my favorite Thai in de Pijp (Siriphon, what a loss) has permanently closed, I have tried Thai Deum twice so far, but unfortunately they don't come close and it is really disappointing compared to the past. Where are the Thai flavors? And why is it all so lame? I have the feeling that cheap ingredients are chosen for economic reasons, because otherwise I can't explain it. I'm going to try it one or two more times because maybe I wasn't there at the right time, but if it doesn't improve then I'll look for another Thai. Because I no longer do it for lower quality than with Siriphon and you shouldn't do it either.

Food is delicious, unfortunately little choice in wine. A lot of take-away customers come by, a small part of it is also set up as an eatery.

Awesome little place. Our favorites are the red curry with chicken and beef with long green bean. Small restaurant but worth it for the excellent food and service.

De owners are the worst. I saw them treating. their staff very rudely and unethically, They come across in front of the customers very nice but in reality they treat very unkindly to the people who work under them in the kitchen. Not nice people so never going there back. Going there means supporting abuse so a big NO.👎

It’s the Thai restaurant I know for many years now (more than 20?), and it’s atill one of the best in Amsterdam. The dishes taste different and nuanced and watching the same people cook with so much gusto really moves me. An all-time classic. Het is het Thaise restaurant dat ik het langste ken (meer dan 20 jaar?) en het blijft één van de beste restaurants in Amsterdam. De gerechten smaken uniek en onderscheidend en zien dat dezelfde mensen met nog steeds zoveel verve staan te koken, doet me echt iets. Een oprechte klassieker.

A wonderfully authentic Thai taste for those with a love for Thai food. This is run by a Thai couple who are also the chefs. You can’t get much more authentic than this! A must try and you will be hooked Tom-Yum soup with Prawn is a big hit!

Altijd lekker. We komen hier regelmatig eten en wat we ook uitkiezen: het is altijd goed! De koks zie je aan het werk. Het eten ziet er mooi uit en is heerlijk. Bediening en de koks zijn aardig en snel. Het restaurantje is klein en gezellig.

Geen idee wat er aan de hand is. We hebben hier vaker heerlijk eten afgehaald, maar de laatste keer waren de gerechten flets en de ingrediënten - rijst en groenten - duidelijk niet vers. Toch 2 sterren vanwege eerdere kwaliteit.

We’ve eaten here over the years and it is a neighborhood staple! We often order to go and get pad thai and green curry. The pad thai is on the drier side (less saucy) which is just how we like it. Eating in is also fun with a nice dining area and also the kitchen up front!

Food tasted ok, although very small potions for that price. What we were very borher about was that we were waiting more that 1 hour for the food and we kept seeing delivery orders going out from our table. So in the hours we were waiting for the food more than 10 orders went out to be delivered.. staff is friendly but not coming back definetly.

Tasty little place for Thai food. This place is super tiny. Maybe 10ish tables and few of them Abe to accommodate large parties unless you get lucky. So, (especially) if you have more than 4 people and/or definitely want to get a table, call ahead for a reservation. The menu was larger than expected but tasty even though the dishes I was used to were prepared differently than I am used to.

My favorite thai resturant in Amsterdam. Their fried rice is the best in town , it’s exactly like in Thailand even better than some resturant in Thailand i could say ! (Im thai so i know it 😂) Highly recommend to visit and tried thier food , the chefs are really friendly and polite. You won’t regret going there for sure, i garantee it:)

We hebben daar met zijn tweeën gegeten en we zijn teleurgesteld in onze verwachtingen. De service was spijtig: Straalt geen sfeer uit, bediening is soms onduidelijk en het is vooral niet gezellig. Het eten was 'oké', maar niet meer dan dat. Prijs/kwaliteit voor ons niet meer voor herhaling vatbaar.

I’ve been coming here since I just moved to Amsterdam 2,5 years ago. Until today, Thai Deum is still my favourite Thai restaurant in Amsterdam: delicious food for very reasonable prices. Their green curry is unbeatable. I’ll keep on being a loyal customer. See you soon!

We have been eating/ ordering here for the last 11 years. Consistently good authentic food and excellent service. It’s a family run business, with various members all doing their bit behind the open kitchen, but making sure to stop to thank you on entering and exiting. Only downside is that they don’t deliver, but this could be due to a number of reasons, including quality control, but I find the walk to them always worth it at the end. I would also argue the best Tod-man and yam neau in Amsterdam!

Kip cashew was heerlijk. Rode curry ook erg lekker. Gegeten in het restaurant.

Vanavond hier eten afgehaald. Ben een erg grote fan van pad thai en ben zelfs speciaal naar Bangkok gevlogen om het te eten. Dat hoeft nu niet meer, want je kan hier overheerlijke pad thai eten. Super groot portie ook. Echt een aanrader. En de mensen zijn ook super lief en vriendelijk. Dikke duim voor jullie

Heerlijk gegeten bij Thai Deum, goede kwaliteit met Laotiaans tintje.

Ottimo ristorante Thai ad Amsterdam, le zuppe sono fantastiche, buoni anche i padthai, ed i piatti in abbinamento alle pietanze con il curry. Prezzo onesto, è possibile cenare all'esterno del locale.

I order Laab Kai and Tom Yak Plaa for takeaway. The people in the restaurant were extremely friendly, typical Thai. The food was wonderful, the Laab Kai could have used a bit more fish sauce. I would give 4,5 stars if possible but as that’s not possible -> 5 stars.
