Good herring, but an incredibly grumpy and stingy man who is anything but customer-friendly. Unfortunately, for me, that's a reason to avoid this fish stall as much as possible.

Better to go when the ladies are standing, I have been treated unfriendly by that gentleman a few times. Last time we first passed by, when the man is standing there we drive on and go to another fishmonger. I am not the only one who does that.

Too much effort to fry the fish fresh. While you spend a lot of money for a bowl of kibbeling. Kibbeling was not cod either, but you pay the price. A bit of customer friendliness could perhaps compensate for this, but a smile is not possible. I prefer to get my fish elsewhere in Zaanstad, even though I live within walking distance. Too bad!

Kibbeling is expensive (10 euros for a large one) and not very fresh. It was better a year ago.

I'm a regular here; the herring is by far the tastiest, and the Wednesday special is incredibly competitive! The freshly fried kibbeling from Reclame is also delicious; we prefer it to the cod kibbeling! Service varies by staff member, but it really helps if you come often and they know your preferences. (I'm a bit of a picky eater; I don't like onions on my herring; it ruins the flavor, but I think it's only necessary if the herring isn't that good 😜)

Don't understand why this place has such a low score. We just picked up 2x herring, lekkerbekje, kibbeling and garlic sauce here. €18.50. Quite expensive, but it was tasty. Nice big piece of lekkerbek and nice big pieces of kibbeling. The saleswoman seemed a bit out of sorts, but not surprising considering the current period we are living in. At home we put the lekkerbek and kibbeling in the oven and enjoyed. The birthday boy (76 today) was pleasantly surprised. Yes, we would definitely order here again next time.

Vis is soms lekker gemaakt. Hebben vaak meegemaakt dat wij vis krijgen met letterlijk 6 stuks erin wat al tegen 5 euro per portie is. Geen kruiden op, slechte vriendelijkheid van de visboerin. Matig.
