We took a break for a drink. We bought two Long Island Ice Tees and a beer. The drinks cost €14, but they contained no alcohol. The drink tasted like an Ice Tee, not like a mix of various alcoholic drinks with cola. I only recommend bottled beer, at least a reliable brand.

Great atmosphere, peaceful on the terrace, Valeary was lovely, she gave us excellent advice on beers and other places to have dinner or a snack

We visited this bar and had a drink. The place was quite empty at the time. My brother was sitting with me but had not ordered a drink, and we completely understand that businesses may have a policy requiring seated guests to make a purchase. However, I felt the situation could have been handled with a little more courtesy. When my brother said he would leave shortly, he was asked to leave immediately, and I was then asked whether I was going to leave my drink and go with him. I respect the bar’s right to enforce its policy, but the tone of the interaction made us feel rather unwelcome. A more friendly and understanding approach would have made a big difference. I hope the team can take this as constructive feedback, as the experience could have been handled more pleasantly.

**★☆☆☆☆** Very disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was disorganized. We were moved to a different table three times because of the chaos in the bar, which made the whole evening frustrating. The waitress was rude and unprofessional. After serving us just drinks, she complained because not everyone in our group left a tip, even though some people did. Tipping is optional, and making customers feel guilty about it is unacceptable. The worst part happened when I paid. The waitress told me that my card payment had not gone through, so I paid again. When I checked my bank account the next day, I saw that **both transactions had been charged**, meaning I was charged twice for the same bill. This was extremely disappointing and should never happen. Overall, the poor organization, rude service, and being charged twice made this one of the worst bar experiences I've had. I would not recommend this place.

Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot recommend this bar. Upon arrival, it was immediately apparent that the staff seemed completely stressed. While this would be understandable in itself, it resulted in very unfriendly treatment. Friendliness and a pleasant interaction with guests seemed to be completely out of the question. On top of that, we experienced extremely long wait times – both before anyone even came to our table and later for our drinks. During this time, it was utter chaos. No one seemed to have any idea what was going on, orders were mixed up, and everything seemed completely disorganized. Especially in a bar, one expects a relaxed atmosphere and good service. Instead, we felt like we were intruding. For the prices, such service is simply unacceptable. Overall, a very disappointing experience; we will definitely not be returning.

Worst experience ever. The Server, an older women, was massively unfriendly. She walked away during Orders, placed us at other tables 3 Times, yelled at us etc. And in the end she was angry as well, because WE didn't Tip her, because of her behaviour. We felt Not only unwelcome but really uncomfortable as well. Do not recommend!

Awful experience, very rude waitress

We weren't allowed to choose where to sit; we had to move twice. We had ordered cocktails and a beer, but received cocktails from a pre-prepared bottle and a half-full glass… all that cost 14.50 euros each… the beer was also half-filled… Not recommended, stay away from it!

A nice location in itself. We ordered a water and a 0.35-liter bottle of house wine for €14, but received a 0.75-liter bottle for €28. The final bill came to €33.

A little stop before heading to the hotel, seemed like a nice place, although the door to the women's bathroom was CHALLENGING. The staff came to help the lady in need 😄

We ordered a pitcher of beer, which was served with only a third of its head. We ended up with just four 25cl glasses (1L). We asked for what we paid for, but she refused. We had to go to the owner, who only gave us an extra half-pint and made us pay a mandatory 10% "tip." I definitely do not recommend this bar. The waitress squeezed groups of two together to keep the larger tables open; I've never seen anything like it...

Disastrous experience at this bar! The owner is unpleasant and the waitress can't count. She charged us more than we actually consumed and refused to refund us! She did, however, offer us two free Cokes after we insisted. The cocktails we ordered, with or without alcohol, are very expensive, and the beers are also very expensive! The location is confusing because there's another, much better bar right next door. We thought we were on the terrace of the other bar. Never go there; you'll lose more money than at the casino!!!

Ok so me and my friends wanted to enjoy our last night in Amsterdam having a nice chill drink whilst playing some card games as we usually do, and saw this bar whilst walking. While strolling through the street the waitress immediately started talking loudly at us and telling us to come inside and get drunk since it’s a Friday night. At first we thought she was just begging friendly and out of pity we decided to go to her bar. 1 minute in she comes at us and starts demanding what we want and we say we don’t know yet, so she comes back after 5 mins and starts pressuring us to order. My friend still hadn’t quite decided and so the waitress started tapping her shoulder to hurry her up, and after my friend said idk she very rudely responded (“oh then I’ll come back tomorrow when you’re ready”). We already started feeling off but she shook it off as a joke when she saw we weren’t laughing. After she serves us our drinks she kept asking my friend what she wanted and my friend ended up not taking anything. This is where she started becoming more rude, talking to us as if weren’t paying customers!! She then says it’s a Friday night and if we’re only gna pay for 3 drinks we need to leave in like 30 mins so that other people can come in (btw her bar was basically EMPTY). So long story short, avoid this bar at all costs!!!

Terrible, terrible. We sat down by accident, thinking we were sitting in the next table, which had a great atmosphere. I realized too late; otherwise, I would have moved. It was empty, with no atmosphere, right in the heart of the red-light district on a Friday afternoon. We ordered two Aperol Spritzes, and they immediately brought us the card reader—24 euros, no less! And the Aperol was only half full. Don't stop here. I wouldn't give it fewer stars if there weren't enough.

Bartender is the sweetest person, smashing place

Nice place but the drinks are watered down, there is no information on the menu that they are poured from ready-made containers and not prepared according to the recipe.

I'm sorry but nothing good comes out from this experience. Because I was sick I asked for a cup of tea . No chance on getting it cuz "You don't come at this hour to drink tea , get some alcohol" ,so I got a big jug of Absolutely Nothing and watched my friends drink until we left. My friend ordered some food and got " we don't have anything to eat" while the table next to us received nachos. Absolutely outrageous . Got charged extra because we wanted to split the bill . Everybody deserves a chance to earn money but boooy.. fire the waitress please. I'm not a sensitive person but her unsalted jokes don't bring more customers.

Beer was 8 euros. That is common in Amsterdam, only here the glasses were half full. It is a tourist trap.

Fantastic find. We had a great time in here playing pool and drinking beers. The host was very welcoming and friendly on our first night so we visited again on the second night. She can't do enough to make you feel welcome, charged my phone for me behind the bar, ayed music on the jukebox for us and provided blankets when it was cold outside. Highly recommend 👌

After 30 minutes, I found the only cafe that appealed to me. Local, friendly, engaging, and incredibly welcoming. Highly recommended if you want to escape the crowds and cold and experience a peaceful, warm feeling. Worth it!

This was such a wholesome bar with such a lovely atmosphere. We had the pleasure of being served by the lovely Dalie who accommodated our pooch, Reggie. This was without a doubt one of the best bars we have visited in Amsterdam and big love to all the staff 🖤🖤🖤

Outrageous prices. I paid €14.50 for a pre-mixed cocktail poured from a bottle. It didn't taste good at all. All the drinks were incredibly expensive, a tourist rip-off. The restrooms were so-so. I can't say much about the service, as she was just working her second day.

Today I spent a day in the Netherlands from Belgium as a tourist. Everything was going well and pleasantly, until we ended up here. My phone battery was at less than 5% because I'd taken a lot of photos and videos. I politely asked a waitress if she could help me charge it. She was incredibly friendly and immediately offered to help. When we went inside together to look for an outlet, a man with white hair and a white T-shirt (I suspect the owner) appeared. He immediately reacted unfriendly and unhelpful. He told me to charge my phone at a charging station for €1. However, that device didn't work. The waitress did her best to find a solution and eventually found an outlet. The white-haired man was clearly not happy about that. He said rudely, "We don't normally do that here, do we?" I explained that I'm not from here and that I wouldn't even be able to find my car without my phone. After some discussion between him and the waitress, I was finally allowed to charge my phone. We ordered 6 drinks (3 soft drinks and 3 alcoholic drinks) and paid €47.50 for each—quite expensive. It later turned out he'd also charged €0.50 for a 15-minute charge. I thought that was very stingy. When the drinks arrived, we had to pay immediately. The waitress deserves all the credit; I would have liked to tip her, but I didn't dare because of her boss's behavior. After that, we went to another place where we paid only €25.50 for 6 drinks (3 alcoholic, 2 soft, and 1 mocktail). What a difference. To all tourists: I advise you not to go here. I rarely write bad reviews, but respect is very important to me—and that was completely lacking here. There are many other places that are better than this.

I am a similar business owner to this place and I have never wrote a bad review about a place but this isn’t just a bad review it’s a genuine review. Came in as we were tourists here from the UK and it was one of those “this is nearby let’s just go here” which I really regret now. We ordered a pizza, I asked the Asian (Indian lady with glasses) waitress about a specific ingredient on the pizza and she said “let me check the box” I should of just got up and left these people are selling €1.25 pizza in boxes for €20 odd, make that make sense. As I was eating this HMP pizza due to my Munchies, that same waitress came asking to pay the bill and literally put the card machine close to my nose and cheekbone like I am in the middle of eating this pizza and I just got my card out my wallet and managed to get the sauces on my wallet due to this. I just got on with it. As per normal I always wash my hands with hand wash/soap when I finish eating and went to the toilet to do so and their was no hand wash. Firstly this is a breach of hygiene as any business that has a lavatory must have hand wash so I went back to the bar area and asked the same waitress for hand wash she looked at me like she saw a ghost and just blanked me and walked off, I think hygiene might of offended her as she already had a ton of grease on and around her face not forgetting the greasy hair she has so then I turned to the bar man (turned out to be the owner) white hair, white t-shirt behind the bar, clothing that looked like it’s from a red cross clothes bank and said very politely “hey, excuse me their is no handwash in the toilet can you please give me one so I can take it in or just put it there” he looked at me in disgust and said “we don’t have any” I said sorry but how is that possible this is basic hygiene. I then continued to ask for something to wash my hands with in a polite manner but this old, crusty, unprofessional business owner just kept giving me attitude and avoided giving me this.I was very shocked and then I just pointed to the washing up liquid which was next to a small limescale fuelled sink behind the bar and he went to grab the bottle and I leaned over to grab the bottle but this inbesol of an owner literally squirted the washing up liquid in my hand and put it back next to the sink it was like I was begging for some coins and he just squirted the liquid in my hands then I felt disrespected and as my facial expression changed he said “oh so you didn’t give any tip” so then I said to him so this is why you’re acting like this?! Let me tell you something (and told him about the payment whilst I was eating situation as above” he just smerked. I also added when I finish my food then based on the service I pay tip but his and his teams service was utterly poor. I just then left but if you are reading this I can make your business grow 3x in revenue in the next 2 years do reach out to me but firstly go shop for a new wardrobe and teach your staff manners. Avoid at all costs

Beware of rip-offs! Completely overpriced, unfriendly, and unprofessional service. The drinks barely arrive at the table when the bill arrives and you have to pay. Cider 0.3l > €8.00 Beer 0.5l > € There's a €0.50 surcharge when paying by credit card. It's a disgrace.

The egghead told us to pay by card because he charged us fees. The waiter was nice, but quite expensive. I think it's a disgrace.

Expensive, an Amstel Radler and a draft beer €21, just as they bring you the drink you get the dataphone in desperation, it seems very inelegant to me, I'm not a criminal nor would I leave without paying. The good thing, they offer payment facilities, I was able to leave my kidney as a payment method.

It’s frozen pizza and crap like that, way over heated in a microwave. I literally burned my lips on the cheese sticks. 4 drinks, 1 microwave pizza, 2 paninis, a hot dog that we never got, 120 euro. We packed up and left, the burn on my lip may end up being a funny story later, but we regret waisting one of our meals here with so many other great options. The service, however was awesome.

Really cute bar! That’s about all the good I can say though. Our poor server, bless her, did well at being the only one working doing food and drinks and serving. Drinks were very expensive and the food was obviously frozen and just heated up.

6 drinks coming to a cost of €85, one coke one beer 2wines and 2coke and vodka. This was a crazy amount, when going to pay on card both my cards were declined so we had to pay cash. (Both cards worked fine anywhere else. If drinking here check prices before you order, they put the Dam in Amsterdam!

I'm so embarrassed that I brought my family here and it's the most disappointing pizza (like a cheap frozen one). Sangria has nothing to do with the original one. Red bull was good though. P.s. went back second time on football game because there were no other places available on July 10th, 2024. We figured we would order some snacks because how can you screw that up, but yet they did... their chips were stale and ran out half way through the game. The bitter ballen were the worst that we ever had. On to the drinks, martini was from a premade mix, was not at all the original taste, but it was still 14-15 euros just like a real homemade cocktail. We only went because it was the only place with a table to watch the game.

My favourite spot in Amsterdam, visit everytime

We just stopped for drinks. What surprised me was the fact that the waiter came with the bill and we had to pay as soon as drinks arrived. I guess if we ordered seconds we have to pay every time. Not that is bothering me, is just strange. The terrace was cute, with view towards the church.

Rude service and automatically adds service charge - poor show

Despite the seemingly ideal location, you shouldn’t stop to drink here. The bartender who served us was extremely rude. His manner was that of distain towards his customers who ordered soft drinks, despite the order coming to €24. He also added a 10% tip to the charge without informing us. Furthermore, the bartender couldn’t have been less accommodating, replying in a short and aggressive tone when denying a request to make a Cafe Latte (an item on the drinks menu) despite the bar being close to empty. The toilets inside were disgusting, with no locks on the male toilet doors. To make matters so much worse, not even a single David Bowie song was played!

Way overpriced. Charges 1€ for tap water. Sneakily adds tip to the bill. Better options in the area.

I wish I could leave 0 star for this establishment but unfortunately Google won't let me. This is the worse place to go in Amsterdam, staff is absolutely awfully unpleasant and make you feel most unwelcomed. I guess the one star will go for the fact they have a billard available maybe 🤷🏼‍♂️ Avoid at all cost!

Got an espresso martini which tasted like water. The staff refused to taste it, and would not make a new one, the reason was that this was how their boss had teached them how to do it 😂

The waiter, pleasant, what is said pleasant, is not. I went to the bathroom and there was no lock. I had to pee holding the door. When I left I put soap on my hands but the tap didn't provide water. I had to rinse off in the men's bathroom.

They said us to “go” out of the pub because we are not giving anymore orders after we had 5 beers, 2 aperols and 1 pizza while they are having free tables, no lines and we had our last drink like 30 min ago. Just terrible terrible service, won’t come there again and don’t recommend.

We drank lots of beers and had Aperol, pizza etc for 3-4 hours. We stopped at some time and we were not drinking for the last 20 minutes. They requested us to leave because we did not want anything to drink in the empty pub… I will not be going even around anymore.

Don’t go to this bar. Even though it looks cozy, they rip off tourists want to use toilet . Well I’m not even tourist but yeah, this is the conversation o had with the barman - B: how can I help you - we’re going to the toilet - is for customer only - I can pay for you - no it doesn’t work - can I get a bottle of water ? - 4.00 - ok can I use the toilet ? - now yes And the charge was 4.50 ….

We paid 34 euros for 2 cocktails instead of 24 euros. The prices were already exorbitant but for asking for 2 glasses of water, we paid 10 euros more??? Clearly theft.

While we sat with my daughter and my son ordered a big beer an old guy wearing glasses asked me and my daughter if we wanted to drink or eat and we said thanks. He responded very rudely as you are sitting in my terrace then you need to eat or drink and I said my son is already drinking and we don’t want to do so. And he left with rude manners. Hr also replied my son’s request at the toilet for soap as this is an Amsterdam bar and did not give any soap. The four days we spent in this amazing and nice city with very nice people and this is the first place we had to embrace this level of rudeness. These type of places are shame for the cities and we as customers should be aware and make the difference between the good and bad.

Warning about the place! Pints ​​and drinking glasses were all rinsed in the same washing water, after which the soap was used again. Didn't drink Heineken.

The worst place I've ever been, the worst bar and the worst bartender. The behavior of the waiters towards customers is really unnerving. The looks and sarcastic comments that constantly bother us, such people should not be in the market. The toilets don't even have doors, everyone including the bartender is drunk and aggressive. What problem do you have? Everyone is in a good mood in the Netherlands, learn from other people!!

We ordered 2 pints of the famous HK 15 euros on the menu, we were charged 17 euros, when we asked for an explanation "because we work for that", and well what would it be like if you didn't work champion!

The price is way too high. Not even a glass with the soft drinks for this price, forced to drink from the bottle. To go to the toilet it's worthy of Fort Boyard.

For alcoholics If I could I would put a 0 Destined to disappear. You try to order coffee and they tell you no, you try to go to the bathroom and they tell you that if you don't order you can't go, when they just denied you service, they only want to sell alcohol.

The waiter was nice, but the bartender charged us all 3 euros extra per person, because we wanted to split the bill. That’s just not ok.

There are warm drinks on menu but bar guys said no warm drinks. Ordered a cider with €6 and waited rain to stop. My friend ordered a 2% alcohol beer with €8. Our hair were wet, asked tissue but only got one piece of tissue.
