We celebrated our wedding day at Huis van Marle and look back on it with immense pleasure. What a beautiful wedding venue right in the center of Deventer! The historic and characteristic building has a great atmosphere and is also very photogenic. Thanks to the beautiful spaces and ambiance, very little additional decoration is actually needed. The location is not too large, making the whole experience feel very intimate and personal. Exactly what we were looking for for our wedding. The guidance in the run-up to our wedding day was also wonderful. They really thought along with us, and there was plenty of room for our own ideas and wishes. We were able to visit several times to view the location and go over everything at our leisure. Moreover, because we live in Deventer ourselves, we were able to communicate with each other easily and quickly. On the day itself, everything was taken care of down to the last detail. No one was left wanting, and we truly felt relieved of any stress. We also really appreciated that there are two separate rooms where we could get ready independently of each other, without seeing one another beforehand. And after such an intense day, it was wonderful to be able to finish with a warm bath and breakfast in bed the next morning. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and professional. The food and appetizers were also very tasty, and the service was smooth and professional. Moreover, special dietary requirements were taken into account well, ensuring there was plenty of choice for everyone. The atmosphere on our wedding day was exactly as we had hoped: warm, festive, and above all, very intimate. We were able to use the venue both indoors and outdoors. One of our favorite moments was the ceremony in the beautiful ceremony hall, followed by dinner at a long table outside with all our guests. With the Lebuinus Church and the IJssel as a view, it was truly picture-perfect. A practical point to note is that, due to its location in the city center, you cannot park directly at the venue. Parking can therefore be a bit more difficult on a Saturday. However, for us, this did not outweigh the beautiful central location and the atmosphere of the venue. What really made the difference for us was the combination of the classic, atmospheric look, the intimate setting, and the personal guidance. Huis van Marle truly felt like *our* place throughout our entire wedding day. We would therefore definitely recommend Huis van Marle to couples looking for an atmospheric, distinctive, and intimate wedding venue in Deventer.

From the initial conversations right through to the wedding itself, it felt incredibly familiar. Because of that, we knew we could completely let go during the wedding and that everything would go smoothly. And that was exactly the case! Thanks to the staff at HvM, we had an unforgettable day! In short, highly recommended if you want to get married at a unique location in the city.

We stayed in the Studio Suite at Huis Vermeer. It has two large and inviting bedrooms and a large bathroom. Everything is clean and tidy, and the staff is super friendly. The downstairs rooms and the garden are also beautiful. Highly recommended!

I celebrated my engagement party here and was incredibly pleased. The venue has a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff is very flexible and friendly. I arranged the catering myself, but we were able to use the facilities. The staff set the tables beautifully and prepared everything perfectly, which was a huge plus. It was a fantastic experience!

Mooie oude burgemeesters woning

Een prachtige plek voor een studiedag of vergadering. De ruimte heeft een authentieke uitstraling. Hoge plafonds met kroonluchters en ornamenten. Vanuit de vergaderruimte is er zicht op de IJssel. Je wordt persoonlijk ontvangen. De lunch was subliem. De sandwiches en broodje vonden gretig aftrek. Toen ze begrijpelijkerwijs op waren, werd gelijk aangeboden extra broodjes bij te maken.

Bed and breakfast in het centrum van Deventer. Grote kamer, met aparte badkamer met bad en douche en woonkamer waar ontbijt klaar staat. Heerlijk bed om in te slapen. Vriendelijke mensen en veel privacy omdat er maar 1 kamer in het pand verhuurt wordt.

Prachtige locatie. Heerlijk eten en drinken.
