🥬 Vert Restaurant… run by a couple whose personal touch shows in every dish. Brave, creative, mostly-vegetable menu paired thoughtfully with wine. Scandinavian feel and a calming atmosphere with an excellent playlist as a backdrop to a wonderful evening. I’m not usually a lettuce or rhubarb guy, but the Bindsla dish quietly stole the show. “Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to… Strawberry Fields…

Truly a fantastic restaurant, for many different reasons. First of all, the food was of an incredibly high standard. The dishes were beautifully balanced together, and portioned well. Each individual dish had great flavor and surprising combinations/ingredients, without being over the top. We had a very nice bottle of wine with our meal, but the non-alcoholic pairing looked very interesting. Besides the quality of the food and drinks, the service was also very good. Very personal, and clearly run by people who are passionate about the business. All in all, we would absolutely cross the entire country again just to eat here once more! Best restaurant we have been to in ages.

What an amazing experience. Besides the dishes being transformed into a beautiful palette of colors, you experience a true taste explosion with every bite. We will definitely return here when we stay in Middelburg again.

I wouldn't have signed up for a menu consisting primarily of vegetable dishes. But you have to try this. The flavor combinations of fresh, seasonal vegetables are incredibly good. Nine dishes served in four courses. Even with a piece of meat and fish. It was a delight!

We felt very welcome when the hostess greeted us and showed us to our seats. The restaurant is cozy, very clean, and quiet. But above all, the culinary experience was exceptional. I've rarely eaten so deliciously. Every dish was exquisitely refined and incredibly delicious. This chef is not only a great cook, he also creates little works of art. The service is superb and casual at the table, but don't be fooled: every dish is explained in detail, and their wine expertise is absolutely spot on. This is definitely worth a visit!

Top-notch place. Delicious dishes where they do truly amazing things with vegetables. The meat was delicious too, but you can get meat anywhere. But what they do here is a real treat. Tasty accompanying wines as well. It makes you realize once again what kind of wines you get served in standard restaurants.

An absolute fine dining tip for Middelburg 😍 At Vert, Julia and Richard present a spectacular 9-course dinner as a sharing concept. The courses can also be supplemented with oysters, bread, cheese and coffee compleet. We did everything and spent three wonderful hours. The price-performance ratio is spectacular - the dishes are consistently of an extremely high standard and the theme of vegetables is the star in every course. This was a great experience from start to finish! I haven't had such a delicious and surprising meal in years, everything was taken care of down to the last detail and the story was completely correct. On top of that, a fantastic team that is very attentive. Very pleasant casual service. The adapted organic wines were delicious and perfectly matched to the dishes. Price-quality is amazing, in my opinion they are even a bit too cheap, but that's to their credit. You will definitely see us again, look forward to discovering what they do with the autumn vegetables!

30 mei 2024 voor het eerst gegeten bij Vert. Leuk restaurant en zeer vriendelijke bediening. Intense smaken en bijzondere combinaties waar we onwijs van hebben genoten. Waar ik extra blij van werd, is dat ze een aangenaam zuurbier op de kaart hebben, ideaal als aperitief. Kortom, top avondje en voor herhaling vatbaar!

Toevallig hier beland, maar een fantastisch diner gehad. 4 gangen menu met mooie seizoensgerechten. Het concept is 80% groente en 20% vlees vis. Mooie kleine gerechtjes met mooie combinaties. Hoogtepunten zeebaars met duindoorn en mango en de gestoofde prei met zeesla en hangop. Hierbij dronken we een heerlijke Oostenrijkse wijn. De naam van de wijn "himmel auf erden". Dit was ook onze afdronk van dit diner, we waren even in dit mooie eetparadijs. Jonge enthousiaste bediening en dito chef. Een must go, als je van lekker eten houdt.

Went to this restaurant for dinner with my sisters and mother tonight. From start to finish I felt welcomed by the friendly staff. Food is genuinely delicious. Highly recommended. Small point of attention that you have to pay for water. I know opinions differ but my opinion is that it should be free. (Especially if you also order other drinks).

A very nice restaurant in the higher segment. The atmosphere is nice and the service is spontaneous. Every now and then the girl with the bright trousers lost it for a moment, but with a smile on her face she managed to rattle it off again. We opted for the sharing menu with matching wine. A nice concept, easy, cozy and good! There were some wines that were really not tasty on their own, but looked good in combination with the food. Always special when that is the case. Highly recommended if you like more luxurious food!

First of all, I didn't eat there. However, we reserved a special table with great enthusiasm. That table had already been given away when I arrived on time. The restaurant was not full. I was told in a very unpleasant way that that exact table 'would have been booked over a month ago'. We were treated unfriendly. The comment was made: 'if you don't like it, it's better to leave.' We felt very belittled and unwelcome and left.

Absolutely our favourite restaurant in Zeeland! The ambiance is effortlessly Nordic and the food spins together beautiful local Zeeuwse ingredients with a Nordic spin and a touch of Asian experimentation. The service is non-pretentious and you can really feel that the service staff know the food - great story telling with food! The tasting menu is amazing, 9 courses and highly recommend the wine pairings which focuses on natural wines. Can't say enough good things about Vert - don't miss out!!!

Some subtle nods to Asian flavors and techniques but without trying too hard or “just for the sake of it.” Everything was carefully thought through and shows real passion. Several small dishes per course with vegetables in the leading role, but also meat or fish added in moderation. Very tasty and beautiful creations, all equally well prepared. Unfortunately we were not impressed with the wine arrangement. They were special wines, but not to our taste.

Unusually hip for Middelburg? The vegetarian sharing menu was nothing short of spectacular. The nine dishes all had something new and delicious to offer, the second time red cabbage was not necessary, but then I am really complaining. The accompanying drinks package deserves special mention. I was set on classic red and white (hadn't looked into the menu beforehand), but was treated to cider, wild wines and even mead with dessert! The drinks were perfectly paired with the dishes. Nine tens per person is quite an amount of course, but then you have a semi-full evening program, it is more than worth it!

Went for dinner on a Saturday, not that busy but there was a worldcup soccer match so most people stayed home or at the bar I guess. We had the menu for sharing, 9 dishes over 4 courses. Very surprising meals, all tasted very good. Shared a bottle of wine and had some organic tea after.
