Cash only. If you don't have cash, you have to wait in line again. If you are greedy and order a big one, it will be difficult. A hidden gem in the city center of Amsterdam. This place has been around for a lifetime (arguably several lifetimes) and despite the huge crowds it now attracts, maintains a sense of nostalgia and harmony. The queue you now often find may look daunting at first, but this place works very quick and efficiently. Their pricing is top notch, that is to say, you will not find cheaper delicacies in all of Amsterdam. A big cone of ice cream for 1,90, a mergpijpje (traditional Dutch marzipan and cream delicacy) for 1,40 and a bag of chocolate and cream truffles for 2,50 - truly extraordinary. I would give it more stars if I could. One side note, it's cash only. Then again, all you need is spare change.

It's a mix of whipped cream and plain ice-cream. I personally liked it. They only accept cash. All the signs are in Dutch only - they have other items than ice-cream but I couldn't figure out what they are - they have a "menu table" with icons only, so you don't even know what the items are. Overall the ice-cream was nice, but the service lags behind.

We and our gang enjoyed the ice cream very much! it was very delicious. But they didn’t have Mango flavored ice cream for my little boy Arthur. We are planning to go to Tahiti for our vacation, but the Pinkertons came to our house and this is our last time getting ice cream because you ratted on us. We had a difficult time getting here because the Pinkertons followed us, they wanted to get ice cream too. Then we had a great time and we ate ice cream all together without any weapons. I came here because I really wanted to try it after seeing a YouTuber say that it was a delicious cloud ice cream. As soon as I took a bite, it felt like I was eating moist, delicious whipped cream and milk-flavored ice cream🥹 The whipped cream + pure milk-flavored ice cream flavor couldn't be bad,, It was so delicious. The icecream is perfect, delicious and unique. The young staff are nice and friendly. However, the old man in there I am not sure if he is the manager or the owner, is extremely rude with customers, if he has psychological issues let him work in the back office not with people!

There are also small desserts other than ice cream, but I couldn't ask what it contains because the owner is very surly. You can ask for ice cream in a cone or with a waffle. I think the price-performance was not good. They should learn how to treat tourists well and hygiene conditions immediately. Owner didn't give a receipt even though he took the money in cash.

In 1937 Gerrit van der Linde opened the doors on the Nieuwendijk and the company has never left or closed. The business is still in the hands of the family and when the weather is nice there is always a line. The Slagroomijs is delicious and special at the same time and is known all over the world.... I still find it a disadvantage that you can only pay in cash. That is why no 5 stars, because you have to move with the times!

This place is a joke!!! If you attempt to take a picture inside, you will get a long lecture from the owner with racist comments. They have a small sign stuck way in the back that says no photo allowed, which I did not see when I walked in so I took a simple picture of the shop just for memory. More importantly, the taste…so this is not ice cream. It’s just heavy cream whipped with sugar very simple to make at home. I can make it better myself. Seems like they make money off of tourists but hate tourists. What an irony…

If someone likes creamy ice cream, this is paradise. There is no choice of flavors but for 2.5 euros you get a large cup of ice cream. There are ice creams in the area with a full selection of flavors, but the cost is at least twice as high and the taste of cream and ice cream is not the same :)

Jammer dat je alleen contant kan betalen want dat geeft een gevoel meewerken met creëren van zwart geld. Voor een lepeltje moet je 10 cent betalen en voor een servetje word je verwijzen naar de HEMA aan de overkant van de straat. Pure geld- machine maar wel top en heerlijk ijs.

Had high expectations for this ice cream because it has such a reputation in Amsterdam, but it was very disappointing. It is certainly cheap by Amsterdam standards, but you can taste that, the tastiest thing was the cone itself... you take one bite and all you taste is half lukewarm cowardly whipped cream with no taste. Meer mensen in de rij zeiden dezelfde reactie al eens van deze knul gehad te hebben.Niet echt klant vriendelijk van de Linde Een hartelijk woord doet zoveel meer.(Vriendelijk "dat hoor ik vaker" is ook een antwoord)
