Extremely friendly and patient folks. As an absolute beginner, i got a proper introduction to the concept, and how to handle the glasses. Recommendations: Mortlach 16 (single malt), Peated Mule (cocktail) Update: They were "closed for summer", then closed down without notice, had to find out from a realtor's insgagram post that the owner has moved to Utrecht

This is amazing! Even beginners get to enjoy a thorough introduction to great whiskey. I went there over six months ago, and the whiskey recommendations from the owner at the time took me from a mildly fanciful Japanese whisky to Campbell's Peated. Thank you!

I’ve been coming to the Malt Vault for a few months now, and every time I have a great experience. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable, you can drink not only Whisky but also delicious cocktails. They are sorted based on strength and sweetness and have a lot of different variations. The price is definitely appropriate for the high quality of their drinks and either way comparable to other places in the city. Definitely worth a visit 🍸

Travelled from the UK to The Hague to meet friends, booked here well in advance due to being a Whisky fan. Absolutely fantastic service, knowledge and selection on offer, a delight and unforgettable experience. I went for the top tier sliders of whiskey and was extremely satisfied, the measure in each glass was generous, beautifully complementing. I will return here if I am ever in the area and perhaps one day, who knows, they may expand beyond Netherlands, I certainly hope so!

I am a major whiskey/scotch lover. But more than the selection of drinks, I seek connection, passion, and experience. The Malt Vault is amazing, and I have been to the Society vaults in Edinburgh. What makes it amazing? The selection, the 3-tier menu, none of this choosing a scotch/whisky/whiskey, solely based on the price. The owner, Said, wants you to experience his passion for whisky. He makes it accessible for everyone. Please come to the Malt Vault even if you’re not a fan of drinking pure alcohol. This place is built on passion, not profit. Five stars isn’t enough. Thank you, Said, for creating this place, for letting us in on your dream.

It's a fantastic place for a whisky efficionado or new drinker alike. Staff are super helpful and knowledgeable. Food is delightful and the atmosphere is great! You can also hire it for events. The owner is great!

During our visit to this whisky bar, I must mention that both the male bartender and Antonia were incredibly knowledgeable. While the atmosphere was somewhat lacking in excitement, Antonia's entertaining and engaging personality truly stood out. We ended up staying longer than planned, savoring a flight of Bliss whiskies and some delightful cocktails. Kudos to the staff for their expertise and Antonia for making our evening so enjoyable!

Want to experience an immersive whiskey-evening with a fine selection, in a cozy atmosphere? These guys know what they’re doing. Had a great night enjoying both lighter blends and smoky singles - served with a yummy cheeseboard. For someone who usually does not fancy that many cocktails, one of my new favourites is the owner’s special; The Grumpy Old Grandpa. Will contradictorily enough turn you into A Delighted Old Grandpa. PS. There is an adorable cat named Bunna roaming around - makes this place that much more special 🐈‍⬛ Cheers!

Will definitely be back. What an amazing adventure into whisky. This was the highlight of my trip to the Hague. If you haven't been, you should plan a trip and definitely make the Malt Vault a priority. You won't be disappointed.

Un posto magico, sia per chi apprezza il whisky o degli ottimi cocktails. Il servizio è eccellente, così come l'ospitalità del titolare che ha sempre qualche storia da raccontare. A lume di candela c'è Bunna, il gatto che intrattiene gli ospiti. Un locale da non perdere.

Went to the Utrecht location. Easily best whiskey & cocktails in town. Bartender knows the origin of every whiskey he served. He was explained taste profile of every whiskey. Price is very reasonable. I had very good whiskey and cocktail experience here. He has a large collection of whiskey. So if u looking for an experience your at the right place. Its a little bit hot inside so having ac installation would be nice.

Excellent cocktails, whisky and service. Their whisky selection is epic and they have tasting sets for multiple budgets. The only disappointment was not using clear ice on the cocktails.

Super recommended if you are a whiskey fan. The guys here know everything about it and are very please to share all their knowledge. Also the snacks are very tasty.

The cocktail (Grumpy Old Man) was absolutely delicious, had a bit of a bite that took it over the top, and the variety of single cask bottles available to choose from was stellar. Would definitely come back for another cocktail and another flight.

A great find during our brief visit to The Hague. One of the largest whisky selections I've ever seen and a very knowledgeable bartender who curated a terrific flight for me. In addition to the whisky selection, some great looking cocktails and small bites. Definitely worth seeking out when you're in The Hague.

Excellent service, let’s start with that. We were greeted warmly by the host. He helped us through the menu and the concept. They were so attentive, we never had to worry about the refill of water and they came by every so often in a very non intrusive way. They have a wide selection of drinks, especially whisky. The hosts also made the drinks and you could request anything. Small bites were also delicious! Did I mention that there is a cute cat walking around as well? For me that was a pleasant surprise. And to finish it all of they walked with us to the entrance and opened the door when we left…how attentive! Kudos to the British lad that helped us!
