What a lovely spot for lunch with a friend. The fried steak sandwich with truffle mayonnaise was delicious, and the staff was so sweet! Even to the two little dogs we brought along. Great place. Highly recommended!

Carefree? Unfortunately not. Only a beer and wine menu – no other drink options, which is strange enough. The cheese sandwich was tasteless, and the grilled chicken sandwich was downright disappointing: not dry, grilled chicken, but chicken swimming in ketchup and chili sauce, in a soggy bun. All in all, a lackluster experience that absolutely doesn't live up to the name Carefree. Tasteless is a better word!

The other reviews are correct, what a filthy place and the staff careless :) Definitely disinterested, what a disgrace. Later, I saw a sign outside saying, "Please be kind to the staff" because of the lack of service. They're incredibly slow, it wasn't that busy, so it was nice to hang out together. Regarding the toilet and the scavenger hunt, there wasn't a signpost, only one toilet, one dirty towel, intended for men and women changing babies, and a disabled toilet all rolled into one. This restaurant should be closed! So, by the way, go for it! Luckily, we only had coffee and pastries, which were good, but it took a long time for someone to come, even though she was looking us in the face and chatting happily with colleagues. I was just about to leave! 1 star because otherwise I can't post. Absolutely not worth a star.

When we entered, we weren't greeted or even looked at. After waiting half an hour for someone to take our order, we left. Two doors down at BLVD, we had a delicious meal and the service was super friendly.

I ordered the Beef Carpaccio | pesto | arugula | parmesan | truffle mayonnaise sandwich and it was good! Thinly sliced beef and truffle mayonnaise = YUM! Fries were fresh and crispy! This place is conveniently next to a mall. And if you happen to be in this location on a Friday, there’s a Friday market with lots of vendors to buy great food or nik naks from!

Delicious food, highly recommended! It was a stopover during our motorcycle tour through South/North Holland! We'll definitely be back in the future.

Disgusting sandwiches. Sour tuna salad, soggy carpaccio with the "blood" soaking into the bread, incredibly old and dry bread. Service unfriendly and inattentive. Always had a great meal here, but it's definitely not what it used to be.

Went for lunch again. What a disappointment. The tables weren't wiped (filthy), luckily we had brought our own cloth. After about 10 minutes, we were asked what we wanted to drink. This also arrived after another 10 minutes. We waited 20 minutes to order our sandwich. It arrived quickly, as if it was already ready. It certainly seemed that way; the bread was dry and the filling had "leaked through." On the sandwich, the inside was very spongy. However, we didn't have any cutlery (yet). When it was brought, a napkin fell to the floor in the wind. The waitress's reaction: "Damn, do I have to go back for that too?" She was looking forward to it... All in all, we gave it another try, but you certainly don't come here for value for money. And we certainly weren't carefree!

They need to adjust their opening hours because they close at 8 PM, even though the website says midnight. I've experienced this twice now.

Good food for a place somewhere between a neighborhood restaurant and a fine dining restaurant. We went there twice this week and found the price-performance ratio good and the service welcoming. One employee was a bit more exuberant than the other, but both were genuine and attentive. In the spacious garden, our child could play on the trampoline and relax in the hammock.

Grimy chairs, extremely dirty floor. Especially the large mat by the door. The menu asks for allergens from the waiter. No gluten-free bread. Outdated! When I mentioned this, the woman in question said, "Do you still want to order, or are you going somewhere else?" So I ordered a salad, with the lettuce completely wet at the bottom of the plate and a tuft of shriveled arugula on top. Not exactly carefree...

Food was sufficient, service was extremely unsuitable. We were a group of 7, didn't see each other for a while so we were chatting while the menu was in front of us. Service came to us and asked if we had made a choice. When we answered that we hadn't looked yet because we were still chatting, the sneer "do you want to do that now?" was thrown at the table. When ordering the entrecote, the choice was "medium or welcome, the rest is too complicated for the kitchen with everything in between" according to the waitress. Starter came to the table, first drinks were finished and with the main course the question "does anyone else want something to drink?" so we ordered. Nothing was written down, fine if you can remember it, but after repeating three times and coming back to ask again, there were still too few drinks on the table. After the main course was finished, the question came "does anyone else want coffee?" and dessert was not even asked. Everyone was fine for now, but half an hour before closing time we were asked to pay, so they could close the cash register. It's a good thing there are no negative stars to give the service, otherwise they would have earned it. Disgrace. Perhaps it's an idea to address this lady with a certain Y about her performance, because if she doesn't feel like it, she'd better stay home. People go out to eat to get away, not to be rushed.

Ordered drinks and some bites and we were shocked when the food arrived. The bloomkoel (crispy cauliflower) was ridiculous. For 12,50 eur, it is a joke. Literally 5 small florets and even that was burnt. The sweet potato fries were burnt and on top of that, they charged 75c extra for ketchup. This place is OK for drinks but food is a DEFINITE NO. Not surprised now that this restaurant had place available while all the others on Stadsplein were full.

Atmospheric place on the outskirts of the Stadshart. A nice and unbound atmosphere, sometimes very busy. There are also only a few nice catering establishments here, hence.

Had a delicious meal at Zorgeloos last night. A drink on the terrace and when the food was ready, there was a table inside for us. The hake fillet was delicious and the black angus burger was also very tasty. The service was friendly and attentive. In short, definitely a place to come back to.

Cozy, good food and drinks, good service

I have tried a bad coffee before, but nothing awful like here. Salmon salad was ok. Pancake are awful: 3 small pancakes were you teste honey only. Probably the cook does not know the limit and how to cook and the only option is to put as much sauce and honey as possible to hide awful taste of his/her creature.

Today I thought I would drink an Aperol Spritz on the terrace. Unfortunately this Aperol was without "spritz" I passed it on and the waitress came back and said "we have refilled your glass with Prosecco" Well, either it was old Prosecco or the Prosecco was a bottle of Spa blue. She was friendly, but the drink was still not good. Unfortunately no apologies either. Then I paid... €9.50 for Aperol with water. Too bad about this!

Looks cozy inside and a great terrace in the sun. The only real shame is that there is still no vegan milk substitute for coffee, so I wouldn't choose to have a drink myself.

Very bad service. Today after seeing the musical, stop by for a beer without any worries. They arrive with 4 glasses of Duke Jan Weizen, 2 of which contain more foam than beer. The girl at the service didn't do anything about it and referred us to the bar. There I was not treated kindly, to say the least, when I asked if he wanted to join the tap. This gentleman,,, won't mention his name,, snapped at me that I had to be patient because the beer still had to clear 🤔🤔 after waiting for some time he didn't do anything with it. So I grabbed the bar stool to wait and was told again that I shouldn't whine so much, that I should think about my heart and just find my place again. Such a special beer costs enough, you can expect them to tap neatly. It was very quiet there so that's no reason it was too busy. Also not friendly when paying. No, that was anything but having a beer without a care in the world. They never see the four of us again. Very poor service and no service at all if you ask for a normal draft beer

Tried to have lunch today. This was not very "carefree". We fully understand that the staff is busy, understaffed, etc. So we waited quietly until an employee wanted to help us. But when after 25 minutes (and this is not an exaggeration) we were finally helped, we said something about this in a polite manner. But unfortunately that was not allowed... The lady felt attacked and was quite customer unfriendly. It should be possible to sit unseen on the terrace for 25 minutes without anyone looking at you and then indicate this in a normal and polite manner. There is no boo or bah and I am even asked "sir what do you want me to say?" In other words you are wasting my time. Sorry would have been enough, but that was ABSOLUTELY not said. Small effort after all! Shame! Indicated that we do not feel welcome and that we are leaving. That was great, great! Left the terrace and helped somewhere else where they deal with the customer in a polite and communicative manner! Tip! If it is busy here, don't sit on the terrace! Unless you want to fill the terrace and have a free seat.

I had the worst experience here! The customer service was absolutely awful. Our table was filthy—there was dirty water under it that got all over our jeans as soon as we sat down. When we pointed it out to the waitress, she didn’t even care! She just shrugged and walked away. I’m disgusted by the lack of cleanliness and zero effort from the staff to make things right. Definitely not coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Total waste of time and money.

For a business lunch I was reminded of carefree food & drinks. I'm not familiar with Amstelveen at all, but I was positively surprised. Very nice place to have lunch. But also fun for some shopping.

Had lunch with my daughters after shopping. Lady 1: vegetarian grilled cheese, lady 2: fries and I myself had a carpaccio sandwich. Everything was very tasty. Sanitary facilities also used, were fresh and clean. Restaurant is a 4-minute walk from bus station/parking garages.

Mooie zaak! Sfeervol en rustige muziek. Ik vind het wel aan de dure kant en zeker wat je ervoor krijgt. Als dat meer in verhouding zou zijn, dan kwam ik zeker terug. We hadden gewoon nog honger na de lunch :-(

What a nice tent! Service is very friendly despite being busy and short on staff. The atmosphere is relaxed. Beautiful atmospheric interior with lots of greenery and beautiful lamps, highly recommended if you are in the area.

Really, with this many options around on the square, I would NOT choose for this place. The customer comes LAST here. The first thing that greets you on the wall is a blackboard that literally says “Be nice to our personnel people are difficult to find”. OK, I can understand that. But then they brought me a goat cheese salad which really tasted horrible. I asked the waiter, very politely “Sorry I really do not like the salad”. She basically told me it was my problem. No understanding, no attempt to solve it. I did not eat the salad - and of course, it still appeared on our bill. And as a cherry on the top, there was a dog on the terrace that peed under the table next to us, and nobody did anything about it! Should I also mention that when the personnel patted the fig, they did not wash their hands before continuing to serve the customers? Very disappointing place.

Last Sunday we went to Zorgeloos Eten en Drinken for our lunch. What struck us was that the people were very hospitable and that the service was top notch! The service staff were nice and they looked after us, even though it was busy. We ate fried steak salad, the soup of the day, a chicken hot dog (which was well filled) and a portion of fries. It was all very tasty and we left feeling satisfied. We will definitely come back here!

We were there for the first time and despite the crowds that day (April 12) and also market day, we had a delicious meal! Great service! That really deserves a big 10! So we are very satisfied. Definitely worth repeating. Thank you very much for this!

The toasted sandwich that me and my girlfriend ordered there was nothing special. It was like a sandwich that I make at home. We expected a slightly more extensive sandwich, but for €4.75 you might not have expected more.

We had a theater evening across the street and had a great meal here tonight, including the spareribs that are recommended, at least they are served complete, not a bare plate, just with garnish! Staff very friendly and hospitable, I can recommend it.

Do they even want customers in here? “You can find a place where there is no reserved sign” and then such a sign will be placed everywhere. Thinking about a place was not an option, so we ate elsewhere. How bad this is.

The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The food was ok and the servings were quite big. Unfortunately, the hamburger I got was overdone and tough. The fries were good. You can find the restaurant right on the square in the heart of Amstelveen. There are options for street parking or a parking garage nearby. Street parking is priced at €16 for a 4-hour period.

Food was tasty, but price/quality ratio not good. A bowl of fries with mixed paramesan cheese on top on the table 6.50!? Act normal... And the fact that you can't have a glass of tap water with your wine or coffee is so discouraging to come a second time or reorder a cup of coffee. That is service, very normal in hospitable catering establishments these days. So it wasn't long before we sat down for a meal with cappuccino and cake. Bijenkorf it is for coffee and pastries. Shame! I also didn't think the service was very good, a bit of a hasty impression. Stiff. Ambience beautiful at first glance, but don't look at the lampshades 🤢 not worth repeating unfortunately.

A few weeks ago it was fine (nice glass of wine and nice & quick service) so today after the movie we went to Zorgeloos again. We were not looked at, we had to make an effort to order something even though it was not really busy. The red wine was thrown on the table so we had to clean the table ourselves and the waitress hardly took time for us. When my friend had ordered, she quickly ran away before I could order anything :-( and later she forgot to serve my 2nd glass of wine. Only when I wanted to leave did she quickly bring it up. Not worth repeating. ! Too bad, because in terms of interior and location it is a very nice restaurant

17/02/2024 ate here. Very friendly staff who served the table quickly. Drinks were ordered quickly and the menu arrived shortly afterwards. After ordering dinner, we waited 15 minutes and then the food was already there. Food was tasty, but not super special (it is a cafe). Good experience.

Well, that wasn't good. A glass of milk the size of a glass of wine for three euros, bringing the wrong drink up to three times and having to argue about it, a very mediocre and pricey lunch and then a kind of begging for (as far as I am concerned, an undeserved) tip at the end.

Lunch for two. Steak tips with bread for 13.50, excellent. But Flamkuchen goat cheese, nut blend and honey. Three times worthless! A small piece of rock hard dough, the nut blend was a small handful of pumpkin and sunflower seeds. And that for an amount of 14.50. Not in proportion to my table companion's steak tips. A flamkuchen has a crispy thin base (and is not a cracker) and is covered with creme fraiche. A nut blend is different from some kernels. Reply to my comment, that's how we serve it here. Worthless!

Visited this restaurant on January 24, prior to a visit to the theater opposite. The service was cool. Don't wish for a tasty meal or ask if everything was to your liking. You didn't get anything extra with the entrecote. No fries, salad, vegetables or the like yet. it was a bald, sad intention. The price/quality ratio was very poor. To make matters worse, the computer turned out not to be working and the bill had to be put on paper. That also caused some problems: where were you sitting at the table again, sir? And have you had this? Is that right? Calculate....phew.....well in the end everything was correct. But we quickly left for the theater. Fortunately, that paid for a lot. Too bad....a high bill for......!

I accidentally find this place on my way to the theater close by, and oh my god I had the best hamburger in my life! I can't believe it was real! 😆 Also I love the atmosphere and tye interior designing of the place, and the staff were friendly and polite.

Beautiful location with incredibly friendly staff and absolutely delicious food. The spareribs are extremely soft and tender, you don't have to get your hands dirty, they fall right off the bone.

Nice eatery in the city center of Amstelveen with an extensive lunch menu

For the first time in Amstelveen we walked in for lunch. Employee did not look up or around. Restaurant is nicely decorated, plenty of space around the tables. Beautiful lighting. The lamps are only very dusty at the top. Doesn't look so fresh. Employee remained stiff, order was taken. Meanwhile, more staff came in. We received our order quickly by the new cheerful staff. Carpaccio sandwiches were fine, toasted sandwich and zucchini brioche minimalist. Grilled cheese was exactly what it was... a grilled cheese on an empty plate. Possible for that price (€4.25). My daughter loved it. My brioche was not what I imagine a brioche to be, namely a white bun from the supermarket. Then I think €10.50 is very strong. Taste was fine, but not special. The drinks (cappuccino, coke zero, ice tea green and bottle of water) were all the same price, namely €3.50. My feeling is that this is on the high side, but perhaps these are the prices of 2024.

A cozy tent where they serve delicious food and drinks and take our dietary requirements into account. The dog is also welcome; she even got a bowl of water without us having to ask.

Now for the 2nd time, the food is delicious, the place is cozy. But there is a lady working there, probably the manager, she could really smile a little more when she serves the people. Because of this we will no longer be coming a 3rd time.

The restaurant looks attractive and beautiful, but the "welcome quality and friendliness" is worrying.

De service is buitengewoon slecht, onvriendelijk en ruw. Dit is niet acceptabel, en de manier waarop de vrouw die de service verleent praat, is volledig verkeerd. We zijn buren en elke keer dat we een kans geven om de plaats te bezoeken, is de hetzelfde teleurstelling!

Delicious chicken schnitzel with fries from peeled potatoes. That peeling deserves an extra compliment in my opinion.

Je krijgt weinig sprareribs (wel lekker!), geen groente (?) en 15 frietjes. Ik bestelde daarom extra frietjes, bij het afrekenen bleek dat ik daar 4,75 extra voor moest betalen. Echt belachelijk! Je krijgt veel te weinig eten voor je geld. En waar was de groente? Verder was er maar 1 toilet (?). Ook apart.

Food was ok, service was mediocre at best during our stay, but when it came time to get the bill, things got interesting. No possibility to split the bill in any way, "We don´t do that" we were told. I can understand if you wont split it by each person, but not even evenly with all three members.. After questioning this, in the end the waiter agreed on splitting it this time if I personally get a calculator and tell the amount and pointing at my phone. I was shocked that is she really asking for me to calculate the amount myself. "Not my job" was the answer... Really rude. She was saying that it says no splitting in the menu, but it would be helpful if you had a menu in English, unfortunately I cant speak or read Dutch... Worst service ever I´ve had in a restaurant..
