VIC's BAR in Burgwallen-Nieuwe Zijde

I come here every year for ADE. Great vibe, friendly and fast service despite the crowds. The doormen, coat check, and cleaners do a fantastic job! I also come here regularly for drinks. Wonderfully peaceful spot in the busiest part of the city. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for delicious cocktails (shhh...don't tell anyone ;)

The venue was redesigned for the occasion (ADE) into a club. A successful transformation! Friendly staff, a much-appreciated sound system, and a very satisfying musical lineup.

Had a good quick bite and sandwich here. I thought that I was getting a flatbread pizza, but it actually was an open-faced sandwich. Which is fine, it was still delicious. I sat at the bar and service was slow at first, but the bartenders made up for it.

Ended every single one of my Amsterdam visits here with a phenomenal drink served by kind personnel in a relaxing atmosphere. Can recommend this bar very sincerely.

Good cocktail menu. Great service from all the staff. Retzina’s smoked old fashioned had us come back for seconds. Great people watching on the street from comfortable window seats.

Local acolhedor e com uma boa atmosfera. Os funcionários dão simpáticos e não tivemos muito tempo à espera para as bebidas e "petiscos" ficarem prontos. A sala é bastante grande ou seja não estamos sentados uns em cima dos outros. Gostamos muito e havemos certamente de voltar

We only went in here for a drink before our canal boat trip so I can't comment on the food. Drinks are reasonably priced so that was fine, but I didn't feel the place was very welcoming. It was almost as if we shouldn't have been there so that disappointed me. The decor inside was stunning, but we only stayed for one drink before enjoying our boat tour.

I went to Vic's bar last Saturday and it was excellent! I sat at the bar with Dennis who knows how to do his job. He worked with a smile and was just nice and down to earth. I don't like it when someone exaggerates it comes across as fake. I would advise everyone to have a drink here. It's close to the stadium so when you get off the train you are at the bar in a few 100m.

Cosy Hotel Bar with an amazing view to the canal in front of Central Station. The angle of the seats makes it look like you are on the same level as the boats. The Uruguayan person at the bar was really informative about the cocktails and the city attractions. Will definitely be visiting again soon!

I always enjoy hotel lobby bars. The service and drinks are great, the perfect way to escape the tourist traps in the city center.

Mi pareja y yo nos alojamos en el Park Plaza Victoria y ayer vine a tomar una copa por mi cumpleaños en Vic's, y fue una experiencia maravillosa! Carolina era mi camarera y me alegró el día. Su martini expreso era DELICIOSO, y ella era tan amable, servicial y realmente hospitalario! Volveré de nuevo esta semana mientras estoy aquí, y espero ver a Carolina de nuevo! Gracias por hacer mi cumpleaños mucho más especial!

Gran bar en el hotel, muy buena elección de bebidas y comida y a un precio muy razonable, el personal es muy servicial y amable. 2 bebidas cada una y una hamburguesa masiva de solo 60 euros.

Absolutely stunning, I visit the hotel for their fun drinks and I felt the luxurious vibe right away. My boyfriend and I enjoyed it very much. We are coming from Miami but we are Cubans and Victor, one of his bartenders is Cuban as well, it felt really nice to share some memories of our home country being so far away from it. You’ve done an amazing job VIC’s bar team!

I’ve been here twice, with several years in between and like it as much as I did on my first visit. A cozy bar with muted lighting and comfortable yet elegant decor. Had a fabulous whisky sour, which was one of the best I’ve ever had. And the service was on point. You may dismiss this bar given its proximity to Amsterdam Centraal but don’t. It’s a great spot.

The worst customer service in Amsterdam, after waiting for a long time, one of the waiters passed by without looking at the customers and looking as if he wanted to attack someone. After half an hour we approached the bar with the intention of ordering drinks, but this same waiter answered me in a very bad way that he had already said that it was the last order a moment before. I tried to explain to him that he hadn't asked but he was still in a bad mood. When I passed him my order, instead of explaining it me, he attacked me again in a rude way, telling me that "he had already said that he no longer served that type of drink".... I don't know what the problem with this server is, but I know that this is not the way to treat the customer, I felt assaulted when I spoke politely and without knowing that this guy was so unhappy with his job as a waiter that he decided to treat the customers badly, even if is not our fault. Do not recommend this place, it does not represent the hospitality of a city that deserves better employees. Bad.

If you are looking for a low key unassuming bar with food, this is it. They really do need more help. The staff was struggling with the amount of patrons in the bar. Bar food is decent and the drinks are tasty.

Excellent cocktails, even though they don't gloat about being one of the best cocktail bars in Amsterdam. The "dark side of the moon" was a stunner in terms of flavour, indeed.. the bar food was very good too .. We went back 2 evenings later just to have the cocktail again , but unfortunately, the cocktail that was made had no semblance to the one we had 2 evenings earlier. The bartender had changed, and unfortunately, what we got was a super bland, unexciting dark side of the moon . He had even forgotten about the black salt flakes !!!! I was super disappointed, but he was a sweet and kind old bartender. Hence, I didn't say anything and drank it .. maybe vic's bar can do something about consistency please.

Excellent bar proche de la gare centrale. Un moment hors du monde. Les sièges sont très confortables et l'ambiance est tamisée. La carte des cocktails est intéressante et particulièrement celle des Gin Tonic qui est impressionnante. Cela n'empêche pas de faire une demande sur mesure. C'est un endroit parfait pour reprendre son souffle avant de repartir dans la folie d'Amsterdam.

De koffie is heerlijk, echter was Voorheen het een traktatie,vanwege dat deze geserveerd werd op een Dien blaadje met een glaasje water ,een chocolade, een echter verwenning, nu helaas niet meer, koekje erbij , klaar

Very good selection of wine, spirits and cocktails. They also offer coffee/tea and some food selection. Seems quite popular and busy most of the evenings.

We verbleven in het Victoria Plaza ihkv de Hotelnacht voor Amsterdammers. Prachtig hotel, Carstens restaurant was ook heerlijk. Vic’s Bar is een top tent om later op de avond een drankje te doen. Dennis is een fantastische bartender. Zijn smoked “old Fashioned” is zeer zeker aan te bevelen. Wij komen terug.

I came back to the hotel to grab a lite bite to eat. The bar was very pleasant…I crowded, nice bar-bite menu and good service. Good music and ambiance.

Je ne comprends pas les avis super négatifs. Il y a du y avoir un changement de management car le personnel est adorable et les boissons sont très bonnes ! Prix de bar haut de gamme mais vu le cadre, normal. Toilettes sur accès donné à l'accueil, hyper propre. Lieux agréable et musique basse ce qui fait plaisir.

Great hotel bar (Park Plaza Victoria) with an extensive drink menu and excellently prepared drinks. The staff is friendly and professional and the drinks were served quickly even though the bar was quite busy. We tried Manhattans and Whisky Sours and they were prepared to perfection. The bar is big and has comfortable seats and couches throughout. Great place if you are a group of five to eight persons which the seating arrangements easily can accommodate.

Hochwertige Drinks zu relativ hohen Preisen (13 - 14€ für Klassiker) in angenehmer Atmosphäre und mit freundlichem Personal.

Zeer goede locatie tegen over CS Amsterdam ben hier geweest met ADE. Prima voor

I have been to VIC’s bar for the first time last night. Drinks were fine, decoration and atmosphere were also good. But what I can’t understand is that such a place has a MOUSE going around the room all evening long and the staff acts as nothing is going on! Not going back.
