The sushi was truly top quality. Beautiful presentation and delicious flavors. The staff was also extremely friendly. Unfortunately, we could only enjoy the food for a short time, but we will definitely come back to enjoy it thoroughly.

We ate at Yukai and the food was really delicious. It is also a cozy and atmospheric place, so in that respect, it is definitely recommended. Unfortunately, the service was quite disappointing for us. The reservation does state that you have two hours, but once inside, you are not reminded of that anymore. Additionally, the staff does not come by very regularly to take orders, meaning you constantly have to ask if you can still order something. We had ordered food and drinks after two hours, but when it turned out our time was up, we were literally asked to leave. We had not been informed that the two hours were almost over and found it particularly strange that we could simply order food and drinks first, only to have to leave almost immediately afterwards. The food and atmosphere are absolutely good, but we found the way the time limit and guests are handled very disappointing. A simple warning that the two hours are almost up would make a big difference. (Response to the owner's comment) Thank you for your response. We understand that there was a time limit on the reservation, but we really didn't think the way this was handled was polite. We had already ordered food and drinks, and as a result, we couldn't even order dessert in peace. To us, this approach feels a bit like a case of maximizing profit in one evening. Additionally, we felt that far too few people came to our table during dinner to take our food and drink orders. Unfortunately, that made the experience even more disappointing. In any case, it is clear to us that we will not be returning here.

We have eaten here a few times in the past. It was very good. So we made a reservation, and when we arrived, it was pleasantly busy. A few people were just leaving, so a table became available. Unfortunately, not for us; we were seated at a small table near the entrance in a corner. We didn't think that was okay and asked if we could have the table that had just become available. Unfortunately, that request was not granted. We are very disappointed in the rude behavior of the person who effectively kicked us out. Not good. Is this how you treat regular customers?

Delicious sushi in a nice atmosphere

Very cozy restaurant and fine food, though quite pricey. The 4 stars are based on the staff. This isn't criticism, but perhaps tips. We were seated earlier than another couple, but they were served sooner. She ordered 2 cocktails and those were made immediately as well. So we had to wait the first fifteen minutes before we were served. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and these were poured at the table from the almost empty bottle. The glasses were filled with just a tiny amount, far too little, yet we still had to pay the full price. Afterwards, I saw 2 glasses containing almost double the amount being taken to a table elsewhere on the tray. Subsequently, I ordered soft drinks twice and bottles were simply placed next to your old glass. Normally, you would ask if you want a new glass because it might have been dirty from the food. This wasn't asked either. All in all, the food was tasty and the young staff work very hard and are extremely friendly. I hope these tips will be taken into account. Price for 2 glasses of wine, 3 glasses of soft drink, 2 desserts, 5 sushi rolls, 2 side dishes €137

Reasonably good. Rice was well cooked. Toppings were mediocre in flavor. Bland. Soft shell crab was mostly fried dough with something resembling crab. Zero flavor except salt. Fried chicken was mostly too much dough and also salty. KFC does it better. Wine was good for a good price. Perhaps my frame of reference is too broad, but I found it mediocre. Service was friendly, but lacked overview. It took a long time for dishes to arrive. I get the impression that takeout sushi took priority over restaurant guests. Otherwise, it was pleasant.

Having already had a great first experience at Yukai, I have returned again. There was a slight hiccup that evening due to circumstances outside the restaurant, but the lovely staff, excellent service, and delicious food still made it a wonderful evening. The best sushi and grilled dishes you will find in a very wide area, with service that is always of an incredibly high standard for a very reasonable price. 100% recommended!

This was not our first visit and certainly not our last. We had a delicious meal, accompanied by nice cold wine in a cozy atmosphere. The service, provided by the owner herself, is a true hospitality professional. So much passion and dedication. All in all, a great little restaurant. Not too big, delicious sushi, highly recommended.

There were eight of us going out for dinner at Yukai. Instead of choosing something from the menu, we agreed that they would put a bit of everything on the table, a mix of hot and cold appetizers. We started with a starter and finished with a platter of various desserts. Our Australian family thought it was the best sushi ever! Compliments to the chef and certainly also to the genuinely friendly wait staff who translated all the dishes perfectly! Thank you for this amazing evening! 👍

Nothing to complain about. The staff spoke to us in English as their German wasn't very good. The food was wonderful, truly excellent. The server explained each piece of sushi to us upon request, and they were immediately available. It's a bit noisy there, unfortunately, but you can also eat outside, where there's even music. You can also order food for takeout or delivery. As a gift, you receive a mint drop at the end. The prices are fair, not too expensive, absolutely as they should be for good sushi. The hot food also tasted great. The concepts are also fantastic, like the communal food so everyone can have some. The two of us ate the 60-piece sushi menu, which was quite a lot, but still incredibly delicious. 😇 We didn't mind paying a little more for so much sushi.

A pleasant, friendly, and enthusiastic welcome was a great start to our first visit to Yukai. Our reserved table wasn't available when we arrived, so we immediately received an aperitif on the house: not necessary, but a wonderful gesture! We then received helpful explanations and advice, and thoroughly enjoyed everything we'd chosen: incredibly beautiful and tasty bites, perfectly seasoned, and the biggest plus: not too much rice! In short: definitely worth repeating!

Yesterday I ordered sushi from this place for the first time. A box and some individual portions because I needed food for four people. When I picked it up, the box was handed to me from the kitchen, and it felt quite warm. When I got home, the raw fish was indeed warm, which is very bad. Eating that can really make you sick. Two people each tried a piece but refused to eat it. Raw, warm fish with a topping that ran off on a different kind is simply unacceptable. The spring rolls were soft and practically empty. There was only one solution: the garbage. I immediately called. Spoke to one employee, then spoke to the chef, who concluded: the money would be refunded tomorrow. But later that evening, I received an email from "The Boss" with a bunch of nonsense about it all being our fault and me not refunding anything. Long story short: I received bad food, three people each with a different story, and the outcome: 113 euros in the bin and a very bad feeling about this company.

Delicious sushi, and especially the hot meats like beef teriyaki and yin yang chicken are delicious. The gyoza is also very good. Nothing to complain about. But honestly, we don't understand the hype that this is the best of the best. It's simply good! The service is friendly, but we had to keep asking if we could order more food and drinks. They didn't even notice (empty glasses are supposed to be visible), even though there were three people serving. Today, the wait for our dishes was very long (30-40 minutes per round of four dishes). In summary: good food, but not the "wow" factor for us.

You guys, what we just ate is like a little angel peeing in our mouths, so *incredibly* delicious. But really, stop it. We really have to go to Echt from now on and eat sushi there. Oh, man, this is unbelievable. I've been eating sushi in the Rotterdam area for years, but I've never had it as good as here. Ladies of this fantastic restaurant, Thanks so much. We took the 60-piece sushi platter with a small adjustment to our taste and that was carefully taken into account. Everything fresh, top quality and beautifully presented like a party on your plate. In addition, tempura shrimp, steak teriyaki, chicken dish, spring rolls and those divine sweet potato fries, everything packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. The waitresses deserve a special mention 💫. Despite the fact that we called late and arrived just before closing time, they radiated hospitality from start to finish. They took plenty of time to explain everything in a friendly, professional and with a real love for their profession. Their service was exceptionally good: attentive, polite and with a sincere smile. You could feel that they enjoy what they do, that's how hospitality should be! Delicious food. On the advice of the staff, we chose a set arrangement. All different rolls. There were four of us. We were able to taste one of each type. Then we ordered the best ones again. The place is not too big. Nice and intimate. I do recommend making a reservation. It fills up quickly.

We visited Yukai for a special evening: Nikkei Night — a six-course fusion dinner blending Japanese and Peruvian flavors. Very friendly staff who serve you with love. And describe everything well when serving. The cocktails are also delicious and highly recommended. My favorite is the white martini, the lady behind the bar really knows what she's doing, chapeau! The sushi is delicious! Everything on the menu is of very good quality and freshly prepared. Visited Yukai Echt for the first time. Tried Yukai to go Beek. But this comes fresh and partly warm from the kitchen straight to your plate, so it couldn't be better. Everything has its own full flavor. The tastiest sushi in the area if you ask us. Very friendly and helpful girls at the counter. We enjoyed it and will definitely come back.

Phenomenal dining spot in the center of Echt! Without a doubt the best ribs here. The sushi is fine, not the most special or “best” sushi I have ever eaten. In my opinion, the non-sushi dishes are what make this restaurant so great. The dynamite shrimps were fantastic. The dessert plate for 2 people was super diverse and, without exaggerating, the best dessert ever in a restaurant. The staff puts in a lot of effort and the atmosphere is very cozy. I can imagine that during the warm period you can also sit outside in the picturesque street.

Klein gezellig restaurant in Echt. De bediening was vriendelijk en attent. Wat wel opviel, was dat de tafels erg dicht tegen elkaar stonden, waardoor het bijna leek alsof de tafel naast ons bij ons hoorde. We konden ook hun gesprekken gewoon volgen. De kwaliteit van de sushi is prima. Helaas wel een minpunt. Wij hadden een platter van 60 stuks besteld en die kwam met maar liefst 4 verschillende vegetarische rollen, terwijl niemand van ons vegetarisch was. M.i. zouden ze hun gasten van tevoren moeten vragen of vegetarische rollen gewenst zijn.
