Fantastic Indian food very close to Centraal station. The menu is incredibly long, but once you find what you like, the food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious.

Because I had dined previously at the other Tulsi location in Amsterdam, my expectations for Tulsi Centrum were high. And I pleased to report they were met and exceeded. The staff was friendly and did not shame us for speaking English and not Dutch. They answered questions about dietary restrictions and even inquired with the chef when they were not sure about an answer. This made us confident in our choices. Our group of old friends ordered a feast. The drinks and food were kept flowing for us, and were quite delicious. I had the Lamb Biryani which was tender, well-seasoned and delicious. My pal ordered some extra sauces and i tried the vindaloo which was delicious and spicy, without melting my face. It was a wonderful, relaxed environment to catch up and laugh. We had a reservation, but it looked like there was tables available for walk-ins for dinner. I highly recommend this spot.

You do not have to look around, if it is your first visit to Amsterdam or if you living here this place is a must visit, they have the food you need , authentic indian food , freshly cooked… thats all i can say.. you enjoy what you pay for..

Sat right down after getting off the train from Zandvoort. Butter chicken, of course, and lamb jalfrzi, wonderful. They have a tandoori chicken Ben so the chicken is divine and the naan is authentic. €78 For two entrees, two appetizers and tea. We will eat here again when we return to Amsterdam.

We come here often; the food is very tasty. The food is prepared quickly. However, it is a bit cramped inside; the tables are small.

The food and service were exceptional! Nidhi and Monica made this experience perfect. We have dietary restrictions -- gluten and dairy free -- and they carefully ensured that our choices were safe, making suggestions and substitutions as needed. (Also, allergens are clearly marked on the menu). The food was flavorful -- the chicken legs were cooked so well, and the gravy of the mango prawns was delicious! Portions were perfectly sized and prices were reasonable. Highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you have dietary restrictions. If you love great Indian food, Tulsi on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal is definitely worth a visit in Amsterdam. I have been here several times now, and it has never disappointed me. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the service was wonderfully quick and efficient. The ambience is pleasant, although the interior is quite simple and could be a little more cosy and inviting.The food is always fantastic, with wonderful flavours. The price-quality ratio is excellent, with great quality and generous portions for a good price.

My wife and I came to this restaurant on our honeymoon holiday!! After a long day, trekking through amsterdam and having some touristty fun, this food was absolutely phenomenal. We each had a three course vegetarian meal, and it was the perfect amount of food for us at the time. Everything we ordered, Saag Paneer, the Dal Soup, the lentils, the naan, was absolutely delicious. Our our server monica was courteous, and helpful and answered all our questions. Cutie! I also tried the Indian beer, Cobra. It was a light lager. Perfect compliment for the meal. I wish that we could have the entire meal again!! Perhaps one day we will. Thank you to the entire staff for being such a highlight on our trip.

It had been quite a while since I last ate Indian food, and Tulsi Indian Restaurant Centrum reminded me exactly why I love it so much. I have eaten many good Indian meals in the Netherlands, but this one gave me something extra. It took me back to India. The moment I took a bite of the chicken tikka tandoori, I immediately said: "We will definitely be back here." The meat was juicy, full of flavor, and incredibly delicious. It was the kind of dish where you immediately notice that the kitchen knows what they are doing. In hindsight, I might have been better off going for the full Indian spiciness, because the flavor was already so convincing. The butter chicken was tailored slightly more to European tastes than I am personally used to, but it was still delicious and very flavorful. The gulab jamun, for me one of the best desserts in the world, was also prepared slightly differently than I am used to, but still offered exactly that delicious combination of comfort and sweetness. What truly made the experience complete was the hospitality. Monica and Nidhi were incredibly warm and hospitable, and meeting the chef, who walked around with a smile the whole time, gave the visit a personal touch. Highly recommended. We will be back soon.

The best Indian food you can find in Amsterdam. Its so flavourful and tasty. Its legit the proper Indian food you can find. The owner and staff are so welcoming and they even recommended me some very good dishes like Bhindi and Dal tadka. Definitely coming back when im in the city again!!!!!!!

Great value for money and excellent Indian cuisine. We really enjoyed the papadams and Samosa appetizer. We had the Tandori mixed grill for our main and it was seasoned to perfection imo. Shared a Garlic naan that was delicious too. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ate at a few places along this area while in Amsterdam for 5 days and I think this restaurant had the best quality of food and great value for meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

One of the best in Amsterdam! The food is authentically Indian and tastes delicious. You can order anything and you are surely love it. I ordered Kala chana curry for the main course and it was amazing. Special mention to the staff here, mainly Monika and Sardar ji (sorry I forgot your name). They will make sure your experience is top notch. The restaurant is well connected and is at a great location! I have already been here a few times and will be my go to for all my Amsterdam visits. To start off, the waitress was so lovely to us and brightened up our day! The food was good, but it wasn't my favorite in terms of price-portion-taste ratio. I was certainly satisfied overall though, and I would come back again.

We were a group of six and worked our way through the menu, from the starters to the main courses. Everyone tried a bit of everything, and we were all very happy. Everything tasted great, although the spicier dishes weren't to everyone's liking. :-) The service was very friendly, and everything arrived very quickly. The food is really good !!!. I ordered bhindi bhaji and bhartha and they were delicious . The restaurant is located very close to Amsterdam Central which make it a very convenient location to dine.

The meal was very good and the welcome was warm. We had two cocktails (not very strong), two appetizers, a vegetarian thali and a lamb thali, and two bottles of beer (note that the bottles are 66cl!) and we paid 143 euros. The staff were very friendly and explained everything to us.
