Amazing place, really authentic Colombian food. I especially loved that the guanabana juice can be made with oat milk.

I have rarely eaten at a restaurant this good. If you are thinking of eating at this restaurant, do it!

When we approached the small store front we were a bit skeptical, however after seeing how busy it was inside we went in and got seated. A waitress attended our table and started speaking in Spanish. We knew we were in for a treat. The food for our table of three took a while to come out however that only spoke to how fresh everything was and how busy the restaurant was. We had a small mishap when I requested two ‘Aguila’ (the recommended beer) but got brought two tequila shots out. Not my usual shot but I guess an authentic after dinner shot didn’t hurt!

We came for brunch for the first time and everything was delicious, the food, and as always, the service. Trópico never disappoints!

Went for the steak (fries) and dorada (fried fish). Both very nice, and surprisingly different and tasty than other places. The atmosphere is nice, and there seems to be a good level of authenticity. Would certainly go back! The lady serving us was very kind and attentive

On my first visit everything was excellent. I wanted to return today, November 1st, 2025, and it was a disaster. I ordered medium-rare and the meat was very raw. The waitress's service was terrible and very slow. I don't know how they can let the quality of service drop like this.

I’m Colombian and came here hoping to enjoy a bit of home — and overall, it was a really nice experience! The food wasn’t fantastic, but it was tasty and comforting. For Colombians living abroad, this place is definitely a little treasure. We ordered a dish similar to Bandeja Paisa, with rice, beans, pork belly, fried plantain, and avocado — very flavorful and well served. The maracuyá juice was super refreshing and delicious! The only thing that could be improved was the steak, which was a bit tough and not as juicy or seasoned as we usually have it in Colombia. The portions were generous, the service was kind, and the atmosphere felt cozy and familiar. I’d happily come back to try more dishes and enjoy another maracuyá juice! 🇨🇴✨

Great food! The chicharrón was nice and crispy, the beans were well-seasoned, and even the side salad was delicious! We were also very happy that they served micheladas :) If we lived in Amsterdam, we'd come more often!

The food is excellent, there's no doubt about it. So that's not what this review is about! Are you looking for a place where you can enjoy a delicious meal and don't end up rushing out the door because the waitress immediately brings the receipt to your table even though you haven't finished eating yet? I find that unfriendly, especially if you have a reservation. You expect to be able to enjoy yourself with your family and not be treated this way.

Food was really nice. Meat was generous. We went for the three person platter and we were only two. It was really nice.

Not a place for a casual meal. The menu is available via QR code, and English is the main language. Everything you order is served at once, so the starter wasn't finished yet, and the main course was already there. So you'll be out again in no time. The staff is friendly but not very attentive. It's more of an insider's place, I think, and I didn't feel at home. More for a quick bite. The pork belly was very good. I've had much better empanadas. All in all, I wouldn't go back.

Got the dorado frito and honestly, I don’t know if it was a one time occurrence but it was one of the best I’ve had. Fish is well seasoned, didn’t need additional salt after a squeeze of the lemon. Cooked to perfection (not dry but also crispy on the out yet flaky on the inside). Saved as a definite return when back in Amsterdam. I recommend, plus you know it’s a vibe when they have music playing in the background.
