Nice shop with ‘men’s gifts’ and clothing. Too bad the owner can only keep the restaurant part open in the summer for understandable reasons. Because we really like to come here for lunch and tea. All super tasty things, original combinations and a large selection of delicious tea.

Had a wonderful high tea. The owner explains a lot about the background and the correct way to prepare different types of tea, combines the chosen tea flavors with the dishes at a suitable moment and makes her own delicacies. The High tea excellent with tea flowers is a bonus to the whole. The salads that were ordered by other guests also looked delicious. The location is at the back of a shop and is on the one hand a clothing store and on the other hand a gift shop (both from her and her husband), where you can buy clothes and different teas, supplies and other delicacies.

We had just arrived and sat down at a table. The employees stood behind the counter and didn't even say hello. They were going through a whole plan together. They saw us and stood behind the post. After a few minutes we received no attention and we left. Thank you for your response. You could have at least said good morning. Then customers will at least feel welcome.

Delicious food. This is a 1-person company, so please be patient. But that patience was rewarded with delicious food, original flavor combinations and loving care. Also delicious tea and very nice (culinary) gifts for reasonable prices. I'll definitely return!

Had a delicious high tea for a friend's baby shower. Nice explanation about the tea in advance, a real addition to the whole. Delicious snacks on the beautiful etagères and a nice atmosphere. What a nice place, definitely one to go back to!

Delicious high tea, nice atmosphere, personal approach. In short, highly recommended (also for gifts). Last minute the owner still made room for a high tea, although we will make a reservation earlier next time ;). Still, it was super sweet that she arranged that and made room for it. First of all, we were allowed to choose different types of tea that could be drunk during the high tea. The owner enthusiastically told us some facts about it and let us find out in peace. We managed to choose a number of flavors from a wide range, which was super fun. Then we first had a delicious soup and then had the time to enjoy a delicious meal from the well-stocked etagere. We will definitely come back and now we know where to go for nice gifts and clothing :)

Very nice place, good food and the employees are friendly

This is our 2nd high tea experience here and once again very tasty, nice, surprising and more than sufficient. The owner and her staff are very friendly, helpful and provide nice information about the teas. The dishes are all homemade and delicious. Add to that the nice, atmospheric environment and you will understand that I would like to come here again!

We had a surprise baby shower and upon arrival the employee asked the pregnant woman if she was coming for the baby shower, no surprise. We requested 2 coffee and 2 tea, but we did not receive this... The owner was nice, but the high tea was disappointing, which is a shame, but next time we will go somewhere else

Onze 50 jarige bruiloft hebben wij op 4 juni 2023 gevierd bij Carpe Diem in Waalre Deze zijn gespecialiseerd in o.a. High thea. Het was fantastisch. Wij hebben dit gevierd in de grote tuin bij dit restaurant, met 36 mensen. Lyn, de eigenaresse maakt alles zelf, en schenkt daar ook telkens een bij passende thee bij, voorafgaande me een heerlijke soep van vergeten groenten. Erg leuke bediening en na afloop volop de tijd om nog even na te borrelen. Voor ons een fantastische dag Carpe Diem veel dank

A nice 'hidden' spot. I was there for a party. There is a casual atmosphere. Delicious snacks. Friendly service. I was surprised that they didn't have 'normal' ice tea. Well, ice tea green. And a nice gift shop, which also tempted me to buy nice things 😊. I don't know anything else about food and drink prices. So I can't judge that.

Nice place for a really good cup of tea or coffee. A delicious piece of chocolate was also served with it. They clearly go a step further in quality compared to other cafes. The tea is also sold in the gift shop.

Heerlijke stek om te lunchen op het mooie terras achter het winkelcafe. Je ziet van de straat af niet wat voor een prachrige tuin er is. Staan wel borden op de stoep voortaan, met foto's er op van de tuin.Zeker eens gaan kijken. Leuk winkeltje met persoonlijke kadootjes die je niet overal ziet. Een verrassende menu kaart voor lunch of een koffie met taart momentje. De gastvrouw is enthousiast, en maakt alles zelf vers. Lekkere verrassende combinaties die je nergens anders ziet. Ook heerlijke taart ! Zeker een aanrader !

Winkelcafe Carpe Diem is echt een aanrader. Niet alleen hebben ze hele leuke, originele cadeautjes maar je kunt er ook heerlijk lunchen. De gastvrouw is heel enthousiast, weet alles over haar producten en probeert bijzondere combinaties uit. Hierdoor staat er eens wat anders op de kaart dan in vele lunchrooms. Tevens heeft Carpe Diem een fijne tuin waar je met lekker weer heerlijk buiten, uit de wind kunt zitten.

Lyn serves the best coffee in Waalre. No doubt. The cakes are every time fresh baked. It's always a surprise what she makes, and it's always delicious. When the weather is good you can enjoy it in the perfect garden behind the store.

Sunday afternoon some sightseeing and then we settle in Waalre. While the intention is to turn right, my girlfriend thought we should take a look at the Mantano men's store because shorts would be useful now. So okay, I quietly walk into the store where we are greeted kindly and with good advice and a row of hangers we head to the fitting rooms. To our surprise, fitting room 1 is the passage to a shop where you can buy nice original gifts, but there you have it; There is also a terrace where you can be spoiled with delicious dishes, sublime wines and great friendliness. So after a session in the fitting room we enjoyed a delicious dish and then sipped a nice house wine. When we left we both had the same thought: we will come back here. If not for the clothes, then for the wonderful terrace with exceptional delicacies. Highly recommended to walk in there and forget about the busy life for a moment.
