Yes, mixed feelings. I'd already had experience with Loetje te Laten, which I didn't like. The atmosphere in Amsterdam is good and looks cozy. The staff is excellent and friendly. The food is pitifully small for the price. I ordered steak, and only got steak on my plate. No vegetables or anything else. I ordered fries, which were extremely poor quality. Honestly, the price/quality ratio is disgraceful!!! Parking in the area is hopeless, and I ended up using the parking garage on Zuid-As for 2.5 hours for €33 🙈🤣. No more Loetje for me and my colleagues. There are far better places.

Last night we dined at Loetje. Unfortunately, our experience this time was less positive than usual. We had a reservation for 8:00 PM and ordered both appetizers and main courses. Although the wait times were a bit longer than usual, that wasn't a problem for us. Around 10:20 PM (just after our main course had been brought out), we wanted to order dessert. To our surprise, we were told that the kitchen was already closed. No one had informed us of this, neither beforehand nor during dinner. We also hadn't been asked if we wanted to order dessert. When we expressed our surprise, we were met with a rude response from the staff. When we paid, we wanted to politely mention this, hoping that this could be handled differently in the future. Once again, we received an unfriendly and disrespectful response, including comments like "That's what it says on the website" and "There's nothing I can do about that." The staff member then walked away without saying a word. We found this very unprofessional. Because of this experience we feel we were not treated well and we have decided not to come back unfortunately.

Despite it being busy, we ate at the bar. The welcome was friendly and helpful, and the food was good too.

Extremely poor handling of a complaint. Poor service by disinterested staff, where plates of mayonnaise were piled on top of each other. Result: a grease stain on a new pair of pants. On November 1st, we went to lunch at Loetje in Amsterdam. From the moment we arrived, from taking our order, and from the time we were served, there was no attention paid to us as customers. Plates of fries and mayonnaise were stacked on top of each other, resulting in mayonnaise spilling on my wife's new pants. The chef came over and I filled out the complaint form. When I submitted the complaint, it turned out that the new pants would not be reimbursed, even though new pants are no longer new after being dry-cleaned. During correspondence, they claimed that reimbursement was not possible after consulting with the insurance company, but that was a bit too hasty for me. I was offered a €25 voucher, but I declined. If they had resolved this complaint smoothly, they would have made it a good experience. We won't be seeing Loetje again.

I've never had such a bad schnitzel in my entire life. This kind of food is safe for wolves, but not for humans. Hours afterward, I still had a stomach ache, and even laughing hurt. Check with your supplier or the chef.

This restaurant was a real discovery! The menu offered a beautiful balance between classic dishes and modern creations. I chose a lamb dish that was perfectly prepared, tender and full of flavor. The sauce was both rich and subtle. The service was friendly and professional. The decor was stylish, with warm tones and soft lighting. The music was at just the right volume. The desserts were delicious—I had the crème brûlée, which was perfectly crispy on top. Everything felt thoughtful and well-prepared. A place where quality clearly comes first.

Been here a couple of times — never disappoints. Quick service, tasty food, and tenderloin so good it probably deserves its own LinkedIn profile. 🥩💼 Reservation is essential because this place gets busy — like “half of Zuidas just closed their laptops and came here” busy. We came as a group of 10 and were definitely hogging the table long after the plates were clean. The waitress, very politely and professionally, reminded us that there was a line forming. I didn’t feel kicked out — more like gently guided by someone who truly believes everyone deserves a good tenderloin in life. Great food, great service, and a perfect place to end a productive day pretending to work.

Excellent steak restaurant in the Zuidas district. A warm welcome from friendly staff. The restaurant has an attractive interior. The menu is simple, with steak, meat, fish, and vegetarian starters and main courses. Fries, salads, and/or vegetables can be ordered separately with the main courses. There were six of us, and we all had a main course: two large fries, two large salads, and one fried vegetable. That was more than enough (which would have been too much with the main courses). Free parking is available on the nearby residential street after 7:00 PM (€4.04 per hour).

1.11.2025 I had dinner here with family today. I was shocked by the rude behavior of the young blonde hair staff member. The restaurant may have been busy and it was difficult because of saturday night, but that attitude is unacceptable. She was not professional at all. But two other young male staff members and one young girl with curly brown hair worked very professionally. I can't believe that she was the only one who was rude to customers when they were working in the same situation as her. If can't do it professionally, shouldn't work in customer service. I love Loetje and we often eat at Loetje but her manager should know about her rude behavior today. It was the first time I'd seen a restaurant staff behave like that. I was very disappointed today. I hope the manager reads this review.

I felt very uncomfortable and humiliated 😅. First, when I walked in, I had to stand for a seat, no problem. Then a woman came up to me and didn't make eye contact, just walked the other way and passed all the tables. I just had to "smell" her to follow 😅. I then followed her. Then it took 15 minutes for her to ask me what I wanted to drink. When I got my drink, it took another 20 minutes for them to ask me what I wanted to eat. After the food arrived 15 minutes later, I had a nice, quiet meal and was watching a movie. Then someone came up to me with a card reader and basically told me to "get lost." I thought that was really strange because I hadn't even finished eating yet. I wanted dessert. I then told her I hadn't finished eating and wanted to order dessert. He didn't even apologize, just grabbed the dessert menu and walked away. I literally waited another 20 minutes for him to ask what kind of dessert I wanted; he'd simply forgotten about me. I literally had to call him over!! Then, after that dessert, I had to wait another 15 minutes for someone to come over. In this case, I had to call the woman who had been rude earlier. I asked her if I could pay... then she asked me if everything was alright? I resoundingly said NO! She didn't look at me and walked away to get the card reader and some candy. She completely ignored what I said... and it seemed like she was watching the card reader's screen to see if I could pay. When I got to the door, I saw some guys coming in and being told, "Find your own spot." And in my case, the woman had to follow me around and decide where I should sit. 😅 What a disgrace for Loetje Amsterdam Zuid. **Side note: I'm not a white woman from the South** It probably had something to do with this. Shame on you! 😉

The Bali Salad was a bit cold (the steak) and it lacked quite a bit of jus. Otherwise, I'm a real Loetje fan and I love coming here.

This is a place to have typical Dutch lunch in Amsterdam Zuid. Nothing special, but food is good. Service is a bit slow, but we were there at the lunch time and it was pretty busy, so no surprise.

We went for brunch on a summer afternoon. The service was good, the staff attentive, and everything was served quickly. I ordered a steak—it was juicy and delicious! We had a table by the lake with a beautiful view. I'll definitely be back!

Loetje is in the elevator. The Loetje atmosphere is nowhere to be found here (unlike other Loetjes). The steak is always delicious, especially the Balinese. The prices are a bit high.

Delicious classic Balinese steak, focaccia pastrami, and truffle carpaccio sandwich. The staff was okay, but I don't think everyone was enjoying it as much. Food was served across the table, which I find quite inappropriate.

We thought it would be a nice surprise! Yes, but unfortunately, it was the opposite. The hostess at the entrance was rude. Table service was lacking, not to mention the 70 minutes it took to receive the main course. The price was fair for the modest quality offered.

I had a vegan burger at Loetje Zuidas today. It was so good! Crispy, flavorful (beetroot burger with avocado and fried onion rings), and delicious sauces. The fries were also good, as was the Brand 0.0 wheat beer. My son chose a delicious steak and will order the 195g version next time.

It is nice to see Loetje keeps growing while keeping up to its standards. Employees are friendly, food is amazing and wine card is really well selected. ZuidAs has a really good atmosphere for team dinners.

This Loetje branch is always a disappointment! A steak restaurant, mind you, that can't cook a steak to the desired doneness! My steak always has to be redone! The staff member, Yara, is exceptionally friendly and resolves the issue in the end!

This is a family-like restaurant. The hamburger was very good. The filet was tender and (as was explained to me) was typical Dutch food. It was served with two slices of white bread that you dip in the au jus. I recommend the garlic sauce! Reservations are recommended.

Very disappointing! You have to wait a long time for your drinks and food. The staff was also not friendly. It used to be a good restaurant, but nowadays it feels more like a fast food chain.

This was our second time eating at Loetje. The first time wasn't a success, but we thought we'd give it another try. Unfortunately, we were disappointed again this time. The staff was unprofessional and rude, especially the woman who showed us to our table; she seemed completely disinterested. Whenever we tried to order, we felt like we were bothering her. We found a hair in our food twice. We sent the steak back, and were told they would make a new one. However, we received the same piece of meat back, but on a different plate. This time, there was another hair on it. I didn't say anything about it afterward, as my trust had completely vanished. Luckily, we'd ordered a salad and fries, otherwise we would have left hungry. One thing is for sure: we'll never go back to Loetje.

I visited this restaurant expecting quality meat, but it was a huge letdown. I ordered my steak medium rare — not once, but twice — and both times it came out medium well to well-done. This is unacceptable, especially for a place that calls itself a meat restaurant. Even the waiter noticed the issue the second time, but by then I was too tired and frustrated to keep sending it back. To make matters worse, I learned that the steak tartare meat isn’t even delivered fresh daily — how can that be acceptable for raw meat? Overall, a horrible experience. I couldn’t even hear myself think with the noise, and the quality of food and service did not live up to the hype. Definitely not coming back.

Loetje Zuidas is highly recommended! The steak is always cooked to perfection and the gravy is truly amazing – full of flavour and just right. All variations are delicious, whether you go for the spicy Bali, the classic Original or the garlic variation. It is always cosy and comfortable. Good atmosphere, friendly staff and consistently high quality. In short: a top address for a wonderful evening out!

Mecand my wife ordered the Tuna steak.It was ok but very expensive, served with no vegetables, and the sauce was terrible. Really, they have to improve this . Service was ok, but the atmosphere was missing .Will not book again .

We ate Loetje's delicious steak with sauce on both 31.05 and 02.06.2025. The garlic and Bali sauce is amazing. If you like it a little spicy, Bali should be your choice. Sweet potato, beef carpaccio, shrimp croquettes and crème brûlée were all delicious. The only meaningless thing was that on the evening of Saturday, 31.05.2025, at 21:00, the unused accessories on the table started to be collected and a warning came that they were closing, and at 21:30, they even took my wine glass that was not finished yet. On the evening of Monday, 02.06.2025, at the same time, the interior was almost completely full. Since it was a weekend on Saturday, the approach was not ethical at all, but we were there with my wife for a special date, and on Monday evening, we went for my daughter's graduation thesis celebration who is studying at the vrije.

One of the lesser Loetje locations. No matter how you order your steak, it is always a surprise how they cook it. Haricots Verts were to cry. Staff fairly inexperienced, a bit smart.

We always get the classic loetje steak in medium rare. Most of the time it's really good, however, it feels like lately they changed their recipe (not that it's bad, just tastes different). Make sure to take the mushrooms and onions to put on the gravy, optionally toasted bread too! Sweet potato fries hit the spot every single time. I prefer to take truffle mayo instead of aioli, as it enhances the taste both of the fries and the truffle. This isn't my favorite but my boyfriend always takes sticky toffee for the desert. It's very moist and warm, can be served with whipped cream if you ask. Sometimes it's very busy (usually in the evenings), so they take a while to get your order. Overall I really like loetje, even if it's pricey.

Tenderloi steaks are really good but the vegetarian beef steak was a shocker. You won't believe it until you try it yourself.

We had a group of 4 people today and they literally made our celebration the best event ever. AMAZING service provided by Inga! PERFECT meat and french fries! Puur slecht. Taai vlees en een smakeloze hoop groente op het bord. De serveerster was vriendelijk , na mijn klacht kreeg ik een briefje van de kok met een verontschuldiging. Onderbezetting enz. Cenamos una noche, ya que nos alojamos cerca en nuestro viaje. Estaba bastante ocupado cuando llegamos alrededor de las 6:30 pm. Sin embargo, la espera por la comida no fue demasiado larga. Comí la hamburguesa vegana por primera vez y estuvo bastante buena. Las patatas fritas también son buenas. Ambiente animado y hay asientos fuera de la terraza si quieres disfrutar de la fresca noche de primavera.

We were here just yesterday and despite the better rating on google review, i find the food and service very bad. I will attach a picture where the steak were not cover by sauce by instead oils. The service was not friendlt as well, i understand that we have limited to stay before next table but the way the server asked us to leave and pay was unacceptable.

I ordered a medium cooked steak bali, what i received was for sure not medium. When I asked the waiter, he told me “Bro, ik zeg je eerlijk, is een perfecte medium”. Meanwhile the cow was still mooing. I didn’t bother going into further discussion because there was no point. They deducted 15 Euros from the bill, which i was thankful for. However, service, quality, vibez, bang-for-buck, flavor, non of it was there. All-in all, worth the detour, if you enjoy bad food.

Loetje is losing its authenticity and nowadays looks more like a fast food chain. Family lives near this location, so we will eat here sometimes. The last time we were here the quality of the food was really sub par (especially for the price). Soggy fries (not crispy either), half a piece of bread with the Burrata and a steak tartare that looked more like cat food than anything else. I'm sorry. The adjustments to the menu do not really contribute to improving the image. The home made lemonade and ice teas are something to write home about! All in all, I'd rather eat out somewhere else when I do choose to spend that money. The reviewiste
