What a shitty business. They make you pay via Thuiszorgd, then don't deliver, and don't answer the phone. What disgusting people.

As a person who ate a lot of shawarma’s (in Syria)Abu Rateb NAILED it!!! First things first the restaurant has a high quality of hygiene, food and service. Secondly, the portions and the wraps are really filling for the reasonable prices that he’s offering, rather than the service and the waiters who are always willing to help and checking the costumers if they’re in need of anything, and the generosity of them when I’ve ordered many extras as of pickles or garlic cream without being charged for that. It was the first time but for sure not the last. If you’re looking for the best shawarma out there Abu Rateb will be the one for your crave!!!

The Arabic/Syrian staff speak broken Dutch. Flat round bread is industrial; meat on the roll is not layered. Moreover, I was sent out of the store with "Yallah, yallah, !!"

Expensive, very expensive... Honestly, the most expensive restaurant in the Netherlands... In all of Europe, you won't find a shawarma sandwich for 9 euros like yours, and it's only a normal size. And 9 euros for a falafel sandwich? What's that all about? Your restaurant is just average, with an average view, and it's small, yet the prices are outrageous... And the rest of the items are ridiculously expensive. I hope you'll adjust your prices so that families from Zaandam and Amsterdam will dare to come and eat at your place.

Surprise package from Too Good To Go. Description: Every day, there's some leftover chicken shawarma/meat shawarma or chicken. Note: this only includes the meat. You can make a delicious meal at home! What I actually received were two rolls filled with fries and sauce, freshly made... This was definitely not worth €10, let alone the €30 that Too Good To Go claims I would get for shawarma meat. I thought it would be interesting to try a Syrian restaurant. But now I feel so ripped off that I definitely won't try it again. Reply to comment: The concept of Too Good To Go is that even if there's food left over at the end of the day, it's too good to throw away. If there's nothing left at the end of the day, or if the food thrown away is bad, that's fine too. Then you have to cancel the TGTG package instead of just giving me something, which completely contradicts the promise and is certainly not worth the money. If you had told me I would get some fries in a roll, I would have declined and wanted my money back. You could have saved yourself the trouble of preparing them fresh. That's unfair. And food from the day before doesn't qualify for this either, because it could have spoiled by then. But indeed, I didn't get to try the food. When I got there, the food smelled good and looked good too. That made the disappointment even greater.

Their shawarma is good, but honestly, I don't recommend the rest at all. I wish you would pay attention to the other meals. I tried the crispy, but unfortunately it's not made in-store, meaning it's frozen and they just fry it. The grilled chicken was dry and had no spices. As for the prices, they've recently become very, very expensive. A chicken shawarma sandwich is 9 euros, which is too much, and an Arabic sandwich is 15 euros, which is expensive.

Negative experience at Zeitouna Restaurant Unfortunately, my experience at Zeitouna Restaurant today was disappointing. I ordered a meal and had to wait a very long time without any explanation or apology. When I asked the owner why the food was late, I received a rude and disrespectful response. This ruined my entire experience. I expected, at the very least, better customer service and respect, especially from the restaurant management. Hopefully, this will improve in the future.

The food here is delicious and the guys working there are very friendly! At first I found the food a bit greasy, but one of them kindly explained to me that the fat comes from the meat itself and that there is no oil added. That made sense, and in the end it was a delicious and great experience. Definitely recommended!
