Super delicious fusion menu. Great service, nice and warm atmosphere! Highly recommended!

The food was outstanding - we went for the 3-course menu and really enjoyed the sharing platters.

The Traveller Zuidoost is one of my favorite place to visit. They have great selections of wine with interesting meal concept. But I keep going back there because of the SERVICE and good VIBE.

Its a good place to dine. I went with my colleagues and its was fun and we had nice time with food and talking. Food is good not alot on menu but what's there are really good.

We’re regulars, absolutely love the service! Top notch for the area, good quality kitchen and high quality cocktails. So…1 star… you’re wondering: why? I’ll tell you: literal glass in our drink, my fiancé got a “oh, sorry about that” and that was that. She thought it was sugar at first and tried biting it at first before realising what it was. No compt drink, no genuine care about her well-being…I don’t think they even threw the glass away. Cocktail tasted good tho. 10/10 “cheesecake” cocktail. But we won’t be back.

What a lovely place! Helpful and knowledgeable staff. And let's not forget: the food was really good! Pricey, but worth it.

The Audacity to Ask a Customer to Leave We just had the biggest mistake of having what was supposed to be nice team lunch at this restaurant, and what an experience! The manager or a guy claiming to be the owner (though I am not sure) brings four bowls of soup to our table. Being the polite colleagues we are, we gesture for the other person to be served first. Apparently, this was a crime against humanity because the guy nearly slammed the bowl down, muttered complaints under his breath, and then went straight to the only Dutch person at the table (the rest of us are non-Dutch, so if he had an issue, maybe address us directly instead of playing coward). He then tells our Dutch colleague that we’ll be asked to leave if we don’t follow “the owner’s order,” because, you know, as the self-proclaimed owner, he has the divine right to serve however he pleases. To top it off, he throws in a “doe normaal.” If you’re a sensible person, you can already picture who’s normal and who’s not. Bonus points for being racist while running a business that relies on serving non-Dutch customers. I feel sorry for this guy's agony that how hard it must be for him. If you’re irritated by customers politely pointing at each other to be served first, maybe horeca isn’t your calling. Anyway, this place is overpriced, so I rarely go unless colleagues insist. But this? This was hands down the most unpleasant horeca experience I’ve had in this country. So, dear “owner” or manager guy: get a grip. If I could give negative stars for your attitude alone, I would. 0/0 recommend. :)

Excellent restaurant, good atmosphere and top service

Very impersonal, and the coffee took a long time. And what coffee shop doesn't have a latte macchiato?

Great place! Service was on point, friendly and quick. Food was delicious as were the cocktails. We had a great time. Also really close to the concert halls so if you want to have dinner before a concert definitely get a table here as well. We will definitely be coming back here and will check out their other restaurant at Amsterdam Zuid.

Nice place, but best suited if you are more than one . Most of the menu is for sharing. Got the beef was okay but bit cold.

we got busy time, food serving was quite low, waiters drop food without asking who have what. We were 9 people. Food was delicious, served nice, but for price, I could say little but high for portion. But welcoming place overall.

The separate room is an ideal place for an informal business lunch. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, good food.

I dined here yesterday before a concert at the Ziggo Dome. The Traveller is a beautiful, modern restaurant, and the bar was especially eye-catching. A fun shared dining concept with surprising flavor combinations. And the staff was friendly. I'll definitely go back for my next concert. Highly recommended!

Surprising food and very friendly service

Lovely atmosphere with nice music (fortunately not too loud, you can have a normal conversation) The food never disappoints and the service was top notch, they regularly came to ask how things were going.

I had a set menu for 2 with Amex. I do not eat raw fish and meat - I left a note with the booking. The waiter did not ask us about any food allergies and restrictions in the beginning. They also did not ask us about how we would like the steak to be cooked (I prefer well done). They served raw tuna as a starter and almost raw steak as a main dish.

I was there for the first time with a few colleagues. It was well-organized, had shareware dining, and the food was delicious. Reservations were required.

The food is really outstanding. The size of the dishes is ok if you are not really hungry. If you are a big eater, I recommend to order at least 3 courses with some sides. Take the time for this dinner and start with drinks and some food to share. Awesome ‘finger food’. Plenty of parking across the street; bus station across the street as well. Great place, enough space between the tables for privacy. Absolutely great for a lovely evening with friends and family.

Delicious food and excellent service. We ate at Ziggo before the concert, so we didn't have much time, but the food arrived so quickly that we still had time for a particularly delicious dessert!

Such a great restaurant! We came for the Amex Dining for 2 experience and it was LOVELY. You get to try several different dishes. We had Tuna tataki, sea bass, bavette, sweet potato fries with redang, and fruit sorbet. Every dish was delicious! The tuna was my favorite, I highly recommend! The space is big, decor is really interesting and the ambiance was very gezellig (warm and cozy, despite its size). I would definitely recommend this restaurant, and I will likely come here again myself.

Great food and very accomodating for different diets and allergies

I wanted to like this place so much since I pass by very often and it looks nice from the outside but 1) they didn’t read the note in our reservation 2) the food was mainly bland and overpriced 3) service was slow but on top of that we couldn’t make eye contact with one of the waiters, no matter how hard I tried. I assume the waiters have serve specific tables or something like that. So avoid unless you work at ING and you don’t mind charging bland food to the company card.

Delicious dishes perfect for sharing, a cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff. And just around the corner from the train station. A prime location to visit before or after events at the Johan Cruijff Arena, AFAS Live, or Ziggo Dome.

Tuna Tataki was one of the best I’ve had, a true flavor explosion. The staff were efficient, friendly, and made the experience enjoyable. Cocktails were okay, but the food really stood out. Highly recommend The Traveler Zuidoost for a great dining experience!

I found the three-course meal truly mediocre. The starter was fine, though. For the main course, we had the bavette. Besides being very sparsely presented, the meat was also way overcooked. The staff didn't even ask beforehand how the steak should be prepared. I didn't think the dessert was anything special either. Furthermore, the seating was completely uncomfortable. I didn't have a good experience at this restaurant, so I definitely won't be returning.

We usually choose Traveller for our group events, and during our last visit we had reserved a table for dinner as a large group. However, after just one hour, we were asked to give up our table and move to the bar, which was unreasonable. The staff were also not polite in the way they asked us to change tables. I suggest to ask before you start to dinner how long you can sit on the table.

I've been coming here for quite some time and everything is TOP here, the food, the ambiance, the delicious wines and the staff is always friendly and helpful!

We had lunch here. We were helped immediately upon arrival and were given a choice of seats. The weather was nice, so we could sit inside or outside on the terrace. We chose to sit inside. The waitress was friendly, and we were quickly served with drinks and food. The price-quality ratio was excellent. The atmosphere was pleasant. We stayed in a hotel next to the Ziggo Dome, and it's not far to walk from there. If we find ourselves here again for a concert, we will definitely return.

A bit of a fancy but casual looking spot. The restaurant is clean, modern, there’s lots of tables. Good for a social gathering, but since it’s a bit loud I wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a quieter corner. The staff was friendly, attentive and adjusted the ingredients according to my requirements with no issues. The food was pricey but I guess it’s because of the location. I had a poke bowl which was made fresh, but was rather small and nothing really extraordinary. My friends ordered different dishes and their portions were also small. The price portion ratio is bad.

A delicious lunch, in this case a chicken bara and sea bass, but you can also enjoy a wonderful dinner. For dinner, the experience menu is highly recommended.

What a wonderful place to enjoy a fantastic meal. Lovely place, great atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff, but especially the food from the kitchen is heavenly! In short, a must-eat if you're in the area. If you're going to a concert at Afas or Ziggo, avoid the clutter at Arenaplein and the train station and walk a bit further for a wonderful experience.

Good food, lots of premium choices and a nice place. On the pricey side though. Because it is always very busy it is very noisy, that is why I give the atmosphere 4 stars, but they can do little about that themselves. They already have screens to reduce the noise.

Travellers is go to lunch place in Zuidas.

One of the best restaurants to eat in the area. We were a group of 8, the restaurant was very busy due to the concert in the Arena. The service from the staff was excellent and we were also impressed by the quality of the dishes. Everyone enjoyed their meal and there was no complaints. This restaurant a level above most other restaurants in the area and I would definitely recommend it.

I wish I could give six stars for the customer service at The Traveller. The attentive and helpful wait staff keep us happy and well-fed for our entire visit and we are already looking forward to our next trip to Amsterdam so that we can visit again. The food was great, too, and the decor was fun but not overwhelming. Just a terrific place to come for "drankjes en hapjes" before a show at Afas Live.

Went here for lunch last Saturday. Friendly help from the two gentlemen, definitely worth repeating. Very nice that they thought along while ordering. A real pearl in southeast!

First we enjoyed an aperitif on the terrace and then went inside for an extensive dinner. My boyfriend had the pornstar martini, unfortunately the head was missing. Furthermore, the cocktails were tasty. Food was fantastic, everything we had was top in taste but also in presentation! Nice wine list, a bit pricey but with the excellent service and the nice, relaxed atmosphere it is worth it!

Really very tasty food, the surprise menu is recommended. Large portions and incredibly tasty and varied, with meat, fish and vegetables. Service is very sharp and fast. Inside and outside many places. Recommended!

We were here on June 30th with 8 people. Despite the crowds they had everything well under control, the food was really good and the service very friendly and service oriented. You don't experience that often anymore. Absolute recommendation!!

Really nothing special, bland food, overpriced.

Took one of the exploratory options of having 8-9 small dishes (consisting 3 courses) where each meal had something unique from across different cuisines. The food was both interesting and delicious, it lived up to its name of being a journey. Each dish felt distinct and seemed to have their own ideas going on. Given the region, the price is quite reasonable for the kind of food you get. The atmosphere and feel of the restaurant was also pleasant and fit the broader picture.

Amsterdam prices, but the food was all amazing. Staff also nice all the time. Perfect spot for afterwork, specially if it’s sunny to enjoy the terrace.

For a change, we stayed until closing time this time, instead of having a quick bite and then going to Ziggo Dome/Afas/Arena. Both are very doable. No starters/main courses, but smaller bites to share ("are you familiar with our concept?"). Quality is fine, service ditto.

WARNING DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!! We ordered 4 side dishes to share, approximately 12eu per dish. We also ordered the 100 gram steak as dish, assuming based on the menu, it would be 12eu per 100 gram. Now they write on the menu, sneaky on the wrong place, it starts at 700gr, thus 84eu. No one mentions this to us even when we get the dish, while they clearly knew we only ordered 100grams. We didn't pay attention to this. Didn't expect an establishment like this would do this type of thing. Basically, we had to pay 90eu for the steak, which we expected to be 12eu. We finished it, not thinking that it was more than 100gram, why would we? Because we ordered 100gr! When we mentioned this, they said "yeah its written on the menu minimal 700gr". It looked more like a contract with the devil, writing the important things hidden from the price. Sadly, they didn't even offer us anything, except yeah too bad for you and a drink on the house, while we were planning to leave. Terrible way to do this to guests!!! Do not go here

Super cozy tent. I come there more often when I am in the Netherlands to meet customers. Definitely recommended.

Perfect ambience and service is 100%

Tbh wasn’t expecting much considering the RAI expo encapsulates. We came as a large party and everyone walked away happy and full. The service was amazing. I only feel bad I seem to have forgotten our waiters name because of his generosity 🍷. Food was terrific. We sat upstairs; really nicely designed with lots of huge window panels to give it an airy and spacious setting. Highly recommend. And I’ll update soon as we’re back which should be soon.

We ordered the dry-aged steak of 700 grams for about €70-€80. The food was delicious and it was worth the price as the steak was enough for 2 people. The service was great, Sanjana (the waitress) was very friendly and helped us quickly every time.

I don't often write a review but I hope the restaurant reads this so they can improve. Unfortunately a disappointment. Service is poor and disinterested. We sat on the terrace and ordered two small bites of dishes with our beers. After ordering the dishes, there were few staff outside and about six of the staff stood together at the bar chatting. There was about 10 minutes between serving the 2 dishes. So I sat and watched my friend eat his dish. I walked in to ask where my dish was, But I got a sarcastic 'oh what an annoying thing that can happen' from the young lady behind the bar. This was anything but hospitable. The boy who paid us was very friendly, he understood the situation and took a beer off the bill for us. We knew the Traveler through a flyer in our mailbox and loved coming there. You pay quite a bit for it and we expect a bit of service in return. We hear from more and more people that things have deteriorated considerably and now we have seen it ourselves. It's a real shame, but we will eat somewhere else from now on.

Very tasty meal prior to a concert in the Ziggodome. The food tastes really good, especially the Sweet Potato Fries with Rendang are a real highlight. I will definitely come back ❤️
