Van Vliet Stroopwafels in Binnenstad

No longer a cozy shop; I really miss making the real stroopwafels.

Delicious stroopwafel! One of the best stroopwafels I have eaten so far. The flavor and the cookie itself are really good. The only thing I found disappointing was that, in my opinion, there was too much syrup in between. This made the stroopwafel very sweet and also a bit harder to eat. A little less syrup would be better as far as I'm concerned, so that you can taste the flavor of the cookie itself better. Otherwise, it is a nice and cozy little shop. The owner is also a nice and friendly gentleman. All in all, certainly a good place for a tasty stroopwafel!

Attentive service, although I did notice a lack of cleanliness on the table; they served us without cleaning it, with remnants of the previous breakfast and some bird droppings. But the food and service were magnificent; the stroopwafels are so good you'll want to order them again and again.

Great people! Just 2 minutes after closing time, they threw the door open for me and let me buy some chips. I come all the way from Amsterdam for this. Nostalgia!

Had the most wonderful stroopwafel at VAn Vliet today. Delicate and delicious. During my two years in NL I have never experienced a stroopwafel this good. Coffee was great too.

Stroopwafels are inedible. A disgrace to the city of Gouda.

It was the best of the 5 that I tasted in Gouda.

I can’t believe it! The original Goudse Van Vliet Stroopwafels (sold containing palm oil, rapeseed oil, soy, 150A colouring, E500 and a whole lot of other ingredients of which I’m pretty sure don’t belong in the ‘original’ Van Vliet Stroopwafels !?!? Shame on you Van Vliet / Bergs Bakery, this is quite a disappointing commercialisation of a traditional product that doesn’t need all that stuff in it. Why don’t you start offering an ‘organic’ version, instead of milking out a product for your own profit only? Better ask for a fresh stroopwafel, instead of the packaged ones. You might also want to visit other traditional stroopwafel vendors in Gouda, such as Kamphuisen. Their packages stroopwafels do not contain any odd ingredients (such as palm oil)

I had a delicious, fresh stroopwafel here today! Absolutely excellent quality and a reasonable price. We also picked up some apple fritters, which were a big hit with our guests.

Too cozy and too delicious food

On September 27th, I drove to Gouda again to get stroopwafels from Van Vliet. I'd never had one in at least 50 years, but the stroopwafels were old and tasted stale. I know the shop has been taken over, but that wouldn't have affected the waffles in the past, but now they're truly inedible. This was my last time. It's such a shame that such a good product has been ruined.

Best stroopwafels in the Netherlands. The ones from the supermarket are a waste of calories. Markus comes in a good 2nd place ;-)

Delicious fresh super low meal on the bench in front of the business. Nice street, nice atmosphere. Great for a short sit down.

Cozy Gouda with a wide selection of delicious pastries. Indoors and outdoors (sunshine in the morning).

Really delicious syrup waffles, as well as that warm, large syrup waffle and really delicious coffee from an Italian brand, that's how you should enjoy the syrup waffle with delicious coffee, the cups are also handy to go

As always delicious syrup waffles, that's why we regularly drive to Gouda in combination with family visits. Only to drive 147 km for a syrup waffle that is getting smaller and smaller for the old price is a shame.🤔 They should have just made them more expensive, then old customers at least know what to expect. Too bad!!! 😢

Fantastic apple pie with delicious whipped cream. It would be fantastic served warm. But that's just a minor suggestion. The coffee is delicious; I ordered it Irish style. I recommend it.

Van Vliet in Gouda is great! Friendly staff, a warm atmosphere and an impressive, high-quality range. The freshness of the products is top notch, and the employees are always helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Just had a cup of coffee here. So I can't write anything about the food. Sandwiches looked good. Nice coffee. Normal price. Good atmosphere. Old building with a good atmosphere. Staff is good and friendly. And you can buy the tastiest stroopwafels here. It's no different.

They do not deliver as promised, the taste is awesome but unreliable delivery.

Their products have a peculiar taste, it tastes like more Delicious a place to remember with confidence!

Van Vliet had assured me that I would have the stroopwafels at home on Thursday, since I am going on holiday tomorrow for 4 weeks in Asia, I am fishing behind the net, family members like to eat stroopwafels there, so that is not going to happen, while Bergsbakery already sent the stroopwafels on Tuesday. in the mail, shame about such a company, they do not keep their agreements, when they return home in four weeks those stroopwafels will no longer be edible, what a shame

Stroopwafels that I bought last week tasted stale the following weekend. Disappointment! Had good memories of it!

Had a tour and got to make our stroopwaffels. Proprietor is friendly and funny. Their waffles are the best.

Lekker lunchen, maar vooral de enige echte van Vliet goudse stroopwafels, daar kom ik minstens 1x per jaar voor uit groningen, maar ik bestel ze ook wel online
