Theatre Cafe Vrijhof in Wijk 04 Enschede-Noord

Terrible. I saw a sign with 9.95 for a meal and at the cashier I had to pay 24,95. Because it was an all you call eat. At 18 hours, I would say normal dinner time they had hardly any choice: spare ribs or chicken legs, fries and some salat. The salad was unhygienically placed in an open bowl next the pay terminal, with 4 or 5 spoons floating in it and almost empty and soaked in sauce. Still, the chicken tasted like plofkip cheap chicken, the salat had sand (!) in it so I couldn't eat without sand grinding my teeth and the fries were mediocre quality. I felt ripped off for a meal that I wouldn't even touch for free.

It's an acceptable option for people who want to eat on campus. But don't waste your money on chicken bowl!!!!!!!!! Otherwise, you will get disgusting uncooked rice.

The place is nice, but the current menu is very limited: just burgers, and they're not even very tasty. Sorry.

Excellent and good service. Cozy and atmospheric.

Good place to grab dinner when you don't want to go simple mensa as a student. However, they no longer have a dish of the day and their menus cart has become quite small over the years, which is a pity. The food itself is good though!

It's a nice place for lunch and brunch at the UT campus.

Nice and cozy place at uni :) I tried their tiramisu which was really good and pretty cheap too. I always get the iced tea. The staff is always nice as well.

Nice food for a good price. However, they could sometimes really use some extra staff as the waiting time is quite long just for a lunch.

Sinds overname is de hoeveelheid eten te krap en is de kwaliteit van het eten niet beter geworden terwijl de prijzen wel zijn gestegen. De bediening blijft echter wel in orde en de sfeer is gezellig, daarom 3 ipv 2 sterren.

So slow. One of the waitresses let us wait for almost half of an hour, so you will get your food in one hour. Drinks is fast.

I guess the food there is pretty good, in general. They were kind of hesitant to offer an vegan option when i asked for one, you have to buy something from the menu to be allowed to sit there, and they play the radio really loud during weekends, so students do not go there to sit and study (which i assume, they do on purpose). Overall, for a restaurant it is good, but for a facility at a university it is pretty bad.

The place is nice for a coffee or meal with friends, but the price is not not friendly to students.

Earlier this was a nice place for food-to-go, but since the new caterer has moved in it seems only table service is possible. The few times I visited the service was slow and my dish was served incorrectly once, luckily the food somewhat made up for this. I would still visit here, but only if you have the time, which is a shame since earlier it was also great for a quick lunch.
