The Harbour Club in Apollobuurt

Went for dinner, had to wait 20min for them to give us the menu, some of the waitresses were rude, I asked for still water and they gave me sparkling, when I asked to get a change they took 30 min to get me the water I wanted. We were there for 2h in total waiting for everything. Not the best experience.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! Amazing from a to z!

Really cool venue, but 11 Euros for a Heineken pint is disrespectful and embarrassing.

In my 70 years of experience, I've never been treated so disrespectfully and rudely in a restaurant. While clearing the table, my jacket was stained with soy sauce, and the manager promised to pay the cleaning bill. I submitted the bill, which was only €12, to the floor manager. I've now been waiting five months for a refund. I've emailed the manager several times, but haven't received a response. I've filed an official complaint, but no response. Harbour Club clearly doesn't care about its customers. This is unbelievable.

What a disgrace! Never again. After our order was delivered incompletely. Drinks were forgotten several times. The rib-eye steak was almost as hard as the sole of my shoe, and after the first bite, I felt like a concrete block had landed in my stomach. The icing on the cake was that it went so wrong that I had to throw up in the parking lot. What terrible service! It truly makes my heart bleed. Chaotic, bad food, overpriced, overhyped. And that's not even mentioning the parking fee of at least €25 per car. Different servers, none of whom know anything and have to chase up the order. Half the table got half their order, and the other half was forgotten. Truly bizarre! Never again. Save your money and your peace of mind!!!! Tip from Flip: the music is way too loud!

Great place for lunch, food is of good quality, fish and peking duck pancakes for sharing plates. We had a really great waiter, unfortunately there seemed to be a staff change over during our lunch , resulting in just 1 floor staff left working. This resulted in a very long wait for food, as well as attention. Despite the long wait and inattentiveness, we still had a good time catching up and luckily we weren't in a rush this day.

We had an absolutely wonderful afternoon at The Harbour Club Zuid! From start to finish, everything was perfect. We enjoyed two delicious starters, two beautifully prepared sushi rolls, a main course with both fish and meat that was cooked to perfection, and a delightful dessert to finish it off. A special thank you to our waiter Leonidas, who made the experience even better with his warm personality, great recommendations, and professional service. We’ll definitely be coming back soon — highly recommended!

Amazing dining experience. Everything was delicious! I recommend you try the loaded fries as a side dish. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Sometimes good, sometimes less so. So a bit of a roulette, so if you don’t order anything too complicated and just stick with the snacks, there’s less chances you can get frustrated or disappointed. It’s a nice vibe by the water though

Family lunch for 7 people, all aged 75-80. The food was delicious, but the fries and sandwiches were served after the food was finished. The service was fantastic. The restaurant wasn't busy, but there were plenty of staff. We were served at the table by at least five different people. This lunch was at the Apollo Hotel because we grew up across the street. We came from all over the Netherlands. It was a bit pricey, so we expected €510, but it was pricey. However, the biggest disappointment was the €59 parking fee for three cars. You'd expect free parking from a renowned restaurant.

We liked the place when we saw it from the outside few days ago. It was so cool, it felt like a romantic canalside spot. We made a reservation for dinner. Actually, we wanted a spot right by the canal. However, when we arrived, even though there were people sitting there, the staff member who greeted us said the downstairs area was closed that day, but we figured there were people. She responded as like, they'd come in the morning or lunch time etc. when we asked how about tomorrow she responded as ‘’it depends’’ So, they put tables next to canal but you will not sit there . Anyway we sit at the entrance part outside but was far away from the canal and not happy already with the approach. Therefore instead of having dinner just changed to a drink. Same staff left the menu which’s inner pages were not there and we had only the wine menu while we were thinking to drink cocktails Nobody visited us afterwards for 15-20 min. and we left the place as we had enough sign regarding the place therefore made best decision to leave and didn’t eat/drink anything..

I dined here with my husband months ago. I hesitated for a long time about posting this review, but I just can't let it go. How utterly ripped off we were. They want to present themselves as a trendy club, but please, first make sure the service is decent. First, we waited ages for a menu to start. Then we waited ages for someone to answer the door. Then we waited ages again for anything to appear on the table. We ordered a snack; the menu said bread with "various spreads." What we received was barely two pieces of bread with one small container of a spread that we didn't even get an explanation of. Two half-empty glasses of champagne. After another long wait for our main course to be taken (we'd been sitting there for at least an hour), I complained and was told they were understaffed. This, even though I had to contact at least six different waiters that evening in a half-empty place. What do you mean, understaffed? No organization, you mean? The wine arrived after a 25-minute wait (again, after asking twice where it was), and then our main course arrived fifteen minutes later. Our food was scandalously cold, and there was no cutlery on the table. I asked for cutlery twice more, but received none. I had to go and get it myself. After this, we were left even more to our own devices. We had to ask twice for the bill, which was over 200 euros! This for two (half) glasses of champagne, a tiny appetizer, a bottle of wine, a cold main course, and OUTRAGEOUS service. These people didn't see any work and didn't want to see it. There was also a live DJ, but unfortunately, he didn't improve the atmosphere. I also saw many disappointed faces at the other tables around us. I'll never come here again and will never recommend it to anyone else.

The service at this overhyped place is terrible. Two boys wanted to enjoy a delicious meal and a cocktail here tonight to celebrate a birthday, but were ignored, discriminated against, and treated rudely by the waitstaff. My son repeatedly asked if they could see the menu and order. I would have walked out myself in such a situation. The boys remained calm and polite despite the waiter's insulting remarks about fried chicken and suggesting they should go to McDonald's. In the end, they still had a great meal and spent over €200. The approximately 50-year-old waiter should be ashamed of himself. He feels like a million bucks! What a first-class loser he is. It's a shame that people like that can ruin your entire evening. Feel free to call me if you dare!

My husband and I recently had dinner at Harbour in Amsterdam, and it was delicious, as usual! This time we were served by a lovely young lady named Lieke. What a fantastic experience! Lieke was spontaneous, friendly and super cheerful. She made us feel welcome and did her job extremely well. Her enthusiasm and attention to detail made the evening even more special. All in all we had a great evening and can highly recommend this restaurant. Compliments to Lieke and the team at Harbour!

Super good restaurant and we enjoyed the food. The place is stylish and beautiful also next to the water, if it’s nice weather the terrace will be the best. The service there also very attentive and helpful friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing, and the sushi was especially incredible.

The staff should be fired immediately. What's wrong? -slow -no service Literally, they don't give a damn about you. Nice to have you waiting for hours? What a strange woman!! Gordon Ramsey would turn in his grave. Food is fine but this needs to be addressed. Also check the other reviews.

Never experienced anything like this, what a disgrace! Through Amex we were allowed to eat here once, and that's where we left it. Had to ask ourselves if we could order something to drink, to which the answer was, if it's not too much I'll remember it. 15 minutes later still no drink. Up to 4 times in 1 minute? different servers who asked us if the food was for us.... A downright disgrace.

Food great, nice location, service below standard

The worst restaurant experience of my life. I’ve been living in Amsterdam for 10 years, but I’ve never seen such terrible service. Tonight, we waited 1.5 hours for our food. At first, they brought us someone else’s order, which we hadn’t even ordered. Despite reminding them several times, nothing came to our table. People who arrived long after us got their food, ate, and left and we still had nothing. When we complained, they realized the issue far too late. None of the staff made eye contact they were all avoiding it. After 2 hours, they told us they wouldn’t charge us for the drinks, and only then did they finally bring something to the table. When we asked for the bill, everything was still listed on the receipt. This place is cheap and petty. We didn’t care about a few free drinks, but I was disgusted by how small-minded and mistake-filled this restaurant was. I will expose this disgrace on my Instagram account with over 200,000 followers.

Ate here as part of a work meeting. I have a nut allergy and asked which of the dishes we were served contained nuts. I was advised that all of the dishes were nut free except from perhaps the chicken as they could not guarantee the sauce contained nuts/traces of. Until then I noticed in one dish it had something appearing to be a nut. The server informed me that it was a chick pea, but we could clearly tell it was not. It turned out to be a hazelnut. The waiter did apologize and a new dish was prepared for me without nuts. Luckily I noticed this, and thankfully my allergy is not so severe! I post this as a warning to customers with a severe allergy to be thorough and also to hopefully ensure that the staff/kitchen staff are more clear on the allergens of the dishes for their customers to avoid a disaster in the future. Overall food and service was very good, just a shame about this.

Great place, the food was good but not spectacular. The coffee was lukewarm when it was served, probably had been there for 10 minutes before serving.

They were very keen that we understand that for the 3-course menu you should choose 3 courses, not 2 and not 4, certainly not 1 or 5. Beautiful surroundings with boats and canals, very peaceful and nice.

Beautiful location and delicious food. Staff is nice but operationally exceptionally poorly managed. Waited 2 hours of two dishes. Restaurant was at 30% capacity, there were 5 waiters and ALL the tables remained dirty until our departure. Our requests kept being forgotten (like the bill) while the staff was just talking on the side.

We stayed at Apollo Hotel and had an amazing dinner date night at The Harbour Club. The must-try dishes are the beef tacos, oysters with caviar, sushi, and wagyu beef. The vibes are fantastic with a DJ, stunning canal views, and excellent service. A big thank you to Kiki for her incredible hospitality, she made our experience even better! Highly recommend! 🌟🍽️🍷

The Harbor Club Zuid is our regular choice for dining out, and it never disappoints! The service is always excellent; the staff are attentive and really make you feel welcome. The food is delicious and there is a wide choice of delicious dishes, which ensures something delicious every time. The cocktails are also great and match the dishes perfectly. In short, The Harbor Club Zuid remains highly recommended for those looking for really good food, good service, in an attractive setting!

Visited with AMEX offer, the preset menu is good and flexible, good value. Very personal good service. Beautiful space inside the Apolo hotel. The outside terrace was closed unfortunately.

First time trying the Harbour Club in Zuid, since the one in Oost is usually my to-go-to, however, never again. The kitchen apparently forgot to prepare our food, since after ordering, we only received our starters and waited for 1 hour on a main, which was eventually served, after reminding the waiter twice and then got the food very overdone and dry. We ended up not eating it and asked for the bill, which took another 10 minutes and then when we went to the garderobe to get our stuff, there was also nobody there and we had to go back into the restaurant to ask the staff to get the receptionist. What a disappointment of an establishment. Never again.

HarbourClub has been my backyard for a long time because I lived in this neighborhood. Nowadays I live in Baambrugge but yesterday I celebrated my birthday here. I didn't say anything but they had hung balloons and came with a surprise dessert. Super super nice, thank you very much.

Located next to one of the canals, it is an above average place, an extremely well decorated space, with great service, the quality of the dishes is of excellent quality and excellent preparation, and there is also a great wine list. Regarding the prices, they are quite high, but for what you can afford, you would not regret it.

What a wonderful thing. The atmosphere is great, in Herman Brood style... beautiful ambiance. See and be seen a bit. Look past that, because the food is fantastic! The sushi is great, distinctive, but so are all the other dishes! I judge all over the world based on atmosphere and experience, so here too, I leave the price aside... although it is pricey. But that's up to you! The only critical point is the music, if you eat a little later it will be turned up a bit too loud, and if you want to talk then it will be a bit too.... but this is the only point at the moment...

My catering heart bleeds. We come to this eatery after a day of catering. Anyway, that's how it came across. The service was not attentive at all, when I ordered a bottle of wine I had to consult with the maitre'd, after 10 minutes she came back with the message that the wine was no longer available. We had difficulty making a choice and asked the waiter if they had a surprise menu, again this was discussed with the maitre'd. After 10 minutes we were told that this was possible. It took quite a while before we got the first course with some sandwiches. There was no taste to the dip. Soon after, the next course came, the starters. These were superb and very tasty. Sushi tasted great. For the main course we got a tuna steak, of which an average gas station chewing gum has more taste. All dishes were simply thrown on the table without any explanation. To top it all off, we ordered a cheese board, which was also put on the table without explanation, after we asked the maitre'd what we had in front of us we were told; we have been closed for a few weeks. And the cheese board had been changed and not passed on so they had no idea what they had served, even the kitchen didn't know what was on the board…. After paying we received a nice surprise of 25 euros in parking costs. This was not harbor worthy

Nice location, good food, friendly staff. BUT: we made a reservation for New Years Eve many weeks in advance. Asked via Email if they can handle foodallergies and they said yes. The day we´ve been there for dinner was totally disappointing. They were absolutely not prepared for that. No Kick-Off or dessert for me. Only a main course (Sushi). The service was great and they apologized for all. However it was a special day and we expected a great evening in such an expensive restaurant. Especially because we noticed the allergies before. For us it was not a good experience!

Everything was great from start to finish! Service, food and ambiance 10/10! The dishes were really uniquely dressed and fortunately they tasted excellent. They had arranged a small surprise for me for my birthday, which was very thoughtful.

Very bad experience, unfortunately the starter was stated as cold and I received a lukewarm beef taco back, but nothing more was said about it. Subsequently, freshly cooked meat was not served with the main course, but it was eaten. Finally, I told the waiter that it was a pity that the meat was not freshly cooked. get her reaction (you know how it goes but it's over anyway) also forget about the drinks twice for quite a long time all in all a strange evening if your fried Rice is the star of the show something goes wrong in your club my experience the bad harbor club from the Netherlands once, never again

Had a delicious meal yesterday at the harbor club in the south. We really enjoyed it and we ended up eating for €280. The staff is also super friendly and they work hard. Unfortunately, today 3 out of 5 people are sick, probably from the mackerel or the hamburger because all 3 of them had eaten them. Very unfortunate!

Expensive, bling bling, loud banging music. This feels like a place where people go just to be seen there. I did not find the atmosphere relaxing. Would recommend to play lounge music instead. Food - sushi is very very good (but 30-40 eur for 8 pcs!). Steak tartar and burger - nothing special.

Ik ben vaak in de Harbour geweest, maar wat viel het tegen allemaal. Het gehele niveau van eten en de bediening is helaas zwaar achteruit gegaan. Ik zou zeggen; ga terug naar de “basis” en focus minder op evenementen maar op je gasten. Er is genoeg keuze in Amsterdam en op deze manier gaan jullie veel klanten verliezen.
