Cozy terrace; beautiful planters create a lovely atmosphere. The service is top-notch; I noticed—and mentioned this today—that the staff had received training. Of course, if you have a smile and are attentive without being overbearing, that’s fine. But if one conveys it sincerely and assesses the guests correctly, that adds value for me. In these expensive times, you go there for relaxation and, naturally, something tasty. If I am served in a grumpy manner, the ‘moment’ is ruined. Of course, everyone has a bad day now and then, but the guests shouldn't have to suffer the consequences. That is why I give my compliments, and I/we will keep coming back. It is the tone that makes the music, that is my motto! 😁

The four of us thought we would have a nice lunch at Wonders in Schagen, but the fun quickly vanished. It took at least twenty minutes for our first drink order to be taken; thirty minutes later, someone had to wave at the waitress to order food, which we then didn't receive until forty-five minutes later. After the food was cleared, we had to wait another forty-five minutes, waving our arms, to order a final drink. Sure, we understand it's hot, but that's not how you treat guests. The waitress didn't even manage a smile while paying; unfortunately, it was a mediocre afternoon.

We sat outside on the terrace and that was fine. Friendly and attentive service.

I expected more style from Wonders. The service was fine and very friendly. The sharing platter was disappointing; there wasn't enough bread/toast, so we couldn't eat and enjoy everything properly.

We had a very nice evening at Wonder's in Schagen. We were warmly welcomed and seated at a table by the window. The staff were attentive throughout the evening and checked regularly to see if everything was to our liking. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, is tastefully decorated, and the music was at a pleasant volume. The dishes were flavorful, including a good onion soup as a starter and a tasty main course. What stood out was the friendly and sincere service. When asked about a suitable wine to accompany the dish, there wasn't an immediate clear answer available, but the staff member was honest about it. That actually came across as pleasant and spontaneous. All in all, a lovely evening with good service, flavorful dishes, and a relaxed atmosphere. We would love to come back here again!

Very unfriendly staff! We wanted to have a drink on the terrace, but because my bike basket was full, I wanted to keep my bike with me. It was very quiet on the terrace, so I thought that would be possible. To my surprise, I was told in a very unfriendly manner that this was not allowed. When I explained why I wanted to do that, I received a sarcastic remark, and the man said that he wouldn't park his car on my driveway either. They could have thought of another solution, but apparently, they don't need revenue. We left and will NEVER sit or eat on the terrace there again!

Delicious food, all freshly prepared, no convenience products. Very friendly and fast service. They speak good German and English and understand our Dutch. We'll gladly come again; highly recommended.

A tuna salad sandwich, and I had a chicken salad sandwich. Very sparsely filled. There was no chicken in it. The tuna salad was also way too sparse. So we’ll be skipping this place from now on. Stupid of you, because it was packed outside.

It is a bit sad and pathetic how Wonders handles their own mistakes. We made a reservation a week in advance and had dinner here with four of us, settling the bill properly with a tip (without checking the bill). A few days later, Wonders called to say that they had charged the wrong table and that we still had to pay a small additional amount. What a pathetic entrepreneur that makes you; just cut your losses, this is pathetic. Also, the arrogant manner in which they called. Never again at Wonders for me.

We were able to sit on the heated terrace with the dog. The service was polite and the lunch tasty.

Good service, nice atmosphere, but unfortunately the food wasn't anything special. The burger was average, the fries weren't crispy, and the pre-made ravioli were drowning in pesto. The truffle fries and the Turkish flatbread were okay. Prices too high for the quality/taste of the food. It's a great place to have a drink.

Screamingly expensive, the mayonnaise had a discolored skin on the much-too-small container.

We celebrated our wedding on April 25, 2026, at Wonders in the upstairs room. The staff is very friendly and efficient. They think along with you to find solutions. Nothing is too much trouble. We had a wonderful day! The food was superb.

We used to eat deliciously here, but this time it was just not as good. We had ordered a surprise tasting platter as a starter for the first time. I indicated that I don't like raw onion or spring onion. Before the starter arrived, the wait staff (a different person each time) asked twice if I liked fried onion (because they put this on the chicken satay). So I did trust that the message came across that I really didn't want raw onion or spring onion. What do you think?? A starter packed with raw onion. Raw onion in the steak tartare, spring onion in the salmon, and a handful of extra spring onion sprinkled over the entire platter. We had already eaten from the platter, but I did ask about it. Then we received a small bowl of chicken salad that contained no onion. I do understand that they can't provide a whole new platter if we've already eaten from it. But the waitstaff should have mentioned that there was a lot of raw onion in the starter; then I would have chosen something else, because it wasn't stated on the menu which dishes would be served. The chicken satay is heated sous-vide (in my opinion), whereas it used to come from the grill pan. Now I could just grab the metal skewer, so that says something about the temperature of the meat. I feel that the flavor deteriorates due to this method. The tasty satay sauce does mask it, though, and provides flavor and warmth to the meat. The service (a different lady than the one who took the order) was adequate, though, because at my request the meat was briefly fried in the pan again; that was no problem, and after that, the meat was actually tasty. Unfortunately. So all in all; the service regarding a complaint is top-notch. I think the quality of the food has declined, but the restaurant atmosphere is very good because the interior is very cozy and there is plenty of serving staff.

We had a 3-course dinner with 6 people; all six ordered a dish with fries... in the end, we received 2 cones for 6 people... far too little, of course!... The waitress gave a strange explanation that they do this to prevent waste... when my husband asked how many fries he would get if he ordered by himself, she said: one cone!... the meat dishes are tasty but minimal!... and pork tenderloin with brie is without brie... Well, long story short: once, never again!

I had pizza with pulled pork. The pulled pork was delicious, but the dough was a bit bland. I would come back again, though, and order something else.

Beautiful, stylish interior inside and a large terrace outside, lovely in the sun. Be sure to choose one of the comfortable benches against the facade, and you can sit there comfortably with a nice drink.

Whatever you do, don't come on Thursday evening!

But the men are incredibly rude to the young staff. A girl is refilling wine bottles. She's working above her weight when a waiter walks by and sees she can barely hold the bottles. They offer no help. With the last bottle, she asks a waiter for help because she couldn't reach it. He doesn't help, but simply says, "Grab a chair," and then doesn't help, which is outrageous.

We booked a 4-course Valentine's Day quiz for €45 per person, excluding drinks. It all seemed like a lot of fun, and it was enjoyable, but we went home hungry! What we received was tasty, but far too little. We got everything to share (very nice), but the amount we received was actually for one person. It's not like we had to walk out the door completely full, but this was really not good. So, way too expensive for what we got, we went home disappointed.

Had a delicious dinner; this was offered to me for my birthday by my brother and sister-in-law, together with my wife. Good service, friendly, and another beautiful memory made.

We spontaneously dined here. The food was excellent, but it was all a bit cramped. When we mentioned this to the waitress, she first accused us of being busy, then told us we should have asked to be seated elsewhere (strange, as it was practically full). When we then mentioned that people were constantly walking past our table and that it seemed uncomfortable for the staff to constantly maneuver between them, we were brushed aside with a rather unfriendly "have a nice evening." Next time, we'll just go back to the SOHO neighborhood.

We ate here with a small group over Christmas. The atmosphere is very cozy, and the service is very friendly, attentive, and helpful. However, the food is of a lesser quality. I had the roast beef as a starter and the chicken rouleau as a main course. It's a bit pricey for the price. Three slices of roast beef with a sesame cracker that was too hard to bite through. The chicken rouleau is two small pieces of chicken hidden in a large bowl of flavorless pasta. 5 stars for the service!

You're sitting close together, the waitress is friendly but just too busy. She forgot the dessert menu, and eventually, the kids got tired. Chairs are too close to each other, so if people already sitting there don't behave themselves, you can barely leave your seat.

My cod was undercooked and disappointingly presented. The fries were tasty, but hey, it's a restaurant, right?

Always delicious food, the menu changes seasonally, but some dishes remain. This makes it very appealing to me. The service is always fast, good, and the staff is very friendly.

I went there with a friend on Wednesday evening, November 26th, and Gwen greeted us! We wanted to order a drink. We had to show our ID, which we didn't have with us. It's understandable that they'd ask, and of course, it's impossible without ID! But I politely told her it wasn't necessary. She then walked away and came back later to ask my friend if she wanted the drink she wanted to order. It was pretty bad that she immediately walked away so rudely. My friend didn't want an alcoholic drink either. And then the employee immediately left without politely asking if we wanted something else to drink. Now we were left empty-handed! I think she should be confronted about this. Last time, she helped us, and then she didn't ask us for over an hour if we wanted another drink because our glasses were empty!

Almost everything was great. It's a shame that the wait staff forgot my allergy three times and I ended up getting something with nuts. That was resolved eventually, but it's unpleasant to eat one after the other.

Dinner for five. The lamps were hung too low above the table. Two men bumped their heads on the lamp. We were told to be careful. When we pointed out that the lamps were hung too low, they said it was for the ambiance. Poor lighting. The five of us were reading the menu with our phone lamp. We're a bit older than average. They also indicated that the ambiance is more important to them. Dinner for five included one cone of fries, which was immediately empty. When we asked, they said that one cone of fries is served for every three people. The five of us quickly agreed. We last ate at Wonders in Schagen.

Chai latte was very bland. The tunna melt, which was listed on the menu as having fine iceberg lettuce, was served with arugula. Cutlery wasn't placed neatly.

Cozy terrace on the market square! I had a wonderful time sitting on the terrace with a beautiful view of the church. The service was incredibly fast and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The pastries were truly delicious, highly recommended! The coffee was average, but the pastries more than made up for it. A perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon with a fantastic piece of cake. I'll definitely be back!

It's really nice here. Lots of flies, but luckily we're inside. It's not too crowded inside, thankfully. The food is delicious, too, and there's a huge selection.

We had lunch here during the West Friesland market. It was unbearably hot and incredibly crowded. Despite this, we received friendly service and had a delicious meal. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!

A great place. Beautifully decorated establishment. The food was really great. The whole family enjoyed it. We waited a bit for the food, but it was worth it. The downside was the price of the 75cl bottle of still water: €15 for two bottles is ridiculous! A salad with the omelet would have been nice, and fries with the burger would have been just as nice. I still recommend it.

A visually hip place with super-motivated service. Unfortunately, we found the portions to be much too small for the price of the food. A portion of tortellini with 8 individual pieces is really nothing. Without the starter (whipped brie - it was absolutely fantastic), my partner probably wouldn't have even been full. Of the two dishes we ordered with fries, only one was brought. After asking, the portion would have been enough for both of us... Strangely, that wasn't the case at the neighboring tables?!? What a shame...

Tijdens de Schagermarkt hier geluncht. Het broodje kipsalade was zeer summier besmeerd met wat kipsalade met wat uitgedroogde bosui en wat slablaadjes eroverheen. Dit was wel een erg minimalistisch gerechtje. Bediening was vriendelijk.

Had to wait more than an hour for the food. When it was served the burger and pizza was cold. Very poor and absolutely no value for money. In my opinion they just forgot about us. Are too modest to send everything back. Which should have been done. No more Wonders Schagen for the time being.

Incredibly good! I went out for dinner with my parents and we were served excellently by Eric. Besides the fact that the food was delicious, we were served very quickly and we had perfect timing for food and drinks, brought by Wouter... Both men had a nice chat and spent time with the guests. I was also positively surprised at checkout because the price-quality ratio is perfect here!

We had two vouchers of 45 euros from personal note on our phone. But because we had not physically printed the vouchers (we thought, as an older generation, we live in a digital age). we did not receive the discount of 90 euros. We are now obliged to book one more time and come by so that we can still redeem the vouchers. The staff did not want to print the receipts for us. This is very sophisticated and cunning.

Been there before for snacks and cocktails. Now for dinner. Service was nice, food all came very quickly. Diamaat tenderloin in a few pieces, but this is really an ordinary steak. Doesn't melt in your mouth 😉 it looked like a food bar so busy around you. Great for drinks or cocktails. But we are not going to have dinner anymore. We thought we would eat comfortably... you will be outside within an hour and a half. Friend wasn't full either☺️🤪

What a nice dinner this was! With three kids and a baby in the stroller, room was made available for us at the last minute. The service was very good. Just like the food! We had a wonderful evening here and will definitely come back.

We had dinner there for the first time on Saturday evening, really great! Food was great, service was great, so we thought on Sunday, let's have lunch there with two dear friends. During lunch we walked outside for a cigarette and I wanted to use my vape. My friend couldn't get her butt to light and she ended up standing half in the hall trying to light it and it worked. Someone from the restaurant came forward on high legs and my girlfriend was scolded. Some cigarette smell came in and the restaurant employee was not pleased with that. And I certainly understand that. His right of course! Girlfriend has apologized, we don't know whether it was accepted, his head was in a storm. Once back to the table to continue enjoying our lunch, I noticed that the employee who scolded my friend was discussing the incident with someone from the wait staff. I noticed that he was pointing at my girlfriend, with his face. Was as clear as anything. It's completely fine to speak to someone about their behavior or whatever, but if an apology is offered, accept it. Discussing with other staff is also fine, but do so afterwards and not in the middle of your restaurant, close to our table! That's really not chic..... And whether you are an employee, manager or owner, this has not been handled professionally. If everything had been handled more mildly, all stars would have been 5, but now a few have been removed. Don't know if we will come back, very unfortunate....
