Cantina Del Corazon in Buitengebied Zuid

To be honest, I only know the café with a fantastic terrace by the water. We love coming here and having a few drinks by the water. The current owners, Evert and Karin, make all the difference for us. What lovely people, so warm and welcoming, and we feel truly at home. We don't come here often, which makes it extra special to run into familiar faces. Every 4th Saturday of the month is an open JAM night (music), and next time we're going for a bite to eat. Evert, Karin (and Storm), until next time!

It's fine here; we have been here a few times since April of this year for a drink. And we were approached and helped in a friendly manner by the owner.

Friendly and hardworking staff. Due to circumstances, the owner was also left with only one cook, and it kept getting busier. I have a lot of respect for how she still tried to keep everything running smoothly.

We rolled past Cantina Del Corazon with a group of inline skaters from all over the world and settled down on their waterside terrace. We had received a tip from the owners to go for a nice swim around lunchtime. And that’s exactly what we did! :) Great. The terrace felt like a private space and the service was fine. The food was also plentiful, because we had already covered 25km and you burn a lot of calories that way! I took the photo today while on my skates; besides Cantina Del Corazon, it also shows the beautiful new asphalt that we will soon all be able to roll over again. We rode past here on our motorbike and thought we'd stop for lunch. We had tea and a coffee, and then a platter for two. The empanada was cut in half; there was very little minced meat in it. The waiter came to the table with two plates to ask if we had ordered that. And he went on to ask everyone. The terrace is the only plus point because it is situated by the water. At another table, there were people who had been waiting for two cheese toasties for over an hour. And they received a lame excuse when they left, after paying 7.50 for two waters.

A cozy restaurant with a great atmosphere. Also recommended in summer because of the beautiful terrace on the Amstel River.

Beautiful place, the lady was a very welcoming host and the food was great with portion size not too large and not too small just perfect! Will come again and it’s great to hear from the host it’s a dog friendly venue so next time will bring the dogo!

The terrace is lovely, but you get very little for a lot of money. We ordered two sundaes for €8.50 each. Each sundae only contained one scoop of ice cream in some whipped cream and chocolate sauce. And that for so much money!

Nice decor with a bunch of scraps. At least that's how it looks, but it's still there. The food was excellent. Hopefully there will be more guests next time, but the weather wasn't great either.

It's always super cozy at Cantona Del Corazon. Everything is super taken care of, the tapas are delicious, everything is made with care and my girlfriend loves the onion soup. Don't buy anything here, you'll be lifted where you are. Chocomel with apple pie € 10.00. Apple pie is two slices of dough with pieces of apple and raisins. Chocomel is a small cup.

Unfortunately, you pay €11.50 for a plate of chips with guacamole and €4.25 for a 0.0 beer. Unfortunately, the service was also 0.0. On a nice Sunday there were also 0.0 people. I now see why, so I also think the chance that I will come back is 0.0. Too bad because it is in a nice place and has potential. My Corazon is a bit broken.

The location is unbeaten with its waterfront terrace above the river. The staff is super friendly and serviceable and goes the extra mile. All the time. The food varies. It's a Dutchified tex-mex-spain inspired list with enough choice for everyone, but don't expect a culinary experience. Just enjoy the view and your drinks!

We ate at Cantina Del Corazon for the first time yesterday. Man man what a great tent. The whole picture matched my expectations exactly. The food was wonderfully good. The owners were in the business themselves. You don't see this often. At the end of the evening they came for a chat. Definitely recommended to come more often.

Nice restaurant by the Amstel river to enjoy a sunny day. Staff is friendly and food is good. Prices are not cheap but it makes sense to the experience. During lunch you order inside and they serve you at your table, outside in our case.

The manner of service was very rude. The man appeared heavily intoxicated. The man made sexually inappropriate remarks to my mother. In retrospect, the receipt and the amounts turned out to be much too high; which made the bill significantly higher. We will never eat here again!

Nice company in terms of design. Only the prices are absurd! €48 for a bottle of wine and two separate glasses. It is therefore not surprising that on a Saturday afternoon when the weather is quite nice, there are not more people sitting here on the terrace. And it's not that I can't afford it, but the question is whether I want to pay for this. Answer: No, this was once and never again.

Nice terras at the riverside. But you you pay for it. The Food was ok but expensive. The portion of the dish could be more for the price. And salade and Fries is not included. So you have to pay extra. The bottle of Wine was too expensive comparing to other average restaurants...

Such a beautiful location with a terrace on the water but the owner ruins it. He has a terrible attitude, very stressed and rude. There was barely anyone there, and yet he was very very stressed. Spoke very rudely to us and the other 2 tables that were here.

The elderly gentleman serving was rude and didn’t seem like he was interested in serving customers. I used to go to this place in the summers when a lady was still serving. The place has a good view. And when they want to serve right, the food is decent. But the elderly gentleman was too rude for me to visit this place again. If he is the owner, he should sell this place and find something else that he likes to do, instead of driving customers away with his attitude and grumpiness.

This is an amazing place to visit and enjoy it all. The environment, the place and most of all, the food is incredible and good! Besides, the owners are friendly and deliver good service. We were on a cycling trip with friends. They've also enjoyed it. Thank you!

For 2 coffees and an "apple pie" €19.50. Apple pies consist of a thin wrap and cubes of apple and raisins. Very sweet and a small dollop of whipped cream. My response that I didn't like this apple pie was met with the only response: oh. Well, I'll just go with this. We have eaten here before, but this is our last visit to Cantina Del Corazon

Apple pie too disgusting for words. In short, just scandalous and we haven't even mentioned the price that was asked for it. The coffee was good, but still......

Bediening was erg matig werd niet goed naar ons geluisterd ze hadden weinig tijd voor de klant tenzij het niet druk was waren veel met zich zelf bezig, taras licht aan het water dat was heel mooi was zelf bediening tenzij sommige wel bediend worden.

They haven't been open for 15 minutes and are already grumpy. It is already self-service here for customers on the terrace (which I find ridiculous, I might as well go to the supermarket and sit next door on a bench) but then also be super customer unfriendly to me and then ask 15 euros for 2 bottles beer, which he can't even pour without spilling. This restaurant is in the wrong place! Her is tex mex...I expected more Mexican food besides a tortilla dip. Wouldn't return anytime soon.

Disappointing. Unfriendly. A soft pancake with some fruit in between should resemble apple pie. Cappuccino machine broken. Unfriendly people. It is understandable that the terrace is empty regardless of the beautiful spring weather.

The terrace in the sun is beautiful, therefore a 5 for atmosphere. The food was mediocre, the goat cheese salad was dripping in dressing, the dessert Toasted almond was a glass of Bailey's with almonds somewhere at the bottom and a scoop of ice cream. The apple pie is not a Dutch apple pie but a kind of wrap with apple. Then the service: the younger lady serving was great, but the older gentleman (owner?) gave very strange comments, as if we were crazy or something when we finally asked where our 2nd appetizer was... The menus he promised didn't come either. The most awkward moment was when he had a communication dispute with other guests that he supposedly did not understand. The waitress was really a lifesaver, you're not going to embarrass your guests. Oh yes: a very small bowl of fries: 5.50. The price/quality ratio is lacking here. The strange thing is, we had a delicious meal here in the winter. Then the older lady was serving, she was now in the kitchen? The location is TOP, but such an owner in the service is really not possible. Not worth repeating for us, for these menu prices there is plenty of other choice.

had a nice swim next to the restaurant. We wanted to order some delicious bitterballen with something to drink. drinks came very quickly but the waiter forgot the bitterballen. Very bad in my opinion. We waited 45 minutes for the bitterballen after we said they had forgotten them. the clerk was not very professional and just sat at a table very randomly. I wouldn't recommend going there.

It's nice to sit by the water, drink a beer and later order a bitter garnish, many boats pass by so there's no boredom there, always something to do!

Relax on the terrace by the water and out of the wind. Good coffee and a special apple point that you wouldn't expect, ideal place to take a rest during your (motorcycle) ride.

Today we had a delicious meal here. Beautiful along the Amstel, tasteful Mexican dishes. The TOSTOSTAS TODOS really found very tasty and the dessert (Toasted Almonds) was also great!

Been deathly ill from the food. Went for dinner with a friend. Both sick in the evening. And the staff was not really very warm. Great place for an entrepreneur who would put some love into it. For now I would drive past it.

Very nice place with a nice terrace on the water and good food, we really enjoyed both the vegetarian tapas and the meat and fish main courses. If you are looking for a cozy restaurant on the water in a quiet area, then this is definitely recommended!

You are in a beautiful location on the Amstel. The food is nothing special. Frozen beans in salad is really possible. A little more love and spices in the preparation will do wonders.
