We received excellent and courteous service, and they adhered to COVID-19 guidelines. The food was delicious! And we got dessert on the house. This was our third time here!

A Truly Magical Indian Meal at Tulip ​After a week of searching for authentic Indian food in Amsterdam, Tulip was an absolute standout. The flavors are incredibly genuine—I ordered the paneer jalfrezi and butter naan, and both were delicious. ​What also truly sets this restaurant apart is their exceptional service. We made a last-minute change to our order and, to our pleasant surprise, they happily accommodated our request. ​To top it all off, they packed a complimentary dessert of shira (suji halwa). It was a moment of pure magic, as it happened to be a festival day for us, and we were able to offer the sweet to the God. The shira was absolutely delicious and the perfect ending to our meal. ​They even offer a thoughtful 10% discount on takeaways, which was very helpful. Hats off to the team at Tulip—keep up the fantastic work!

The best Indian food I’ve ever had. The staff is so nice! Even if you’re not a big fan of spice, they will make it less spicy for you or spicier according to your taste! I love it!

Dinner was amazing! We had the chicken korma and the butter chicken with a garlic naan and it was delicious. Service was excellent and so attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Found this restaurant while walking along Amstelveenseweg on a wet and windy day. Ordered two curries not expecting much but damn were we delighted! The lamb madras was super tender and tasty. The chicken vindaloo had a serious level of spiciness. Service was friendly and prompt. And a bonus - I found a serving of rice added to my doggy bag! Thank you :)

Hicimos una reserva, aunque a las 7 pm de un sábado parecíamos ser los primeros huéspedes. Pedimos dos entrantes, pero el segundo se olvidó y solo un recordatorio lo trajo como guarnición. Tanto los entrantes como los dos platos principales y el naans sabían bastante bien. Tratar de llamar la atención para una segunda ronda de bebidas o para hacer el pago no funcionó; tuve que salir a arreglar el pago.

Always the go-to restaurant for us in Amsterdam. Food is extremely tasty and people are very friendly. I highly recommend the saag-paneer and Navrathan korma as one of the tastiest. Robin, who served us was an energetic young guy and very courteous. The ambience is simple, yet very welcoming and cozy. All in all a lovely restaurant with yummy food.

Dejlig indisk mad. Tjener var meget kompetent og guidede os gennem retterne. Jeg var advaret om at 2🌶️ er spicy, og det er det. Tør ikke prøve 3🌶️. En meget populær restaurant med mange menesker og meget trafik ud og ind. Musikken er høj og lidt ensformig. Jeg kommer igen da maden er meget god.

Our favorite Indian restaurant. Enjoy every time. The chicken Kadahi is highly recommended and the butter chicken is also delicious. Add butter naan and onion bhaji and that's it. The owner and service are also top notch. Highly recommended!!

The butter chicken with rice was really good, as well as the naan and non-vegetarian appetizer. We also ordered a tikka chicken plate, which was good but not great. It was a little dry and the flavors weren’t very prominent. Overall good experience and the staff was very nice and helpful. Would come again!

My husband and I went here yesterday for evening snacks. The staff did not behave very well. The entire restaurant was vacant apart from 1 other table, and the staff seemed disinterested in seating us. I am not sure why. When we placed our order, he seemed disappointed that we were not having dinner and made no effort to hide his resentment. We ordered 2 masala chai, samosa and aloo tikki chat. The taste of dishes was subpar. Samosa was very oily and the presentation was shabby. Masala chai tasted average, we couldn't drink it all. Needless to say, we wouldn't be visiting this place again.

Super tasty and nice restaurant. Owner is great and the food is really delicious. Also a cozy atmosphere and that is something I sometimes miss in an Indian restaurant. Price and quality are top. We like to keep coming here.

Everyone needs a good hole in the wall option, that place that does amazing food even if the ambience is so so. That’s Tulip for us. It’s Indian food as it’s meant to be, not watered down for the western pallet but honest, tasty and spicy. We had a coconut chicken and a hot lamb dish and tried various naan, all amazing. The one downside is that the atmosphere is so so as you can see from the pictures, but they also do take away. Another thing to keep in mind is that dining there is not cheap, given the location and the fact that they also cater to large tourist groups. So depending on what you’re looking for from your night out, Tulip could be great. We for one loved a place that distinctly does not cater to the local oat milk hipster elite but just does good food without a fuss.

Restaurant gift card lists your restaurant, but I cannot use it upon arrival. We left. Please know that you are still on it!

Went their with my parents a month back. The service was not good at all. We felt that they do not like if we just order appetizers and drink with no main meal. Our food took forever to arrive and then they took unexpectedly more time (after we were done eating) for the takeaway we had ordered. Not a good experience at all!!
