Delicious food. Price/quality is good

We were here on Wednesday evening April 2 and had a really delicious meal! We opted for the street food menu where we were able to eat many different and tasty dishes like a rice table. Everything was very tasty, but the rendang deserves an extra mention! Service very friendly and professional, ambiance was great and the food, as mentioned, excellent. Highly recommended!!

Great meal. No more, no less. No noticeable flavors. Basic prepared dishes. There are restaurants nearby where Asian flavors are better served. Friendly service, but also some inexperienced staff. Pouring red wine into a glass that contained white wine. Serve plates on cutlery. That's really not possible.

Very tasty food, surprising dishes. The fries unfortunately tasted a bit less and did not look that good either, seemed fried in old fat. This was reported to the staff. Otherwise nice restaurant and friendly staff

Food itself OK, nicely decorated place, but that small dishes sharing concept is not for me. 50 euros lighter and still hungry unfortunately.

Food tasted great and was served beautifully. But we were so surprised at the way of serving. You had just finished your drink or plate and it was immediately taken away and when you ordered the next round it was served too quickly. This made us feel very restless, even when we took dessert and had just finished it, it was taken away straight away. It didn't feel comfortable and quiet eating out.

Had high tea with some friends this afternoon. Highly recommended. Delicious food with all very tasty dishes. The high tea is slightly different. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is cozy and the atmosphere is good. Really worth a try.

Als eerste is de beoordeling goed, maar er kon alleen gekozen worden uit: gemiddeld of heel goed. Gezellig restaurant aan een leuk straatje aan het water. Het eten was lekker een een leuk concept (shared dining). Helaas was de rijst van de sushi te hard (al dente). Het personeel was vriendelijk, zelfs een beetje ‘te vriendelijk’. Terwijl we nog aan het eten waren werd gevraagd of er borden weg konden waar nog eten op lag. Flesjes drinken wilden ze meenemen waar nog voor de helft drinken in zat. Er werd gevraagd of we nog wat wilden bestellen en dat wilden we wel maar toen was er haast want de keuken zou over 5 min sluiten. Dit zou ik dan wat eerder aangeven. Er werd gevraagd of we nog wat wilden drinken nadat we net 1 slok van onze hete thee hadden genomen. Al met al een gezellige avond gehad en lekker gegeten maar we kregen er wel een opgejut gevoel van. Dit heb ik wel als hinderlijk ervaren…. Ik schrijf nooit recensies maar vond dit wel noemenswaardig ter verbetering.

Another visit to this restaurant and we are once again positively surprised – not only by the excellent food, but also by the beautiful interior and professional service. It is clear that the restaurant continues to evolve and make changes to offer customers more comfort. The food is full of flavour, varied and beautifully presented. We will definitely come back here!

We dachten even een lekker avondje te gaan eten (met vriendin) totdat we ons aan ons eerste gerecht zouden beginnen. Op de beef tataki zat een dode vlieg. Echt zo goor! We waren meteen klaar met onze eetlust. Aangegeven bij personeel, reageerden amper… Geen sorry of niks. Hebben onze spullen gepakt en zijn weggegaan….hier nooit weer!

Still no response, still a strange experience! Good Food food okey, but promise doesn't make debt. Read the menu otherwise you will pay many percentages too much. Because the invoice showed that various dishes had to be paid extra. It is also on the menu, but when the waiter says "you can also read the explanation if you don't understand it". We understood what was said, so I'm not going to read it, BUT then the message must be honest. After an email from me, someone from the business called back and indicated that the explanation was indeed incorrect and asked for my receipt. Put this on the app and was able to collect the difference amount. To retrieve ?? At this time, bizarrely, I gave my account number etc. on June 30 and have not heard anything yet. You don't have to anymore, but think before you start Good Food!! No response at all is ALSO telling. Good to know that Vreeswijk has many other restaurants with good food, but above all good service and honest information.

The food is really good it's not just in the restaurant name😀, had a 5 mean course with my colleagues it was delicious, I only took a picture of the dessert but doesn't do it justice, for sure you cannot fail if you go here even if it's a little far from Utrecht.

Had a nice meal on Tuesday, it was not busy.

The food comes from the freezer. Never had such a bad meal before. Sit at the table with 6 people and get 8, 5, 10 or 3 snacks. Even the fries were super bad. All small pieces and fried way too hard with a small bottle cap of mayonnaise. It was very pleasant.

Het eten komt uit de vriezer!! Met 6 man aan tafel zitten en 8,5,10 of 3 hapjes krijgen. Nog nooit zo slecht gegeten. Zelfs de patat was super slecht. Allemaal kleine stukjes, te hard gebakken met een flessen dopje mayonaise. De sate heb ik geproefd, maar niet doorgeslikt. Het was verder wel heel gezellig!!!

Had a delicious meal again, together with the neighbors and friends. It was great again and highly recommended, nice, cozy and friendly staff. But the owner (Jan) is also a great person, he regularly comes by to have a chat. We have been eating with him regularly for 5 years.

Heerlijk gegeten weer ,samen met de buren en vrienden. Was weer top en echt een aanrader , Leuk , gezellig en vriendelijk Personeel. Maar ook de eigenaar(Jan) is een topper , komt regelmatig langs om een praatje te maken. We komen al 5 j regelmatig bij hem eten.

2024: (for 2023 see below) Food is still tasty, but the service left a lot to be desired. Even though people did their best. Too few (trained) staff for the number of guests, which resulted in empty glasses/nothing to drink for a long time, too long times between courses, the order of the courses was illogical and, for example, we received the same dish twice. Hopefully this will improve back to the old quality in the future and 5 stars again! 2023: Definitely a restaurant to come back to! Delicious dishes. The 5-course menu is highly recommended. Staff very friendly. The only pity is that no (free) tap water is served. In addition to all the drinks we drank, that was a nice addition 😉

Unfortunately this was disappointing. Nice new twist on a high tea, but I wouldn't call it that. Was more of an Oriental Delight. The snacks were fine. The spreads are really tasty. But making your own sandwich could have been done differently. We also first received the spread for the sandwiches and then when it had already cooled down, the bread. Service was not as it should be. No tea cups on the table, they were gone. Broken water bottles (broken pieces at the neck) are really not allowed. Not even if you say that this has been the case for years. I'm not going to recommend this place. And it is such a beautiful place in Vreeswijk. A shame!

A theft. From 11 to 15 euros for a taste. There is nothing on the plate and that little is also of poor quality. Avoid it if you can.

Very well organized dinner for my retirement. Everything was great. Enjoyed it very much.

The food is good, but the service is cringe-worthy. 6 tables occupied and 5 people serving. Tables that were not cleared, meaning there were tables around you on which plates with leftover food remained. I was able to eat 2 dishes in 2 hours because it took a long time to take the order. Then also get what was not ordered on the table. Portions are also not always in proportion to the price. Ordered spekkoek for dessert, served with vanilla ice cream, and then received it with strawberry ice cream. Had to hear from the chef that the vanilla ice cream had run out, while this is the job of the wait staff and we could have ordered something else. Went here twice to eat, both times we were annoyed by the service. We won't be coming back here again.

Had a delicious meal again tonight at Good Food. I have eaten here a number of times over the years and the quality of the dishes still remains excellent, especially my favorites the sticky ribs, the rendang and the tataki tuna. The service as always was super attentive and pleasant and (very important) a really delicious wine list for such a restaurant!!

The restaurant looked nice. It took a very long time before we could order. The younger employees tried hard to help everyone. But things didn't go well between us, comments were made to each other in our presence, which made it very uncomfortable. After receiving the wrong food and drinks twice, we wanted to say something about this. We were immediately blamed for the situation by the employee, even though we just wanted to report it. She had this attitude towards all customers as well as the other staff. We made the best of it but unfortunately we would certainly not recommend this.

Prachtige terras aan de gracht, goed koffie en drinken maar slechte en oncreative menu,nu noemen ze het " Fusion Keuken " waarin ze alles met alles combineren. Deze restaurant heeft echt een goede en ervaren kok nodig !!!

I have a bad experience at good Food Fearwijk. I had to pay before my order was reserved, I ordered bitterballen, and they were served bursting, I also ordered chicken satay but instead I got pork cold and half cooked, I couldn't eat it and left it on the table and left. The services were so poor.

Bought a 5-course menu voucher via Social deal based on the good reviews. Restaurant is nicely decorated and the location is also nice with free parking options. However, we found the food very disappointing. The portions are super small. For example, you get rice in a container into which you can pour soy sauce. Presentation was fine, but we didn't think it was tasteful. Almost nothing seemed home-made, even the mocktail comes from a package. Furthermore, I had indicated when making the reservation that there was a pregnant woman, but when ordering the dishes we were not informed of this, so we ended up with a dish that was raw. The concept is sharing dinning. With these types of concepts, we are used to everyone getting a separate plate and the dishes being placed in the middle. The dishes were simply placed in the middle and you were then allowed to eat from that plate. All in all, not worth repeating for us, which is a shame. Price = quality ratio not worth it.

Had a great evening here. We had a 5 course menu, the dishes were all delicious and well prepared. There is plenty of choice. Wines are very good. The only downside we found was that the courses followed each other very quickly. One plate wasn't even gone before the next course arrived. Personally, I prefer to dine a little longer. Had such a delicious meal for the first time in a long time!! For a 2nd time within 2 weeks. First had a delicious lunch. And now I had a 5-course shared dining experience with my husband. That means 8 delicious dishes and a Grand Desert. Definitely have to go back, because I haven't tasted everything yet. Luckily reserved! Because it filled up quickly. A gem in Vreeswijk!
