Villa Orange Bar & Restaurant in De Weteringschans

Villa Orange is a true hidden gem in the city center. They have a wonderful and fun concept. We tried the "Orange Three" and look how great it was! All sorts of delicious snacks like truffle fries, burrata, macarons, and much more. We also got to choose two drinks and two proseccos. Truly perfect for a cozy drinks afternoon. Everything was perfectly taken care of and super tasty. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a unique spot in Amsterdam with a great vibe and good food and drinks. We'll definitely be back! 🍊🥂

The food was pretty mediocre. The €70 set looks impressive, but only at first glance. The artificial flowers look cheap, the plastic cups with the food look dirty. The food is not fancy. I'm sure you can find a better place. It's too expensive for such a set, in my opinion. The service was friendly. The table was sticky and not cleaned enough.

The beer was great, but the food provided was the wrong order, and some of the deep-fried food was still cold on the inside.

13 euros for a tiny "nacho bowl", which was a tin of corn with about 15 nacho chips. Oh and it was cold.

My wife & I were genuinely impressed by not only the food but the attentive service & ambiance. The staff were all so welcoming and quick, drinks were well made and you felt like an appreciated customer. Highly recommend.

Nice place in the middle of the city. Especially with nice weather it is nice to stay on the terrace. Enjoyed the oysters during Happy hour ❤️

Tried the oysters during happy hour. Opted for the oyster tower. After 2-3 oysters noticed that there were worms in the oysters. Reported this to the staff and the manager gave the answer 'we work with natural products this can happen.'. Eventually the oysters that we did not eat were removed from the bill and no compensation for the remaining rotten oysters. The kitchen also wanted to explicitly state that they open the oysters manually and would not allow a worm to crawl in. Apparently they know nothing about marine parasites. Top.

Great promotion, from 4-6 p.m. Oysters for 1.50 each! Ordered on Easter Sunday around 4:30 PM, on the terrace. Were served in a 'tower'. Oysters were good. I would have liked some to be a little smaller (but then they would probably be more expensive...). With white wine, fine. We (couple) had a nice spot on a bench in the sun.

Disappointing Experience – Long Wait and Wrong Order We had a very frustrating experience at this restaurant. We waited almost an hour just for a hamburger, and when it finally arrived, it was not what we ordered. We had to send it back to the kitchen, which meant even more waiting. There was no proper apology, and the service overall felt disorganized and inattentive. For such a simple order, this was unacceptable. We won’t be coming back.

Food was great! Burgers so juicy and amazing, deserts spectacular, and my friend loved the goat cheese salad. Wonderful experience highly recommend. Wines were also a great selection 🍷

Bijzonder fijne ambiance , attente bediening en lekker eten. De carpaccio is klassiek en prima, het buikspek is boterzacht en goed op smaak met een fantastisch krokant randje .

Ambiance is nice and everything we tasted was delicious. Service staff is always smiling. Only thing is they have a few tables next to the window so we need to sit on high tables.

After 2 visits about a year apart, I really believe this restaurant is underrated. The ribs have consistently been delicious, and so was the chocolate lava cake. The side salad with the meal is also really good.

We were very excited to eat here tonight, the menu looked amazing and the atmosphere is fantastic. The music choice was great and the ambience overall was very warm and inviting. While the staff are friendly, the service was very slow. Our drinks to ages to come out as did our food. For a semi empty restaurant it’s a bit disappointing. They also ran out of vegetables which we were keen for with our dishes, so we were forced to spend money on side dishes we shouldn’t have had to buy just to have veggies with the meat. A few things on our orders were forgotten completely as well. I really hope they fix this as it really is a lovely little place with nice food!

The ribs as a main course and pork belly (small portion) as a starter were delicious. And finally the chocolate dessert (a bit small). Recommended! Excellent quality for such a tourist location.

I got it at a discount through the fork. The food was delicious, goat cheese salad, ribs, and two beers for 40 euros. However, they did not provide tap water. I was shocked.

We followed the Euro matches there, it was great. Top waiters, good food, excellent fries. On the other hand, we charge 50 cents for ketchup, it’s really ridiculous.

We have been there twice: yesterday and this afternoon. We took the menu with hamburgers, chips and 50cl blonde beer: simply fantastic! Nice atmosphere and the guys are really friendly. The bathrooms are beautiful and clean: it's not so obvious. Recommended for a quick break or for dinner.

A good classic restaurant which is a change from all the Italian restaurants located in the surrounding area, the service is fast, the waiters are friendly and the food is correct, it is not extravagant or disappointing in Amsterdam, I recommend.

Enjoyed a few cold drinks and beer. Service is on point. Ordering is done by telephone. A bit impersonal but works wonderfully!

Great restaurant! The draft beer was very good, very fresh, and the food was delicious. We ate the pork ribs and some dumplings. All very good. Highlight for the service, the waitresses are very friendly.

The manager here has a habit of judging people based on their appearance. I recently came here and was turned away by this manager. He said: 'You are not welcome here, leave or I will call the police'. It is special that a man of immigrant origin can discriminate in such a way. As an owner, I would fire Kyle purely for this reason. Article 1 of the Constitution: discrimination on any grounds is not permitted.

Had a Aberdeen Angus steak...possibly the best steak I have ever eaten( and i have had a few 🙂), even the fries/ chips were delicious and very moorish. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would happily eat there again.

Has it become strange to order water in Amsterdam? I said the word water and she had no idea what I was talking about. Super arrogant and rude waiter, we are in the Netherlands, not in England, so it is normal to be able to speak at least a little Dutch to help you in a restaurant. Also, it was not possible not to tip even if the service was bad. enjoy the 5 cent tip we left. I hope that the restaurant takes the tips we have given to heart and hires new waiters who also speak Dutch and have a good time!

Had a lovely meal here whilst on a short break in Amsterdam. I managed to get a 50% discount through The Fork app which made it a very reasonable meal. The staff were very friendly.

Went here for the New Years dinner. Luckily we booked a table. We stayed for the party and we had a blast. DJ played some nice songs.

We randomly chose this restaurant for diner and regretted it. We were the only table dining and it took forever for our food to arrive ! Half of it was frozen meatballs and frozen mozarella sticks so not sure what they were doing. The other half was a salad and a lamb kebab. The kebab arrived completely overcooked. Burnt on the outside, tough as a rubber ball on the inside (I guess that's what took so long in the kitchen!). Inedible. I complained but was told this was normal. Even though I took 1 bite they counted it on the bill (they did offer a drink to apologise but they should have removed it from the bill). Not recommend.

The Restaurant & bar provides good service and there is a QR code associated with every table and orders are placed with their website, during Happy hours ( 5-10 pm ) they have 1+1 cocktail/drink offer.. they have a decent cocktail menu.

My husband and I loved this place. We even talked about how they should have hospitality awards because our server was amazing!! We had the kebab and the chicken caesar salad. Wonderful!! I wish we were locals so we could enjoy this place over and over!!
