We celebrated our welcome drinks to our wedding weekend at VESSEL in July Boat & Co hotel and we couldn’t have wished for a better start to our special weekend! From the very beginning, Iris was an incredible partner in planning out all the details for food, drinks and ambiance - and the team really delivered! The staff was incredibly attentive and kind throughout the whole evening, multiple guests complimented us on that. The private room is stunning and a great place to throw and intimate but still fun party. There were also doors to the outdoor terrace so guests could enjoy the indoor outdoor experience. All in all, it was a wonderful event. Thank you!!

It was a dinner lacking any warmth in the character of the room and devoid of any friendliness from the service. Fortunately, there was enough mutual appreciation at the table, but it was disappointing that the restaurant offered no encouragement whatsoever to share something pleasant together. Oh well, it's just a matter of taste.

What a lovely place to sit and have a delicious lunch! It's also nice that there is Dutch-speaking staff. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We came here to the July Boat & Co because it was registered as a cooling spot on the Amsterdam website and we did not feel safe in our house because it was 33 degrees. We walked into the lobby where it was connected to the restaurant and the server looked us oddly. I explained that we wanted to use the facility as a cooling spot but she was unaware of it so I showed her the website. She said no, this is the restaurant and basically told us we were not allowed to use the seats. It’s very unfortunate the staff at the restaurant think of it as a separate entity and were unaware that the hotel was included in the Amsterdam Heat Plan. No one else came up to us to help.

The terrace is great and the food is fine. The service is generally nice, but we had 7 different waiters at our table in 2 hours. And with dessert, only 1 was brought instead of 2, and we had to ask three different waiters before the second dessert arrived 15 minutes after my ice cream had melted. It seems like there is no coordination and everyone is pitching in a bit everywhere.

Looks like a typical hotel bar. Nice view on the water. Terrible food. We had seafood pasta, the burger and steak tartare. Bad value for money. Not tasty. Bad presentation.

There was plastic in our salad. They kindly offered to ask if we wanted something new and took the salad off the bill, but my appetite was completely gone. Remains a top spot. Beautiful terrace, lovely service.

Vessel, Amsterdam: A sneak preview of Noah’s birthday dinner spot on Saturday. All-day brasserie Vesse at July Co Hotel l is a total crowd-pleaser and summer’s best friend. When the elusive sun casts its rays, the front wooden deck is converted into a summer beach, sans the sand. Sunbathers congregate and jump into the sea for refreshing dips. An outdoor terrace opens to the magnificent view of the Ij – liners, ships and boats glide elegantly through, and windmills spin gently to the wind. If you want proper seating indoor, head into the restaurant with the colossal grandiose chandeliers for a spellbound elegant dining experience. There’s a fireplace for the homey feeling and a beautiful bar. This is such an all-encompassing spot that ticks all boxes. Second review as we were back for Noah’s birthday – services is beyond terrible with more than an hour wait for mains. All the football watchers were served their drinks fast. Also, ridiculous that we had to pay 1.50 Euro per person to bring a birthday cake. That wasn’t quite an issue but we were literally dumped the box, with cutlery and plates to serve ourselves. Have some decency to light up the candles and bring the cake out. And set the plates and cutlery on the table. #eatstylishtravelstylish

We held a full-day meeting with a group of about 10 people in one of Vessel's meeting rooms and had a fantastic experience! The room is spacious and soundproof, so you don't notice the restaurant or the hotel at all during your meeting. Additionally, the room features excellent online meeting infrastructure, allowing you to hold meetings with remote participants without any problems. The food and drinks throughout the day were top-notch, and the service from the Vessel team was extremely helpful. We will definitely be back!

We hosted an executive dinner for 75 guests and had a wonderful experience! The room was nicely decorated, the staff was superb, and the food and drinks were delicious. We will certainly return!

We celebrated our marriage with a group of 35. The communication with Lara and Sophie from the events team was great. And our afternoon on the terras at the waterfront was really lovely! We could bring our own cakes, they had everything else ready. Our guests were also very enthusiastic about the location and the team. The staff was, as always, really nice, attentive and seemed to enjoy the atmosphere as much as we did! Thank you team from Vessel for this great celebration on our weddingday!

Magnificent spot, great service, easy in the morning and good coffee and food!

Unfortunately, my experience at Vessel was disappointing. I ordered a salmon fillet and pasta, but the pasta in particular was really not good. The pasta tasted rubbery and had absolutely no flavor, as if it had been sitting around for too long or had been prepared incorrectly. For a restaurant in this price range, you really expect better. Additionally, the service was only semi-friendly. Not necessarily rude, but certainly not welcoming or attentive either. All in all, not an experience that would make me want to return anytime soon.

Regular customer in the hotel and restaurant. Service is good , nice vibes however food is not up to it. Shrimp cocktail as part of the new menu served with RAW prawns, they have invented the sashimi prawns cocktail , seesm that the cook doesn't understand waht a shrimps cocktail is..... Salmon , blend , Pichana was ok but old french fries I suppose from prevoius serving .... I must say that the staff handeld if very nice and very polite , they where embarrased . Dear kitchen team , please get your acts together , your are pretending to be TOP please prouve it.

Had a super delicious meal, the cauliflower is highly recommended! There was also live music, which created a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. On top of that, the service was friendly; I will definitely be back here.

A beautiful location with a delicious menu! Lately, as a vegetarian, it has been a bit harder to find tasty, unique meals, so the menu here made me very excited. I thought I wanted a different dish, but our waiter recommended the aubergine, and I enjoyed it immensely! My friends chose the burger and they were very satisfied too. Good portions, prepared with care. The pistachio crème brûlée was also very tasty. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The homemade non-alcoholic drinks were also very good. 10/10, I would love to come back again!

Hosted a surprise farewell party at Vessel and it was fantastic. Organizing everything with the venue went well and the staff on the day were super friendly and helped us maintain the surprise until we got to the room. The food was lovely too and we had such a nice time. The venue itself has a nice vibe.

Really friendly service, beautiful restaurant and great options for food - especially for non-meat eaters. We ate here our first evening in Amsterdam and it was a lovely welcome to the city.

We arrived for breakfast on Saturday after calling ahead to reserve a table. We were told on the phone that breakfast service continued until 11:30, but when we ordered around 10:50, we were informed the kitchen was closed. Gabi very kindly prepared muesli bowls for us and apologized for the inconvenience. We did however see other tables receiving breakfast items, which seemed inconsistent. This would have all been passable, had I not discovered a piece of plastic in my matcha, which, according to a member of staff, was apparently a rogue piece from a stirring spoon. The stray plastic together with not being able to order anything off the breakfast menu as we had expected made for an unacceptable experience. Sorry to say that we will not be coming back.

We were with a diverse group, including two people in wheelchairs. There was plenty of space and no problem. We also had a celebration during lunch for someone receiving an award, and that was all perfectly fine as well. The staff were helpful and incredibly friendly.

Lovely place to enjoy with sunshine on the terrace or in a cozy indoor space if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Highly recommended!

The food is decent, but not worth the money. I was served mint tea and asked for honey. The waiter said he would get it and then went to sit at a table next to his friends. So I ended up getting the honey myself. But it is peculiar to just go sit with other people in the restaurant during a shift and ignore the rest of the guests.

The restaurant is very spacious and the terrace outside is large, with a great view on the water and (in summer) lots of sun. We initially came in just for a coffee. Eventually, we ended up staying for lunch, as we saw the food (and the well-sized portions) coming by, which looked good. We had salads that were fulfilling, only a bit pricy (the ceasar salad didn’t have a lot of chicken, for example). However, we will still come back, as the menu for dinner looked very promising as well and just the general vibe here was great. Also, the girls that were waitressing were super sweet.

The decor and aesthetic is beautiful, the restaurant design is truly remarkable but the food and service lack. The tomato Goat cheese lacked flavor and the 5 euro tap water was not a good feeling to pay for

A fantastic private lunch for 18 people in the Dock Room. Highly recommended. Delicious food and very attentive service. Free parking nearby on Sundays, otherwise there's a parking garage underneath.

We love going to Vessel so much that we organized a lunch at Vessel after getting married. The food and service was amazing as always and the team was super helpful in helping us plan the lunch. Would highly recommend both for casual lunch/dinners and for bigger occasions!

Live music, very nice setting, very nice service,

The Vessel team organised a very special lunch table for me and 6 of my family. The table was laid out perfectly with candles, bottles of champagne and personalised menus. The service was excellent as well. Overall, the afternoon was wonderful in this beautiful location in Houthaven

Good menu and friendly staff. The view is beautiful of the water, the jetty, and the floating artwork. A lovely spot when the sun shines. The interior hall is high and impressive.

We attended the candle-making workshop and were given the "luxury lunch." The lunch selection was quite unusual and a disappointment. It consisted of a salad with sprouts (?!), onion soup, and a mushroom croquette with bread. I would recommend changing this.

The event went exactly according to plan and the team on the ground was also aligned with everything we discussed. Good prices for the quality of the venue and food. We thoroughly enjoyed the cozy atmosphere at Vessel. The dinner with its jazzy vibes, the friendly and spontaneous welcome, and the service made the evening! The eggplant with hummus and the accompanying wine were delicious. After a drink, we took a quick dip in the sauna and then rolled up in bed at Hotel July. The next morning, we enjoyed another delicious breakfast. Highly recommended!

Lovely, quiet, and elegant hotel lobby / restaurant for having a drink, dining, or impressing ;). Beautiful room with a high ceiling. In the evening, two jazz musicians played, giving the place a New York vibe. Includes an outdoor terrace with a beautiful view of the IJ and the Pontsteiger. Even the restrooms are elegant.

Delicious and creative food and friendly staff. However, the lunch portions are very small and basic for the price. Charging €5 for a carafe of water, which is initially offered as if it were free, doesn't seem very polite or customer-friendly.

We had another wonderful evening at Vessel, enjoying the new menu with delicious choices. They even made special cocktails to our liking that weren't on the menu, thanks for that! Caesar served us very well that evening and recommended some great wines to go with our dishes.

The food was far below average; the appetizers and main courses were simply not good. The service was even worse: slow and inattentive. We had to ask for water three times, and drinks arrived after 15 minutes. Such a shame for such a beautiful location with so much potential.

Beautiful restaurant. The fish from the catch of the day was really good, and the pasta was also delicious. Unfortunately, the crumble had too little crumble and was more like red fruit compote. The carrots were a bit too hard and only lukewarm. The service was also a bit inattentive, and the dishes all arrived very staggered.

Lovely food, the starters were delicious, the steak and fish were well cooked, and orange cake for dessert was surprisingly amazing. Didn't actually realise this was inside a hotel, the atmosphere is lovely and nice decor. I would go back on a warm sunny day for the outside dining as it's by the waters edge.

Excellent vegetarian and vegan dishes. We are not both vegetarians, but we both ate exclusively vegetarian. I have rarely eaten so well. A clear recommendation from us.

Had a very nice experience at Vessel last week for a work dinner for 20 people. The events staff were very accommodating with all of our dietary restrictions and last minute requests. The wait staff were very punctual. Our waitress (Eva, I believe was her name) was fantastic and handled the many requests from our group in a timely manner. Food and drinks were very good, specifically the chicken thigh and dessert (portokalapita). Only positive remarks form my colleagues, which says something for a party of 20. Would highly recommend Vessel for a large work event, or for a small intimate evening, as the location on the canal was very nice. Thanks for taking care of us!
