We came to buy some pastries. It was busy, so we had to wait. No problem. Some of the staff passed down the counter, but none said something. Then, after a couple of minutes, finally one said hi and asked us to wait. Couple of minutes later a girl showed up to take our order. Not a greeting of anything. Only an annoyed sounding "ja...". I asked her the flavours of the pastries. She answered briefly. My bf ordered what he want and than I did. We payed and she only packed my order. See picture... she simply took it and threw it in the paper bag. Next time one of the other shops around, with the same quality of pastries, better price, way nicer staff, and decent packing of the pastries.

That wasn't what I expected! I'm not going to bother coming back, especially if you have an item that I can see and want to order, but then tell me it's for tomorrow's customers. That's just not good at all. Also, what we had tasted very average.

We walked into this bakery, not expecting anything special. But we were in for a surprise. The cappuccino was delicate and smooth. The craffin was simply incredible. Ginger cream and airy puff pastry. The bread has a unique flavor because it's made with natural ingredients that you won't find in your average supermarket. The atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable. The staff is friendly. Highly recommended.

Terrible Please don’t go here unless you are me. It’s too good to share 😅 But honestly it’s the best neighborhood bakery. Great music, perfectly paced service - just slow enough to make you feel at home and relaxed. Their bakery items are exceptional ofcourse but I mostly go for the nice coffee

Cute small bakery, i was a bit upset because I went there around 13:30 and most of the items were gone. But i bought sourdough baguette and croissant, both are nice. Will try to visit earlier next time hopefully they will offer more .

Delicious pastries, but service was disappointing. My friend’s coffee took 30 minutes to arrive so we had to drink without her. Staff were chatting with friends, ignored us, and were rather rude. They refused loyalty stamps for all 3 coffees, one stamp per order apparently. Which is the first time I’ve heard that, and I collect loyalty cards all over the Netherlands. Tables weren’t cleaned and there were crumbs everywhere. Tasty, but I won’t be back, plenty of other bakeries around.

Relaxed atmosphere and beautiful decor and very special bread, a must for everyone to go in.

One of my top bakeries in Amsterdam. The bread, the feuilleté, and the flavors are just perfect. The savory tomato danish was delicious, and Ulmus serving good coffee along with the viennoiseries is such a good bonus. Really cute ceramics and atmosphere as well!

This is one of my all time favourite bakeries. Everything is fresh, looks incredible and is so tasty, I'm at a loss for words. The coffee is very good and I love that you can see the whole process of bling the goods. I will be coming here every time I'm visiting Amsterdam.

Croissants were perfectly flaky and buttery and the coffee was excellent as well. Atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is friendly. A great place to enjoy a quiet moment. We are looking forward to future visits and trying more pastries.

Ulmus makes great croissants. I really like the regular one and also the cardamom.

Interesting and unexpected pastry flavors (they hit it right 90%), good coffee and a very thoughtful and curated merch station with ceramics, local artisan products and textiles. Not a lot of seating places inside which is ok in hot weather but is not ideal when it rains.

My favourite bakery in the whole city! Unmatched almond croissant and sourdough that keeps me coming back. I don't want this place to get any more popular but they deserve the recognition.

A wonderful place to buy bread and enjoy a cup of coffee with a croissant. Had a very nice conversation with Hadassa who was also sitting there on the terrace.

I was invited here by friends and what a surprisingly nice place! What immediately struck me is how open and transparent the atmosphere is — you literally see everything. From how the coffee is made to how the dishes are prepared with care. No secrets, just pure and honest. It is also a beautiful melting pot of cultures; you immediately feel welcome here. A little tip for the owner: I think the coffee could be just a little warmer. I used to use the trick of first pouring hot water into the cup to preheat it — maybe an idea to look into. But let's be honest, the quality and taste more than make up for it. In short: a wonderful place to get together, with an open atmosphere and great energy. I will definitely come back!

Upon entering the bakery, I was helped by a young French employee. She seemed a bit disinterested, as if she had had a bad night or just hadn't started her day well. Fortunately, that was more than made up for by a friendly, tall Dutch employee with glasses. Her smile and warm approach ultimately made my experience very positive. The food was delicious and the coffee tasted excellent. All in all, definitely recommended.

Cozy bakery with a beautiful interior and a great range. We chose the bread pudding, made from leftover bread, combined with custard. It was deliciously smooth and not too sweet.

Nice atmosphere and delicious coffee.

Buying bread here is a bit of a gamble; kind of like being gifted a free loaf from an amateur neighbor learning baking at home. Inconsistent quality with under or over baking, too thick, unchewable crusts or burnt out air holes in the loaf. Service is slow and chaotic. The danish are expensive but excellent. Amsterdam has a lot of quality bakeries to choose from with more consistent quality of product and a better price/quality ratio. Here it is best to stick to the trendy pastries as an occasional treat as takeout to enjoy with coffee at home.

Sold out the last 5 or so times we've tried to get sourdough here. At least put a sign on the door when you're sold out of loaves so people don't wait in a long line for nothing.

We had a flat white and cappuccino - both the coffees were kinda watery and a bit sour for some reason especially the flat white, and that ruined the whole experience. On the other hand, the Danish was delicious - pillowy, with right amount of sweetness and very well balanced. The croissant had nice crispiness, and a little bit too doughy inside.

I bought a cruffin and a cinnamon croissant. They were both crispy and delicious. The cruffin was filled with pastry cream and orange zest. It was light, with a subtle buttery taste. The cinnamon croissant was essentially the same pastry without the cream, but covered in cinnamon sugar. I also tasted another spice, though I couldn’t quite identify it. Nonetheless, it was a great experience.

Food was good and so was the tea. The woman who served us kinda blew the experience because she came of like we were annoying her and did not feel like she wanted to serve us. Kinda had a feeling it had to do with my race because to the two white girls behind us she was being friendly and helping…

Arrived at 14:30-15 so there was a smaller selection. Tartelette was dry and lacked flavor depth although looked nice, but cappuccino and service was good.

Always great! Warm bread with lots of different choices, delicious pastries (savory and sweet), and well made coffee.

The pastries were really good. I ordered quite a few and all of them were delicious. My only issue was that I ordered a hazelnut choco croissant but got an almond croissant instead. No matter. That was still really good. The store can get a bit crowded on the weekends but aside from that, definitely worth trying. The coffee is good too although it took a while.

Really really good. Great quality. I have ordered some sweet and salty products. A croissant and a pain au chocolat. Both really tasty with great flavour. I have ordered a loaf of bread. It was amazing. They do not have the slicer but it is ok. A place where there is a super long queue waiting to be served tells you a lot...a place worth visiting.

Good coffee and delicious pastries. There are some seats. Not the most comfortable, but fine if you want to have a quick drink and something to eat. Nice that you can take a look in the bakery.

We had a delightful time. The coffee was a very pleasant blend and the cardamom and sticky caramel buns were very tasty. The atmosphere was bright and airy and very relaxing.

This sourdough bakery is worth a detour! The almond croissant is a winner, but filling. My favorite: multigrain seed bread (seeded city).

The best almond croissant in Amsterdam! It has more than enough, rich filling in a warm, crunchy croissant. Their sourdough bread is also very authentic, and made 100% of sourdough starter. It was still fresh after a couple of days. The interior is very simple, you could also follow the baking the process. They have outside benches to enjoy your pastries under the sun. ☀️ staff is also very kind and helpful, I can highly recommend this bakery, even if it is not located in the city center, totally worth to try it.

Great little bakery with almost perfect croissants. The bakery kitchen counter are all open, so you get to enjoy the atmosphere...tho there is no seating inside. There is a long communal bench to sit. I guess it's ok in summer and not sure what to expect in winter except takeaway.

Ulmus tiene un gran pan de masa madre. Cityseed está muy lejos. También hay muchas delicias horneadas para elegir para acompañar sus cafés. Asientos interiores y exteriores limitados. El servicio es amable🙃

My god. So far, this place has the best almond croissant in town. I go everywhere to try a few but this was a delicacy. You also see the bakers, just baking and chilling. Everything looks delicious. Ideal vibe with ideal breakfast

Yes nice concept. A kind of fortress nine, but on a smaller scale, but with seating areas. Well worth a visit wmb.

Now that Pinks is gone, there is absolutely no question in my opinion that this is the best bakery around this area. Also- they sell beautiful ceramics and amazing coffee from Friedhats, a roaster from Amsterdam west. Recommend it highly!

Nice bakery! I had the krampfen which was good and with a particular cream that I don’t remember. My friends liked their thing with strawberries, also was tasty. Prices are pretty normal, the location is a bit outside Amsterdam city center but it’s in a nice area also pretty quiet. The “kitchen” is open which is pretty and gives a nice touch to the atmosphere. People working there are kind and young! They also have some chairs and table to sit (not a lot of space tho) which is nice because many bakeries don’t have space for you to stay inside.

Best pastry of the year! We waited for 10 mins for the infamous almond croissant (being freshly made and it was worth it! It was still warm with crunchy, flaky pastry and an amazing molten almond centre. Definitely top tier! Thank you guys.
