Had the lunch special — falafel warm pita, and carrot soup — and it was absolutely delicious. The beachy vibe, friendly service, and sunny summer feel made it the perfect little escape in the Netherlands. Everything was just right!

Very friendly staff who give you the time to browse the menu and are happy to explain what it entails. The food is also excellent. The sea view completes the picture.

The menu could use an upgrade. The atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly. As soon as the clouds clear, we head to Ubu for sunset and a bite to eat and a drink!

Our experience at Ubuntu Beach Restaurant was exceptional. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which contributed to the warm atmosphere of the evening. A group of three of us all enjoyed a delicious dinner that exceeded our expectations. We were treated to an unforgettable evening on the beach, surrounded by a breathtaking sunset. It was a perfect combination of flavor, atmosphere, and stunning views. Highly recommended!

This is THE example how to live life at the beach. Personell is well trained, friendly and have character and humor. Food is excellent and prices as expected. This topped with nice music (NOT too loud, wow!) and a great view makes this the place to be!

Nice atmosphere, pleasant music and delicious food, what more could you want?

A very cozy place, good food and tasty drinks. What bothered us was that we didn't get our first drink until 1.25 hours later, even though we'd already finished our appetizer. However, the drinks were deducted from the bill, which was very polite. The mixed platter is recommended as an appetizer; perfect if you're having trouble choosing.

This is always a place I go to enjoy myself. And I succeed every time. The food, the atmosphere, the music, the sea. I don't need anything more.

The ambiance is amazing! Whether inside or outside, it's beautifully decorated and offers a wonderful atmosphere. The food is really good; there's a lunch menu and a dinner menu, and both offer very tasty food, even if the selection isn't huge. The staff is super friendly, and our dog was always very welcome here. Only when it's a bit busier do some of the staff seem a bit overwhelmed. We've been here several times and would love to come back!

We were there last week. It was packed. It's best to reserve a table in advance. The food was good. The drink prices were too high.

I think I've written a review before, but here's another one. It was overwhelmingly busy. I was already feeling anxious, let alone the staff. However, they didn't flinch. They remained polite, attentive and brought everyone to a table very neatly. Simon, who was walking around in our section, gave us a great evening. No long waiting times, he was interested in who we were, he was courteous and authentic. So, yes, it was crazy busy, but it didn't faze the staff. The Veggie Curry was also incredibly tasty. Ubuntu! Reservations are useful, but if you're inside, you'll have a great evening, with the sunset, a nice meal, Funky Falcon and much more. Thanks Noah and others! Cool spot to watch the sunset and have a bite. The food is nothing special and quite expensive for what is served (quantity/quality) but the environment is great, right on the beach.

It was a little annoying to wait in line to be seated even with a reservation, but the food was delicious and the rest of the service was super quick. Enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. Beautiful beach club

We went here for the evening to enjoy a drink, dessert and coffee while playing a game. Cheese sticks were not exciting and the dessert was okay tasty but I might have expected a bit more. You also start a little bit behind as a business when you come across an empty but not cleaned table to sit at. Perhaps if I had been on the beach all day I would have looked at it differently, less critically. As far as I know it is one of the nicest beach bars, at least, if you like Zandvoort.

We enjoyed the most beautiful sunset here for a few days in a row while enjoying delicious food and drinks and good service. A well-oiled machine with staff who clearly enjoy working there. Really good food and a nice drinks menu! Negative point? They can't do anything about it but when you sit on the benches on the beach with food, the seagulls are your best friend:-)

It's a dream to sit in this wonderful atmosphere and enjoy delicious food when the weather is nice. We'll be back again and again!

It's very busy in the summer, so reservations are recommended. But there's a long line at the entrance. A very young and friendly service team. Absolute beach feeling: right on the beach, the furnishings and decor, and all the service staff are just as welcoming. We felt very comfortable.

The food was good, but lukewarm. The espresso was the same. Hints to the waitress were fruitless?! Quantity over quality, that was different.

Wonderful chilling on the beach, delicious dishes, excellent drinks menu, lounge music.

We were at Zandvoort and we decided to eat at Kayuca. It was full so we walked further down the beach. We found this restaurant at around 19:00. Here is some things they could improve: 1st Issue We sat down and the tables chairs and floor was dirty. That makes sense though because it’s later at night. 2nd Issue When we ordered the food, they didn’t take our order until 19:50 and they didn’t put some of it down, so we had to wait to 21:15 for the rest to come. 3rd Issue When we cut open the meat, it was raw inside, so we had to wait longer to 21:30 for the cooked food to come. 4th Issue The risotto which is basically pasta rice was overcooked so it was all squishy and cold. 5th Issue By the time we finished eating the cold food, it was 22:20. Conclusion I don’t know if the restaurant improved or what, but in general I wouldn’t recommend it.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere at Ubuntu Strandbar! The boho-chic beach vibe is everything—laid-back, stylish, and perfect for watching the sunset with a cocktail in hand. The food was fresh and flavorful, especially the shared bites—great for a relaxed, social dinner by the sea.

Food was just enough, but certainly not special. What was really disappointing: on a hot day I got a beer that was lukewarm and barely drinkable. In such a heat you expect at least something cold. Not worth repeating for me…

Overall, this is probably the best beach bar in Zandvoort. The food is excellent, the ambiance is fantastic, and the service is always friendly and cheerful. Spending at least one evening here is a must during any stay in Zandvoort.

The best Ubuntu fries and overall really delicious food. The atmosphere and decor are top-notch. If it gets too crowded and the music is turned up to full volume, it might be too much for some people. Service is hit or miss, but usually friendly and attentive. I always enjoy coming here.

We had a reservation, but unfortunately the table we were given was far from ideal. Both sides of the seating were fixed, making it impossible to adjust the chairs for comfort. To sit down, we had to completely remove the chairs, squeeze ourselves in, and then push them back—there simply wasn’t enough space. The table and chairs felt far too large for the area, leaving very little room to move or sit comfortably. While the food was okay, the cramped and uncomfortable seating really took away from the overall experience. Dont count on your reservation here...

Good place to have a cup of coffee. Also fun with children, because they can play in the sand. Delicious cappuccinos and fruit juices! Too bad about those people who throw their cigarette butts in the sand while there are ashtrays on the table.

A true highlight in Zandvoort! The ambiance of the Ubuntu beach bar is exceptionally stylish and immediately makes you feel at home. Four of us went there and ordered a variety of dishes – each one was excellent. The spring rolls were small but perfectly formed to start with. The poke bowl was a real hit in terms of taste and exactly what I wanted. The burger was exceptionally good – with just that special flavor you often look for in vain. The Buddha bowl and the green curry with black rice were also completely convincing – fresh, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. We can recommend every dish without reservation. It's definitely worth a visit – 100% recommendation!

For lunch, head to Ubuntu. The terrace is fantastic, with a view of the sea. Delicious, fresh, and imaginative sandwiches. This is the perfect place to indulge.

Good service, good food, good drinks!

The restaurant was full when we arrived. A waiter told us to wait 10 minutes and that a table would be available for us. However, we ended up waiting for over an hour, and still, no table was given to us. What made us particularly unhappy was that this happened twice with different waiters who simply ignored our requests. We asked to pay for our drinks and leave after waiting for an hour. We told a waiter we’d like to settle the bill, but he never came back. Then we asked a waitress if she could check whether a table might be available, and she also never returned. We waited for over an hour on an empty stomach, and when we finally left and paid, no one offered us an apology. The entire front-of-house management felt disorganized and chaotic.

Lovely place when the weather is nice. You have to book in advance, because it is always full. Walking in is not really possible.

The location is, of course, perfect, the breakfast was delicious, and the price is reasonable. The ambiance looks very nice at first glance. Unfortunately, the cleanliness has suffered somewhat. The sofas have stains and small burn marks (?), our table hadn't been wiped down properly and was wobbly. We were given a bottle of water and three glasses at the front desk. Only after the waitress left did we notice that the glasses were absolutely dirty (as if they had been used). I think that shouldn't happen. We'd try a different beach bar in Zandvoort next time :)

After having to ask countless times for a parasol for my son's pregnant girlfriend, it was refused every time. Even when there were several free ones without guests nearby, not one could be added. We sat in the full sun at the longest table. Despite the fact that the drinks were still being consumed, they kept asking if we needed to order something else to drink. And for a child there was only a popsicle (called a rocket) for 4 euros. 6 for 2.10 at the nearest supermarket, no problem. But still, all money at its value. We spent around 400. Without a parasol or a shaded spot assigned

It looks very cozy, nice atmosphere at first glance. Nice terrace. But then you order. After a walk, first have a flat white and a macha tea, which can be ordered via a QR code and paid directly via iDeal. You haven't seen a single employee yet, but you have to immediately choose how much tip you want to give. Then there will be a kind of "home delivery hourglass" so you can see how long it will take. Half an hour for lukewarm coffee and tea. Well, the so-called beach vibe quickly disappeared. So we skipped the cocktails.

I used to come here so often for the amazing food, but today after visiting it’s such a letdown. The main course wasn’t the same quality and taste. And most of all I came for the passion fruit mousse cheesecake, and it’s gone!! Why change the menu! And there used to be amazing blueberry cake, gone too. I lost the reason to come to this specific bar. I come for the food! Bring back the deserts!

Chaos, lacking staff/service, lacking communication (Birthday dinner). 1. We arrived on time for our reservation which was 5 minutes ahead under my name in the reservation system. Since the table was not ready then, we were seated outside in an area with piles of dirty plates and a lot of trash in the sand. 2. After 30mins+ (no service, piles still there and on other tables). It turned out we were forgotten. Then we were told to wait 5 minutes and that somebody would come to bring us to the table which never happened 3. 20 minutes later, the third time I asked, I was told we were too late and there was no table available, " Sorry guys, but we are very popular. Come another time and book in advance." We were highly irritated the way we were brushed off in an ignorant and arrogant manner which, we had the impression, was a common attitude among most of the staff. The staff of mainly teenagers seemed untrained and chaotic. Luckily we could find a nice place where I could have a nice birthday dinner.

Experienced absolute lack of hospitality several times at Ubuntu. Focused solely on generating as much turnover as possible per guest, at the expense of customer friendliness. When we indicated that we would like something to drink, we were refused. Even when we suggested having something to eat, we were told that this was not possible either. We then asked if it was possible to wait for a table, and we were told that we could wait all day. While there were visibly several tables available both inside and outside.

Very nice beach tent! We sat outside by a cozy fire and under a blanket, super atmospheric. The cocktails were really great and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. The entire setting exudes coziness. Highly recommended, and I will definitely come back here again!😊

A really relaxed beach restaurant with a lovely vibe and great play list. Been coming to Ubuntu ever since it opened years ago, and it always exceeds expectations!
