Verhage Barendrecht in Wijk 09 Nieuweland

According to Google, they're open until 9:30 PM, but I think the staff would like to be home by 9:30 PM. At 9:00 PM (and maybe even earlier), the deep fryer and griddle are turned off, and they're probably going to be thoroughly cleaned. So ordering after 9:00 PM isn't possible.

Bad experience for the second time in a row. This time I ordered a bacon burger, fries, and a milkshake. The burger was completely burnt black around the edges, and it came with a very small amount of bacon. The portion of fries was again very small, barely filling the container. The fries weren't freshly fried and were clearly already fried for the second or third time. A total of €12.30.

Great food, tasty fries, spareribs, and croquettes. Just a bit drafty/cold air conditioning? Definitely come back.

I've been coming here for 26 years. The current manager isn't kind to people of color. Unfortunately, the adults experience this as a nuisance. I've been coming here for years, but it's no longer fun.

I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with chicken. It was a lot smaller than I'm used to from Verhage, but it was still delicious! The girl behind the counter was very friendly, and the service was good and fast.

It's a nice place, but sometimes you get a full container of fries, and other times there are only six. The croquettes are good but often lukewarm inside. The staff is good, but all very young and sometimes like to touch their noses and then take your sandwich. 😉 Be aware of that when you're preparing your sandwich.

Poor. We ordered snack menus. I've never seen such small portions of fries in a restaurant before. Not enough for an adult as a meal. Even though I asked twice, there was no peanut sauce with the order. They've been notorious for their small portions in the past. Next time, I'll drive to a different restaurant.

You'll be quickly and friendlyly helped to a tasty snack, sandwich, or ice cream. It's also a nice place to sit down.

2 x chicken satay menu with fries + vanilla milkshake €42....... The fries consisted of potato pieces of +- 1.5 cm, so no fries. Tasted like fried fat. Satay 4 sticks tasteless. It's just that the peanut sauce made it any better. Sauted outside, the tables messy and dirty. No placemats when serving the plates of food.. [The other customer had them]. Vanilla milkshake quite tasteless. In short, quite a lot of money for such a poor piece of food. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture.. But honestly, those fries were really awful. I didn't feel like complaining about it to the young people behind the counter. The week before, I was at Portland, and the fries were also awful. Small potato pieces of 1.5 cm [crackling]. No, unfortunately, no more Verhage for me.!!

This used to be a favourite snack bar until recently. Last Saturday it was a lot less. We ordered a menu twice. The fries were way too salty and the salad was grabbed by hand (without gloves) from a container and put in the containers. Not very hygienic. It also seems lately that only young girls work there and that there is little supervision. On Saturday I didn't even see a superior. For me, Verhage Barendrecht is done for now. Hopefully it will improve soon.

De locatie Barendrecht is vaak te weinig personeel waardoor je lange wachttijden hebt voordat je überhaupt iets kunt bestellen. Personeel weet niet hoe je een sorbet maakt, en dat is voor mij een klein ijsje met vruchten uit blik geworden. Kosten 5 euro. Sorbet hoort een groot glas te zijn met ijs, aarbeiensaus, vruchten , nootjes dip, slagroom en een koekje. Locatie rockanje weet wel hoe je een sorbet maakt, en zal dan ook niet meer zoiets kopen bij verhage Barendrecht.!

2 large fries, hogweed sandwich croquette, tasty, just a pity that there were so many small pieces of fries in them, almost half of the containers only had hard pieces of hogweed burned with burnt onion, but they just don't care

You order an old Amsterdam sandwich for €5.30 and then receive a sandwich with young cheese from Dirk. If you ask, they take everything off and add extra topping???? This is not what I order.

Very greasy food and staff who are too slow and not friendly

Only young girls work who sometimes make mistakes and add everything to the order. Peanut sauce is tasteless. Verhage should really do something about it. Sweet stuff without taste and bite. The amount of fries in your container is also very moderate. Fries themselves are tasty.

Just a good snack bar with a wide choice. The young lady behind the bar made it a lot of fun, especially for the youngest (and boldest) of 7, by taking all the time and having a nice conversation. Then a "just a good snack bar" suddenly becomes a fun outing.

Today I went to Verhage Barendrecht with my grandson. Treated shamefully. Prices are incorrect and there are a few inexperienced children behind the counter! People are calling for help when it's busy, but the answer comes: I'm working on my hair! To top it all off, there are hairs on my fries and the girls laugh about it. Just scandalous. 25 euros for 1 children's menu and fries and small salad! Once but not again!!

Tip, drive to the nearest Bram Ladage, you will have hot food and friendly staff. What a ball tent this is😡

Fries were tasty, unfortunately a burnt veggie steak without any response from (weekend?) staff after reporting it. Unfortunately, that's why we don't come here anymore.

Ordered food but service was bad: first I received a bag while it was ready to eat here, double peanut fries were not possible. She didn't say anything at all. had no cutlery. I feel like I was ripped off by the verhage. I needed fries for 12 people so I asked for advice on what to order. The old man said that 3 family boxes for 12 people was good (4 people per box). We are quite big eaters but we simply had more than 1 box left. could have been a bit more honest about how many people can eat from 1 box, the ice creams and milkshakes here are really very small, unfortunately this was the last time here for me

Verschrikkelijke zaak. alles is duurder geworden maar je krijgt geen geld voor je eten ik kocht een ijsje het hoorntje was niet gevuld met het ijs en het ijs dat er was was in 2 happen op ook krijg je te weinig saus ik kon nog geneens een halve portie patat met saus eten (ik kreeg een half bakje saus misschin zelfs minder) en milkshakes zijn ook half vol echt waardeloze zaak hoop dat er snel wat aangedaan word

If this is the fries with the menus, then this is no longer necessary. Nowadays it is a mini fries, and now fried 3 times or so.

We were at work and we thought ah, let's have some fries here. Service was fine, girl behind the counter wasn't too enthusiastic. And now it comes... half an hour after eating, walking backwards for 45 minutes to eat because of food poisoning🤮🤮🤮

Everything is perfect for a tasty snack, but the curry or ketchup. It's really not nice. I'm sure a frikandel sandwich tastes much better with the right curry. And that's not the one being used now

When I order a ball sandwich, I expect it to come out of its warming container with the gravy. Unfortunately, here you throw them in cold gravy that comes from a squeeze bottle and then in the microwave. Preparing food is a no-go as far as I'm concerned

Mijn business partner en ik gingen hier een middagje eten en discussiëren over de globale financiële status. Wij bestelde 2 cheeseburgers met extra bacon zonder ketchup. Maar wij merkte snel dat het werk niet serieus genomen werdt en dat er slechte service was. De cheeseburgers hadden ketchup en geen bacon, nadat mijn business partner erachter kwam vroegen wij of wij onze bacon nog mochten aangezien wij hiervoor hadden betaald. De medewerker zuchtte en ging terug achter de balie. Een paar minuten later kwam ze terug met ons bord en 1 stukje bacon dat we zelf op onze cheeseburger moesten pleuren. Wij vonden dit erg onaangenaam en waren hier niet blij mee. Hierna hadden wij nog een grote aardbeien milkshake besteld en een middel banaan milkshake. De aardbeien milkshake was goed! Maar de banaan milkshake had de smaak van vanille met een vleugje aardbei. Ook de rietjes waren erg onplezierig. Onze frietjes waren lekker , ondanks de goede frietjes kregen wij geen servetjes en moesten wij meerdere keren hiervoor vragen. Wij hebben de medewerkers laten weten dat wij hier niet zullen terugkeren, want bij deze winkel zijn de medewerkers niet Up-To-Standard..

Bestelde een grote patat saté majo met ui was er €6 voor kwijt. Helaas heb ik er geen foto van gemaakt het bakje was klein en er zaten wat rest patatten in die nog in de bak lagen het meisje achter de balie zat naar die kerel te kijken( ik denk de eigenaar) wat doe je nu. Een grote schande. In het cafetaria in onze star was dit nog minder dan een klein patatje.

Ordered a large satay majo fries today for €6. It was scandalous how small the container was and there wasn't even a head on it. With 3 drops of satay sauce. The friendly girl who was frying my fries saw what I think was the owner taking the container and putting the fries that were still in the container into the container and wrapping them without the onion. Really highly recommended

Fijne, wel verzorgde vestiging met uiterst voorkomend en fris, jong personeel!

Je kent dat wel...keuzes. Ik dacht een keer last minute wat anders te doen: patatje stoofvlees bij Verhage. Lekker dichtbij. Kan aan mij liggen maar voor 8 euro vind ik dat je best wat mag verwachten. Ik weet dat stoofvlees bij een snackbar zelden rechtstreeks uit de pan komt, maar deze magentronbereiding was zo vochtig, dat het de (matig bedeelde) patat binnen de tijd van 3 minuten tussen zaak en huis alles tot één slappe hap had gemaakt. Sowieso straalde het gerecht weinig liefde uit. Wel ruim ui... Voor herhaling vatbaar?....sorry maar 'nee'. Broodje kroket en baconburger waren verder wel oké. Volgende keer kies ik toch anders.

Eten was goed. Jammer dat het door de airconditioning erg koud was in het restaurant. Kwam over alsof ze ons zo snel mogelijk weg wilden hebben.

Fijn personeel, persoonlijke benadering naar gasten en fijne zitgelegenheid voor een snackbar. Een stukje duurder dan een snackbar om de hoek, maar dat zie je dan ook terug in de kwaliteit, opmaak van het eten en de fataliteiten. Kortom prettige plek om even aan hapje te eten.

Als eerst, erg goed eten voor een leuke prijs maar vooral het personeel was erg vriendelijk. Ik ga zeker terug.

Leuke zaak met vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk eten. Wij waren met een grote groep. Iedereen kreeg tegelijk het eten en we hoefden niet lang te wachten.
