Good food, friendly staff, and a relaxed atmosphere. Loved the fresh pasta and pizza. A bit busy, but worth it. Would visit again!

Vapiano fue una mala experiencia. Nuestra pizza Calzone solo estaba caliente, no caliente. Se veía genial, había sido horneado en un horno, pero ahora se calentó en un magnetrón. Eso va en contra de mis estándares de cocina. Tuvimos que pagar por adelantado, onknown para mí como una persona de Amsterdam.

If you don't have 3 hours to spare, don't waste your time, the orders don't take less than 30 minutes to arrive, the same goes for the desserts and they made the wrong order at all the tables even though we were ordering on the internet

Had to wait more than half an hour for the ordered pasta and risotto. Food was way too salty. Furthermore, the taste was good. We ate it unlike other guests who left a lot of their pasta!

One of our favorite franchises that, unfortunately, we don't have close by in Spain. After having been to those in London, Budapest, New York or Washington, when we found out that there was one here too, we obviously couldn't miss it. As always wonderful, freshly made pasta, fresh ingredients, fast service and very good prices. Of course it is not like pasta in Italy, but you cannot go with that expectation to any pasta place and with these prices. Simple option if you are in Amsterdam for several days to eat something different from the local food.

I was soooo looking forward to dining here as I love the branches in LDN however I was left disappointed; I didn’t even finish my food. The pasta was stogy - like the pasta was OVERcooked. The garlic bread was delicious. The espresso martini was a great fix. Just shame about the pasta (I imagined to eat out the prawns and chicken from my bowl :) ) there wasn’t any service as everything was ordered via QR code. Hopefully I caught them on a bad day and this isnt a regular occurrence.

Real bad experience. The carpaccio was still frozen. We were half way eating it and some people already got their maincourse. The other half got it 50 minutes later..... ? The pasta was really chewy. It was discusting. The pizza was also not nice. We had some problems with the drinks too. I wouldnt recommend to anyone.

Disfrutamos almorzar aquí. No dejes que el hecho de que se vea súper tranquilo desde la calle te desanime, ya que hay una planta baja donde se sientan otros huéspedes. La mujer que nos recibió fue muy amable. Era tranquilo, pero eso significaba que nos atendieron rápidamente. La comida era agradable - tuvimos la carbonara de salmón que sabía bien y la pasta parecía fresca. El pan de ajo con queso estaba muy bueno, aunque tuvimos que pedirlo ya que se olvidaron de hacerlo. Incluso si el personal no habla muy bien Inglés que hacen todo lo posible y honestamente no deberíamos esperar que lo hagan. Era un precio razonable para el centro de la ciudad y la calidad. A tener en cuenta - si tiene problemas de movilidad pida sentarse arriba, ya que hay muchas escaleras. Está escondido lejos de Rembrandtplein que podría perderse fácilmente, pero nos alegra que nuestro tranvía lo pasó y le dio una oportunidad. Mis hijos (adolescentes) me han dicho que es una cadena muy popular y siempre está ocupada en el centro de Londres, así que me alegro de que hayamos podido probarla sin las multitudes. No dejes que las otras críticas te dejen fuera, soy un comedor quisquilloso (pero me encanta la pasta) y sin duda volvería.

I think the place is generally great for when you want to get a quick bite for a reasonable price without sacrificing flavour too much. I do miss more vegan options and feel like they're lacking in that aspect. Be more creative. Thanks (:

Not a good choice for gluten free people there,our pizzas 🍕 were both served cold... nevertheless in business site is mentioned that penne are a gluten free available choice but finaly this was unavailable,moreover the waiter brought only one set of cutlery 🍴😂,what are you doing there guys? 🧐 Behave like professionals do ..never visiting that place again..

I have a feeling this restaurant hasn’t been cleaned for 10y. Such a pity, because the structure of the place is nice. Maybe this is normal for Downtown Amsterdam?

Vapiano Rembrandtplein Amsterdam: That the goods inspection service has not yet visited there. What a disgusting mess. Visited there with the whole family. By now my family had already finished eating. My order will be delivered after 45 minutes and what does it contain? A hair. Looked like a beard/pubic hair. Can happen. Of course I complained and since I have been coming there for years I decided to give them a chance. Received a refund and a new meal that I took home because it was far too late for the children. I'll come home. There is AGAIN a hair in it. Seemed like they just gave me the same meal. Of course I complained about this. And how you will be spoken to. Really rude. Never again Vapiano!! I still almost break my neck when I think about it. That my children ate that disgusting mess. What perverts

Too long wait. Ordered pasta and pizza. Pasta arrived 25 minutes ago and my pizza didn’t still arrive… usually for two people dishes should come in one time

Although the food was very good but I’m putting 1 star for the shift manager or the person who did lie to me for having a garlic suce that can be put on the bread. Simply, you are Italian restaurant, garlic suce or oil is expected and you do put it on the pasta and accordingly, I can put it on the bread.

Ordered via Uber eats. The pasta was undercooked, the onion was still half raw, the pasta was swimming in cream and tasted of nothing. The worst carbonara I have ever eaten. That they even call it a carbonara. I'm still nauseous after over an hour.

The service took way too long. The pizza was terrible. Way too oily and only cheese.

Vapiano is één van mijn favoriete eetplekken wanneer ik in het buitenland ben. Want jammer genoeg bestaat de keten - nog - niet in België. Wanneer ik in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Koblenz, London ben ga ik daar met plezier en lekkere smaak eten. Het personeel is overal vriendelijk. De eetplaatsen zijn gezellig.

Stopped for the kids to have a lunch. Service was OK, but the pasta was undercooked.

Stopped here for some lunch whilst exploring the streets of Amsterdam. There was only 1 waitress it appeared working an entire floor of what was slowly getting busier with customers. Placed our order via the QR code and drinks arrived shiftly, shortly followed by the food, but no starters. The pastas are a large portion, however the carbonara is the second worst carbonara I’ve ever eaten. Does not taste anything like a carbonara. Overhead the waitress say to a couple “we are an inspired Italian, not authentic”. Arrabbiata was stodgy, felt the pasta had been sat on the stove for too long. Eventually, when the meals were practically finished, our “starter” arrived, to which the waitress stated “i guess it’s more an after than a starter”. However, shame, as it was delicious the garlic bread. Staff were friendly, no complaints of their friendliness, just slow service which is to be expected when it’s a one man show. Very nice inside, cool vibe and calm atmosphere. But unfortunately, wouldn’t recommend. Luckily pricing wasn’t too bad.

Service and facilities were fine, the QR code ordering process was very convenient. However, both of our pastas were heavily overcooked to the point of mushiness and mine was especially oily and bland. The beef in my dish also was too well done. We tried sending our dishes back but they came back basically the same as before. I could only eat a couple bites before I got sick of it. The millimeter layer of parmesan on top did not help.

Pasta and pizza are not very well. Service was quite bad. They served for one person and served for the second person 20 mins later. Also wrong order was served. Atmosphere was good.

I went to eat there today and first of all it took so long for them to bring our drinks and our food while it wasn’t busy at all and there was a bunch of workers just walking around and doing nothing and secondly, I ordered tagliatelle alfredo pasta And when I got my food, it was mixed with penne pasta. My pasta was overcooked and so was the chicken. And after a few bites, I wasn’t feeling well and I couldn’t finish my food, but I didn’t know why until on my way home that I realized that it was the food because I vomited. So I think that explains my entire experience eating there and I don’t think it’s worth the money for the quality of food you get especially when you get food poisoning. All in all a terrible experience and it’s not the first time that I’ve experienced my pasta and chicken (almost burned) being overcooked however, it is my first experience getting food poisoning so I’m definitely not going there again.

I ordered a lasagna and when it arrived there was a little note saying that it was hot and you have to be careful so I decided to taste it as a gourmand except that it was cold then the man who washed the plates was went to the toilet but didn't wash his hands after peeing, even the staff don't eat from them because it's so AWFUL!!! Not going is really disgusting⚠️⚠️⚠️

Disgusting experience just finished in Vapiano Amsterdam. November 1, 24, 4:30 PM. Just found hair in our pasta. We kindly reported this and asked if we could get our money back as we were no longer interested in continuing to eat there. The only option was to order another pasta or send an email to their customer service. Sorry but this is about it for us. There was just HAIR in the food and our money was confiscated.

Completely bottomless! Never again Vapiano in the Netherlands! The bruschetta consisted of chopped canned tomatoes with a bit of basil and garlic. Completely underground and disrespectful.

Took a large group of 30 school children. Handled all orders smoothly and quickly. Roberto's service was calm, efficient and organised. Food amazing!

I have fond memories of the Vapiano at this location, where I used to enjoy tasty pasta. Previously, waiting times were a bit long, but that problem now seems to have been resolved. Unfortunately, my recent visit was a disappointment. The pasta I always order didn't taste like anything this time. I had to season the dish heavily with salt and pepper, but in the end it only tasted like salt and pepper. In addition, the pasta was soggy and too soft, and the only flavor I occasionally tasted was a hint of garlic. To my frustration, I also had stomach problems after eating the next day. I read another review from a dissatisfied customer, and I completely agree with that experience. It would be nice to receive some form of compensation so that I can perhaps try again at another branch. I really wonder what went wrong on this visit, or if Vapiano in general serves tasteless, soggy pasta these days. Anyway, I'm quite disappointed.

We stayed at this Vapiano on our last visit to Amsterdam. We cannot recommend this location. The food was neither worth mentioning in terms of taste nor enjoyable in terms of consistency. A big problem is the size of the restaurant. Too many guests for too few staff. Most of the restaurant is underground. To reach your place you have to walk a very steep and long staircase. The existing elevator is not intended for people with walking difficulties, but to bring the food down. Only the elevator is so slow that the food is cold. It was also not nice that we had to discuss whether our daughter with walking difficulties could use this elevator. The lack of accessibility is also evident in the toilet facilities, which can only be reached via steps and are very small. The order is taken at the table and the food is delivered, but overall there isn't much to say about the service here. There are more comfortable ways to eat in Amsterdam. This Vapiano is - unfortunately - not one of them.

Took over an hour for our food to come. Even when it comes it took 20 minutes more for 3 more peoples food to come. When the food came, it was overcooked and tasted like baby food. All that wait for disgusting food. Staff were also rude and not helpful. Do not recommend.

I ordered a salami gluten -free pizza with extras, and the pizza arrived without the salami and the pizza and everything on it cold. I complained and just got the same slightly heated pizza with salami added. My friend ordered pasta aglio e olio, with bacon, got 2 different pastas in her bowl, uncooked bacon and garlic that was cold. We complained but couldn't get our money back. The quality really went down and the price went up, will never come back here again and I would recommend the same to everyone.

I ordered Vapiano through Uber eats. The pasta is overcooked and smells rotten. I contact Uber, but receive no answer yet. I call the store and they say I have to report to Uber for a refund. I order with grana padano. But I could not see it on top of my food. I ordered bread and did not receive it. I’m not going to eat the food, because it is extremely nasty. If Vapiano would like it back, please let an Uber come and take it.

Please do not eat here if you have any allergies. The staff continuously cut the pizzas with the same knife without cleaning it. Overall a fairly unhygienic service. The food itself was nice, but it also took a while to arrive.

The taste of My favorite dish Gamberetti Al Sugo that was prepared 1st time by Chief Eddy was still in my mouth, so my husband and I decided to return back to Vapiano to give it a goodbye before leaving Amsterdam to our home country. Unfortunately, Chef Eddy was off today but we were so lucky to meet Chef Majed Alomari who prepared my Gamberetti Al Sugo and the Gamberetti e Spinaci for my husband. I am really confused if this time is even better! Chef Majed prepared our dishes exactly the same way we love them to be prepared, they were so delicious and cooked to perfection. Great job indeed by Chef Majed. Thank you Vapiano for making our experience very satisfying each time we decide to dine at your restaurant.

It was disappointing. I ordered linguine and was totally overcooked. I complained and replaced the pasta by spaghetti. Not as bad, but still far from good, sticky cause it was also too cooked. Not coming back.

When we searched for places to eat during our trip to Amsterdam, Vapiano was at the top of the list and appeals to the eye with its concept and layout at the first entrance. The menus that we can choose from the menus for orders or by reading the QR on the table are very nice and descriptive. If you choose what will be suitable for you for all products in advance, you will not get bogged down in details. For example, when you choose vegetarian or halal products, gluten etc., only those types of products are available. Let's come to the after-order service; After ordering, our drinks came to the table without any delay. We were a little bored because it took a long time for the food to arrive, even though the number of customers in the place was low. The pizzas, which arrived after about 15 minutes, were good, at least the dough was cooked well, I recommend you to choose the preferred areas.

Extremely disappointed in this vapiano. A few years ago there was still a lot of fun, now it looks like a funeral atmosphere with the cool white lighting and cheerless service staff. The only person who greeted me kindly was the manager who advised me to sit on the middle floor because it was too busy all the way downstairs. I cooked a lot of pasta when I worked at the branch in Oosterdokskade, but I have never made such a well-cooked pasta that it dissolved immediately when it entered my mouth. My plate was more than half full and I didn't want anything more, but no one asked if I enjoyed it either. They just pick it up and run away. Where is that service with a smile? Really a shame. The system has become a bit more pleasant, but if the food, service and atmosphere are bad, I don't want to come over with friends anymore, then I'd better look elsewhere.

Zeer slecht! Wij bestelden beide een voorgerecht en een hoofdgerecht. Het hoofdgerecht kwam eerder dan het 1 van de voorgerechten. Als hoofdgerecht bestelden wij een Pasta Pollo (kip). Er zaten wel geteld 2 kleine koude stukjes kip in de gehele pasta, toen mijn vriend er wat over zei was het antwoord van de manager: ‘dat is nou eenmaal hoe het is bij Vapiano’. We zijn de discussie aangegaan maar het enige wat we kregen was een zeer arrogante houding. Jammer… geen aanrader!

Wow…been here many times..the place now is horrible unfortunately. Bad dishes, cold food, no portions, and the manager is arrogant (shift september 30) never come here again. Vapiano was so nice the first years, no wonder why they went bankrupt…and again soon.

Service was very slow even though we arrived at 17.30 so not peak time it took well over an hour to be served garlic bread and two bowls of pasta. The pasta carbonara was disgusting, the sauce tasted overwhelmingly of onion to the point of making the dish entirely inedible. When we complained we were told that ‘it had been made to the recipe’ so no money would be refunded, and maybe the issue was because we had added the standard amount of garlic (which the in app ordering system recommended to do). This was a ridiculous response, given we were not complaining of it tasting like garlic. The bathrooms were also very grimy and unpleasant to use. Overall a very poor experience.

Ordered Caesar salad I had to look for the chicken. Where was the chicken?????

We had the Pesto Basilico and Caesar Salad. Both dishes were far too salty. Why put a salt shaker on the table for meals that are already this salty? The taste was also disappointing. Another issue was that the two meals arrived 15 minutes apart, which is far too long. We ordered online while dining inside, and it shouldn’t be rocket science to coordinate the timing so both dishes are ready at the same time, even with different chefs. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Just not what it used to be... I had some great meals at this vapiano in the past, but now the quality of the food is just really poor. Overcooked and way too oily. Also meals that were ordered together (on the same order), were not served together any time. Really sad that this restaurant has deteriorated so much in the past years...

Long waiting time, bad food and bad service. The noodles stuck to each other and the lettuce was brown. The basil on the table was completely dried out.

Place was empty, was directed to seat downstairs, tried to order and pay online 3 times without sucess. Nobody came to help or ask if I needed anything. Left and went to another restaurant. I'm used to Vapiano style and service in several cities in different countries, and no one was like this.

A huge branch, all empty, we sat 4 people, the food took half an hour to arrive, the Caesar salad with old lettuce and not tasty, everything is bad, not recommended.

Says on the website that they have gluten free pasta/ food. Been to a location in a different city where they had it. Just don’t have it in stock at all and some people had already ordered because of the self serve system. Poor form as our friend had to sit there hungry. If there’s no gluten free pasta they should make that clear on the website.

The restaurant was really nicely clean. The staff was very welcoming and give great service. It took awhile until I received my food. But I spoke to the floor manager concerning the matter and he apologize for the delay since it gotten a little busier and he offered me a free drink. The food did not disappoint! I would highly recommend the shrimp pasta!

The worst dining experience in Amsterdam, the pasta was not only overcooked in all of its different shapes (we ordered 4 dishes) but the sauces were poorly made. The restaurant was very dirty and the bathroom was flooded.DON’T GO. Very sad to see that Vapiano has lost its quality.

Good proportion of food and it's quality for the costs. Neither the cheapest options of Amsterdam nor the most expensive ones. Good prices, good service, friendly waiters, cozy atmosphere, nice music. I will definitely come many more times.

Slow and not very clean. It has to improve

Italian fast food concept. Unfortunately we didn't all get the pasta at the same time (20 min difference). Food mediocre. Pasta sticky, too soft. You sit on a hard bench or stool in the basement.

Came with family, partner is celiac and staff were really accommodating. Also they happily came to table to take order as was a QR system but my phone was playing up.

The food was really tasty idk why italians hate this place when vapaiano loves Italian cuisine.

The price of the food is not justified at all. In my opinion it wasn't tasty at all and you couldn't enjoy it. Very unkempt environment and attitude (see photo, around July 2023)

Ordering from the app did not work in the restaurant. Then we were overcharged for 6 pizzas when we only ordered 2. We did get our refund however we paid by card and were refunded by cash which was inconvenient. There were lots of mistakes happening around us with other tables which didn’t help our opinion. Overall good food.

Was served by a lady called Elizabeth, amazing service, so lovely and kind. Food was on point and she went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. Need more people like this! Will definitely come again! Thank you

Long waiting time, bad atmosphere, unfriendly service and very expensive. I paid €13.95 for a Pizza Tonno that was far too warm and burnt, but unfortunately it didn't taste good either. You have to know.

Vapiano has gone downhill. Not very clean, furniture needs to be fixed, wiltering plants on the tables, complicadedqr code ordering. And soggy pizzas.

Ate very poorly (spaghetti pesto / carbonara). In the evening we felt sick in the hotel - we had to eat. Not recommended (although we otherwise celebrate the Vapiano in other places).

What a disappointment to visit Vapiano. The restaurant is not clean at all. Dust on tables and table lamps; furniture clearly getting too old. The concept in general is not what it was a couple of years ago. Too much really too much dressing on my salad, too salty dressing. The brocheta came with excessive tomato, really too much. I could not finish my salad because it seemed that it was a soup instead of dressing, etc.
