Zilt Bergen aan Zee /Indische Duinen in Wijk 02 Bergen aan Zee

On Saturday November 16th after a lovely walk in the Bergen dunes and forest we stopped for a light lunch at Zilt. What a lovely place and friendly service. We tried the delicious homemade onion soup and walnoten taart. Excellent experience. Outside it was cold and rainy and inside we were warm and very much enjoyed our lunch.

ZILT STOPS Will you come and eat with us one last time? This is possible until Saturday November 30, 2024 Let's make this last week special. Come by for a final toast to ZILT! 🥂🌊 Thu-Fri 12:00 - 22:00 Sat - Sun 10am - 10pm

We know the Zilt very well from our holidays in March 2023 and September 2024. We had booked a table there for New Year's Eve 2024/25 for our next holiday. This reservation was canceled. Upon my inquiry, I received a personal call from a restaurant employee who informed me that the Zilt will be closing permanently on November 30, 2024. This is very, very sad. We always enjoyed our holidays there, the food was excellent, and the service was friendly. I wish all the staff there all the very best for the future. Thank you for the wonderful food and service!

Second time is a CHARM … I think we went here for the first time maybe 4-5 years ago but we walked out. We were never served after 15 minutes! Now we had a different experience! Service was great and the food too. We had brunch, Katsu Sando and Sandwich Steak House Melt, Citroen Meringue and Chocolate Cake. We had a great time with delicious food What a Sunday this had been …

Super vriendelijke bediening. 😊 Super goede vriendelijke kok.

We only had a chocolate and a cappuccino, but the waitress had a wonderful story with a smile.

Delicious burger, nice and spicy. Super tender spare ribs. Friendly staff.

Super aardig personeel! Heeeerlijk gegeten, top sfeertje. Uitgebreide keuze en super lekkere toetjes! Hond vriendelijk!

Delicious food, attentive service, and a pleasant atmosphere. The sea bass to share is highly recommended.

Super friendly service and delicious food.

Friendly service, great food, cozy atmosphere

Only had coffee. Nice service and plenty of space, but not massive.

We took a break here after the stand and reserved a table for the evening. Very good decision, very friendly and attentive service and really delicious food, we'll go again on Friday, we're looking forward to it...

Very nice place, good food and especially nice atmosphere and top service! Thanks for the pleasant evening.

After being seated, it was not announced to the operating staff that guests were sitting in the lower area. Afterwards the guests were looked after very well. Food was very good

We ate there with the family last night. Excellent food, excellent service. Nice feel-good atmosphere.

After a beautiful 11km walk through the North Holland Dune Reserve, we had a lovely lunch outside at the dog-friendly restaurant Zilt. The service was top notch and the food was good, with a wide range of gluten-free food. Tip: Order an affogato for dessert!

The food is really good, the atmosphere is very nice, and the great team is particularly outstanding! I have rarely experienced such friendly and attentive service! We just felt welcome and comfortable. That's why we went there again a few times and on our next visit to Bergen aan Zee, we will definitely stop there again! By the way, reserving online also works perfectly.

What a nice tent, we had a delicious meal and a big compliment for the super hospitable service! A big 10

Very friendly and committed alert staff. Highly recommended.

Nice employees, good service. Up for a joke. Food well taken care of.

We were there once last week and were so impressed that we wanted to eat there again. Unfortunately today was very disappointing. Because of our Labrador, we were put in the back corner, which was very unclean on the floor, even though there were many places available. In addition, the next table was much too close, so when they got mussels, we didn't get any fly repellent - a shame.

A super nice restaurant right near the beach. The food is consistently very tasty. Everything fits there. The service is incredibly friendly and attentive. Easy 🔝and 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 are more than deserved.

Very friendly staff, delicious food, great ambience with a lake view

Staff was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. We had a delicious lunch. Chef came out to discuss some dietary restrictions and suggested a dish which turned out great.

Had a delicious lunch here. Good burger, and with the option to choose mini desserts you can make it as crazy as you want. Friendly service, if I'm ever in the area again I will definitely come back.

Excellent evening spent at Zilt, with 6 young children. Joris was fantastic with us all! Thanks again.

Thank you so much Joris and colleagues for making our evening so perfect! Joris made an extra effort to make our group of 14 people including 6 children feel so at ease and put a smile on their faces! We really appreciate it! The food was also tasty. Thanks again and we hope to come back!

Had a really delicious meal today. Around At 6:00 p.m. we spontaneously got a table for two. The crispy chicken burger was very tasty and everything was very fresh. The chicken shashlik (today's special) was also very good. Super tender meat. Prices are not cheap but ok. We would definitely come again, but would also like to get to know other restaurants.

Hartelijk ontvangen, vriendelijke bediening.

Really great food! Sweet waitress (Lianne) highly recommended!

Our favorite restaurant here in Bergen aan Zee. We always go there at least once when we are here. The service is super friendly and accommodating. They are also happy to give advice and explain in great detail what the daily specials look like. The ambience is great. It's very nice and cozy inside. Many plants decorate the restaurant. Each table has its own small lamp that can be made brighter or darker as desired. The food is really very good. The menu is manageable, but you can tell that the dishes they offer are really well thought out and skillfully prepared by the kitchen. I can particularly recommend the burgers and ribs, but the fish and mussels are also definitely worth ordering. This time I had the tacos. I ordered it with sweet potato fries, and it also came with a grilled corn on the cob. Even though they were really good, I'll probably switch back to the burgers next time. Even if the food doesn't immediately fit or are right, the waiters take the food back immediately and then bring a new one. For us, Zilt is really the most beautiful and best restaurant here, which is really not easy here.

Very nice staff and something for everyone on the menu, just steps from the beach! Holiday atmosphere! Laid back

In two weeks we tried all the cafes on the beach and Zilt is by far the best. Delicious dishes on the menu, well-thought-out daily specials, nice ambience inside and outside and best of all the service is super nice and always with a smile and a joke. You can say the café has a soul.

During our short holiday in Bergen aan Zee we ended up at Zilt on the 1st evening. The food was fantastic and the staff very welcoming and helpful. The manager also did everything he could to make everyone happy. We also returned to Zilt on the 2nd and last evening!!

We were there this evening for the Germany game and dinner, it was great, the people who work there are in a great mood and the food Tastes great too, if Germany had won the evening would have been perfect but that was out of their hands😅I can only recommend it, it deserves more than 5 stars, you feel so welcome there

We had dinner there today and felt completely comfortable. Great service from start to finish, totally friendly and very helpful. When it comes to food, we focus on quality and freshness and everything is prepared with great attention to detail. We'd love to come back!

Simply delicious food and a wonderful location, perfect for a lovely evening with the family. There was even a wonderful souvenir as a farewell gift. Thank you

Had a very nice evening tonight. Had a delicious meal with the five of us. The atmosphere is really great! A big compliment to the staff.

We were there for the first time yesterday and it was fantastic. I had the best burger, it was top class 🤗! The service is top notch, very very friendly and attentive! I can recommend this restaurant to everyone 👌👌👌

Always a pleasant place to have something to eat. Friendly staff and very good food.

During our visit to Bergen aan Zee we visited Zilt. The stay was very pleasant. The atmosphere is very inviting and comfortably furnished. The service was very attentive, nice and very child-friendly. We were very enthusiastic about the food. The dishes were freshly prepared and cleverly presented. Price/performance is definitely right at Zilt. Conclusion: We give full marks in all areas. Thank you very quickly.

Not only great food and good prices, but above all an incredibly hospitable atmosphere and committed staff. I recently celebrated an anniversary where they wanted to surprise me and the Zilt team succeeded very well. Highly recommended, and we will come more often when we are in the area.

Extremely friendly service, great tasty dishes, simply top. Even our dog got some.

Super nice and sweet employees!

The food was fantastic, creative, tasted exceptionally good...service very good...the ambience tasteful and very cozy...all in all excellent and we will definitely come back not just once but several times...Ulli & Andrea & Beagle Paul from Fulda/Germany 😁😁🐶

Außergewöhnliche moderne Tellersprache und tolle frische Produkte. Wir waren begeistert. Kompliment an die Küche.

A very friendly welcome from the staff. Incredibly delicious food! Our dog also got a little something. :) We will be back!

One of the few restaurants where the service is really good (evening of 26/05/24) Fast, professional, alert, and enthusiastic and also delicious food :) Thank you!

We ate here twice during our mini holiday in Bergen aan Zee, because the first time was so good! Delicious meal with delicious drinks and incredibly nice service!

Everything is just incredibly good

Delicious food, but the service is very unfriendly when taking in the food.

For Mother's Day we ordered the High Tea Brunch with friends. With 4 adults and 3 kids. When we arrived, the table was neatly set in the attractive conservatory. However, because the weather was of course beautiful, I hesitantly asked if we could possibly have brunch outside. No problem! Tableware was immediately reassembled outside, without any discord. 👍🏼 All the staff were equally friendly. The food itself was very tasty, tasted fresh and was lavish compared to the price. Even the kids, who are more difficult eaters, enjoyed it. Afterwards, both mothers received a bottle of chardonnay and chocolate. This first introduction leaves us wanting more and we would love to come back for the "normal" menu. Highly recommended this Zilt in Bergen aan zee. *Photo of one of the mothers who had a great day.

Nice place, price/quality is good. Staff is very friendly, compliments! If you have an allergy, keep a close eye on it, serve potato gratin if you have a cow's milk allergy... not very convenient, but it went well and was resolved well by the employees. Great job, definitely worth repeating!

I had a fantastic experience at Zilt!. I enjoyed a delicious lunch on their terrace, where I sat out of the wind and in the sun. Their Katsu Sando was absolutely amazing and really exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed my visit, and I can't wait to go back. Highly recommended!

Very tasty food and very satisfied with the service.

Perfect, I was not there long, but my wife was she could not stop talking about it.

Super friendly staff. Food and ambience excellent! We will be back.

Delicious club sandwich. Nice place to stay, even when it rains. Friendly staff.

Just beautiful. Good service. Delicious food. Thank you. We were very satisfied.

A very nice evening with delicious food and very good service

We had dinner here on March 7. We opted for the Indian rice table Bali. You get several bowls of Indian food supplemented with nasi and rice. The food was all very tasty and the service very friendly. We really enjoyed it. It is highly recommended!

Excellent coffee, well served with a glass of water and a piece of spekkoek. Five stars if it had a sea view

Nice restaurant great appearance. Sweet, nice service. Really delicious food

I am a great fan of Indonesian cuisine and have visited quite a few restaurants throughout the country. Tonight it was Zilt Bergen aan de Zee's turn, according to the menu we enjoyed an Indonesian rice table. The food had a disappointingly flat taste and was tailored to the Dutch taste experience. The dishes lacked spice and the usual herbs and spices that give the dishes character, so the taste experience unfortunately left much to be desired.

Good food and good service. Highly recommended (especially if you are traveling with nice and nice company 😊)

Nice meal. Waitress was “a bit forgetful”.

The very friendly and attentive waiters are really positive. The rest is pretty disappointing. The food itself tastes OK, but the portions are very manageable. Lots of sauce, hardly any addition. A pity. What is extremely misleading is the fact that the prices on the menu in the restaurant do not correspond to the prices on the homepage or the menu displayed at the entrance to the restaurant (e.g. small rice table: 3 euros more expensive). This is not acceptable! Addendum/reply to your message: Thank you for your offer to refund me the incorrectly charged 6 euros. Feel free to pass the money on to your waiters as an additional tip. They do a really good job.

Definitely Conimex A number of dishes are not even Indonesian 🤣🤣

Always delicious food at Zilt. We now went for the Indonesian rice table. Very tasty!

We had a really fantastic meal here. We had the baobun shrimp, large Indian rice table and surprise dessert. This was from the winter menu, the waitress said. We really had so much fun! The staff ws very friendly. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely eat here again.

What a great place this is. We made a reservation the same day and we were really welcomed upon arrival. We ate an Indonesian small rice table, and it was fantastic, 10/10. The waitress saw from my friend's sambal that he liked it spicier, so she brought it to us. Very attentive, attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

We had a delicious meal and there was a very good atmosphere! An experience to taste Indian cuisine by the sea.

2024 -- One year later, some rebranding for Indonesian kitchen, but still very nice and good service. Afternoon time still cake and coffee. And no stressed personnel at all - very pleasant service. 2023 -- Nice location, good food and service. One afternoon our waitress was really stressed and did let us know - however, can happen.

A good place to have something to eat if you can't go to the beach.

Erg lekker eten. Indonesische keuken bij Zilt aan Zee. Duurt tot en met maart. Sfeervol. Vriendelijk personeel.

Hier gaan we vaker komen.

Heerlijk

Tolles hilfsbereites Personal

Heerlijk eten op een geweldige plek.

Wetter war nicht so gut, leider. Essen ist nicht günstig !!!

Ausgesprochen nettes Personal, dreisprachig.
