a bit pricey but worth the good food

Food was nice, not amazing. Service was very friendly and the food arrived quickly!

Great atmosphere and friendly atmosphere. I often go to Breakfast Club! Unfortunately, we ordered nachos for two to share, but the guacamole wasn't good. It seemed like the avocado was bad and past its sell-by date. We politely pointed this out, but the response was that it couldn't be because the employee had eaten them that afternoon too. But every avocado is different, right? When we paid, the employee asked if everything was to our liking, even though we had mentioned the nachos and they hadn't eaten much. Unfortunately, we also had to pay for the nachos, even though we said they weren't good. Nice restaurant for coffee, but unfortunately, not for the food.

Great atmosphere, delicious food. Kids can play safely, both upstairs and downstairs. The chai could be a bit bigger, but the flavor is fantastic. I'll definitely be back!!

Came here for breakfast this morning. We weren't greeted upon arrival. I ended up asking if we could sit down somewhere. We ordered via the QR code, however, because no one came to our table. The barista was busy making coffee. And another employee was having a loud discussion in the middle of the restaurant. The buttermilk pancakes were delicious. The fresh juice was incredibly sour. And the sandwich had barely any filling. A €13 sandwich with a small triangle of filling and the rest of the sandwich bare. A bit of a shame. I wouldn't be dining here again anytime soon.

My boyfriend and I had breakfast on the terrace of The Breakfast Club, and it was absolutely delicious! We both had the blueberry pancakes: highly recommended! Before we went, I was curious about the other reviews of this place, and one negative point that came up several times was the trash can and dishwashing bowl opposite the entrance (which, by the way, the owner didn't address, which is a real shame). I can see why it's practical to have it there if you work there, but it's definitely not very hygienic. Maybe move the trash can to the other side of the bar so it's out of sight of customers?

We had a great breakfast with my girlfriend at this place. Pancakes were just amazing! The service from Martin was flawless. Highly recommended.

Five of us came in for drinks today at 4:20 PM. The place is open until 5:00 PM. The waitress didn't want to serve us anymore. She'd had such a busy day and still had to clean everything. "Great service!!"

Cozy place with lots of goodies on the menu and all kinds of toys for children

June 10, 2025 here. Took 15 minutes before I could finally order a cup of coffee from the ladies. And that while it was quiet. Disinterested staff. Disappointing! Food was nice. Too bad the service was not good.

In the center of Bussum is The breakfast club Delicious food with lunch tasty Omelet and my wife thick sandwich with salad and tomatoes we were satisfied and could walk through Bussum There is a Koot en Bie route and a Wim de Bie tunnel under the railway in memory of resident Wim de Bie who lived in Bussum for many years

Very tasty coffee, friendly staff. The food is OK, nothing special. I find the location less cozy, a bit uncomfortable terrace.

Perfect food with amazing recommendations by the staffs with top notch chefs. Had the best brunch possible in Bussum.

I like the concept and the food is nice but the kids area is very dirty with plenty of broken toys (some with sharp edges as a result). It's a shame as it could be an amazing spot for families with kids.

Nice children's area. The coffee is reasonable/good, and on this day the service was very good.

Great meal, the food was very tasty. It was noticeable that the staff was busy with each other and less with the customers. In addition, the view from the table was unsanitary and not very tasty to say the least. It is a strange choice to place a waste bin in the middle of the business and separate and stack waste and dirty plates there. This significantly detracts from our (dining) experience.

Nice lunch, old fashioned prices. Order quickly with QR or wait until you are helped. Light and nicely decorated. Children are separated so it is nice and quiet and everyone is welcome. That's how it should be. Tip: more vegetarian options.

The Hygiene seems to be a problem and the food was not really good .The bagel place next door way superior

Good service good food, but place should be cleaned better especially the kids area.

Had lunch with 3 people. Food is quite expensive and what you get was not great, at least for me. 2 croquettes with bread is really 2 croquettes on 2 slices of bread, no butter added. Wilted lettuce and something like pickled red cabbage next to it, looked poor for 12.50. When ordering I asked for a little mayonnaise. So that was not included and not even mustard. I asked for the mayonnaise and mustard, which would be delivered. No one felt called to go to the kitchen to get the mayonnaise and mustard. In the end I had to ask for it 4 times and I threatened to jump out of my skin with anger, then 2 minimal blobs appeared on a breakfast plate on the table. Ridiculous! Never eat here again!

Ordered 'the John' twice, which should contain coconut milk, pineapple, mango and banana. We got a small glass (for €6.50 per glass!) and it only tasted like coconut milk. What a rip off. The service was friendly, but...

Errrrg lang wachten op bediening en nog langer op het eten. Pannenkoeken koud en een sport schoenzool en de andere helemaal niet gaar. Dan is het vreemd dat je jezelf een breakfast club noemt als je geen breakfast kan maken. Er zaten niet veel mensen in de zaak. En de bagel en beans naast ons was veel gezelliger druk. De dame die bediende was aardig. We kregen een gratis drankje.

Great location to have breakfast or brunch with kids. Better to reserve a table as the whole place gets busy, especially if you want to eat downstairs in the play area perfect for small kids. Good vegetarian options. Generous portion size. Friendly staff and quick service. Plenty of paid parking around the corner.

We stopped here briefly on our vacation and were able to enjoy a relaxing stay with a small child, as there was no boredom with other children and toys available. A great atmosphere, good service and delicious food.

I get it... my job wouldn't be serving and dealing with so many children, but gossiping about your guests behind the bar? That really shouldn't be possible. Of all the times I've been here, the lady behind the bar couldn't crack a smile, or with great difficulty, but that became clear today when she spoke out to her colleague about the children on the ground floor. REALLY NOT DONE!! No matter how busy or boring your day is! At least walk away from the room filled with guests, I could just hear it 😱 what a shame for the business!

After sitting upstairs for 15 minutes with 2 children, we are sent away. They can't handle the crowds! We were promised that we could sit down... what a joke! I will never come back here again!!! By the way, there was someone who could sit there. But we had to leave.. the gentleman had not ordered and neither had we.. Scandalous!! And this is for kids!!!! Looking for a better tent with crying kids. Shame

This place is cleaned once a month, maybe. It's just too gross to have your children play on the ground.

De appeltaart was niet vers maar kwam helaas uit de vriezer. Had waterige appels en had erg weinig smaak. Erg jammer. Toilet was ook erg vies. Koffie was daarentegen wel erg lekker!

My food was cold when it arrived. I commented on it and was encouraged by the waitress to send it back (I never actually do that). This time I did it and in no time I had my order again, this time nice and warm. Great service!

A cozy place to have breakfast/lunch. The meals (e.g. egg dishes) are large and the plate is well filled. I had a carrot cake, which was very small for 5 euros. Perhaps freshly made, but unfortunately not worth the price. Staff very friendly, but they have to pay attention when they are 'chatting' about guests behind the bar, because I noticed it and that does not give a nice impression.

Ordered the London (English breakfast). Eggs came overdone, bread without butter, beans piping hot, sausage cold. Over all underwhelming, but the spot is nicely located with nice service people

Expected more quality from a breakfast place. Fresh avocado would make a difference for avocado toast and not something from a container. And why is there tomato cream on this? That doesn’t go together… Friendly staff and nice atmosphere though. But please improve Mexico eggs (look at other restaurants) and the avocado toast. It can be so much better with simple adjustments. Don’t go the cheap way …

A few weeks ago I celebrated my birthday here with my family. In general the contact was very friendly, but there were certain points that I liked less during my visit: When we arrived, we were given a table for 10 people as ordered, but it was still very full of various magazines that made it feel like we were something new. Ordering with that app was 👍. The food was good, unfortunately the coffee tasted very burnt, which made all coffee drinks less good. Moreover, the service still has room to go up: they still asked to order, but did not take the empty cups and plates, which meant that our table was full of used things. They also rushed us at the end to leave the restaurant as quickly as possible, we were getting dressed and the employees immediately sat at our table to have lunch. My visit was ok, but after this experience I probably won't come again.

Tried to have lunch here today, I waited 50 minutes for 1 pancake, but they were unable to bake it for me. After asking twice when I could expect it, it was never served, so I paid for my coffee and left. I understand it was busy, but you shouldn't have to wait almost an hour for a pancake.

Goedemiddag ik Ben net bij jullie geweest bestelde een uitsmijter erg triest drie eieren op een dun sneetje brood geen sla er bij of iets . Dit is echt geen 10 euro waard . Teras vol onkruid ziet er erg armoedig uit .

Erg lekker om met mijn kleinkinderen te gaan lunchen, ruime keuze vd lunch. speelparadijs is echt leuk. Goed en prettig personeel.

Prefect place for families with small kids

Niet heen gaan als je gevoelig bent voor geluid. Verder was het eten niet goed bij ons, onwijs doorgebakken ei/bonen en droog brood. Niet de prijs waard en niet met zorg gemaakt

Super fijne lunchplek. Meerdere verdiepingen, plek voor kinderen om te spelen op 2 verdiepingen maar niet op de begane grond. Helemaal top dus voor met en zonder kids. Fijn terras met zon en schaduw. Lekkere gezonde én minder gezonde gerechten 🤣

Lekker ontbijt, fijne bediening.

First time we got there couple of months back, I was pleasantly surprised, but today was a bit of a disappointment. Waffles were soggy and the nachos very poorly served, and even the bitterballen seemed undercooked. Mmm, i guess we'll try once more, but two strikes and they are out. Update: went back today, waffles same issue, why not serve the wet stuff on the side, leaving the waffles as they should be? Anyways, overall better, so upped one star.

Great place! Breakfast all day, what's not to love 💕 Also great with small kids, there is a playground downstairs. The menu looks great like huevos rancheros, poached eggs benedict and fried chicken waffles but the execution could be improved.

Hi, I'm Tina Monsanto, its been twice that I went to breakfast club in Bussum, both times I've been there the waitresses are not friendly. I waited long for them to come and take my order, and when they see I'm English speaking and not Dutch they bring my food and just throw my plate on top of the table with no friendliness, not even here's your food please enjoy!!.. but the table that was behind me were Dutch people so the waitress is very friendly even when she brings they food with a different attitude than she had towards me. Where i come from the waitresses are very professional. The waiters don't do the cooking, only serve. They have chef's to do the cooking only. In Netherlands the youngsters have not professional, no experience, and even less in cooking. It feels like they hate they job but need the money. The latte was no good, just milk hardly any coffee, mushrooms no taste at all, bacon very burnt. I had bad experience both tines I was there.

De pannenkoeken voor de kinderen waren super. Smaakvol en ruime porties. De Caesar salad was ok. Jammer dat er ingrediënten ontbraken (geen croutons en zeer weinig dressing) en er geen mogelijkheid was dit aan te geven want na het opnemen van de bestelling heb ik niemand meer gezien om te informeren of alles naar wens was of dat we misschien nog iets wilden drinken. Fijn dat er ook tafels staan bij de speelruimte. Een plek waar ik zeker nog eens zou komen als het personeel wat hartelijker zou zijn geweest naar mij en vooral naar mijn kinderen. Er kon geen glimlach of vriendelijk woord vanaf. Dame die de bestelling opnam leek er geen zin in te hebben en ik voelde me niet welkom met mijn kinderen. Super jammer en een gemiste kans. Zeker voor een plek die júist gericht zou zijn op kleintjes.

Prima plek om met de kinderen een kopje koffie te drinken. Gezellige speelplek, leuke winkeltjes in de buurt, vriendelijk personeel. De prijzen zijn wat hoog.

Valerie you need to train your staff to be more customer oriented. I see a lot of complaints about them. I know it's hard to get good staff in NL, they're mostly young, lazy, unmotivated and unwilling to be respectful or hard-working. Quite expensive, but decent coffee and food. In the eggs Benedict the tomatoes as specified on the menu were not included. On inquiring they claimed that tomatoes were in the avocado mash, but that was obviously not true since there was no visible hint of red. Second visit: again nice food, ordered the chicken Caesar salad. Noticed it was dry with no dressing at all, so I told the waitress. AGAIN immediate denial, without even looking: "There is dressing, but I'll get extra if you want" So she returned with a small dish of Caesar dressing which had clearly been forgotten. I half expected an extra charge for 'extra dressing' but thankfully for them that was not added on. Apparently they train their staff to believe 'the customer is always wrong!'

The breakfast quality is average, ingredients doesn't look like really fresh, the breakfast was not that hot tool, the mushroom was partly served cold, the staff left the door toilet for long time that we could smell toilet and changed place,

Alles was super, enige grote min punt is dat de wc beneden bij opening van het restaurant mega vies is, de luieremmer is mega vies om er überhaupt een luier weer in te doen. De bril van de wc ook vies. Wat ik jammer vond is dat ze geen pannenkoeken hebben met soja melk.

medewerkers met Gooise arrogantie onattent geen aandacht voor gasten ontbreken van een echte gastheer of vrouw de tosti was niet meerdan een zompig stuk brood met gesmolten kaas niet wat ik gewend ben Vande breakfast club
