We enjoyed a delicious à la carte meal of various small dishes. We paid 5 per person and they were all delicious. I thought the tuna tataki was the tastiest and most unique. Justin (or the gentleman) did an excellent job serving.

The food was so good! We had the most delicious prawns ever here!! Absolutely fantastic. We eat out two or three times a week, but the prawns here are the best. Everything else was delicious, of course.

What a wonderful Sunday evening we had! We enjoyed a 5-course meal. Wow, so delicious!! Beautiful dishes, fresh, super fresh, quite a lot too, filling the whole evening. We ordered from Good Food Nieuwegein for the first time (home delivery) and we were really pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious. The Tja Siew was well-seasoned, the Korean chicken with the bun was truly excellent, and the gyozas were also incredibly flavorful. We even got a free vegetable spring roll and an extra container of Korean chicken – truly delicious. One small note: the included sachet of soy sauce turned out to be expired (2023). That's a shame, and it might be a good idea to check everything before you take it home. But otherwise, highly recommended. We will definitely order again.

I recently had a delicious meal at Good Food with my colleagues, and today we spontaneously went for lunch. The lunch menu was impeccable, and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time, and the waitress wasn't very friendly. This was a shame, but all in all, I would recommend this restaurant for both lunch and dinner.

Saturday evening, table for two. It was packed, busy, but still very cozy and we received a warm welcome. Delicious food, great service. They really care about everything being to your liking and always come to ask. This was our third time. We will definitely be back. Lovely atmosphere and delicious small dishes. Our compliments! We dined here on Friday, October 3, 2025. We received a warm and friendly welcome. We opted for the "autumn special," which had just been added to the menu at this restaurant. It was a 5-course menu, with a wide selection to choose from beforehand. Everything was equally delicious and beautifully decorated on the plates. There was plenty of time between courses. We could request dessert ourselves. Simply delicious, and the service was great. Definitely recommended.

We made an all-you-can-eat reservation through Social Deal, but it was a huge disappointment. We waited over an hour for our first course, and after that, we only received tiny, tasteless portions. We're a family that dines out often, but this was a truly disappointing experience. The service was very slow, and even after asking twice, the food didn't arrive. They also brought red meat, even though we clearly stated we didn't eat it. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant through Social Deal.

We made a reservation at Good Good yesterday, after enjoying the late summer evening, and we had a truly wonderful evening. A very attentive woman made our evening wonderful, thoughtful, and gave us excellent advice. She deserves a 10 out of 10, and we'll definitely be back. Super tasty food, and nice and fun restaurant

The food was truly delicious, generous portions, and the service was excellent! The food quality was very good. The dessert (grand dessert) was fantastic! The atmosphere was cozy.

It was a really nice experience. They offer small bites. Sometimes it's food with a twist. Spring rolls with pulled pork? Sushi with crispy chicken? Fun and delicious. Personally, we like these kinds of restaurants the best. You get a wide variety of flavors and textures that you can choose yourself. One small note, though. We're not big eaters and sometimes found the portions a bit on the large side. But that's just a personal preference, of course. The decor is very simple. The lighting, for example, consists of very ordinary spotlights on the ceiling. But the nice thing is that the average person will never notice this. And you come for the atmosphere and the food. Nothing wrong with that! Another thing that bothers me personally is the wall that's partially damaged by the backrests of the chairs. Screw an old plank against it! Oh, and don't think you can park anywhere if you don't know the neighborhood well. Is it recommended? In this case, I can give a resounding "Yes." (But leave in time because you have to park your car somewhere.)

Last month we had a wonderful meal at The Good Food in Nieuwegein! Together with my stepmother and sister we enjoyed the five-course pick-and-mix menu with Asian influences. Every dish was tasty and beautifully presented. The service was friendly, fast and very attentive. One of the employees really made the difference with her warm service – that was greatly appreciated. The location is also very nice: we could sit outside by the water, which made the evening extra atmospheric. In short: a very nice experience. We would love to come back here again

Come let's go to Vreedwijk and eat something. Late lunch or something else. You arrive at a terrace by the water. Many tables already reserved for dinner. But still found a table. Admittedly with dirty plates and a lot of flies. But there were also other tables. After waiting for fifteen minutes. still no staff seen, my wife went inside to ask if she had to order inside. Upon entering all the staff fled and 1 was the loser. No, we'll be there soon. But lunch is closed was his answer. Okay then we'll go again said my wife. to then sit and wait for another 2 hours to go and eat dinner we thought was a bit too much. So we went. A bad review, no turnover and also for dinner we will never come back here again. Unmotivated staff they didn't feel like it today.

Previously good experiences here. Now invited by a friend here. Special menu due to booking via Social Deal. Extremely friendly young lady for service. Unfortunately the starter only arrived more than 45 minutes after we had taken our seats. Tasted great by the way. After this the service asked if the main course could come straight after, which we thought was fine. Again it took quite a long time and when it was served the hot dishes were all cold … This was reported and it was said that there were several complaints about cold dishes. We received new containers with hot dishes quite quickly after this, except for the yakitori skewers and the shrimps. Fortunately the two of us had a nice time but I thought it was a shame that it went like this with the long wait and then also cold food.

Too bad you can't eat a la carte as a larger group, because 'the food doesn't come at the same time'. If half of the group is still waiting for the other half, you're missing the mark. I thought the set menu didn't do justice to the versatility of the menu, too bad. The food itself was OK, but the price-portion was meager. If we hadn't ordered double portions of fries, it would have been too little.

Had a delicious meal again, together with the neighbors and friends. It was great again and highly recommended, nice, cozy and friendly staff. But the owner (Jan) is also a great person, he regularly comes by to have a chat. We have been eating with him regularly for 5 years.

Huge tasty and fun experience. Food was great. Concept of sharing fine. Not all parts of sushi were out of stock at 8 p.m. Operation nice and smooth!

It's a bit of a shame that the website states that you are open at 12.30 pm and that we are told upon arrival that lunch is only available on Saturdays and Sundays. Drove to Vreeswijk for nothing. This experience significantly undermines the positive feeling after a visit (evening) a few weeks ago.

We were here on Wednesday evening April 2 and had a really delicious meal! We opted for the street food menu where we were able to eat many different and tasty dishes like a rice table. Everything was very tasty, but the rendang deserves an extra mention! Service very friendly and professional, ambiance was great and the food, as mentioned, excellent. Highly recommended!!

Great meal. No more, no less. No noticeable flavors. Basic prepared dishes. There are restaurants nearby where Asian flavors are better served. Friendly service, but also some inexperienced staff. Pouring red wine into a glass that contained white wine. Serve plates on cutlery. That's really not possible.

Food tasted great and was served beautifully. But we were so surprised at the way of serving. You had just finished your drink or plate and it was immediately taken away and when you ordered the next round it was served too quickly. This made us feel very restless, even when we took dessert and had just finished it, it was taken away straight away. It didn't feel comfortable and quiet eating out.

Had high tea with some friends this afternoon. Highly recommended. Delicious food with all very tasty dishes. The high tea is slightly different. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is cozy and the atmosphere is good. Really worth a try.

Als eerste is de beoordeling goed, maar er kon alleen gekozen worden uit: gemiddeld of heel goed. Gezellig restaurant aan een leuk straatje aan het water. Het eten was lekker een een leuk concept (shared dining). Helaas was de rijst van de sushi te hard (al dente). Het personeel was vriendelijk, zelfs een beetje ‘te vriendelijk’. Terwijl we nog aan het eten waren werd gevraagd of er borden weg konden waar nog eten op lag. Flesjes drinken wilden ze meenemen waar nog voor de helft drinken in zat. Er werd gevraagd of we nog wat wilden bestellen en dat wilden we wel maar toen was er haast want de keuken zou over 5 min sluiten. Dit zou ik dan wat eerder aangeven. Er werd gevraagd of we nog wat wilden drinken nadat we net 1 slok van onze hete thee hadden genomen. Al met al een gezellige avond gehad en lekker gegeten maar we kregen er wel een opgejut gevoel van. Dit heb ik wel als hinderlijk ervaren…. Ik schrijf nooit recensies maar vond dit wel noemenswaardig ter verbetering.

We dachten even een lekker avondje te gaan eten (met vriendin) totdat we ons aan ons eerste gerecht zouden beginnen. Op de beef tataki zat een dode vlieg. Echt zo goor! We waren meteen klaar met onze eetlust. Aangegeven bij personeel, reageerden amper… Geen sorry of niks. Hebben onze spullen gepakt en zijn weggegaan….hier nooit weer!

Still no response, still a strange experience! Good Food food okey, but promise doesn't make debt. Read the menu otherwise you will pay many percentages too much. Because the invoice showed that various dishes had to be paid extra. It is also on the menu, but when the waiter says "you can also read the explanation if you don't understand it". We understood what was said, so I'm not going to read it, BUT then the message must be honest. After an email from me, someone from the business called back and indicated that the explanation was indeed incorrect and asked for my receipt. Put this on the app and was able to collect the difference amount. To retrieve ?? At this time, bizarrely, I gave my account number etc. on June 30 and have not heard anything yet. You don't have to anymore, but think before you start Good Food!! No response at all is ALSO telling. Good to know that Vreeswijk has many other restaurants with good food, but above all good service and honest information.

Had a nice meal on Tuesday, it was not busy.

The food comes from the freezer. Never had such a bad meal before. Sit at the table with 6 people and get 8, 5, 10 or 3 snacks. Even the fries were super bad. All small pieces and fried way too hard with a small bottle cap of mayonnaise. It was very pleasant.

Het eten komt uit de vriezer!! Met 6 man aan tafel zitten en 8,5,10 of 3 hapjes krijgen. Nog nooit zo slecht gegeten. Zelfs de patat was super slecht. Allemaal kleine stukjes, te hard gebakken met een flessen dopje mayonaise. De sate heb ik geproefd, maar niet doorgeslikt. Het was verder wel heel gezellig!!!

Heerlijk gegeten weer ,samen met de buren en vrienden. Was weer top en echt een aanrader , Leuk , gezellig en vriendelijk Personeel. Maar ook de eigenaar(Jan) is een topper , komt regelmatig langs om een praatje te maken. We komen al 5 j regelmatig bij hem eten.

2024: (for 2023 see below) Food is still tasty, but the service left a lot to be desired. Even though people did their best. Too few (trained) staff for the number of guests, which resulted in empty glasses/nothing to drink for a long time, too long times between courses, the order of the courses was illogical and, for example, we received the same dish twice. Hopefully this will improve back to the old quality in the future and 5 stars again! 2023: Definitely a restaurant to come back to! Delicious dishes. The 5-course menu is highly recommended. Staff very friendly. The only pity is that no (free) tap water is served. In addition to all the drinks we drank, that was a nice addition 😉
