Delicious food! We didn't have much time at first, so we returned the next day to sit outside with a fire, sheltered from the wind. Even with 15 degrees Celsius, it's wonderful to be at Ubuntu. We enjoyed the atmosphere, beautiful decor, and delicious food. The service could have been friendlier; it was mainly practical this time.

A really great beach bar. The staff is genuinely hospitable. You immediately feel welcome upon entering. The soup and sandwich were delicious and fresh.

Today we had lunch at Ubuntu, and what a surprise! We ordered the tom kha kai soup, a steak sandwich, and the hippie fish roll, along with two fresh juices and a carrot cake. Everything was truly delicious: super fresh, full of flavor, and made with quality ingredients. The portions were just right, and the coffee was also good and warm. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. They even brought a gyoza to try, which was a nice and unexpected surprise. Honestly, you rarely encounter such good service in the Netherlands, or at least not often in Amsterdam and the surrounding area. The food was carefully prepared, with fresh herbs, lemon, radish, pickled onions, and just the right amount of Parmesan cheese. The quality really surprised me, especially considering the excellent prices. Plus, the location is beautiful, right on the beach. Inside, it was pleasantly busy, the temperature was nice, and there were plenty of staff, which made everything run smoothly. All in all, a fantastic experience — a solid nine!

Delicious food and very friendly staff

We had a wonderful breakfast there with our family. Dogs were allowed inside. They even came by with a platter of their favorites for everyone to try. In the afternoon, we got a beer, a mocktail, hot chocolate milk with the kids, a piece of cake, and some snacks. Everything was absolutely delicious! The snacks were delicious and crispy. And cozy and atmospheric! The only downside I can think of was that after we sat down on the terrace in the afternoon, we were asked to sit on the other side, with the other guests. They should have closed off the terrace for a bit. But all in all, it was absolutely fantastic!

Ooh! What a luxury! We were given some high-quality, leftover sushi free with our drinks to prevent it from being thrown away. Now that's what I call service. That little bowl of homemade popcorn, which I suspect you get when ordering an alcoholic beverage, also looked at me with a certain lust. Until next time! <3 By the way, it's a wonderful place to sit with a beautiful view of the sea. It was stormy when we were there, which added an extra touch of dynamism to our visit. It was wonderful to greet the sea and be grateful for what it has.

A week in Zandvoort, and every day at Ubuntu… Simply brilliant: the beachfront location, the food, the friendly and attentive staff, breakfast, lunchtime snacks, and dinner—everything was excellent. We'd love to come back.

I can’t explain how much I loved this place! Spent about 4 hours here cause I just didn’t want to leave! Shared the Mixed Starter, Hippie Fish Sandwich and the Green Salad - can’t fault any of the food! Everything was so delicious! I had the Hibiscus Iced Tea which was lovely whilst I was eating and then later when we moved outside, I had 2 of the Paloma cocktails which were amazing! Ended with a hot chocolate and the others had the rum and coke cocktail that was on the menu whilst we sat around the fire. It is an absolutely beautiful place to sit, not just because it’s by the beach but it’s so beautifully decorated, inside is so cosy and calm and the outside is just as stunning! I honestly could have spent my entire day here but we only got there about 2pm! Everyone who served us were super friendly and really helpful! Absolutely made the experience even better for us! I honestly can’t complain with the prices either, I was so happy with the quality of all the food and drinks we had whilst we were there. We were really lucky with the weather on the day we visited so we had some really nice time sitting outside, but there was plenty of space inside when it did start to rain and cool down a little! I will definitely be revisiting sometime in the future and also telling everyone they need to go! ❤️

Of the many beautiful clubs on Zandvoort beach, this is definitely the best. Excellent comfort food, well-made and carefully selected drinks, and incredibly friendly service. See you next year!

Always a lovely place, especially when the weather isn't so great. Because it was quiet, we even got a free coffee and an extra snack. Very friendly staff. And the lunch menus for just €12.50 are delicious.

The nicest views. Warm and friendly service. The food doesn’t even deserve one star. Bitterballen were not authentic, tacos had raw meat, muhammara had no seasoning. Go for the view, stay for the drinks and service but order light.

We dined here with a group of six, and it was an absolute hit. Upon entering, you immediately sense the great atmosphere: pleasantly busy, stylishly decorated, and with a relaxed vibe. The menu is indeed small, but that's precisely its strength. It demonstrates their commitment to quality and focus. And you can taste it! Every dish served was exquisitely prepared. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients and the care and attention paid to each plate. From the cod, the perfectly cooked bavette, and the hamburger, to the flavorful salads, everything was equally delicious. The service was friendly. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended in Zandvoort.

The waitress was completely unmotivated. She forgot about/ignored us several times. Her answers were monosyllabic and unfriendly. She was also inattentive. We didn't even get cutlery for our meal without asking her again. The people who brought us food and drinks were all very friendly and approachable. Our waitress, unfortunately, was the exact opposite. The food was delicious. Whether you want to spend around €20 on a burger is up to you. There are certainly nicer places. The atmosphere is just that of a beach bar, so it's rather loud. I wouldn't really recommend it.

Lovely evening and delicious food.

Disappointing! The nachos were practically flavorless, with no dip or anything at all. They had a lot of mayonnaise on them, but very little cheese or other ingredients they claimed to include. The mango tango lemonade was tasteless, a lot of water. We will definitely never come back here. I don't recommend it to anyone.

An invitation to a free two-course dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed it with my son! The mixed platter is fantastic, and the view of the sea is fantastic. The service, as always, is friendly and very attentive. Thank you!

A nice place with a good atmosphere. We ordered a beef burger with fries and a lekkerbek with fries. The beef burger was very tasty and the fries were excellent. The fries with the lekkerbek were very greasy and resembled a doughnut. They seemed to have been fried with the lekkerbek. We also asked several times for a sauce for the lekkerbek. After 25 minutes, the sauce still hadn't arrived, and the lekkerbek was cold, even though the drinks were served quickly. After half an hour, it turned out there was no sauce like remoulade or ravigotte. It's a shame about the poor communication. After consulting with the manager, however, a good solution was found!

The atmosphere and service were exquisite, as were the dishes. Very good! Recommended.

Another fantastic evening. Incredibly delicious gyoza (the best!) with gin and tonic—and on such an evening with that view and excellent service. Oh yeah... the music... also very important. Ubuntu... the best!

A wonderful place to enjoy the beach atmosphere in Zandvoort. The flair of the beach club immediately creates a holiday feeling and relaxation. The incredibly friendly service and delicious food and drinks help with this. We spent four days in Zandvoort and went there every day; it simply felt like a vacation. We'll definitely be back. Next time we're in Zandvoort!

Some time ago we stopped at this establishment as part of our walk 🚶🏻‍♂️ along the Zandvoort seafront 🏖. Arriving there around 8:00 PM 🕗, we sat at a free table outside with a sea view 🌊 (during a fantastic 🌅 sunset, by the way). We then browsed the menus 📋 and then opted for two Ubuntu Burgers 🍔 (I assume the house specialty) with fries 🍟 (already included in the dish, I emphasize) accompanied by a couple of drinks 🥤 and a bottle of still water 💧. Due to a mix-up during the ordering process, unfortunately we also received two extra portions of orange fries 🥔 (a local variety with a sweetish flavor); I should point out that we had actually simply asked for the latter instead of the classic "French fries," certainly not as an addition (obviously we weren't able to finish it all). As for the sandwich 🍔, I'd say it was so-so... definitely not the best I've ever eaten. One of the staff members was very kind and, noticing the sudden drop in temperature 🌡 outside (it was also very windy 🌬), placed a sort of brazier 🔥 next to our table (see attached photo 📸 📎). We finally moved inside for dessert (appeltaart 🍰 and brownie piece 🍪) before asking for the bill. Regarding the latter, I feel like making a point, since the aforementioned fries were not deducted from the total (even though we had pointed it out). I'm certainly not criticizing the mistake (mistakes happen in the workplace, mind you...) but the way it was handled. I remember something similar, but with a decidedly different outcome, happening to me a few years ago at a restaurant in Sasso Marconi (Bologna province). The owner made up for it by offering me the "wrong" dish on his own initiative, bringing me the one I'd ordered anyway (I was, of course, very impressed 😯). This time, however, things didn't go as well, but we did get to enjoy a splendid view 🌅 (that's worthy of a 5-star rating ⭐), as mentioned above. Delicious food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff

We had breakfast at the Ubuntu Beach Bar and were overall very satisfied. The food was exceptionally delicious and prepared with great attention to detail. I had avocado bread with bacon (for a small surcharge), fresh spinach leaves, and poached eggs. My girlfriend chose a yogurt bowl with fruit, which was perfectly balanced in terms of flavor and offered a well-rounded aroma. One small downside: the bread, egg, and bacon could have been served warm, so it was unfortunately a cold dish... The coffee was aromatic and full-bodied, and the freshly squeezed fruit juice was very enjoyable. The ambiance is relaxed and stylish, with a direct beachfront location and a wonderful sea view. The service was attentive and friendly, and the overall atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. The beach bar is priced on the upscale side – certainly not for a quick snack, but absolutely reasonable for the quality and care with which the food is prepared and served. Here, emphasis is placed on taste and presentation. We would love to come back!

We had an amazing evening at Ubuntu ✨! The setting is beautiful, both inside and out. Our hostess, Roos, was super friendly and cheerful. All the other staff were also very friendly. The food was delicious; they were very helpful in telling me which dishes are suitable for a gluten-free diet. The butter chicken was delicious, and they even had gluten-free soy sauce with the sushi roll! The lemonades are also highly recommended 🥰 In short: a wonderful beach bar and definitely worth a visit!!!

We had dinner at Ubuntu during our vacation. The online reservation went smoothly, and we received a friendly welcome. Right from the start, we were given a small bowl of salted popcorn as an appetizer. I ordered the butter chicken with black rice. The wait was quite short, and the food was absolutely perfect. After our meal, we were offered dessert directly on a tray, and we simply couldn't resist. We weren't disappointed and could have continued eating even after we were hungry. After paying, we were given a glass of honey rum to help us digest. The staff were very friendly, and the prices are reasonable for the location. All in all, highly recommended!

Ubuntu Beach Club offers one of the most breathtaking sunset views you’ll find—an ideal backdrop for a relaxed, memorable evening. The atmosphere is laid-back yet vibrant, with great music and attentive service that elevate the whole experience. We started with the flatbread Muhammara, which was decent, though not particularly standout. Things picked up with the veggie green chilli burger—every bite was packed with flavor and perfectly balanced heat. The tuna steak paired with black rice was a surprising hit, with textures and tastes that complemented each other beautifully. Whether you're there for the food, the view, or just to soak in the beachside energy, Ubuntu delivers a solid experience that’s worth revisiting.

Because we didn't have a reservation, we didn't get an outside table on our first evening, but were kindly offered a seat inside. However, it was too warm there in August due to the lack of air conditioning. The next day, we were able to make another reservation online for 5:30 p.m. that same day. The times around 7:00 p.m. were already fully booked. Once you have a reservation, it's valid for an outside table, said the friendly employee at the entrance. I went back to him, despite having a reservation, to make sure we could sit outside with a view of the sea. Four of us ordered four beef burgers, a soft drink each, and a portion of special "Ubuntu fries" for the middle, resulting in a bill of approximately €130. The burgers were quite large and very tasty, and they came with delicious fries on the side. It was striking that the waiters were all young. We then asked a member of staff about it, and she said that the manager was also very young. However, this young team worked so well together that everything ran smoothly and very professionally. We didn't have to wait long for our food either. We were absolutely satisfied, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable and would gladly come back!

We're keeping this one! They've got everything perfectly arranged at Ubuntu Beach. Whether you want to lie/sit inside, on the terrace, or on a beach lounger (luxury or standard), it's all possible! We had a wonderful day here on a beach lounger with a parasol (including a windbreak). You can't reserve these, so on busy days you'll have to be lucky or arrive early. You order and collect drinks and food at the bar using a QR code; you just have to pick it up. A few meters walk and you're in the sea. Plenty of privacy thanks to the windbreaks, which is also nice. The food is good (especially the dumplings), and the price-quality ratio is excellent. Friendly staff, nice setting. In short: perfect for a day at the beach!

I've been to Ubuntu a few times now. The very first time, we were lucky enough to have some less-than-perfect weather, and I was with a friend, sitting inside in a cozy atmosphere, pampered by the friendly staff. The service was perfect and perfectly matched the overall ambiance. The second time was with a larger group; I brought my employees, who run my own restaurant, along with me. We also thoroughly enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the delicious food (the tuna tartare is a real favorite!!), and we were able to chat until late. Last time, I was there with my husband, and we sat outside among the beachgoers on the packed terrace. Although the first round took a little longer to be served, completely understandable given the crowds, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed a truly delicious meal. We shared the shared starters and then enjoyed the bavette steak. We sat together for a while afterward. We'll definitely be back!

It was extremely busy and hot, and despite that, all the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Orders sometimes took a little longer, but that was understandable. This was promptly resolved, and we received a few drinks on the house. We had a truly divine meal. Everything was beautifully presented, with beautiful pictures... definitely worth repeating.

It was extremely crowded, but the service was incredibly well-organized. Both the table assignments and the order-taking were very quick. Throughout the evening, the waiters regularly asked if everything was okay or if there were any requests. Overall, the service was excellent. The food itself was rather average. The prices are high, as is typical for Zandvoort, but that's just how it is. The decor and ambiance are actually great. The only criticism was that the music was extremely loud, well above the volume of other beach bars. Even at a table for two, we could barely hear each other, even though we weren't sitting directly next to the speaker.

What a busy day for the Ubuntu staff, but they're incredibly patient and remain incredibly friendly to all the guests. From the girl who greets everyone at the entrance to the one who brings the drinks, everyone is truly friendly and they're having a great time themselves. The quality of the food is also, as always, superb!

The salmon with the scrambled eggs with salmon was really not good. When we mentioned this to the woman who asked if everything was to our liking, she only responded with "Oh, that's a shame." That's such a shame.

The food is fantastic! And it arrives quickly. The cocktails are fantastic; it's a shame they canceled the "Back to Bali" menu, which is what we came for. But it was a wonderful evening.
