A very cozy restaurant in the heart of Roombeek. Surprising location. Excellent lunch. Easy-going and cozy. The service was exceptionally friendly.

A great location for a party, for example. We had a party here for our 25th wedding anniversary with 33 people. It's a cozy location, friendly staff, and delicious food and drinks.

A lovely place for a relaxing lunch. The menu is surprising (especially the dish names, hilarious). The service is good, and the food is delicious.

I came with children, we thought we wait a very long time ...people came in after us and they had the menu and were served before us... We saw some of ours plates waiting on the bar..one was missing...so the first plates were cold when all arrived... As same time. The food was really good, but i think we waited too much. And i think the price is a little too expansive.. We still enjoyed the moment but i am not sure to come back.

Good food, but very expensive for the portion size. An average of 16-17 euros for a single slice of bread with some very tasty toppings.

Very expensive, and you only get plain tonic. The tonic is served from a large bottle. I returned the tonic, but unfortunately, the second one was the same. For the price they're asking (very expensive), they really should serve drinks from a glass bottle.

Great place, very good atmosphere and delicious food. Service could have been slightly faster, but definitely worth coming back to.

I just went there, and a woman helped me right away. I got half a free iced tea, eight bitterballen instead of seven, and I didn't even have to pay for one, and the mayo was completely free. The staff were very sweet and friendly. The atmosphere was lovely. Small but cozy. Nice music, not too loud, but not too soft either. The bitterballen were delicious. Homemade. Best, Tim

Jesus, that's awful. We sat there because it looked like a really nice place to eat. We ordered a gyro sandwich. The service was very friendly, but it took a very long time to be served. This isn't a big deal, but the food was absolutely terrible. We expected to get what we ordered. Unfortunately, the taste was very strange, as was the texture. We called the manager, thinking the food was spoiled. It turned out to be vegan and made with jackfruit, which wasn't listed on the menu. And we didn't even notice the little vegan sign, which was so small. The manager didn't come to our aid, which I find very disgraceful. We had to pay the full price. This was a one-time deal, never again. For the vegans among us, give it a try; just ask what it's made of, because it's not listed! This is definitely a tip I want to give this restaurant: list the ingredients if it's vegan. And if this does go wrong, at least don't charge the full price. We will definitely never come back there

After a quick google search we came here. What a surprisingly beautiful/nice place in a residential area, children can play nicely in the playground. Delicious coffee and tea, scones, eggs and more!

Located nicely in the neighborhood! Substandard food: small menu, small quantities. Taste just enough. But fries didn't taste good: oil was old, bad aftertaste! Today we had another delicious lunch and caught up with a friend at Doorn en Doorn. What a beautiful place in the middle of my Roombeek neighborhood. Lovely atmosphere and food that looks beautiful and tastes good, unfortunately the chicken was a bit on the bland side, but that didn't spoil the fun. It was fun again from all sides ❤️

Very bad. Half a cup of lukewarm coffee, was not asked about milk and/or sugar. Grilled cheese sandwich at €10.50 each with thick slices of cabbage and a nasty spicy sauce was unacceptable.

Slow place with quite high prices. If they could fix the service, it would be 4 star.

Cozy place with tasty food, surprising menu! Very suitable to go with children, there is a playground and you can easily park because it is in the middle of a residential area. This makes the atmosphere pleasant and quiet. ☕️💕

Met 30 personen een feestje/reünie geboekt vanaf 16 uur. Stampotbuffet erbij, ervan uitgaande dat we hier de hele avond konden blijven. Bij het uitzoeken van het eten werd tussen neus en lippen een tijdstip van 20:00 uur genoemd. Dit werd niet nogmaals benoemd in de schriftelijke bevestiging. Ontvangst was prima, buffet opgesteld in verkeerde volgorde en sommige dingen was te weinig, zakelijke bediening, zachte muziek en om 19 uur werd ons duidelijk gemaakt dat we om 20 uur weg moesten zijn. Dit terwijl op de website 00:30 uur als eindtijd staat. Kortom; zeer teleurstellend en duur betaald. Zeker niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Went in here for coffee during a walk. Nice service, there was an atmosphere. 11/8/2024: Had a party with sister and brother-in-law with about 40 people. It was well organized and well supervised by staff with snacks and drinks. Top. 👍

In a nice place in Enschede and around the corner from our house. Nice place to go for a drink and possibly lunch. The card is specific and somewhat limited and very expensive. The food is good but expensive therefore 3 stars for the food. Otherwise just good! The playground and football field are great for the children!

High tea on Sunday afternoon: The weather was beautiful so we could sit on the terrace, which was full and there was a pleasant atmosphere. The table was beautifully set with floral tableware, perfect for a high tea. Although unlimited tea is served, you cannot choose which flavor* is chosen and you always have to wait until the pot is replenished. There were four of us, and the teapot produced five small cups, so all in all we had 3-4 small cups. The eight different dishes/snacks** were beautifully served and we enjoyed it very much. The cake and scones were a bit on the dry side, but that was compensated by the cream on top. Although it seemed like more than enough food, all four of us were still hungry afterwards. We thought this was a shame. We therefore ordered another drink, the "snack street boys" and the Nachos. This has made us good. All in all we spent €37 per person. Personally, I think the €27/28 is just a bit too expensive for what you get; €24 feels more appropriate. *We received the following tea flavors: Chakra/Positivity tea, hibiscus tea and elderflower tea. ** We got: spinach soup, small orange-banana smoothie, mini omelette, half a slice of bread with vegan fillet Americain, 1/3 beetroot wrap with hummus and eggplant (it was a bit bitter). Slice of lemon cake, cube of carrot cake and a scone.

The place is very nice specially when it is sunny. However, the sandwich with chicken was too dry. Some drink like Aperol or Lemonade is taste less. The Aperol was literally orange sparkling water. Do better when you change so much for your products.

Yesterday we sat on a terrace at Van Doorn en Doorn. A nice place to sit, but what a disappointment this turned out to be. I don't like to write bad reviews, but we have never experienced such treatment with customers in the Netherlands. We felt like having a snack and ordered the risotto balls. So far everything went well. After some time we were served five meatballs. However, when we took a bite, we discovered that they were still frozen inside. We stated this neatly and it was promised that it would be resolved. Ten minutes later we received three burnt balls back. This was not very nice, but we could condone it. When we went to pay, the full dish was on the bill. We explained that in the end we had only received half a dish, but the waiter claimed that we had eaten the two balls. That was impossible, as they were frozen. In addition, I had ordered extra drinks twice, which never arrived. Out of leniency, they eventually charged half the amount for the balls, but only after a discussion about whether we had eaten them or not. I think it's a strange way of dealing with your customers. Van Doorn en Doorn put us in a situation where they should be deeply ashamed of themselves in court, and yet after a discussion we had to pay the costs. In short, despite the beautiful location, this was a very disappointing experience. I hope they improve their service and quality so that future customers get a better experience.

We sat on the terrace and had a very good lunch. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, order for 7 people was remembered without any problems without writing it down ;-). I regularly visit Van Doorn en Doorn and find the place incredibly relaxing and pleasant! Soon again:-)!

A nice restaurant in the neighborhood of Enschede. The outdoor area was perfect for enjoying the sun in the summer. The waiters were helpful and answered my questions really well. The food was tasty, and the prices were affordable. Recommended!

A place where you can sit with kids in the summer! Changing menu and there is a nice atmosphere. However, the service is not optimal again this season, and they are not taught how to do it. The owner (wasn't there at the moment) normally only greets people she knows well. We hear people around us cancel orders because it takes so long, tables are not cleared and orders are not taken, you really have to continuously ask if you want something. We are also always shocked by the bill, for a few drinks and a snack... wow! We come here regularly because the place is so great, but we are always annoyed by the poor service on the terrace. When are you going to do something about this? It's such a nice place!

Always delicious with a versatile and surprising menu

Wat een parel! Weer een verassing want van de buitenkant zie je het er niet van af. Veel te lekkere tosti’s en broodjes. De matcha oats waren net iets te zoet voor mij maar de kwaliteit is mega goed en de prijzen zijn ook nog heel erg redelijk voor wat je krijgt. Ook de drankjes en smoothies waren lekker. Hier komen we zeker terug!

Erg leuke plek om naar uit te wijken buiten het centrum. Naast het boerderijtje zijn twee leuke speeltuintjes te vinden en daardoor is het ook erg geschikt om erheen te gaan met kinderen tijdens een mooie warme dag.

Wat een knus en gezellig restaurantje. Heerlijk gegeten.

Iemand die om een lactosevrije ijskoffie vraagt en dit ook wordt beloofd gewoon koemelk geven. Het was een erg gezellige lunch... op de wc. Excuses kwam er ook moeizaam uit.

De aanleiding was verdrietig maar het team van Tori heeft er voor gezorgd dat de pijn wat minder is en wij op een waardevolle manier afscheid van mijn vader hebben kunnen nemen. Nogmaals een super team, heel erg bedankt voor jullie warme uitstraling en bediening echt, dat doet een mens goed 💞🍀

Ik was in eerste instantie niet heel enthousiast toen ik hoorde dat we hier gingen eten. Ik ben geen vegan en ik lust af en toe best een stukje vlees, maar ik was zo enorm positief verrast! Op verzoek passen ze iets in het gerecht aan (ik reageer slecht op champignons en kikkererwten), het eten was er snel en de bediening was super vriendelijke en behulpzaam. En dan als laatste de super gezellig plek en aankleding. Werkelijk een enorme aanrader!!

Vandaag hebben we genoten van een heerlijke high tea bij Van Door en Doorn. Echt een aanrader! Het zag er prachtig uit en wat een pure smaken 😍

Gezellige plek voor een lunch/brunch of een borrel/feestje. Erg interessante lunchkaart met leuke namen voor de gerechten, maar ook erg lekkere gerechten

Ik was hier voor een zakelijke lunch. Prima gerechten met een verrassende ‘touch’. Leuke bediening dus al met al een goede ervaring.

Heerlijke lunch, mooi terras in de zon of onder een parasol. Rustig genieten, zelfs een mini beach is aanwezig. Personeel zeer vriendelijk, zeker een aanrader, ook voor vegetarische gerechten

Super locatie voor een goed ontbijt of lunch! Enorme keus aan verschillende gerechten met vele opties voor verschillende diëten. Zelf heb ik mimosa’s gedronken en de granola ontbeten. Heb er ontzettend van genoten!

Wij hebben geluncht op het gezellige terras, bediening is vriendelijk en gastvrij. Hele leuke sfeer.

Muziek was knetterhard, op vraag of het zachter kon geen reactie. Ook bloedheet, maar mocht geen raam of deur open ivm lawaaioverlast voor de buren. Tja, hoe moeilijk kan het zijn.

Heerlijke lunch op mooie plek op het Roombeek

Genoten van de heerlijk lunch, gezellige rustige omgeving waar je van ziet dat er met zorg en liefde wordt gewerkt. Kleine maar heerlijke kaart, voor ieder wat wils.

Ik heb hier bonnen gekocht voor 10 personen, 30 euro per persoon. Ik heb ze bij Doorn gekocht en ook hier bij de kassa betaald. Ik zou met de bonnen kunnen betalen bij zowel Sprakel in het Bos als bij Doorn. Toen wij met ons team van 10 zorgmedewerkers eindelijk uit eten mochten zijn we hier gaan lunchen. We konden echter niet met onze bonnen betalen. Doorn zegt je moet naar Sprakel in het bos en andersom. Heb hier dus 330 euro betaald voor niets. Geen van beide restaurants probeert ons tegemoet te komen. Hier gaan we dus nooit meer naartoe.

Honestly I really wanted to like this place, but I went here before and didn't have that good of an experience with the food. But I decided to give it a second chance. Unfortunately my conclusion is that the food is just not good enough for the price. The first time I ordered an 'Eggs Norwegian'. The slices of bread were dry, and it was just normal bread you can buy from the grocery store. In my opinion if you're going to use things in your dishes you should make them yourself, or at least get a high quality provider. Not grocery store quality bread. Then the hollandaise sauce that came with it was way too thick. The texture was like melted cheddar that was drying up. The taste of it was kind of bland too. Then I ordered a slice of chili chocolate cake as dessert but the cake was also dry unfortunately. Then I told them about it and they still charged me for it, which I found strange. Overall I was not happy about my first time there. Now the second time came around and I ordered their house-made ravioli with spinach filling. First of all this costs 14.5 euros, and in total there were 5 ravioli pieces. Literally 5 pieces for 14.5. That's way too expensive if you ask me. I thought if the taste is at least good then it can somewhat make up for it, but it wasn't. The crucial and most important thing of ravioli is the FILLING. The spinach filling was bland and had very little taste. I had to rely on the shaved parmesan that was sprinkled on top to get some taste at all. It was honestly disappointing. I didn't really want to straight up tell them it was bad because it wasn't the worst food ever or something, but the seasoning was just not on point. This place does have a very cozy interior and their drinks are good, and I get that renting certain locations has higher cost and that will have to reflect in your pricing of your dishes, but it still doesn't excuse their lacking in the actual cooking. As much as I like the atmosphere there and the idea of it all, this just doesn't work for me as of now.

Hier passt alles, Service, leckeres Essen und super Cappuccino!!!! Auch wunderbar für Paare mit kleinen Kindern geeignet da ein Spielplatz direkt nebenan.

Super gegeten! Eerst een kopje soep en vervolgens heerlijke zoete en hartige gerechtjes! Veel keuze in biologische thee soorten, leuke aankleding en prettig personeel!
