Personally, I found it a bit dark inside. The elevator was broken and you had to go up two flights of stairs. My food didn't really have much flavor. I'm just used to Wok Parkstad. More choice.

Nice, extensive buffet! Certainly enough choice and variety, but mainly focused on Asian cuisine. Some dishes on the buffet weren't all equally warm, but the grill is top-notch! Large, juicy scallops. 😋

Fantastic. The only negative is the lack of marketing on Kodoo's part. Unlimited non-alcoholic drinks are included in the price, which is not mentioned anywhere. A very wide range of both food and drinks, and almost everything excellently prepared and presented. There are 6 different cooking stations; the videos only show 2. Service was clear, informative, and professional. Everything was clean and orderly until busy times. A group, a date, or even alone, I will go here again.

If you love food, this is the place to be. This world-class restaurant is clean and has a nice, neat appearance. You are greeted politely at the entrance and everything is explained well. There is a huge selection of dishes: meat, fish, and vegetarian. You can wok and grill, and there are many other options available. There is also a huge choice of desserts!! The service is top-notch; plates are cleared from the table quickly. We will definitely be back.

We went out for dinner as a family, but it was very disappointing for us. There were plenty of choices, but the food lacked flavor, which made it a letdown for us. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere was good. Don't expect too much, although you will surely find something you do like. What I also found inconvenient was that there was only one toilet. Actually two, but each on a different side, meaning you had to wait your turn. Not convenient with children.

2.5-hour dining package including drinks. Alcohol €1.75 per token, Fortuna parking €2.50 at the counter. Plenty of choice, don't eat too much at once. Something for everyone... definitely worth a try. It is €3 more expensive on weekends. Closed on Tuesdays.

Very tasty food, relatively short waiting times

It was our first time and it met our expectations. A welcoming reception, the staff was friendly, and the service was top-notch. The selection was sufficient. The steak, tenderloin tips, and lamb chops were prepared deliciously tender. A good selection of drinks. You could buy separate tokens for alcohol. A wide variety of tasty ice cream and desserts. The atmosphere was fine. I didn't feel like I was in a food factory. Parking is available in the underground parking garage. At the Kodoo ticket counter, you only pay €2.50 for 3 hours. In short, for €44 per person, we enjoyed a reasonable all-inclusive package over the weekend.

Excellent, everything well taken care of and clean

A greasy spoon just like any other large wok restaurant. The food was good and the staff is friendly. The decor looks nice, but otherwise nothing special. You pay €1.75 per drink for alcohol.

Eating at Kodoo for the first time. Lots of choice and tasty dishes, both at the hot buffet and at the various griddles. Kodoo is large, but thanks to the different compartments, it doesn't feel that way. I didn't see any queues at the griddles this Saturday evening. The only comment is that the sweet and sour chicken was rock hard, as if it had been cooked for much too long. I highly recommend it.

A huge variety of food, and everything is of good quality. The staff is passionate, and not a single empty plate sits on the table for long. Top-notch staff, and the play area makes dining out with kids a real stress-free experience. I have no suggestions for improvement, and I am a picky eater!

Lots of choice, always delicious food, and a nice play area for the kids. The only downside is that you sometimes have to wait a long time during the live cooking and that it can be noisy. But we will definitely come back again.

Very nice "All you can eat" restaurant

We went out for dinner here with the family today; I have no other complaints about the food. However, we just had a very unpleasant experience with one of the owners here, including the surrounding tables. Our daughter tasted some of the dessert at my wife's table, whereupon my daughter very enthusiastically shouted the word "Delicious." She did indeed shout it too loudly, and I spoke to our 14-year-old daughter about it, explaining that this was not allowed. But then one of the owners came storming in... who was that!! Everyone at the table fell silent, including all the surrounding tables. He turned it into a whole tirade, in a very intense manner, shouting: "One more time and I'll kick you out." After that, my wife, daughter, and a friend couldn't get another bite down their throats. At that moment, I (the father) was just getting food, and I think that was a good thing, because otherwise, it most likely would have escalated. Because the atmosphere was ruined, we left shortly afterward. As we were walking out, I asked the owner for his version of the story, and he became emotional again. I told him that I had explained to my (14-year-old) daughter that you aren't allowed to shout "delicious!" out loud in a (wok) restaurant, but as a restaurant owner, I should be able to make this clear in a normal way, rather than making people unable to swallow another bite! As we were leaving, another customer approached, who had witnessed this, and said: "I found your daughter's reaction remarkable, but I found the owner's reaction many times more remarkable!" We have been coming here for many years, but this is immediately the very last time we have been here. I think it would be better to have this owner working behind the scenes.

I am truly incredibly disappointed in Kodo. It is bizarre that a company in this day and age still maintains such a discriminatory policy by denying discounts to people who have had gastric bypass surgery. This feels not only unfair but also disrespectful towards people who have often already gone through a major medical process. Instead of showing understanding and customer friendliness, Kodo seems to be opting for exclusion. As a customer, this gives me absolutely no good feeling and ensures that I will definitely not order from them again in the future. There are plenty of other companies that do take their customers seriously and respect them. In short: a very bad experience and a policy that is truly outdated.

Unlimited food for two hours. Very extensive food selection. The restaurant is very large and spacious. Parking is available on the ground floor; you can pay for your parking ticket at the cashier. The all-you-can-eat restaurant is located on the first floor.

Of all the all-you-can-eat restaurants we've been to, this is the worst. It's expensive, you have to pay for a beer separately, the meat is terribly salty, and considering the size of the restaurant, there's not a huge selection. The chefs pay absolutely no attention to what you order, so if you're unlucky, they've already forgiven someone else.

It's one of our favorite buffets; we like all the food. We just miss the variety of dim sum they used to have, and now there are only gyozas and filled buns. We'd like them to bring those back, and a bit more variety in sushi.

OMG, the staff is incredibly unfriendly. They watch the cameras 24/7 and even come and sit behind people to check on them. UNNORMAL. The food was also inedible. The meat was incredibly salty, and the choices were very limited compared to the price. The play area is ice cold with no heating. Such a shame, I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone. The toilets are the icing on the cake, and they're also incredibly filthy, as if they're never cleaned.

The food was truly delicious! So much better than Wereldrestaurant Parkstad Plaza. The chefs also listen carefully to your preferences. For example, we absolutely hate well-done steak. A major disappointment; you can't call this a world-class restaurant. It clearly has an Asian focus. Compared to, for example, the Gouden Lepel in Geleen, that's more of a world-class restaurant. A big plus in Sittard is that they claim they can cook real tenderloin and ribeye. They also make fresh poffertjes, waffles, and pancakes. There was one drawback for me: the fish and meat portions were too large. But that's a personal preference. It does have a distinctly good atmosphere.

The food looks fresh and well-prepared, and the presentation is always impeccable. We already thought the staff's attitude was excellent, but Sterre turned out to be the highlight of the evening. My daughter lost her ring and was inconsolable. Sterre came over with a hug to ease her pain. A very kind and lovely gesture. Apparently, after we left, she went looking for her on her own initiative. And with success! We'd barely gotten home when we received a call that the ring had been found. It was a lovely evening because everyone had enjoyed their meal, and the children had a blast. Sterre's dedication was truly next-level, and it made our evening at Kodoo even more enjoyable for us. 👌🏻🫶🏻 Until next time!

We certainly didn't find the food great. The ready-made food was too cold in the containers, the steak was poor quality, and my nephew accidentally spilled a drink, which the staff reacted to very spitefully. It was our first and last visit. We'll definitely go back to Kerkrade next time.

I went to the Christmas buffet with high expectations. Unfortunately, Koddoo Sittard did not meet these expectations. I had to pay 60 per person. So I expected an extensive Christmas buffet, but it was the same as what you get for 41 euros if you visit on other days (excluding holidays). It is, of course, ridiculous to promise people a lot, make them pay extra, and then provide a standard buffet. After that, I ate the meat, which looked like it was a few days old. I do not expect this for 60 euros. I was promised a lot on the phone during the reservation about a special Christmas buffet, so reserving a standard buffet instead of old food amounts to a scam. I am shocked by the level of Koddoo; first a good world, then scamming people. I will never come here again. Please, if you are reading this, do not come back either, so that we can teach Koddoo a lesson. I would like to receive a response from Koddoo Sittard with a formal apology and a full refund. And as an extra note, the ice cream was less, the meat was less, so we are paying more and Koddoo Sittard understands this: poor quality. Once again, I am shocked by this. Once again, I expect an apology and a full refund from Koddoo; this looks more like a scam. My Boxing Day has been ruined by Koddoo. Once again, Koddoo, you should be deeply ashamed.

Horrible experience! The boss can't tolerate children! Stay away!

I'm not usually one for reviews, but what an unprofessional and arrogant "boss" at Kodoo! He's not really a boss, just a short-tempered man who only thinks about money! It all started the moment we walked in. We were with a large group, and one of the children, out of enthusiasm, started babbling "Chinese" (he'd been looking forward to this evening for a week to come back to this restaurant). The boss found this unacceptable for a child and spoke to us in a very arrogant tone. After a brief discussion, we paid over €500, because, well, where do you go last-minute with a large group to eat? During this discussion, the boss also said, "If I were really angry, I would have kicked you out." The majority, including myself, didn't hear this, or he would have been able to shove his international cuisine up his ass until it came out of his ears! So, during dinner, the children went to the playground, where they kept coming up to us to say that the "boss" had come at them again with threatening language, accusing them of vandalism and theft and all that other stuff, because, well, the little man was watching the camera... the children felt they were being targeted. After dinner, we went to the "boss" and asked him about the accusations. He arrogantly interrupted us repeatedly and wouldn't tolerate any contradiction. My last sentence was when I said that sometimes it's better to keep his mouth shut, and then I got an unintelligible sentence with a defiant smile on his face! We've been customers for years and never had any problems, until now! This was the last time. After our visit, I also read the reviews, and whenever there's a bad review, it always says there are children involved... well, sir, put an "adults only" sign on the door, then you won't have that problem!

Open until 10pm, but from 8pm onwards they no longer refill certain dishes and clear away and close the wok at 9pm.

This is what international cuisine should be like. The setting is very inviting, the sushi selection was very luxurious, and that's how you know you're going to eat well. Plenty of variety, lots of high-quality meat and fish, and a very chic setting. Also nice: here you get bottled soda, not a tap with water always added. They're not pathetic about giving you the real thing. They had a wide variety of drinks, and the desserts were very extensive. Tables were cleared quickly, unlike other chaotic places. This was on a weekday, but it's one we'll happily return to. Top-notch international cuisine.

A few years ago, when we first came here, Kodoo was a good restaurant with delicious food (and yes, it's a restaurant where you serve yourself and then have it stir-fried or grilled). But the last three times, which were last month, December and September, the food, or rather the sauce you can choose for stir-frying, has been extremely salty...really extremely salty...which, for us, significantly lowers the quality compared to what it used to be (well-seasoned, tasty, not too salty, spicy, etc.). We come here because it's a simple place where we can go as a family, and I don't book it all the time, but otherwise...I'd happily choose something else.

Great atmosphere, but the food tastes the same, from fish to meat and side dishes. Drinks are simply taken away right in front of you while it's still full. Then, when you get your food and return to your table, everything has been cleared away—drinks, cutlery, everything—as if you're being chased out the door. A shame.

Afgelopen weekend had ik iets bijzonders gepland: voor het eerst in vijf jaar mocht ik mijn dochter van zeven eindelijk weer zien. We hadden een vader-dochter avondje gepland, iets wat voor ons van onschatbare waarde is. Ik koos bewust voor Kodo Sittard omdat ik dacht dat het een fijne plek zou zijn om samen rustig te eten, zeker omdat mijn dochter wat langzamer eet en ik geregeld moet opstaan om eten te halen. Ik wilde dus graag een tafel waar ik overzicht had en makkelijk met haar kon blijven communiceren. Wat er toen gebeurde was ronduit teleurstellend en menselijk kil. We werden weggestopt in een hoek waar ik totaal geen zicht had op mijn dochter. Toen ik dit beleefd uitlegde en vroeg of we misschien ergens anders konden zitten – en duidelijk maakte waarom dit belangrijk was – leek men mee te denken. Tot ik werd verplaatst naar een andere "hoek", die eigenlijk nog slechter was qua overzicht. Toen ik aangaf dat ook dit niet werkte en vroeg of men echt geen tafel had waarbij we op een normale manier samen konden zitten (terwijl de zaak voor de helft leeg was), kreeg ik te horen: "We geven geen tafel van vijf aan twee personen." Alsof een beetje empathie niet past binnen het concept van gastvrijheid. Het werd via de walkie-talkie afgedaan alsof ik een lastig probleem was. Terwijl ik alleen vroeg om een beetje menselijkheid op een belangrijke avond. Ik wilde dan liever terug naar onze oorspronkelijke tafel. Op dat moment kwam de bedrijfsleider er ineens bij, die ons onderschepte. Hij vroeg nogmaals wat er aan de hand was, ik legde het nogmaals rustig uit. Toen mocht het ineens wél: we kregen de tafel die eerder zogenaamd onmogelijk was. Prima, dacht ik. Beter laat dan nooit. Maar wat daarna gebeurde vond ik volstrekt onprofessioneel. De bedrijfsleider kwam vlak nadat mijn dochter net zat ineens terug om mij op een harde, agressieve toon de les te lezen over het feit dat ik eerder had aangegeven dat ik mogelijk een slechte review zou schrijven. Dat gesprek voerde hij openlijk, pal voor mijn dochter van zeven. Een kind dat net haar eerste avond met haar vader in vijf jaar meemaakt. Ik gaf hem rustig aan dat dit niet het moment was om zo'n gesprek te voeren, zeker niet in haar bijzijn. Maar hij bleef doorgaan – met een houding die totaal niet past bij iemand die leidinggeeft aan een horecazaak. Het gesprek heb ik uiteindelijk afgebroken. Later, toen mijn dochter even aan het spelen was, ben ik nog naar hem toe gegaan om aan te geven wat deze ervaring met ons gedaan had. Dat het ons emotioneel geraakt heeft. Zijn reactie? Één woord: "Oke." Geen excuses, geen erkenning, niets. Deze avond had voor ons een mooie herinnering moeten zijn, maar is door gebrek aan empathie, slechte communicatie en ronduit onprofessioneel gedrag van de bedrijfsleider een pijnlijke herinnering geworden. Niet om het eten. Niet om het concept. Maar puur door hoe wij als mensen zijn behandeld. Dit restaurant snapt blijkbaar niets van gastvrijheid. Kodo Sittard heeft laten zien dat regels en structuren belangrijker zijn dan mensen. En vooral: belangrijker dan een kind dat haar vader na jaren weer mag zien. Zeer teleurstellend. Geen aanrader. En nooit meer.

We had planned a father-daughter evening, something that is priceless to us. I deliberately chose Kodo Sittard because I thought it would be a nice place to eat together in peace, especially since my daughter eats more slowly and I regularly have to get up to get food. So, I wanted a table where I could have an overview and easily maintain communication with her. What happened next was downright disappointing and humanly cold. We were tucked away in a corner where I had no view of my daughter at all. When I politely explained this and asked if we could sit somewhere else – and explained why this was important – they seemed to be willing to consider it. Until I was moved to a different "corner," which actually offered an even worse overview. When I pointed out that this wasn't working either and asked if they really didn't have a table where we could sit together normally (even though the restaurant was half empty), I was told, "We don't give two people a table for five." As if a little empathy doesn't fit into the concept of hospitality. It was dismissed over the walkie-talkie as if I were a difficult problem, while all I was asking for was a little humanity on an important evening. I preferred to go back to our original table. At that moment, the manager suddenly appeared and intercepted us. He asked again what was going on, and I calmly explained again. Then, suddenly, it was allowed: we got the table that had previously been supposedly impossible. Fine, I thought. Better late than never. But what happened next struck me as completely unprofessional. The manager returned shortly after my daughter had just been seated to lecture me in a harsh, aggressive tone about the fact that I had previously indicated I might write a bad review. He had this conversation openly, right in front of my seven-year-old daughter. A child who was just experiencing her first evening with her father in five years. I calmly told him this wasn't the time for such a conversation, especially not in her presence. But he persisted—with an attitude completely unbecoming of someone managing a restaurant. I eventually broke off the conversation. Later, while my daughter was playing for a moment, I went to him to explain the impact this experience had on us. That it had affected us emotionally. His reaction? One word: "Okay." No apology, no acknowledgement, nothing. This evening should have been a wonderful memory for us, but due to the manager's lack of empathy, poor communication, and downright unprofessional behavior, it became a painful one. Not because of the food. Not because of the concept. But purely because of how we were treated as human beings. This restaurant apparently doesn't understand hospitality. Kodoo Sittard has shown that rules and structures are more important than people. And especially: more important than a child seeing her father again after years. Very disappointing. Not recommended. And never again.

Very disturbing experience at Wereldrestaurant Kodoo – serious violation of privacy by owner What happened at Wereldrestaurant Kodoo is downright shocking and absolutely unacceptable. During our visit, an incident occurred between two children in the play area. Unfortunately, something like this can happen, but the owner's reaction was truly astonishing. Instead of dealing with the situation professionally and discreetly, the owner decided to show the security footage of the incident several times to other guests present. Yes, you read that right: the owner showed the footage – in which children were clearly recognizable – several times to third parties who had nothing to do with the incident. The child involved saw this happen and was visibly saddened and hurt by it. And rightly so. This is not only completely inappropriate from a human perspective, it is also a serious violation of privacy. Security footage is not entertainment for other guests, and may not be shared by law. What happened here was a gross violation of boundaries – both morally and legally. When I confronted the owner about this and pointed out that this is prohibited by law, he clearly did not know how to behave. Instead of admitting his mistake, apologizing or looking for a solution, he became rude. He kept walking away, refusing to engage in conversation He knew he was wrong, but chose to avoid his responsibility. Very bad behavior for someone who runs a public catering establishment and is supposed to provide a safe and respectful environment - especially when children are involved. The fact that an entrepreneur finds it necessary to show such sensitive images raises major questions about the sense of responsibility and integrity of this restaurant. Parents, be warned: if something happens to your child in this restaurant, there is apparently a good chance that you and others will be allowed to 'enjoy' it publicly. It is clear to us: we will never set foot here again. And we hope that others will take this seriously as well. A restaurant that treats children's privacy so carelessly and disrespectfully should have no place in the hospitality industry.

This restaurant has good reviews but I don't get it. I just really didn't like the atmosphere and the food. It feels like you're in a basement. The food is bad. The cheapest of the cheapest. For example the fruit, almost all canned. Long story short it's not worth your money! Alcohol also costs extra money outside of that. And fish is not separated so people go with the fish spoon in all the other food.

Always good food. We like going there. Kids can have fun in the play area.

Very good quality for an all you can eat buffet concept. Food is of good quality and not cold which is often the case with these types of concepts. Recommended for everyone. Also very suitable for children. I have been here myself with my 1.5 year old son. Lots of options for him and they also have a play area in the back.

Food is like most all you can eat. Don't expect culinary highlights, but that's the case at most all you can eat restaurants. I found it a bit on the pricey side in terms of price/quality ratio. Nice to come with small kids, they can play in the spacious play area

Disappointing experience We came with a group for a children's party, but were immediately greeted unfriendly. Nothing was allowed to be put on the table because "the time would start then" - something that was communicated in an unfriendly way. In addition, a large amount had to be paid immediately, but large notes were not accepted, which was particularly inconvenient. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cold and unsociable. There was little laughter or empathy from the staff. Some dishes, such as the scampi with the wok and the pancakes, were even still raw. Also, not everything was replenished on time at the buffet. All in all a disappointing experience. We will not come back here and would not recommend it to others.

Really recommended to go with children. There is a separate play area. The food is delicious and the buffet is very extensive.

In many cases the food was lukewarm. Stir-frying is by far the best option, but the line was long so I went to the buffet anyway.
