It was a really lovely place, the value for money was excellent, and the portions were generous! The waiters were all very friendly, although the ambiance could be improved. Still, highly recommended!

Delicious noodles, slightly spicy and very flavourful. When a chopstick of ours fell down, service noticed without even having been notified and we got a new pair. Really nice! I ordered Kimchi too - it tasted slightly sweet, but good kimchi flavours.

The belt noodles and paomo (pita bread soaked in mutton soup) are both delicious, and the beef in the beef noodles is tender and fresh. This restaurant is worth recommending.

My travel companion ate seafood noodles and some kind of pickle salad, unfortunately he got very sick at home about 2 hours later

Stick to the round noodles if you prefer thinner noodles as the ‘triangular’ noodles were a trifle too thick for my liking. Generally all the noodles are well flavoured though the meat sauces can be more generous for the Minced Pork and Dan Dan noodles. The braised beef noodles were full of ingredients so that’s really a hearty bowl of soupy noodles. The Korean fried chicken and fried chicken noodles were pretty tasty as well.

The food was absolutely delicious; I had the hand-pulled noodles with chili oil. It came with tasty stir-fried vegetables, and the portion was very generous for only €11. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the service was excellent.

Beware: "vegetarian" soup means chicken broth with tofu. But Chinese crepes are ok.

Full of MSG, nothing like authentic Xi'an flavor, and terrible service! It was full of MSG, nothing like authentic Xi'an flavor, and the service was atrocious! I walked 15 minutes with my suitcase to this place and was deeply disappointed. The place didn't resemble a traditional Xi'an restaurant at all. I asked the waiter if they had anything suitable for Chinese palates and ordered a bowl of "beef sliced ​​noodles." It arrived without any beef, and only a few slices were added later. I took a sip of the soup, and it tasted completely of MSG; it wasn't a simmered broth at all. After forcing myself through a few mouthfuls, I felt dizzy. I kindly complained to the waiter about the excessive MSG, but the elderly, frail waiter (mentioned in a guest's comment below) said, "We don't use chicken essence; we boil our broth." I said you could tell if it was boiled by just tasting it, but she shifted the blame onto me, saying, "The suitcase is yours, right? You're a tourist, so if you don't like the taste, it's not our fault." This was a complete lack of service awareness and basic etiquette. I didn't ask for a change; I simply wanted to provide feedback, but this was the attitude I received. Another young waiter also looked disdainful, didn't greet us, and was filled with resentment. Even the owner or an employee peeked out, creating a very poor atmosphere. The staff was poorly qualified, and hygiene and safety were also a concern. This was the worst restaurant I stayed at during my entire two-month trip. Not only was the food terrible, but it also made me feel sick, severely impacting my experience. Full of MSG, nothing like authentic Xi’an flavor, and terrible service! I dragged my suitcase for 15 minutes just to try this place, but it was a huge disappointment. The restaurant doesn’t look like a traditional Xi’an eatery at all. I asked the server what would be suitable for a Chinese palate and ordered the “beef knife-cut noodles.” What I got was a bowl of plain noodles with no beef. Only after I complained did they add few a pieces. The broth was full of MSG, not slow-cooked stock. After just a sip, I already felt dizzy. When I gave feedback that the MSG was overwhelming, the skinny old waiter (others mentioned this same guy in reviews) insisted, “We don’t use chicken essence, the broth is simmered.” I told him anyone could taste the difference. Instead of listening, he blamed me, saying, “That suitcase is yours, right? You’re a tourist. It’s just your taste, you can’t blame us.” Completely unprofessional and lacking basic manners. I never asked them to replace the dish, only gave feedback, but the reaction was shocking. Another young waiter looked annoyed the whole time, didn’t even greet customers properly. Even someone from the back—maybe the owner—was peeking out. The whole staff’s attitude was rude, and hygiene also seemed questionable. After two months of traveling, this is by far the worst restaurant I’ve been to. Bad food, bad service, and it even made me feel unwell.

This is the closest I’ve had to a true street-style jianbing (Chinese crepe) in years! While they swapped the beloved 薄脆 (crunchy báo cuì) for a Chinese donut, it didn’t take away from the experience—I was instantly transported back to the streets of Beijing and my favorite food. The Chinese “burger” was just as nostalgic, reminding me of the little neighborhood spot we loved in the hutongs: a soft bun with beef that was slow-cooked to perfection (next time we’ll definitely try the traditional pork). Already looking forward to my next visit!

Not really a good experience at this restaurant. We ordered a takeaway, the chicken wonton is not well cooked, meat is still half raw, which is unacceptable for chicken. The beef slices with sauce was ok, but too expensive, for 14 EUR normally I can get twice the beef from Chinese restaurants. And for the Liangpi, the taste was ok, but the quality is of doubt, I don’t know if it’s freshly made. So in summary, this is a restaurant that I would avoid

My last evening experience with the main dish was disappointing. The noodles were quite undercooked. When I first brought this up, I was told that this was how the dish was meant to be served. However, after asking again, they agreed to take it back and cook it more,it took some effort.. I hope the communication with customers can be improved.

The worst, ruined Xi'an cuisine

The best dumplings ever!!! The noodles are amazing. I couldn't finish it, because the portions are huge. Which is great. Overall very good food. Definitely recommending.

Really nice thick noodles :) plenty of options, also vegetarian (though most soups have a chicken broth). Liked the Chinese Ice Tea. Big portions though, we had this as a lunch and both couldn’t finish it. Their spicy option, and chili sauce on the table was sadly not that spicy… but the sour noodle soup was a tasty surprise. The service here is very poor, and the food tastes average, which is totally unworthy of this score. The yellow, thin, old waiter is of extremely low quality, and it seems that he came to work in the Netherlands without any basic education. I gently told her that the noodles were a bit hard, and she said that I was talking nonsense, and that their chef was very experienced, so why didn't they say that the noodles were hard, and I went to complain that the noodles were hard. In fact, the noodles were thin and thick, and stuck together, and the middle was not even cooked. And she attacked me personally, and told her colleagues in front of me that I was looking for trouble, and that if I couldn't afford to eat, I shouldn't come to eat noodles. It is the best Noodles in the Netherlands. I've been to many locations of the same restaurant around the country and it is always a great experience.

Taken me a while to write this because I’m not normally in the habit of posting bad reviews, but I ate here with friends in April and got pretty sick after. I had the chicken wonton soup for lunch and came down with it within a few hours. A grim couple of days followed to say the least. My friends were fine and enjoyed the food a lot, but I’m cautious of it now, especially having seen similar reviews for the same location of Xi’an. It’s a shame because I’ve eaten at the Amsterdam restaurant many times before and that’s why I took my friends while we were in The Hague. As I say, don’t like posting bad reviews but feel like I ought to share my experience.

Best thing that happened to me in the Netherlands food-wise... Not much to say here. Go for the hot oil noodles and try not getting addicted. Service is also super fast. (Now that they have a new place on Lange Poten I feel like their quality is not what it used to be 2 years ago, but oh well, still amazing.)

The chicken wonton soup was not good. The noodles were too hard and the chicken peaces were falling apart. Then the waitress tried to convince me the soup was a good. While I tried to explain what I do not enjoy and that I had tasted far better wonton soup elsewhere, she insisted that the soup was good.

I know Xi'an in Rotterdam. After an exciting day I decided to have a quick bite to eat here, before returning to Rotterdam. The food is just good. The price/quality ratio is even better. The place is not as nice as in Rotterdam: many tables, little walking space. The lady in charge runs her legs off, but does her utmost to serve everyone as quickly as possible, to serve and to clear away.. it is not atmospheric, but my experience is that in a "real" Chinese restaurant it is not about the atmosphere and the service, but about the food. I have been to restaurants all over the world where the interior is not something to write home about, but the food is perfect. No problem for me.

My third time here. The first two times were ok, nothing memorable. This time, three of us dined. First, my order was not delivered and I was given a dish I did not order. Ok, no real problem. Accidents happen. Meanwhile my daughter-in-law ordered braised beef noodles. The beef appeared to be raw: it was dark red and impenetrable. It had gristle and ligaments hanging off it. We asked the owner if the ‘braised beef’ was cooked. She snapped out that it was ‘cook 5 hours!!!’. If so, it must have been truly awful before it was cooked for 5 hours, because this beef was so hard that none of us could eat it. I have never tried to eat a rubber ball, but I now suppose that this braised beef had a similar texture, and even better resilience to knife and fork. But at least the taste was different: rubber balls lack MSG and beef stock flavour. When I paid the bill for the three meals and drinks, the owner announced the amount, and did not show me the details. The amount seemed high. So then I found out that she had charged me for the meal I did not order. She said it was an accident. Accidents happen with them, it seems. I’ll avoid them.

The handmade noodles were delicious. It felt like kalguksu. The steamed dumplings were not as good as I thought, but the kimchi was really delicious. There are two restaurants with the same name, but the other one is a bit bigger and seems to have skewers. I want to go back later.

The lamb paomo at this restaurant isn’t paomo at all—it’s just bread cut into pieces and thrown in. It looks like bread that’s been fed to seagulls and left soaking in water for days, which is absolutely disgusting. And to make matters worse, there’s cucumber in the lamb paomo, which is just sinful. The jianbing guozi isn’t authentic either—it’s basically just an egg pancake. On top of that, this place even charges for tap water, which I absolutely can’t accept.

I can only say that it's filling, but apart from the name containing Xi'an, the food inside really has nothing to do with Xi'an. Even the mutton soup with steamed buns contains bread crumbs?

I ordered the braised noodle. While the chicken and veggie parts were ok, the noodle was too bland. And the worst thing is that a few hours later I had a diarrhea. I think some things went off but I didn’t notice it. Would still like to come back and try other things tho.

I love this place and if I go out somewhere, this is my go to shop to take my friends. The staff is kind and will always try to help u if u don’t know what u want. The food is delicious. I love the noodles, rice and everything else! They also still make handmade noodles what really delegated them from the rest! I could never stop recommending them!

Beef with rice was tasty, but the beef was more than half fat and tendons. Brrr. The lamb satay also had a nice taste, but many pieces of 'meat' were also very fatty and gummy. Service is okay, but don't expect too much. Atmosphere is fine, but the acoustics are poor, when it is busy it is difficult to hear each other.

The chef was coughing while preparing the food—if you're still sick, you shouldn't come to work! This is completely unhygienic and irresponsible, putting all the guests at risk of getting sick. On top of that, the food wasn’t even good. Definitely not coming back!

Extremely accommodating staff that received our big group for dinner in their smaller establishment. I think we were also quite loud at some point and they never complained. The food is great, they prepare it quickly and it's good value for money. Furthermore they allow you to take home leftovers if you ask, and my friend ate that for dinner the next day, which gives you an indication of portion size. Only thing to note is that this establishment doesn't have a liquor license, but the other bigger Xi'an in the street does.

They forgot to deliver the dumplings. When we called they said they were going to deliver it. An hour later nothing. When I called they said they weren't going to bring the dumplings and they weren't going to give the money back. Very rude, she was shouting and interrupting me continuously. I have never been treated like this by a restaurant, do not order from here!

Seriously good noodles. I can’t even begin to describe how good it was. I had the dan dan noodles with the thick noodles and I can’t recoomend it enough. The noodles were perfectly cooked and chewy and that saus was super garlicky and delicious. I seriously debated ordering another bowl.

The noodles are quite authentic. Judging from the accent, the pastry chef must be a fellow from Shaanxi. But the mutton steamed buns were a bit unsatisfactory. The mutton is not tasty enough. The buns were not strong enough and fell apart as soon as they were soaked in water. The boss should remove the mutton dip from the menu and focus on making noodles. .

I ordered dandan noodle, it was flavourful and big portion! the ratio of noodle, minced pork & other condiments is top. noodles are also from good quality. although it's a big portion, doesn't make me bloated. staffs were helpful and cheerful. place is clean, including its toilets. nice decoration inside. i also tried the steamed dumplings which i forgot to take pic. the filling is good, but the dumpling skin is too thick.
